Do not stay here the pictures do not show what the true conditions are. This hotel should not be open. For what Miami beach represents this is not it. The bathroom was dirty. All the did was paint the entire room bathroom and tub with white paint. It was gross.

Didn’t love the pool, but being right on the beach it doesn’t matter! There was also construction going on, so we had to walk through the parking lot to get to the beach, which also isn’t a big issue. The biggest thing is that the property is old, and with that the elevator takes forever. Beautiful area though, and for the price, it was amazing.

This hotel should not be listed on Hotels.com. It’s on a block that has a vacant lot on one side and boarded up properties on the other. The upkeep of this property indicates it may be ready for demolition tomorrow. The carpet on the stairs and in the hallway looks like it was installed 50 years ago and last cleaned 45 years ago. The elevator was not working. We should have found somewhere else to stay but we were leaving on our cruise early the next morning.
It’s rating should be less than 1.

The rooms did not look as nice as the pictures. The $20 resort fee doesn’t make sense as it is not a resort, and does not have any amenities that reflect such. There was hair and dirt everywhere when we entered the room. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. The only positive was the front desk attendant was friendly.

Worst trip EVER!! I travel a lot and was EXTREMELY disappointed! Had to switch rooms. 3 times. 1st room the curtains didn’t cover the windows the second room had no hot water the 3 room had no sheets or blankets until asked for and the outlets didn’t work AND all 3 rooms the TV didn’t work !!! I wanted to come home immediately

The room hasnt been updated since maybe the 70s? I paid around $330 for something that is far worse then any motel 6 i have ever stayed in. It looks.like they sprayed spray paint over everything. This place is super dirty, unkempt, and old fashioned. The elevator is terribly slow and the entire experience was not a pleasant one. The ice machine did not look sanitary at all and was held together by a bucket on the floor. Carpets are a disaster and the electrical outlets are few and scarce and not safe at all. The TV did not work . This for the price charged was a scam. The pool was also filthy.

While the staff was very kind and hospitable to be honest the place is a dumb. Rust in the shower. Dust and dirt everywhere. The pictures online are very deceptive. Had to go buy new sheets for the bed because my date didn’t want to even sleep in the bed.

Again the room was neglected for cleaning there was yellow stains on the toilet also towels had blood on them sheets smelled like sweat and when I called and reported they had “no record” of me calling or speaking to the night attendant. Expedia did not help out I had to get a secondary room down the street room also smelled like smoke and manager was very rude made us feel very unwelcome.

The staff was beyond great and I almost feel bad for them that they have to try to sell that dump. The owners should be embarrassed about the state that the hotel is in. The rooms look like a motel from the 80s and there it no hiding about the fact that its supposes to be a art deco style hotel. Mold on the wicker table, cut off tiles in the bathroom. The tile that was painted over is now loosing its paint. Great location but obvious the owner stopped investing momey in it.

Our room was filthy. There was a window that led to the outside that was located inside the bathroom. It had no curtain to block the view from the outside. There was mold in the window. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. We checked out within three hours and they refused a refund. The room pictures do not represent the rooms at all. Beware.

The room was not bad however when we took a shower, the water would not drain. Supposedly the maintenance came and they said they fixed it never fixed it… the elevator was really really slow so we had to take the steps. There was no microwave in the room.. the building itself smell like an old rehab rehabilitation housing facility. The only thing great about the place was it was right in front of the beach, but there was construction all the way around it so you have to walk all the way around the gate.. every day we had to request for towels and we also have to get our key cards re-magnetized. We also have to pay for parking which was 25 bucks a day… I definitely would not visit that place again.

Employees were great very nice and helpful. Now let’s get down to the hotel. Terrible only stay there if there is absolutely no where else to stay. Tubs were painted we didn’t use it because all the paint chips were in the tub. TVs three channels if u were lucky. Place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Location perfect. There was garbage in the pool. Our first room the tv didn’t work at all so they relocated us to another room and about 10:45 pm while we were dead asleep we heard someone banging on the door and before we could get up they were already opening the door luckly we had the lock across the door so they could only open it so far but still so scary!! There are no phones in the room so we couldn’t call down to the front desk and we were too scared to leave our room so we waited until the morning to report it!! They were not sure what happened maybe gave someone our room key by accident!!

Hotel is ran down, torn carpet in hallways, dirty walls, barely had hot water for shower, bedding smelled bad, decorative pillows dirty had not be cleaned in a long time, stains on bedding. Tv didn’t have 1 clear watchable channel. Construction was happening around the building was not notified of that issue. Hotel is very old picture are deceiving.

The only thing nice about the place was the hotel lobby and its location. Elevator very out of date, felt more safe taking the stairs, room was clean, however , not well maintained. Holes in the wall and was only repaired with some paint over it. Bathtub didn’t drain properly, same for the sink. Beds were uncomfortable, AC was loud but worked for the most part.

What stood out the most is it’s an original hotel from the 1940’s. I cherish that. Elevator was very slow but its 60 plus years old. Admire the authenticity of this hotel. Key cards for the room are my ONLY complaint. Should be keys not cards. Staff is absolutely amazing. Right on the beach! Book it. You won’t be disappointed unless you want 5 star 2026. Thank you for everything broadmore!!!

After stressful airline issues due to cancellations and delays, it was great having someone like Ritchie assist us with our last minute reservation. When I arrived, I was told that there were no available rooms even though I had a reservation via Expedia. I was told the hotel was overbooked, and was not allowed to check in or get a room. This was after being delayed at the airport all day and an uber. Do not book this hotel through a 3rd party, they are incompetent.

There was water all over the floor, one of the beds was wet and there was multiple long black hairs on the clean towels. The pictures of the property are very deceiving. There is construction everywhere and the whole hotel is in horrible disarray. This is literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. We checked out and left it was so gross.

Room was disgusting, windows were glued in plexiglass that the wind constantly pushed in and out making loud noises. Charged an amenity but could not use pool or the beach chairs. Pool was not usable due to neglect. Loyd neighbors all night. Cool view if the windows were glass and/or cleaned, but not worth this horrible hotel experience.

The first room wasn't cleaned floor dirty. Room was by a stairwell in which the door didn't close and the staircase doesn't go inside hotel but completely outside. Security concern. Second room blinds broken so that the outside people can see you in the bathroom. You pull the blinds down and they are missing sutter pieces. The towel rack missing. Toliet seat had wear someone just had ash mark burns on Toliet seat. Hardly no lighting I was charged 235.00 for this room. Plus they wanted another 20.00 for the hotel and a deposit of 100.00 for incidentals which is crazy they hotel is in need of a make over they should be giving me money back. And the elevator so slow you just take the stairs. Hotel indicated it is up to Expedia to give me a refund of some kind.

Very inaccessible because of very old construction fences. Uber and delivery services even had a hard time finding the front desk. Very run-down conditions. Photos provided on booking site totally deceiving. Elevator is almost inoperable. Had to use stairs and I was on 5th floor. One tiny microwave available to entire facility down in the basement.

I will start with the positive. The location is perfect. Right across from the beach, although there was construction and had to go around. The neighborhood is adorable with some shopping and dining. The staff was so nice and helpful. The lobby is really cute and decorated nicely. Now for the room. The only positive I can say is the blacony view is worth thr extra fee. The room is dingy. It needs a paint job really badly. There was streaks running down the walls, something hanging from the bathroom ceiling looks like a wire covered in mold. The bathroom floor tile is in bad need of a full scrub. Trying to find some where to plug in your phones was a challenge. The one we did use was cracked it worked but was not in a convenient spot. No place to charge phones near the bed. The outlet in the bathroom didnt work at all, so if I need to fix my hair or blowdry it. I didnt have an outlet near a mirror. This hotel has so much potential, but it needs alot of maintenance. At this point its somewhat past cosmetic issues. The beach and the people were lovely.

Location! Location! Location! Perfect. The lobby was nice. Check-in/ check-out was smooth. I will say that the room needed a LOT of TLC and the towels gave sandpaper serious competition. I was on the 2nd floor so the elevator wasn't an issue for us oer se ... HOWEVER it was super slow; definitely something to consider if you stay there on a higher floor. The fact that they only perform room service every 3 days could be an issue for some.

Whist the staff are very friendly and the beach location is superb. The rooms are not as pictured. The hotel is very outdated and needs a revamp.
The little patio restaurant has delicious tacos at a reasonable price.
The confirmation email does say that there is construction outside but this should be advised prior to committing to the booking.

The property was noted as under construction however, there was no obvious work being done. We were on the fifth floor and the elevator was virtually not working and scary when it worked. No room service offered at all. Was told additional request to room would be serviced within 24 hours. No phone in rooms to call and request anything, if needed. Stayed 4 days and was told would have maid service on day 3, that did not happen. We had 2 towels, wash cloths, etc - for entire stay in a double queen booked room.
Ice machine is a 2 person job (but staff is aware and made it comical and did help).
Rooms were scarce with no drawers but sufficient closet space. Bathrooms was very very tiny. Lighting was very poor in room. Internet seems to shut off almost nightly around 9pm.
Staff was friendly and was aware of the “conditions” and did make it a more light hearted situation, which made it easier (thank you).
Onsite restaurant was good and had daily happy hour(s).
Staff was friendly and tried to mitigate the environment as much as possible.
Overall, other than the location, the hotel with sub par and we probably will not stay there again which is unfortunate because we make an annual trip to Miami.

First, we couldn’t find the hotel called up the gentleman who answered the phone was extremely rude. Got there. The elevator took 15 minutes to go from floor six to floor. One had four channels on our TV and they were all snowy got locked out of a room for one hour and 20 minutes and no one helped but my husband Went down in the morning to explain what happened and we got a $20 resort fee credit horrible horrible horrible hotel
