This is a no frills motel with a price that reflects that.
The location is quite perfect. Sadly the area looks a little sketchy but It isn't directly on the the strip, so no bright lights or loud noises. And I really didnt see anything that made me worry. It sits right behind the strip at the end. You can walk down one side and back on the other.
I was pleasantly surprised about how clean the room was. I didn't have to complain about hair or stains. As a person who used to clean hotel rooms, I always check. Another thing I was happy about was there was a Keurig! And not a small cheap one but a pot or cup one. Needless to say, our first job then was to locate Walmart to purchase coffee supplies.
The bed was super comfy(pillows should be replaced), water pressure was wonderful( maybe a bit too hot), and I didn't need my glasses to see the TV. Air conditioner did not do a very good job cooling the room. Sleeping was a challenge as it was hot. It was like having night sweats. I spoke with a lady in the next room and her air was cooling fine.
Check in was strange to me as the lobby was locked when we arrived at 4:20 pm. There is a note on the door giving a number to call as they had to step away. She was back within a minute and I didn't have to use the number. As it turns out, the front desk person is also your housekeeper. Kudos to her because that is a lot of work for 1 person. Especially during the busy season and every day of my stay, she was the only worker.

No ice available, rooms smelled bad and sheets are stained. The only thing amazing in that place is the front desk/maid/anything else woman by the name of Monique. I hope she finds another establishment to work for because she is amazing and whoever is running Timber Lodge doesn’t deserve her!
Definitely would not recommend!!

Room was clean. The a/c had been left off all day so room was hot at first.. shower handle was broke and just laid in the side of the tub with no instructions on how to use (my husband figured it out). Tv wouldn’t stay connected to internet. But other than that the price for what we got was not bad at all. If you’re needing a cheap room just to sleep this will get the job done.

Our room was nice, there was no Continental breakfast, outdoor pool was filled in with dirt and grass, the ice machine and pop machine were broken, the clerk/ housekeeper, was the only person we saw the week we were there. No extra towels, never offered commadation for things that were not available to us when it was advertised on the site. Clerk/housekeeper never asked us how are stay was or offered us if we needed something. The only problems in the room was the dresser/ TV stand was broke couldn't pull the drawers out. The bath tub was little and the soap holder was missing on the shower wall. Never offered extra toilet paper. Was told that there was no smoking on property unless we set in our vehicle with the windows up. Well it gets extremely hot after a while, and with gas prices it gets kinda hard to keep running your air conditioner in your vehicle. And the other option was to walk off the property. So for the price we paid for a week the hotel was misleading but the whole trip was well worth the drive and expense.

Room was nice, good parking, all I can really say it’s just sketch. There’s never any worker at the front desk, the only reason I got into my hotel is because some dude went up to us and gave us a number to get into the room. There was a hole in the roof of our showers. The beds are pretty nice. It’s a very easy walk to down town.

Getting a hold of someone at the front desk is impossible, sheets and carpet were stained, and don't even think about a medium water temperature. Either scalding hot or ice cold. Ice machine doesn't work. Gaps in doors letting air in. Not a good stay.

The property is pretty run down. Needs some updates for sure. The rug and the bathtub were very dirty. Just so everyone is aware, no one works there in the middle of the night, so if you loose your key or have problems I’m not sure who you contact.

The floors were gross but everything else seemed fine until i got in bed. I felt super itchy but thought i was imagining it. I woke up to bug bites all over me. Not to mention the walls are super thin. A family was physically hitting their kids throwing them in the car at 7am.. i wouldn't recommend

Office was locked and no one around to check in. No clean towel service because there was never a manager or anyone around seemed to be no one working there. I have been to $40 a night motels before and none were even close to as bad as this one which was much more expensive. Basically no sleep for 3 nights due to the noise and fighting from ones we found out lived there. The room next to us 1 bedroom 5 kids and 3 adults, they said they lived there. Police were out 2 times in one night due to the who lived there. The manager didn't even show up when the police were out. Have audio we took inside our room and could hear everything from outside and the room adjacent. There are really no words to describe how dirty other than pictures we took which do not come close to matching web site. Came back 2nd night and a bicycle was upside down in front of our door and trash everywhere. Another couple left after the 1st night due to the filth and noise. I am not sure whey anyone would allow this motel to be listed on there sight.

Stink bug infestation

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL!!! We checked in close to 8pm & realized our room had an infestation of stink bugs. I went straight to the desk. The attendant said there was nothing they could do and they weren’t harmful. He basically said all the hotels had them this time of year. I asked to be moved to a different room so they could call pest control. They refused. I called the number for the owners the next morning. They said they would come check things out & never came by. There were stains all over the carpets. If I could have gotten a room at another hotel in the area, we would’ve been out of there. Unfortunately this was a record breaking weekend for Gatlinburg. There was no housekeeper available throughout our stay. We also found stink bugs in the bed & I asked the front desk a second time to call pest control. They refused. They also refused to give me an alternative number for the owners to complain. We killed dozens of bugs during our stay & didn’t have access to extra clean towels until the last night due to no housekeeping services over the weekend. The guy at the front desk actually had to do laundry so we could get clean towels.

The property did not match the pictures shown when booking. The front desk person led me to the room with a bottle of air freshener in hand. As we were heading to the room, we had to pass other guests that were very unsavory and had trash all around their door. The door to the room we were supposed to stay in didn't shut well; the light switches didn't work on the lights. The bathroom was extremely dirty. We decided that we could not stay, and they would not offer a refund.

We checked in but checked right back out we got into the room and they gave us another room the 1st one had shower handle missing leaking water the room was not that clean stains on comforter. The second room was not that clean old and smelled of mold. This place is just awful the manager told the front desk they would give out money back and they lied to us we waited on them to respond for 20 mins. Do not stay at this place.

The stay was ok definitely wouldn’t recommend it unless it was the only place that had openings. The room wasn’t the cleanest. Others didn’t have any respect of their neighbors with being loud till 2 o’clock in the morning. It wasn’t the greatest cause there was no communication with how to check out. You had to call someone which wasn’t always the nicest. I definitely wouldn’t be coming back to this place anytime soon. I do recommend that maybe there be a receptionist at the place just in case people need them.

The hotel needs gutted and rebuilt

Avoid. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. It is a beat down motor lodge with nasty stained carpet, stained bedding, dead bugs, and a musty smell. Door had gaps in weatherstripping so anything crawling around outside comes in. Sent photos of the disgusting carpet and bedding to hotels dot com, but fighting with property over refund. Hotel offered a different but equally disgusting room. Hotels dot com so far is only offering a quarter of what I paid as one key cash. I didn't stay in the room and ended up with a 3+ hour drive back home in the dark and rain. Trip was ruined.

Positives were a big tv, microwave, fridge and very comfy bed. Negatives were towels and sheets were dirty, clumps of hair on bathroom wall, very thin walls so could hear everything from rooms beside/above/beneath us. Sink and bath taps worked but broken. Exterior very dated.

I didn't like anything about it but the convenience of the location but the experience was terrible!! The coffee pot still has coffee in it,there was an empty liquor bottle in the dresser,the heat didn't work and we didn't figure that out til 1:30am and we checked the filter and it hadn't been cleaned in months. We contacted the owner she said we could move rooms but the manager on duty just brought us a space heater said this is all I can do all the rooms are dirty,no occupied but dirty!! Why couldn't he clean one so we could have heat???? We left a day early due to it being really cold and they didn't want to provide a source of heat that actually worked. I'm very disappointed in my experience

First room had no TV. Changed room and looked half renovated Bathroom door broken. Shower old mold looking and heater worked but unable to set temp so would never turn off over heating area. Had to keep turning on to take of the chill and then turning off when to hot.

Our heater didn't work in 25 degree weather. We told the man in the front office and he said \"never heard that before\" and gave us a small space heater he was using for this office (they dont have heating?) from the 80s and told us to use this to warm our entire room. My husband went back and told him we needed a new room as that heater was a joke. They DID give us a new room. The room still had stuff from the previous user. We found lolipop sticks, hair clips, their food left over in the fridge. I guess you get what you pay for as this was one of the cheapest hotels in Gatlinburg for that time. The rooms were decorated nicely and the bed was comfortable. Close enough to walk downtown. Okay if you're just needing it for one night.
