Had to take a cold shower for 2 days.
No hot water in our room until the 3rd day
They need to replace thet flush valve on the commode.
It would run contentious and whistle until we took the lid off and press the center of the float valve.
I reported this to the front desk each day

Every room was dirty, pool was unusable, breakfast was simple not many choices and cards for rooms stopped working many times!! It was very unfortunate as it was in such a great location. Elevator out. Pool was closed. Room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet was gross (musty/moldy). There was no hot water. Visible mold throughout. No real lighting in the room. Breakfast was a continental with the option to microwave pancakes. They did give us another room after they saw all the issues. The new room was much better but still had visible mold and the toilet did not work well (running). This place needs to be closed for a full renovation.

This place needs condemed and shut down. Worst stay of my life. Some electrical panel doors were rotted off so they replaced with wood? Lots of missing door knobs.Only elevator was down. Pool had a huge mass of hair floating and it was stagnant, dirty, smelly water. Broken tile 8n the pool area was a safety issue, incident waiting to happen. Trash was all over the hallways. There was a condom wrapper in the ramp area both days we were there. Room was okay, but one TV was a bit junky and the railing in the loft was sketchy at best. I cannot over state how nasty the hotel was. Breakfast was stale junk. I had to cancel our stay even though we were booked for 4 days, I could only stomach 2. Do yourself a favor, stay LITERALLY ANYWHERE else.

Also got to witness someone being arrested when we first got there and management stuffing towels under the doors on the first floor during a light rain, because water pools up in that hallway and goes under the doors...

The suite was designed nicely but the hotel overall has seen better days. There were broken items, quite a few outlets didn’t work, and while it wasn’t disgusting, it is not the cleanest hotel in the area.

Overall it was fine for a couple nights but for the same price you can find a hotel that’s in better shape with more than one or two staff trying to put in effort.

This property has seen better days, The only great thing i can say about this Hotel is the bed was very comfortable, the location was in walking distance to all the things downtown has to offer as well as being close to the walking spur in the park and the National Park sign and...The Broken elevator helped me get my steps in every day walking up to the 3rd floor multiple times a day. I felt the neighborhood was safe and the price aligned with the hotel level.

I have stayed at a lot of places in Gatlinburg but this is by far the worse place I have stayed. I highly recommend you skipping this place. The location is great but that is about it. The elevator was broken and they had no idea when it was going to be fixed. We were paced on the 3rd floor with a toddler. The only way you could get your stuff upstairs was an extremely steep ramp that was not worth using. The rooms smelled like mild dew and weed the whole time we were there. There were holes in walls and they just painted over them. The skin was about to fall off. The pool looked so dirty. Almost a brown color. The parking deck was wet due to rain and it was extremely slippery. Holiday inn needs to come in and take this place over and completely over hall it.

Room was awful. Blood stains on headboard and comforter in 1 bed plus on 2 towels. There were dried boogers with hair stuck on them on the over sheet for the other bed. The barhroom had dirty floors by the toilet and the tub wasn't clean either. Only enough towels for 3. Room had 1 light which was over the bed clos3st to the door. There were 2 bedside reading lights. There was a bubble (looked like water leak from upstairs) in the ceiling by 2nd bed. There was a sizable crack around the top of the entrance door and a hole drilled into the door near the doorknob.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Offered shampoo and conditioner! Small mini fridge and small microwave.

Pool was tiny and only 5' at deepest. Didn’t go in. Lifht was strobing and resembled lightning.

Breakfast was 2 types of cereal (both stale) in a dispenser, bagels, bread and pancakes all in individual zip lock bags, pre-packaged muffins, yogurt and individual peach cups in syrup. There was a microwave and toaster avail. They also had coffee in 3 strengths, hot chocolate, tea, decaf and OJ.

Exterior of building was in disarray. No signage lit up at night. Roof and sign in poor condition. Kids said it didn't feel safe there at all, I agreed.

Would not recommend.

To be clear; we are in no way picky or hard to please! This was our 4th & final time staying here so I feel like we’ve stayed at this property enough to accurately review it. It’s not fancy by any means but the rooms have always been clean & comfortable enough to get by which is why we’ve come back. This time though we really started to notice how dirty & unkept the property itself is. Trash laying around, patio dirty with chair cushions thrown around and cigarettes laying around (consistent with each stay we’ve had). The pool area is consistently nasty looking. It rained pretty hard and the walk ways were flooded which just added to our frustrations. Throughout every stay we’ve had the rooms have always had something consistently broken; fireplace didn’t work, light didn’t work etc. this time our toilet didn’t work & they moved us to a new room which was fine but just inconvenient. The room they moved us to had a connecting door to the room next to us - the door in our room was so loose that if the people next to us decided to open theirs; it could have been easily kicked in which is a major safety issue. Our key cards kept deactivating (the people next to us kept having the same issue also). It’s an older building which we completely understand; but just because it’s older doesn’t mean it has to be dirty/unkempt. If you have a quick stay - sure stay here, but if it’s a longer stay I would consider elsewhere.

Pros: very nice staff, very convenient to the strip & nat’l park

The staff were fine. The problems started in the elevator. The walls looked like giant rats had been chewing on them for about a year. The carpet in the elevator was disgusting. “Filthy” doesn’t come close to describing how nasty they were. I may have to burn my shoes. Now to the room. The electrical outlets by the bed didn’t work. Not only that, there was one outlet that the plug wouldn’t even stay in. It was like it wasn’t there. One of the pillow cases looked like the cleaning staff had used it to clean the sidewalk. Dirty and VERY noticeable. The molding around the a/c unit was falling off. The bathtub had hairs everywhere. Had to rinse them out before using it. The electrical outlet in the bathroom worked…sort of. The ENTIRE plug was falling out of the wall. Not secured at all. To its credit, it did work. Prior patching of holes in the wall were sloppy and not professional looking at all. Other than an I’m sorry, the desk clerk didn’t seem overly concerned. I wouldn’t stay at the Days Inn Gatlinburg if my life depended on it. I have photos in the event that the manager wants to see.

The room was absolutely neglected. This entire hotel needs to be renovated. No curtains on the window. We asked and were provided a comforter instead to Mcgiver a solution. It sorta worked. Bathtub drain was plugged and they did get that issue corrected. Multiple receptacles didn’t work properly and bathtub water fill faucet handles were falling off. Hot tub functioned but not fully. Room was cleaned but there were bugs. Hotel staff was friendly and housekeeping did their best considering the hand they were dealt. The location is good and the potential is there but corporate needs to spend some money and update this hotel.

I did not have a balcony room. My room was on ground level with the window directly in the parking lot, literally 2 feet from the hood of a car parked in front of it. We could not open the blinds because people in the parking lot and getting in/out of their cars could look right in. This was unfortunate because the room was very dark with no lamp for the desk. I asked for a lamp because we needed to do some work at the desk but they didn’t bring one until our last night. The facility was very old, mildewy bathroom and the entire facility is in desperate need of a remodel.

Room definitely needed a lot of work for things to work properly. If you get a room on the backside near the restaurant, beware that the trash people come through after 11pm to get the dumpsters on that side of the street (one morning it was 3am when they went through). The door had a slight gap at the bottom that bugs came through. The lights in the room had a lot that were out so we only had it lit up a little when lights were turned on. The water spigot for the tub was coming out of the wall so you had to be careful when turning on/off the water. The bathroom fan absolutely sucked and the bathroom light was outside of the bathroom. The location was great, we didn’t eat the complimentary breakfast (we didn’t wake up in time for that).
