Good hotel for the price. The location is excellent, right on the oceanfront. The room includes a kitchen, all the necessary cookware, and comfortable beds. Clean beach towels are always available, and each room is provided with two beach chairs and an umbrella. The pool is warm and clean, and we also enjoyed the hot tub. Complimentary coffee is available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The staff is friendly and helpful. Another nice benefit is the free 2-hour bicycle rental.

The main downside is the housekeeping policy. If you stay for up to 7 days, the room is not cleaned during your stay. Housekeeping is only available for an additional fee or for longer stays. Another minor drawback is that the beach chairs are removed around 5:30 PM, and the pool and hot tub close at approximately 8:30 PM.

We stayed from June 2 to June 9. This is not related to the hotel itself, but travelers visiting during the summer should be aware that there can be a significant amount of seaweed in the ocean, and the weather is often rainy. During our stay, there was a large amount of seaweed both on the beach and in the water, which affected the overall beach experience.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel. It offers good value for the money, especially if you visit during the better season from November through April.

Really nice place to stay. We wished we were there longer with our travel group that includes our older teenagers. The property has a really great set up for longer stays with many amenities such as a pool table, air hockey table, foosball table, & X-box. They have larger backyard BBQ’s guests can use you want to have a family meal together. Private access to the beach a 2-min walk out the back gate. This property is located quite a distance away from the busy nightlife of Miami Beach so it is nice & quiet but your Uber costs will be higher if you plan to head down to the busier area.

The overall charges and the properties amenities cannot add up. You are charged 200 dollars on top of the reservation amount for the stay it’s not worth it. The room is outdated the appliances are old and the overall amenities are lacking to say the least. Also, the elevator needs an Air conditioner. This should be a must in Florida. Also, there’s no room service or a cafe on the premises just vending machines? A small pool occupied the back and there’s no direct access to the beach. This place is a big no. I will never stay here ever again!

We really enjoyed our stay and had prompt service for any problems we had like our air conditioning in the living room, the bedrooms stayed cool. Comfortable beds and great beach service with comfortable lounge chairs. The only difficult time was with the concierge woman who was rude and hurtful with her comments about me not having a significant other and not allowed to participate in the offers I was told prior to staying that I would receive.

Best Customer Service - Ever!

My husband, son and I stayed for 4 nights and above all was really impressed by the excellent customer service extended by the front desk staff and valets. They were very accommodating when dealing with a room issue and sought to make us as comfortable as possible. I can't say enough about the staff - really, really nice experience in today's times when other facility staff can be aloof or abrasive. Kudos to them!!! A couple of comments that would have made my stay perfect - Bluegreen should have informed me as soon as they knew that the roof was being torn off and that construction would be going on. I spoke to representative from Bluegreen two days before my travel and she never told me anything about the roof. However, the day before I traveled I received an email letting me know the pool would be closed because of construction. My other complaint is where balconies connect, Bluegreen should make those balconies no smoking. My family and I don't smoke yet, the couple next to us were chain smokers so we couldn't sit out on our balcony very oftern because of all the smoke. These are my only two complaints about the stay. I would definitely go back to Solara and recommend it to friends.

Rude People! Poor Customer Service! Old mattresses

The only helpful/pleasant people at this hotel were the valets. From the moment we checked in there was problems and bad attitude from the staff. Officially the check in time is 4pm, with a check OUT time of 10am (this leave a 6 hour cleaning window). We had arrived a few hours early and left our bags with the bell desk. The front desk had claimed that our room wasn't ready yet, but they would try to put a rush on it and would call as soon as it was ready. Since we were tired and sticky from our travels we decided to stay close to the hotel so that we could get right back as soon as the room was ready. We never received a call and went back around 3pm. We saw guest after guest check in and go straight to their rooms while we waited in the lobby surrounded by our luggage. Any time we asked for an updated it was the same answer \"I'll let you know as soon as housekeeping is done\".
MY MAIN COMPLAINT: Don't make promises you don't intend on delivering on! If the room wasn't going to be ready until 4pm TELL US THAT! We could have made plans to visit a beach or sight seeing instead of hovering close to the hotel in hopes that we would get a room.

Great condo on the beach.

Surfside is north of Miami Beach but still south of the Bal Harbour. Its about a ten minute cab ride north of the Fontainebleau Hotel and the very excellent Hakkasan Chinese restaurant. It is a condo run like a hotel. They have a very helpful staff. Our room had a bedroom, a kitchen and living room with foldout couch. There is a pool, hot tub, picnic tables with grills and a kids room. We had breakfast in our room one morning and on the picnic tables the next. There is free coffee in the lobby. Food stores are a short drive away. Parking is by valet only for an extra charge. The beach is nice with beach chairs that come with the room but umbrellas extra. Get your beach towels from the front desk. There is a beach front sidewalk that we walked on. One could ride a bike there as well.

Great Hotel, Location, Staff, Facilities but...

We had 2 bedroom unit facing the ocean :) Extremely satisfying ocean view with 2 large balconies. Also, a good size kitchen with dishwasher. We were 8 people and the place was sufficient for may be 10. However, the bummer was 2 bathrooms which was kind of inadequate for 8 people. The hotel was very clean, smelled fresh day or night, has numerous nice facilities including pool, beach towels, beach chairs, outside grilling facilities. However, there were couple of awkward things that the hotel could improve upon: We had to take care of the trash, nobody came to set the bed right in all 4 days that we stayed and although laundry was free, we had to pay for detergent. The unwelcome part was that we were not told about it at check-in although the staff did brief us about all good things that they offered (which was good). Otherwise, it was a great stay. Would have been better had it been slightly cheaper though.

We arrived at the hotel and we where greated by Hilliard the valet who was very friendly and so the same with the reception staff,We where very pleased to see how huge was this ''appartement '' with a full size kitchen huge living room with balcony ,one big walk -inn plus another wardrobe ,2 and half bath and a umungus bedroom with a ''real'' kingsize bed.flat screen tv in bedroom +livingroom.

Absolutely NOTHING around the hotel as in bars and restaurants. Expensive valet and they never had the car ready for us everytime we phoned for it. Overpowering fake flower smell in reception. Room understated and a bit blah.
Pool very small and very deep. But warm enough. Hot tub good.
Great access to the beach.
Overall good price for getting direct access to beach but very restrictive overall.

Great stay!

My only complaint was that the bed was too hard but other than that everything was wonderful. We checked out and stayed the rest of the day and was treated just as wonderfully as when we first checked in. We had 2 adults 2 kids and an infant and can't wait to go again!

Stayed only one night, but did have time to enjoy the beautiful beach and pool.
Parking was surprisingly cheap for Miami Beach (only USD 10) and bus stop for direct service (though very crowded) for both SoBe and Aventura Mall literally right outside the door. Only a 2 dollar ride makes it an easy way to enjoy SoBe.
Rooms were really nice - spacious and tasteful.
Would definitely go back!

Wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel pool and beach. Nice to see barbques also ready to be used by the guest. We got in late and had to catch a cruise the following day. Would have been nice to have had an extra day to enjoy the facilities. Family friendly also.

I was only there for 1 night, and was using it as an alternative to a chain hotel. The Surfside was nice and comfortable, like an inexpensive apartment would be. It is NOT nearly as cool as the photos would leave you to believe though. The rooms were very large, clean and well laid out.

Try and get a room on floor 3 or above, as I was nervous going to sleep with my second floor windows open.

4 days was more than enough

Although the hotel was not what I would consider bad, the quality was just not there. The bathroom was the worst and the water pressure so low that it was almost impossible to get the soap out of my hair. The beach in by the hotel was also not care for, and there was a substantial amount of trash all around. I was there on business, so it was acceptable, but if it were for vacation, I would not recommend it at all. It is approx. a 6 block walk to reach any restaurants or stores. Also, the elevator was not working while I was there, which meant a 6 floor climb to get to your room, which also made going back out for the evening next to impossible. The staff did not inform me the elevator was out of service until after check-in. Not a great experience.

Fantastic service, Super clean and spacious. On the ocean. Chairs and towels provided. Also has a nice clean pool. About a $40 cab ride from the airport and from South Beach. Close to upscale neighborhood with shopping and restaurants you can bus to for $2. Also another area of shopping and restaurants is walking distance too. Hotel staff is very informative and helpful.

My family loved it!

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to relax in Miami! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There is sand volleyball, hammocks, and gas grills with shaded tables. There are sand toys available for children. Each room is allowed three lounge chairs on the beach. We stayed in their smallest room (600 sq ft studio) and it was enough room for 4 adults and 2 children in cribs (2 years old, the other 1 year old). The cribs were provided at no extra charge. The kitchen was tiny, but had everything you need...full size refridgerator, full size oven, dishwasher, table settings for 4 adults, blender, toaster, potatoe peeler, colander, pans and skillet, everything you need to cook homemade meals! They have special activities during the week, such as free cookies two days a week. We got $* for attending a timeshare presentation, and I will warn you...they are good salespeople. You better know what you want, or don't want, before you attend! All in all, we loved our experience and would definitely consider returning!

My husband and I celebrated our 35th anniversary here @ Solara Surfside.We made the right choice! Our room was decorated nicely in the Miami art-deco style,that was very refreshing for us Michiganders. Our condo had a nice ocean-view balcony where we enjoyed playing cards and games.The resort had a nice beach on the ocean.We enjoyed shell hunting early in the morning and the beautiful sunrises.Lounging on the hammocks with a steak on the BBQ grill was great. We took a day trip to Key West.It was nice having a condo to come back to rather than a small hotel room.We paticipated in the resort's BINGO and crafts activities,that was fun.We walked to the nearby park and fruit stand regularly. We rate this resort very high. The staff was GREAT! The price was right and we will definately come back!

メイドサービスが有料でタオルも電話しないと持ってこない。一度チェックインしたらアウトまで一度も掃除ををしない（有料で頼める）その他は特になしキッチンもフルキッチンであり快適に過ごせた。駐車場はバレットのみ１日１４ドルでした、プールは狭いのであまりおススメではない、毎日メッセージが入りチョット迷惑な所もある。

nous avons passé 2 nuits en mars dans cette hotel sympathique sur collins avenue nous avions une chambre qui ne donnait pas sur collins avenue donc nous n'avons pas eu de bruit de route, lit king size tres confortable, cuisine equipé tout le confort pour passer un séjour agréable. serviette de piscine fourni, le canapé lit dans le salon est moins confortable il convient a des enfants en dessous de 15 ans. le parking est payant nous avons payé 28$ pour 2 nuits donc cela reste très correct, hotel a recommander
