Room was dirty! Floor was filthy I couldn't even walk to the bathroom with out my shoes. Husband complained to front desk, he was told all housekeeper were gone. Did not offer anything as a solution! Husband asked for a mop and extra towels, never received either! The pictures look good , don't let that fool you! No control on air conditioner- it was on full blast or I had to turn it completely off. it was very loud, hard to sleep with it on! Restaurant bathrooms disgusting! The elevator had a crack in the middle of the floor and it felt like it could give way any second!I Expected alot better for this price!

While planning my trip to Miami, I was excited to stay at Palm Tree Club Hotel. The vibrant atmosphere, exterior design, and waterfront restaurant initially attracted me. A hotel staff member told me check-in was at 4 PM. Since I had an early flight, I asked about checking in around 1 PM and was told I could come early to see if a room was available, otherwise they could hold my luggage, which I understood.

I arrived around 2 PM and was told to come back at 4 PM. The lobby looked newly renovated and smelled clean. My partner and I waited at the restaurant, which wasn’t busy. Service was normal, the waterfront view was beautiful and relaxing, and the food was decent. The menu options were $20-$40.

When we returned to check in at 4 PM, we waited in line about 15 minutes only to be told to come back again in 20 minutes. We didn’t receive our keys until after 4:30 PM.

The room appeared clean, nice, and spacious. However, it was very humid throughout our stay. Towels and bathing suits never fully dried, and the room often felt muggy.

Overall, it was a decent stay. If you’re traveling on a budget, this boutique hotel could work. However, if you’re looking for a more luxury experience, it may not meet your expectations. Reviews mentioning slow service and structural maintenance issues are accurate, so keep that in mind if you choose to stay here.

Stayed for 3 nights prior to a cruise. Would have been ok for a 1 night stay. Restaurant closed early when we arrived (8pm because they were so slow all night they said) so we had to have food delivered. Lots of construction in the area due to growing area so I hope the building does some major upgrades and repairs. Elevator inspection outdated and not in the best operational condition. Our room was not the cleanest. Nightstand was dusty and sticky. Overall in need of a major deep clean.

Before booking, I confirmed that the hotel offered complimentary luggage storage, which is also clearly advertised on both Expedia and their own website. I even called two weeks prior to my stay to verify this, as I had festival tickets and needed to store my bag before check-in. When I arrived around noon, I was told by the red-haired front desk agent that there was no space and \"nothing she could do.\" There was even a room visible off to the side of the lobby, yet I was refused any accommodation.

Because the festival does not allow luggage, I was forced to forfeit my plans entirely. I lost about $200 in tickets and $50 on an Uber from the airport to the hotel. What was supposed to be a fun Sunday turned into a logistical nightmare. The only thing they offered was waiving the resort fee -- which does not come close to covering the financial loss or inconvenience caused.

I emailed management afterward asking, at the very least, for some dining credit to help offset the situation. They never responded until the day we had to leave and just offered late checkout.

Beyond that issue, there were several other problems:

* The lobby smells strongly of mold the moment you walk in. It's overpowering and gives a terrible first impression.

* We paid extra for a suite with a jacuzzi and it did not work.

* The outdoor chair cushions were old, worn, and uncomfortable.

* The listing shows bathrobes as part of the suite amenities -- there were none in the room.

I loved my view from my room and the pool area was very cute and clean, HOWEVER, having to carry all my luggage 4 flights of stairs without any help (i was told no help/ staff was available to help bring it up) was pretty disappointing and frustrating. After reading reviews from past travelers it seems the ELEVATOR HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR A WHILE AND NOT A FEW DAYS. The AC worked good in our room. Second issue, was the construction happening next door, you could feel the whole room vibrating and the noise was just awful and to work from my hotel room was pretty bad.
The property didn’t feel pet friendly since there isnt really an area for pets to do their needs other than the front grass but the staff was very friendly to my service dog. The person that checked us in was super sweet and friendly.
I liked I could drive to great food spots only a few minutes away.
I would stay here again but this issue with the elevator is unacceptable and hope this gets fixed because it wasnt a cheap stay either.

We booked 2 rooms as we were travelling with our 6 children. We arrived onsite and the hotel had police parked all out front... it literally looked like an active crime scene! We reluctantly went to check-in and learned they host wild parties every weekend, hence why all the police. They gave us 2 rooms on opposite ends of the hotel... we explained we werent comfortable being that far away from our children, but they didnt care. Rooms were in mediocre condition, could definitely use some tlc. While settling in, we noticed the pull out sofas didnt have sheets or pillows (our booking for for 5 people in each room). We contacted the front desk, and they said they didnt have anymore sheets or pillows. It was too late to find another accommodation at this point, so we ended up laying bath towels down and sharing a pillow from another bed. Absolutely ridiculous... and one of the most absurd experiences we have ever had at a hotel! Would not recommend this hotel at all, and we will never return. Poorly run, not at all as advertised, unsafe, rude staff, and way overpriced.

It was awful. They didn’t tell you the elevator was out of order. Our room was on the fifth floor and was to have a balcony. We did not have a balcony, had to carry our luggage up and down five flights of stairs. The hotel is run down, in need of updating.

They are building another condo complex next door, you heard the construction starting at 6 am. This also was not mentioned by the hotel.

Worst check in experience I have ever had. I got there at four and there were no rooms available as they were still being cleaned. I had to wait in a long line several times to keep checking to see if amy opened up. After a few hours we finally got our room keys on our way to the room. The elevator didn’t work so we had to carry our huge suitcases up three flights of stairs. Then when we got to our room, it wasn’t very clean at all, and there was a huge loogie in our sink.

Came to check in at 3:50 for 4PM \"check-in\" at which time the room was not ready and was told it would be about 20 minutes. We came back an hour later and the room was still not ready and then were informed that the room we booked (king) was not even available. The room we did get was still dirty in the bathroom upon arrival. Elevators don't work. There was absolutely nothing in the room other than an empty mini fridge but were charged $20 for a 1L \"Fiji water\" bottle and \"mini bar tip/tax\". Upon check in or check out, no one informed us of any charges regarding this until after the card was charged (meaning no receipt was provided until I had to call myself to ask why I was charged incorrectly). No one in management responded to resolve the issue. This place should be classified as a motel not a hotel.

This is an odd place. I don't recommend it. Bring earplugs and be prepared to question your safety.

Road construction crew began right outside our door around 10:30 pm and went through the night. Thankful for earplugs. But ridiculous to not be informed when making reservations.

Called hotel with a check-in question on the way, around 4:45 PM, no answer. Ever.

Room and property were clean. However, room was not stocked for 2 guests: 3 towels, one hand towel, one washcloth. Front counter refused our simple request at 8:15 PM for exta washcloth and hand towel as \"housekeeping was done for the night\".

No coffee in the room. Coffee available downstairs for a fee. $8 bottles of water available in the room.

Two way traffic on their one-car width driveway with a blind sharp corner - no safety mirror or way to see what's coming at you as you enter and exit.

Elevator tile floor is cracked and sinks when stepped on. Elevator door doesnt open on its own - sign instructs you to push button to exit.

Something fishy about a hotel with enough capital funding to make it look good on the surface, but can't afford.to fix its elevator door or floor, provide front desk with a stack of extra housekeeping items for guests in the evening, or offer a complimentary cup of coffee.

Wish I'd read the Google reviews before booking through Hotel.com.

The elevators at this establishment were not in operation for guests. We were not informed by expedia or the hotel about this ahead of our arrival. We definitelywould have changed the hotel if we had known because we are a party of 4 and each had a 40lbs+ luggage plus carry-ons etc. Additionally they put us in the second building on the 5th floor (the top floor). They did send someone to help us once we brought it to their attention. However, when we checked out they sent someone but they only would take the bigger bags we had. We had to carry our carry ons and other items down 5 flights of stairs with a young child. When we tried speaking to front desk when we wanted some kind of refund for this experience, they said that they could help us find somewhere else to stay if we wanted to leave. While we wanted to leave of course it wasn't realistic given the late notice and challeneges of moving a family of four to a completely different hotel, so that comment really seemed to be coming from a snarky place. With all that being said, the room itself was clean enough and the pool was nice. Another factor to consider about this hotel is that there is apparently a big party and this hotel every weekend. I think this might contribute to why it's pretty affordable. The parking lot gets crazy as there are police and security yelling and trying to sort out people going to the party vs going to the hotel. Also, there are a lot of people right outside the pool area trying to get in.

Clean, cute, and honestly a great value for the price. The bed was comfortable, and even though there’s loud construction on the other side of the building, we really didn’t hear it in the room.

on-site restaurant is a vibe—pretty epic DJ parties on weekends, then very quiet during the week. Hospitality overall was good, and Daniel at the bar was wonderful.

A few notes:
parking is free and included, which felt like a nice built-in courtesy (especially with what I’m about to say). Front desk service was meh—not bad, just not elevated. The main issue is we weren’t told ahead of time the elevator is out, so it turned into a 5th-floor walk-up with luggage. They need a Bell Hop. We would have greatly appreciated an offer of help getting our bags to the room considering the elevator isn’t working.

Location is excellent—quiet area, walkable to a liquor store / dive bar open late, a late-night smash burger truck, convenience market, and you’re right on the water and about 10 minute drive from the beach. Overall, I’d absolutely stay again for the value and location—just be prepared for stairs unless the elevator is fixed.

We were sleeping in a hazardous environment for four nights. This room should not be provided to guests until it has been treated for mold. I strongly advise against staying here.

The room was very nice. It was clean. When we arrived it was cold outside and needed to turn the heat on a little bit, but it did not work. There was no microwave or coffee maker. They sold coffee out of a machine in the main lobby for 2.50 a cup. The pool was great (not heated). There were a few places nearby to get groceries or restaurant within walking distance(the on site restaurant was closed and does not seem to be any activity in starting it back up). The staff was super friendly. It also had a nice view of the bay. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Not their fault Miami was cold, but no functioning heat in the building made for 2 nights at 58 degrees in the room. They gave us multiple blankets and refunded the resort fee. Also, loud club next door, so loud music late into the evening. Challenging parking when the club is open and elevator needs repairs. Dated rooms and bathroom was small with a bathtub that had an unstable floor.

I booked this hotel for one night before our cruise to celebrate my birthday. I reserved a Deluxe King Room with Balcony and Bay Front View, but at check in we were told the room was on the 4th floor and the elevator has been out of service for weeks. The only option offered was a downgrade to a smaller room with a much worse view.

Upon viewing both of the rooms we found the original room was beautiful with an amazing bay view, but it wasn’t realistic to carry luggage up four flights of stairs. The downgraded room was small, had an odd smell, the thermostat wouldn’t work (it was freezing all night), and the “view” was basically an obstructed parking lot.

Staff admitted the missing elevator part has been on back order for weeks, meaning they likely knew this issue in advance. The front desk representative (Walter) was smug and unapologetic, and the hotel did not cooperate when my agent attempted to contact them regarding a refund for the downgrade.

I would not recommend booking here unless you confirm the elevator is working.

It's really a shame. This place could be so much better. It's at a great location, but the motel is falling apart. Leaky faucets, toilet seat was not bolted to the toilet. Bubbling paint behind toilet shows there were leaks behind wall. I saw tons of mold on the roofing. Generally the place is in disrrepair and appear to have not been kept up with in years. Side note: no coffee in the room. Instead you have to go down to the lobby to a coffee dispensing machine and pay $2.50 for a tiny cup of coffee. Luckily was only there for a couple nights, but any longer i would've switched hotels.

I was shocked when I first entered this hotel. The hotel was really dirty. The staff are terrible and liars. I stayed for 3 days and the phone in the room wasnt working and the AC was making a loud noise. I notified their staff and they told me they will fix it but during my 3 day stay no one came to fix it. I always book my hotels through expedia and this hotel was the equivalent of a catfish, the pictures did not look like the hotel at all! I am disappointed that expedia has such filthy hotels on their website. They even charged me $69 for their \"resort\" but it was a below average pool and gym. To add to all of this there were insects in the room! I even have pictures. I would have changed hotels but did not find an available one in such short notice but those 3 days I spent were probably the worst stay I have ever experienced.

They did offer to give me a ground floor room, but it was a down grade from what I paid for and no view. This place is a scam and a safety hazard

I checked in during a cold weather advisory in Florida (temperatures dropping to 40°F/6°C). My room had NO WORKING HEATING. The HVAC unit was broken and blowing cold air.

When I reported this to the front desk:

-They had no portable heaters.
-They offered no alternative room with heat.
-They showed zero concern for my safety in a freezing room.

I was forced to leave immediately and book another hotel just to have a safe, habitable place to sleep.
The worst part is the management's unethical behavior. Since I booked via a third party (Expedia), the hotel refused to authorize a refund despite NOT providing the service I paid for. They even ignored repeated calls from Expedia's support team to resolve the issue.
They essentially took my money for a room that was uninhabitable. Do not risk your vacation or your wallet here. There are plenty of honest hotels in Miami; this is not one of them.

Can not beat this sweet little hotel on the bay for the price! Spent 2 nights at Sagamore and paid over $1800 when all said and done. Decided to save a few bucks and wish I would have stayed here the entire time! Pretty views of the bay, sweet little pool and outdoor lounge area, clean room, updated lobby. So it's not a 5 star hotel but it was in a great location, felt like a throw back in time and every bit as comfortable as the expensive hotel with rude people!! Nice staff too!!

The hotel was a little tired looking and the room was not fully clean when we arrived with hair in the bathroom and dust under the bed. At the time of the visit the bar / restaurant on site was closed for refurbishment and there are not a lot of options around the site for food and drink. Overall the hotel was adequate for our needs and the room was comfortable with a great comfy bed. Car park on site was good and the location was good for visiting both Miami and Miami Beach if you have a car.

Checked out before time…the hotel was dirty and the bed was lopsided on one side and the elevator was broken I had to carry me and my wife bags up 3 flights of stairs…room was dirty…dirt on the floor in the room…the curtains was dirty in the room…overall the hotel was not what I saw on Expedia…NOTHING AT ALL

The elevator wasn’t working at all. When we requested to change rooms they said they were sold out and didn't accommodate. The parking situation was not ideal either as part of the hotel had reserve parking only for the event and I told them I was a guess at the hotel. In addition, the shower needed maintenance.

— which makes no sense unless you expect guests to shower once a day and reuse towels. There was no extra toilet paper, no napkins, no bathroom ventilation, no “Do Not Disturb” sign, and only one tiny 10 ml bottle of body shampoo for 4 days.
I’ve been to Miami many times, and this was by far my worst hotel experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I genuinely don’t understand how it is advertised as a 3-star hotel.
Very disappointed.

Room did not look like the photos and since it was cold tried turning on the fan to heat and did not work. It was late and I didn't want to switch rooms so I had to sleep with a full sweatsuit and was still cold.

Also was traveling solo and was looking forward to eating at the restaurant on site which seemed easier than going somewhere by myself and apparently it was closed (on a Tuesday) but no mention if it was because of the day or closed in general.

It's run down and for the price it's not worth it.

Everything about my stay was terrible. Construction all night, no microwave, phone didnt have a cord, front desk did not answer when called to say remote did not work, clock did not work, one washcloth, restaurant closed, no beachfront view, rude front desk people. If I could, Id ask for my money back.

Elevators were not working the whole stay, walked up 5 floors. Restaurant also closed although website and social media make it appear as if it’s open. Only good thing was that the view from the bay front room was accurate.

Door looked like it had been kicked in. Had one tv channel. Ceilings looked like they could fall in very run down. Noise horrible you could hear everyone and everything all hours. Booked a 4 days only stay 1 and of course no refund

El ascensor era de terror, viejo, roto el piso, terrible. El dia que hicieron limpieza (hacen cada 3 dias) no barrieron ni limpiaron el piso, todo estaba super sucio. La llave nunca fincionaba, los 4 dias q estuvimos tuvimos que bajar a recepcion porque se desconfiguraba y no abria. Lo único rescatable fue la cama.

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever had. The room was handed to us in an unclean state — the floors were sticky, covered in visible black dirt, and it was very clear that no vacuuming or proper cleaning had been done before our arrival. We reported these issues in person to the front desk on the very first day, but despite multiple follow-ups every day of our stay, nothing was done to fix it.
Our infant developed rashes on her legs from the dirty floor, making this situation not just unpleasant but a genuine health hazard. The staff repeatedly claimed cleaning “is not their department” and only responded after I sent a formal email to management days later. By then, the damage was done — our four-day stay was completely ruined.
Even the “apology” from management came too late and felt like damage control rather than accountability. No family should have to go through such conditions, especially when paying premium rates expecting comfort and cleanliness. We checked out early just to get our family somewhere hygienic after four sleepless nights.
I would strongly warn others to reconsider before booking here — cleanliness, professionalism, and guest care are severely lacking.
