It was our first time in the Smokies. We stayed here for 3 nights with our 9 hear old. The rooms were clean and the staff was great. Location was ideal to get to Pigeon Forge and into the state park quickly. Plus the parking ticket for the other end of gatlinburg was worth it's weight in gold. We'll.definitely be back

Great hotel … has a Trolly pick up that goes into town! It’s at the edge of Gatlinburg so less noise. Great pools and hot tub! Very friendly staff! Breakfast was a very good mix of food! Would most definitely stay again. Only hiccup was the elevator stopped working when trying to check out ..… had to take bags down three flights of stairs. We really enjoyed our stay here !! Recommend for families !

If you’re heading to Gatlinburg, there’s really only one place worth staying: The Appy Lodge. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the entire staff made us feel genuinely cared for. The pool areas were sparkling clean and beautifully maintained, our room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding.
Don’t waste your time staying anywhere else. For us, it’s The Appy Lodge from now on. Highly recommend!

PERFECT location! I didn’t even need my GPS once I saw how close we were to everything! The place was clean and staff very helpful! We could’ve walked to downtown Gatlinburg, but my teenagers weren’t having it lol! I will definitely be adding this hotel as our go-to when in the smokies again.

This was our first stay at The Appy Lodge: 2 nights on our way home from a trip to Orlando. We were very pleased with our stay! The hotel was very clean, rooms were clean and comfy, and staff was friendly and welcoming. They also offered two pools; one indoor and one outdoor with a slide. Although the outdoor pool was on the smaller side, our son LOVED it. The location is perfect as well since it’s located near the end of the Gatlinburg strip, so you don’t get all that crazy traffic and noise. Plenty of easy parking, too. They also offer a free breakfast, but if you’re looking for something more substantial, next door is a very good breakfast restaurant that took us a minute to walk to. There is also a trolley stop which makes getting around town easy as well. We would certainly stay at The Appy Lodge again!

It’s a family friendly hotel. Good location. Mini golf next door is fun. The pools are nice. The room was clean but the shower had a lot of mold. Overall pretty good spot to stay. Breakfast had a few options but basic. The coffee was a 2 out of 5 at best.

This was our first stay at The Appy Lodge and it will not be the last! The lodge is so cute and quaint. The large spacious room has a rustic charm as if you were staying in a cabin but with awesome features. The fireplace was a bonus that adds charm. I love the walk in stone feature shower! Hotel amenities include free breakfast and snacks in the evening, rustic charm of the lobby,outdoor fire pit surrounded by comfy rocking chairs. Also there is an awesome pool with a tall swirling slide that was so fun. The staff was very nice and helpful in explaining the trolley with convenient pickup and drop off at the lodge. This saved us from paying $20 parking fees at parking garage in town. My husband and I loved our stay!!

Place was so welcoming and inviting with a very cozy living room/front desk area. Fun Appalachian/Black Bear (“Appy”) theme all throughout hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful—even got an earring for me that had fallen down the drain. Adirondack chairs out front to enjoy view from. Swimming pool looked super fun with an swirly tube slide and fountain in the middle. Continental Breakfast included but there was also a Flapjacks restaurant next door. Also great about this place is that it’s near to all the crazy fun but also slightly off the beaten track, and, therefore, calmer, more peaceful. Also had a Davy Crockett Mini golf course practically on the property but tucked to the side —not noisy. Rooms well appointed and beds cozy and comfy. Highly recommend for singles, couples or families.

There is only one elevator, so plan accordingly. Even with only one elevator there isn’t a long wait. Still was a great experience and staff was incredible.

This was a great hotel, close to everything but not so close you still feel secluded. Nice trolley picks you up at hotel to take you downtown, for free! This saves so much as it costs for parking downtown. We used the hot tub every night after our long days out exploring. Limited breakfast options but there is a great restaurant just next door.

Everything was wonderful. Very quiet. Organized. Family friendly. Walking distance to the main strip of Gatlinburg. Parking lot was very accessible, well lit, and felt safe. A beautiful place to stay.
The only suggestion I have is maybe put something on the shower floor. It gets very slippery when showering especially when shampooing your hair.

We were excited reading about the reviews of the Appy but it fell short, the shower curtain smelled like mold so bad the whole room reeked of mold and there was a black spots and mildew all over the place. We had to buy Clorox and cleaned the bathroom ourselves. The staff did replace the shower curtain after we asked about it. The bleach smell was an improvement and by day two everything smelt fine. Other than that, the room was large. It was at the very beginning of town which made getting in and out easy but a long walk to the town center. They have a trolley stop there, but it only comes about every 30 minutes. The gym is only had cardio, bike, treadmill, elliptical but nothing else. The breakfast never changes but it was just fine to get your day started. 3 stars is not taking anything off for the mold.

After booking I called and talked with George and explained about mine and my husband health issues and told him what I needed and he was so supportive and not only met our health issues but was very happy to assist and was most pleasant doing so. Most would have been not as friendly. I had to remain on the line for a couple minutes before telling him what I was needing. He was that helpful and assisting to each person he help to check in and the needs as well. I wasn’t able to meet him personally on our stay but each person we did we met Will a smile and was willing to help.

Very friendly staff. They provide free parking voucher which saves you $20 per day parking in downtown. Parking at the hotel is free and breakfast is also free. Breakfast is basic. Rooms were clean. There is a trolley service right at the door step of the hotel which is also very convenient if you don’t want to take your car to downtown.

There is a trolly stop right out front that takes you downtown for free. They come every 15 mins. We used the outdoor pool and little water slide. Fun. No one else was out there. Indoor pool and hot tub were clean and once again we alone using them. Overall it was awesome specially for the cost. Amazing.

Overall my stay was pleasant. I would book again in the future. The Appy Lodge was a great find! The location was perfect for us as we wanted to be close, but not in the middle of the \"busy-ness\" of Gatlinburg. Amenities were great! The pool was heated as advertised and the hot tub was avaliable for use. Breakfast items were plentiful and satisfying. Our room was spacious and clean. Loved the stone shower!! We will definitely stay at the Appy Lodge again.
