Very clean, cute decor, pool looked pristine even though we didn't swim. We wouldn't stay anywhere else! Everyone gets an assigned parking spot. Rooms large and have a table and chairs. I cannot say enough good things about this motel. Oh yes- fire pit to relax by at night and adorable Adirondack chairs.

We recently stayed at Marshall’s Rest Motel during our “last vacation” of the summer celebration. This was our 3rd time staying here. What i like best about staying here is the cute cozy rooms (which are clean & well maintained), the pool area which offers a view of the river while you swim or relax pool side & the closeness to downtown (only a 4 min walk). Over all this place offers it all. Clean rooms, great service & short walking distance to the strip. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a great family owned, clean place to stay. We will definitely be staying again in the future!

The Marshall Creek Rest Motel was a delightful stop after a long day at Dollywood. It had everything we needed for a basic stay-comfortable bed, cold a/c, great water pressure-and several excellent touches like convenient hooks wherever we seemed to need one, a fridge, WiFi, and a friendly check in experience. We didn’t check out the pool or creek side seating area, but they looked nice. Gatlinburg is intense—SO many tourists and lots of traffic—so we were glad to get out of town early after a comfortable night sleep and excellent showers. Thanks!

It is old-school in character but very clean, well maintained, quaint and comfortable. It sits right along the creek with lovely outdoor seating as well as rockers on the porch. The rooms are small but have all that you need.

The price was very reasonable. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to the busy Gatlinburg strip and there is also a shuttle bus stop at the motel if you want to ride to any of the other attractions in town. We would stay here again if we came back.

Such an amazing little gem, nestled right in the heart of Gatlinburg. Just a few min walk down to the Pancake Pantry and the entire strip is at your service. Check-in was a breeze, the room was cozy and just right. I chose this place due to all of the awesome reviews I read and I was overwhelmingly surprised those reviews did live up to their comments.
A few items that were a surprise but not a shocker:
Walls were thin enough to hear neighbors, bathroom shower head seemed lower than normal? The heater will definitely cook you, so finding your comfort level only takes a few times. We kept the bathroom door closed on the last night and the next morning it was freezing in there. The little window was not air tight. Again, not all things perfect but not a deal breaker for me. Towels were clean and fragrant, floors clean, bed was soft and comfy and bed linens were like what I have at home.

What a gem! Though a little rustic, hands down the cleanest place I have ever stayed. I'm normally a Hilton type girl and took a chance on this place because I liked the location and the reviews were great. I would rate the bed 7/10, however for 3 nights it wasn't an issue. Cute, kitschy motel.

The location is ideal, off the main drag away from the noise and hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance which made it ideal. The owners were fantastic! Genuinely kind and friendly. I loved just about everything about the property except for the urine smell in the room, on the bedding, and towels. The property is very well kept. It's within walking distance to the SkyLift and right next to Anakeesta. The rocking chairs and other seating area in the property were nice. I wish it offered more breakfast options besides just coffee. Overall, though, it was a lovely motel. It's conveniently located to downtown and attractions.

Very convenient location from the strip. About 2 blocks uphill. This is a cute motel. Not many frills. But great for a long weekend stay. The rooms are kind of small but there is foldable table and chairs in the closet. The mattress are spring, but the sheets were clean and smelled nice. They do not supply hand towels for the restroom. And the towels could definitely use a little softner. But overall, nice stay.

If you want the feel of a cozy log cabin without the price this is it. We love it here abs the beds are so cozy. I am a very light sleeper so it's hard to sleep when I'm on vacation due to all of the noises in hotels. Doors slamming, kids running up and down hallways ect but we stay here because there is none of that. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Check in was smooth and easy. Room turn service was performed daily if you wanted. Pool was in good shape. Trolley stop is right across street. Walk to the strip is 5 minutes. Check out was just as smooth as check in. Be prepared for daily bear and raccoon visits. Improvements could be: The beds were not comfortable, but nothing is like home. The parking. Although you had a dedicated space for your room, the lot isn’t designed for large vehicles. A small sedan or similar would be fine. A large suv(Tahoe) or pickup truck it’s pretty tight. I would most definitely stay here again.

There's a reason this little hotel has the highest customer rating in Gatlinburg! If you want a great room with an even better price, just stay here. The rooms are so clean and inviting. The rocking chairs are comfortable and a great place to unwind or get ready for the day with your coffee. The owners are nice and will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. The pool is 8' DEEP (they have a shallow end too) and clean. The walk to the "strip" is easy both ways and shady. We stayed here for a quick birthday getaway. We ate out for every meal but delivery options are abundant. The mini-fridge and microwave are enough to heat up and store leftovers. The water pressure in the shower was great and the bathroom and towels were clean. To my surprise the mattresses were more comfortable than any other big name hotel (and we stay at a lot of hotels)!! My sis-in-law stayed with us and there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. We met some friendly neighbors and enjoyed watching the wildlife, the people passing by, and just listening to the creek with good conversation. Would absolutely stay here again!

Marshall's Creek Rest Motel is in the perfect location to everything in Gatlinburg. We parked our car when we arrived and walked everywhere for two days. The hotel is very clean. The outside is quant with porch swings and rocking chairs.
