The hotel is older but fairly well maintained. The room was somewhat updated but still showed its age. It was clean. The hot tub worked great! Very deep and ample size for 2 adults. It was only a 10-15 min walk to the main strip...and the free trolly stopped right in front of the hotel - but on the opposite side of the street.

The outside made us alittle nervous and you have to drive around to a differenty property to check in. However the room was spotless, bed was comfy and the size was good. I do suggest adding some type of traction to the ramps leading to the second floor. Its slick in the rain and steep.

Check in staff, Jerry & Larry were great! Very pleasant, personable and informative. Room was clean and spacious. A quaint feature was no curtains but had wooden shutters covering the windows that could be opened when you wanted. Bed was soft and comfortable . Jacuzzi tub was worth the extra cash. Only complaint was noisy ppl coming in after 11. Horns blowing multiple times when car doors locked. A plus was you could not hear people talking through the walls like you can in many motels. I Great place to see the bears come down out of the mountains. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

It was amazing! I was expecting some run down room for the rate I got it for but when we had arrived the was smelled so clean and was cleaned. I loved that it had a standing small refrigerator in it! While it was very conveniently located, the pictures you see they have posted are not what you get. It’s clear they have done some remodeling but king room we stayed in and the double room our in-laws stayed in were not what we were expecting. It also appeared there was t much deep cleaning done. Our sheets had long black hairs (I’m red head) and along the walls hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Staff was very friendly and the pool was nice.

When I walked into our room, at first I was impressed with how clean everything appeared to be. We checked the bed for bed bugs as we do everytime we stay anywhere and we didnt find any. They actually had a protector on their beds to keeo bugs out which made me feel alot better. Upon closer inspection of the room though, my husband and I noticed the top of the bedframe, microwave and fridge were dusty, the plastic on the microwave and fridge was peeling off, the microwave doesnt heat as it should because it was missing the part that makes the dish spin. We had to meep rotating our food as a result. The bottom of the tub looked dirty but overall the tub worked fine. We thought the bathroom overall was way too small and my husband had to crouch to take a shower as his head kept hitting the ceiling. Overall, our stay was comfortable and okay for the price but we feel if the stated issues were fixed, our stay would have been alot more comfortable. Mostly due to how crowded it is near the hotel due to the business strip (which i dont consider the fault of this hotel, just how overall busy Gatlinburg is), we may stay in Pigeon Forge next time we come down as I notice its alot less busy out that way.

Very clean and cozy updated rooms! I've been stopping in Gatlinburg for 10 years on roadtrips and this is right off the \"main drag\" near anything and everything. One of the few hotels that still have honeymoon suites with jet tubs and even better they've been updated from the old heart shaped tubs. My partner and I will be staying here on future roadtrips. For the price, location, and updated rooms this is one of the best spots to stay in town if you ask me.

Check which building your in since they have multiple units with vastly differing quality. The cheapest ones are basically motel dingy levels whereas the nicer rooms appear from the outside much much better but they really don’t show that in the pictures so you assume your getting a great room when in reality your not if you pick the cheaper rooms. Plus the staff was pretty disinterested in the clients and really make no effort at providing good customer service and experience.

Location is close enough to the strip to walk, but far enough away that you don’t hear the constant traffic & noise. We had an easy time finding where to check-in thanks to someone’s review saying to check in at the Carr’s Property. However, I do feel like that should be listed in the information for the room when booking. The room was decently clean. The bed wasn’t all that comfortable. The bathroom was pretty small, but serves its purpose. There are a few restaurants that are super close to the room. We walked to breakfast at Flapjack’s every morning & it was delicious. For the price, you can’t beat it this location & convenience.

The description of the location of the property is deceptive - it’s not close to where it says it is. the motel is dirty and gross. The two guys working the front desk were outside smoking when we got there, and weren’t nice at all. Didn’t feel safe for my kids to stay there, but property not willing to refund and ex-ped-ia was no help.

If you're looking for a motel, this is for you! The only good thing about our room was the jacuzzi tub. The TV didn't work. The wifi was weak. The sink didn't drain well. When using the sink, the drain would back up and hair would come up with it. The bathroom/shower had hair (not from someone's head) on the floor and in the shower.

The WiFi wasn’t great. There was mold in the bathtub and the toilet water ran all night. The noise was bothersome. Tho checkin it was a bit confusing as to where the office was, but the considere was helpful in directing us to him and was very welcoming.

The prices were so jacked up for NYE holiday. Supply & demand I guess. No frills room for sure. They gave plenty of towels and made them accessible to guests in lobby. Nice! This was a great last minute option for my stay in TN. I do wish for future tenants that the owners realize they need to specify that both carrs and country town are now under the same ownership somewhere on the directions to the office, thus both offices are combined on the carrs property. We walked around for 15 min on the country town property trying to figure out where the office was before having to call for clearer instructions.

One day getaway in the Mountains!
It was confusing on checkin where to go. It did not say that they handled several motels in one place. Finally found it after searching fo about twenty minutes. We got a code for the door. Room was small but it had a king bed. It was cozy and clean. There was some stain on baseboard at front door. There was also hair in bathroom on floor in corner by door. Bathroom was clean overall. I was happy that they gave us four towels ( with long hair I use two when showering) four hand towels and washcloths! Also hairdryer. Also I could dry hair in bathroom with door shut so husband can hear tv. Bed was comfortable. Large refrigerator. In room. It as cold but we did not put anything in it. If we had stayed longer we would have .they had a ramp to second floor instead of stairs which was nice but they are a little steep. Plenty of parking. For tge price we paid we would recommend this little diamond!! Close to the main downtown area. Easy in and out. Coffee in office also. Coffe pot in room!

Slightly Disappointing
The check-in was confusing. Two separate properties (Country Town N Suites and Carr's Cabins) have basically been consolidated. One office services both properties. I had reservations for the hotel property (Country Town N Suites). When I pulled into the hotel parking lot, there were no prominent signs or directions on how to find the office. Eventually, I found a small sign that directed you around the corner and a little bit of distance away from the hotel. The room was outdated for the price, but it was clean. The owners/managers were extremely friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.

The beds were great!!! Not enough towel racks. Nice shower, but towel rack over the toilet was beginning to rust. It was ok for one night. The gentleman helping us were very nice and helpful.

My only suggestion would be to put a bigger sign more noticable for check in we had to ask someone and others later asked us where the office for check in was . Other than that definitely had a wonderful restful stay

The room isn't bad for a mountain resort. No handicap facilities. No stairs or elevator a steep ramp to second floor barely walkable. No housekeeping. Laundry out of order. up charged to get a room on first floor. Couldn't get clean towels.

The room had an awful smell to it, and the people upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants all night past 1am. Other than that we enjoyed how close it was to some of the best restaurants in Gatlinburg. The staff was kind and understanding. We didn’t not complain because well we don’t like complaining. Wasn't the nicest place, you get what you pay for! Our room Wasn't terrible, however, it did have a musty odor. Very dated, and bathroom felt like a closet. Staff were very friendly and accomodating once we found the office.

The room was exactly how it looked online. The jetted tub wasn't as powerful as others I've used before but it was very relaxing. The room was clean and in decent shape. Some water damage on the wall by the bathroom that could easily be refinished. But for the price, I really can't complain.
