Our stay was disappointing from the start. On the first night, there was a lot of noise both outside and from the room above us, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, our room was located very close to the check-in office, which meant there was constant foot traffic and additional noise.

We were also disappointed that the room did not match the photos we saw on Expedia. It looked much different than what was advertised, which made the experience feel misleading.

We requested that our room be cleaned and that fresh towels be provided. While housekeeping did come by, the bed was not made properly, and it was obvious the room had not been cleaned thoroughly. It did not feel like the level of housekeeping service we expected.

Overall, the stay did not meet our expectations. We hope the property improves the accuracy of its online listings, reduces noise for guests where possible, and provides more thorough housekeeping service.

Family of 3, booked a king suite with pull out sofa for son. The room had decent space but balcony had not been cleaned in some time, spiders were everywhere! We were missing bed linens, arrived to a defrosted wet refrigerator, and only 3 satellite channels on the tv. The electric fire place and the view of the river was nice. Being 10-15 min walking distance to the main strip and having easy access to the trolley stop in front of hotel was nice. The staff was l rude when asked for pool towels and missing room linens. And the room phone did not work to call the front the desk. The pool was absolutely disgusting clumps of slime and hair balls floating around with lots of bugs, filter was either broken or turned off. At the bottom of the pool were sharp cement/plaster chunks that cut our toes and made us bleed. The continental breakfast was average and the same everyday.

We have stayed at this hotel everytime we have visited Gatlinburg over the last 13 years. Ot was always clean, good breakfast. Hot tub has been down a few times. Pool is as cd as jumping in a cooler of ice water. They have changed owners several times and it is about 1 mile downtown. We never cared because of the great service, comfy beds and it had everything we were looking for. We'll this week we planned our trip and stayed there even though they are more expensive than most. We needed to relax and enjoy some alone time. We get there to check in, of course the room isnt ready, I see a sign saying Hot tub is done which they say nothing about. When I asked about it, she stated it would be up and working in a day. Which was fine. They next day the pool is empty and the hot tub is not fixed. Still nothing was said to anyone. They fill the pool with ice cold water and didnt fix the hot tub. They replaced their firepits with metal containers and said go get wood out of the shed. They didnt give anything to start a fire, so that didn't work. The beds were the most uncomfortable and to top it all of the rooms they just redid now have paper thin walls. You can hear everything in the next room and above you. We were talking about extending our stay but we couldn't get out of there quick enough. Won't be back to Gatlinburg on the river! A waste of a vacation.

It is a nice place, located close to gondola that takes to Anakeesta , close to trails , shops and restaurants. We had a lovely balcony with a view of the river. There was some problem with the TV set , which did not work. Charge of $20 for two hours of late checkout (1 pm ) felt excessive given a $80 pet fee on top of a pricey motel. Thanks to bears , there was no trash around as was near some other motels. All trash is in the specially designed and locked metal boxes

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Upon arrival in the evening, I was informed of a vehicle cleanliness policy that had never been disclosed during the booking process or posted on the hotel’s website. Staff demanded that all food and drinks be removed from our vehicle immediately, despite the late hour and lack of prior notice.
When I explained that this policy had not been communicated, the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than working toward a reasonable solution, they refused to accommodate us and would not provide a refund, leaving us with no choice but to find other lodging.
The lack of transparency regarding hotel policies, combined with the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff, made for a very frustrating experience. I would encourage future guests to carefully inquire about all hotel policies before booking.

Overpriced. The cable for the TV was analog, so the picture was fuzzy on all channels. I felt that I went back in time to 1985. The shampoo and shower gel containers were empty. The bed cover had stains on it. The microwave had not been cleaned. The floor was warping. Finally, the gravy for the breakfast was cold, and they only had powder creamer for coffee.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and declined the next day's cleaning service due to our late arrival. We contacted the reception twice and visited in person to request housekeeping, and unfortunately, they didn’t provide the service. There were no towels and no room cleaning, which was very difficult since we had our dog with us. As you can imagine, staying in a room with a dog for 4 nights without cleaning was unpleasant. After informing the staff 3-4 times, we went to the reception to inquire about the issue, and the response was that they were concerned the dog would run away. Ironically, we took our dog on a 5-hour hike and requested room cleaning before we left, but it was not done. Upon returning, the room was still not cleaned. If the staff is uncomfortable with dogs, perhaps the hotel should reconsider its pet policy. I found the response to be unprofessional, and the lack of cleaning resulted in us having to dispose of trash elsewhere due to bear concerns, as the hotel did not provide adequate waste management either. And all this sheets had some big ll stain.

They only have 2 fire pits which were always in use. Overall it was a good stay and the trolley stop into the activities in Gatlinburg is right in front of the hotel. It’s also just a half mile to get to the beginning of the activities.

Would NOT recommend! Common areas are dirty with carpets that look like they haven’t been shampooed in the last decade. The same trash was on the floor next to the ice machine our whole visit. The whole place is way more ran down than the pictures would have to think. Like multiple bad patches from the towel rack getting pulled out of the wall. Build up on the bathroom door from people’s hands. Oh and bring your own shampoo and body wash because the dispensers in the shower are purely decorative because they are bone dry ( and no there aren’t small bottles anywhere either) Don’t plan on watching TV during your stay at all because the remote will hardly work. And half the channels will just be the same frozen image your entire stay. AC also would not go below 72. Breakfast is also a no thank you in my book. Eggs were a a puddle of water. Parking was garbage too. We drive a large truck and it was difficult to park in the narrow spaces of the “park garage” and they don’t allow you to park in the easy to park in parking lot. You can 100% find a better option.

Our time here was okay. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The inn needs to work on their extremely dirty hallway floors and dirty balcony floors. The pool and hot tub were closed for the season and then opened and then closed again. Breakfast was okay. The only meat available is sausage and the orange juice machine was continuously out of order or dispensing watery orange juice. This property has a beautiful view from the rooms, with a comfy bed and a beautiful digital fireplace. A few small fixes will make a huge difference.

The location was good and the room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the refrigerator was good sized. The rippling river that runs just outside the terrace was very pleasant. The property needs some maintenance. Hot tub was broken, outside walkways to rooms desperately in need of new paint job and please replace the incredibly old and very chipped narrow bathtubs! Yuk! The doors to the terrace are strangely narrow, flimsy and don't fit the opening well. It would have been nice to have the abundant bird crap cleaned off the pool chairs. The breakfast was so-so. Some single serve half and half would have helped with the weak coffee but there was only French vanilla or powder creamer...2% doesn't count as coffee creamer.

My room was clean. Check in was fine, and the receptionist was pleasant. I didn’t use any amenities as the pool and spa were unavailable at the time. For the price it was fine. Don't expect front desk staff to go out of their way for you: the phone was not answered when I called the front desk and when I asked for a place to print pages I was just told no, I \"just need to look it up baby doll\" (I'm 50 years old). When I asked to mail a postcard I was also told no. Not \"theres a mailbox...\" just no. I've worked in the hospitality industry, and this isn't the response I was trained to give. Cleaning and breakfast staff were outgoing, friendly and pleasant. Despite having loads of laundry one lady asked how my day sightseeing went. I appreciated that. Other people definitely seemed like repeat guests so there's that.

Also, I booked this place for the hot tub n pool, which the hot tub was out of order.

Convenient trolley service outside the hotel to bring to various locations in Gatlinburg. It was free and a great service for visitors. Nice not to get in a car and pay $20 for parking. Loved Gatlinburg x

Our room looked to have been updated not that long ago, however, they forgot the beds because they were super hard and clanky like the frame was old metal....room was clean woth nice linens but the bathroom shower had gunk on the walls and pink mold around the bottom. I had to prchase a bleach cleaner so we felt comfortable showering. We did enjoy the seating by the river in the evening the breakfast had good hot and cold choices. I feel like the management needs to pay closer attention to the details and spruce up the exterior hallways and interior hallways spaces...it was not a bad jumping off point to see the area ...the price was good but we probably wouldnt choose it again.

the housekeeping was not there,apparently all the staff quit the day we got there. we were told that if we wanted clean towels we would have to take the dirty ones to the front desk. same with the garbage. if we wanted to clean we would have to do it ourselves.it took a coupe of days and several trips to the front before we were finally able to sort things out. the inn itself is lovely and the view is scenic. they need to get the housekeeping issues resolved. It's hard to believe the whole staff left of the same day, plus no one bothered to tell us at the time we checked in. all is all a very unsatisfying trip.
