The room was clean, but the shower drain was broken and came up everytime you stepped on it, the toilet seat was not attached to the toilet, and the shower handle would come off everytime you turned the water on. I do like the contactless check in and out but it would still be nice to see someone on the property for emergencies or anything else that might come up. Overall the room was nice and the bed was super comfy.

As I am local to the area, I know how long the structure has been there, so I was very impressed with the work in progress on the renovations and the potential the property holds. Very clean! Check in process was very convenient even though no one mans the office which is completely understood. Location, at the end of the strip just up the hill, closer to going up the mountain. And for the price and everything else I previously described, you really can’t beat it. I will be a returning customer.

Beds were comfy. Pillows were good. I love the contactless check-in. All hotels should do this. There was constructions due to a burst pipe but they were very accommodating and it didn’t last long. The only issue was pipes banging. Sounded like someone was knocking. Other than that, everything was great.

The property is walkable to the Ober area and most of the main strip of gatlinburg. The rooms is great and inviting. Easy check in and out. Love that they send you the info the day of check in to how to access the room. Also love that they send you the link to fill out registration info before arrival. Would definitely stay there again.

Room itself was just fine, had all the basics plus fridge and microwave. No table and chair, however. No bolt on the door for additional locking from the inside. Hard to find the room due to lack of signage for room numbers. Plumbing backed up overnight and gurgling sound coming from toilet and sink, along with the fear that the water would spill out onto the floor/into room (didn't actually back up enough for that to happen, in the end) made for a poor night's sleep. Incredibly close (4-minute walk) to both the main drag in town, and to the trailhead to the Gatlinburg Trail in the Smokies national park.

Cheap price, you get what you pay for. Contactless check in was really easy. If I had issues it would have been hard to get in touch with anyone. Building is…. Unimpressive and dingy outside. The room was fairly spartan but clean and nice. There was no toilet paper provided in the bathroom which wasn’t optimal. Never felt unsafe but wouldn’t be my choice if I planned my trip further out.

Room met expectations and clean. The facility is under renovation and is obvious that everything is not complete.
Service is set up to be like a cabin- No daily housekeeping, self check-in/out, and no staff on site. I appreciate the privacy. Only complaint is I would like more towels for the length of stay.
Location is decent, much quieter than being on the parkway, but not too lengthy of a walk to eat or hike. Easy to park and get out of town, via the bypass.

I would not stay here again after all the hassles with self check in.

I read and checked within “about the hotel” and facilities and there was no reference to no staff being present and having to fill in online forms when I’m from the UK and don’t have a telephone easily that works.

Under “about the hotel”, it even said good staff!! There is no member of staff. So you can imagine they economise on everything.

I saw a family at midnight outside a room for 20 mins making calls and frantically worried trying to get into their room.

It took me half an hour to find the volume button on the remote lol it’s hidden on the side BTW.

The hotel took no responsibility for the poor website description and just want to grab your money and provide no assistance.

In the room, normally I wouldn’t care that there was only one small towel. And a small double bed in already a small room.

Outside seemed a little sketchy when we first arrived but the room was perfect! Parking lot was a little small so depending on what time you got back for the evening you might have slight troubles finding a parking spot. Room was clean, stocked with plenty of towels, brought our own soaps but the hotel also supplied quite a few! Would definitely stay again.

The sheets were sandy and damp feeling. We found a lot of curly hair on the floor as well as a few spiders in the bathroom area. The bathroom area was recently updated and nice, but the rest of the hotel was very basic. They do not have any visible signage to even let you know you're at the hotel. There is no front desk, and it's unclear where you should park. We parked at the Motel 6 that was adjacent to the hotel, and hoped that we didn't have a parking ticket in the morning. It was a place to stay, and it was quiet, but I probably would not stay there again, unless I was in a pinch!

Not bad for the price

It was hard to rate this motel. The lady we met who did the cleaning was extremely nice and did a great job. There was no other staff to review, so that is that.
There is no one to check you in, you wait for an email or text to tell you your room # and entry code. Which in itself isn't horrible, but, the room numbers are engraved very small and we walked around for quite a while trying to find it. The outside literally made me start looking online for another place to stay, but inside, the rooms are very nice. We booked a king room with a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. But, the balcony was not usable, which bothered us. There was no place to sit and relax unless you sat in your room.
Would we stay again? Probably not. Not because it was bad or anything like that. We would like a usable balcony to relax on and a pool on a hot day. The price was great and it served its purpose for this visit.

This place was in a very good location walking distance to everything in Gatlinburg and very spacious for our family of 5 and a baby 2 bathroom 2 bedroom 4 beds for the price it's not bad! The outside wasn't all that but if your just looking for a place to lay your head at I recommend for a big family!!

It felt like someone had a hotel, and they didn’t want to stop it, and they didn’t wanna make a particularly nice, so they have fairly adequate rooms and then just left it. It was cheap, both the experience and the price. I would not recommend it nor would I tell someone to avoid it at all cost.

Don’t let the outside scare you away from this place. We spent two nights here. The room was simple, clean, freshly remodeled with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean. Easy contactless check in with door access code sent to you with room number via text message. If you want simple l, clean, close to the main Gatlinburg strip and walking trails that’s your place. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Gatlinburg.

The room didn't look anything like the picture and appeared to be much smaller as well. The bed was pushed against the wall in order for there to be a walkway to get into the bathroom. The bathroom was so small you'd hit your elbow trying to use the toilet. The sink leaked from the drain, flooding the floor. All in all, for the price, I can't be too upset.

Looks are deceiving at the place. Its not the cleanest looking on the outside. But, as soon as you walk into the room it is night and day. Rooms are completely renovated, laminate flooring, tile shower, very nice dresser. The only con is the bed. But, it was just a preference thing on the bed. I like a firm bed and this bed was way to soft. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head and enjoy gatlinburg because it is only a 5 min walk to Ober Mountain and pther attractions, this absolutely fits the bill. But other than that this hotel was an absolute banger for the buck. I will definitely be staying here again.

In the heart of Downtown, walking distance. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the Bathroom design (Unable to load Pictures. Sorry)! Spoke with the Owner who is really sweet, on Check Out day. He stated the Pool Renovations should be completed by Summer, along with other upcoming Lodge features. Will definitely book again in the Future! 👌

This was a new place for me to stay this year. Apprehensive upon Arrival in the early AM(DARK).. NOT insecure but deserted looking. Exterior Needs some TLC...Please Cover OLD POOL.. But was VERY Happy to be accommodated with getting into my Room much earlier than the advertised 300PM. The Room was GREAT Very Comfortable, Surprising the Remodeling Job, Big Room, Great Bathroom and Bathroom amenities. Lighting Very good.
and electrical outlets with USB.. Very Friendly and Helpful Gen Manager Rick(attentive to individual needs)
Not on site all the time but on line Email and Text Check-In and Out was Awesome. And Very Important GREAT RATE... Much Lower than expected and Great view going up the side of the Mountains from Front near OBER INCLINE TRAM.. Very near the Heart of Gatlinburg Action, Convention Center, Lots of great Food and entertainment on Ski Mountain Dr. Amazingly Quiet except very early morning Gatlinburg Garbage Pickup. The place was prefect for my family of 7. We had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable. I especially liked the shower! The room wasn’t super clean it was just dusty, but the beds seemed to be clean. The floors were dirty, and there was dust kind of everywhere, but listen, we will 100% stay here again. My kids were impressed, and the beds were comfortable. They are already asking to go go back!

The room was by the vending macines and it was very noisy as people used the machines and taked outside of our window during the night.The hotel should finish renovations before renting rooms. The property around the hotel is in very bad shape.

Felt so unsafe staying here.

It was terrible. My friend and I felt so terrified to stay there. It did not feel safe at all and the room did not feel clean. Our room code was incredibly easy to guess. There were a lot of men loitering in front out our room. When we arrived, the balcony door was left unlocked and we were on the first floor. We were trying to sleep and heard constant tapping from what sounded like the balcony. My friend went to check what it was, and when she peaked her head through the curtains, it instantly stopped. The men were coming to and from different rooms and were staying on both sides of us. They were standing outside of our door yelling and we heard a scream. We felt so so unsafe, we decided to leave. I should also mention that our door didn’t even have a deadbolt??? When we were leaving we ran out the door and one of the men opened up the door a crack and was staring at us. SO CREEPY DONT STAY HERE. With no front desk, it didn’t seem to come across as a problem at first, but if something were to go wrong, you have no one to help you. The blanket also sucked, it was like a paper sheet. I’ve seen so many reviews of people feeling unsafe.

Getting the negative out of the way quickly, the motel itself could use a little facelift. That's just me being picky. It did not distract me from my stay.

Now for the positive. I got a three bedroom two bath room that I was super impressed with. For the money, I just couldn't go wrong with this place. My room was in great condition. Super clean and the AC units were cranking. I loved the decor. Plenty of towels. The balcony was a little cramped, but I did get to see some bears while I was sitting on it. I will be returning in May and again next September!

This is a very dated hotel being renovated, but all we need for quick trips like ours is a clean place, with a decent bed, which this was. It's 300 yards to the edge of the main tourist area. We walked down and did tastings and had dinner. Good evening all around. If you like fancy, this is not your place, but if you like a reasonable stay close to attatrctions try this place.

First of all, this is a super old hotel. Not a lodge in the mountains directly off of the parkway.

The room was big with three beds, that’s what attracted me since 3 of us were on a motorcycle trip.

It seemed like that tried to facelift this place buy nailing pallet board to the walls to make it “rustic” or give it that lodge feel.

There were towels but no soap. So don’t forget to bring that. There was no front office, so no where to go ask for soap.

Since no office, I was texted a code to the door.
The location is great. It’s Gatlinburg and everything is walkable.

The sheets in my bed had a weird stain on them, but seemed clean.

They did have nice new Roku tv’s in each room.

I’d stay here again if I was solo, or on a dudes MC trip, but I wouldn’t bring my lady on a romantic weekend.

It looks like the property is getting renovated but that aside, the whole process of getting checked in was a breeze. The room was very clean, could walk around in white socks and not end up with dark bottoms! The extra towels was AMAZING. I always wipe down toilets and faucets before i use them and as like the floor, the wipes werent dirty. Very close to everything we wanted, we walked to the aquarium, steak house and ice cream shop without breaking a sweat! Customer service was great too, I like the texting and keyless entry! Overall, great experience with the hotel!

It was super cute in pictures, but it was much smaller than expected. It wasn’t cleaned well. There was a mildew smell in one of the rooms and there seemed to be new wood in some areas so seemed like it was still behind it. The pool wasn’t in working condition and many of the rooms were under construction. On the plus side, there were plenty of towels and my dad enjoyed the coffee.

What looked to be a quaint little motel hotel was nothing but a disgusting disappointment. Within 20 seconds of getting out of our vehicle after traveling 11 hours we witness a hit and run in the parking lot. That was a little odd, we decided we would check the room before lugging our stuff in, we did and we’re not impressed. Bathtub finish was peeling, black mold in the air conditioner and on the couch, sharp edges and nails sticking out of the corrugated sheet metal in the bathroom, cat scratch damage in the bathroom all over and a dead house cat with a collar on the corner of the parking lot. We went to go speak with the “office” but as we approached, we noticed 5 large males all hanging out smoking and decided we would rather sleep in the car. Luckily we found a room down in town that didn’t abut the sketchy area this was located. Hoping for a refund but if I don’t get one, that’s fine I’ll enjoy my 3800 mile road trip better knowing I didn’t have to stay at this dump. Very disappointed, the website is great, Expedia pics are decent but in person… not okay at all. Highly not recommended, pay another 100$ and stay somewhere nicer without question.

I think we were the only ones staying in this motel. We were backpacking and only needed a shower, laundry, and bed. So with those requirements it was OK. But I would never stay here for a vacation. It's run down, pool is drained, other than the frogs in the little bit of water, office smelled like cigarette smoke. It could be a cute place but needs a major overhaul. Nothing's been done to it in years.
