A picture can tell a thousand lies. The staff were cold and non committal. The room was worn and had an odour. I paid extra for a balcony and had a view of a parking lot and a dumpster(skip). Definitely not worth the money. I also had to pay £15 for the parking. There are far better options in York

On arrival, we were told the car park was full, The nearest car park was over half a mile away and cost £25 overnight. not impressed by that, the wife was struggling with her asthma. Lovely staff who were very helpful. There was a free coffee machine for use by reception which was a nice touch. The room was clean and spacious, however I wasnt keen on the location - we had a ground floor room that had large patio style windows which was right by the back entrance. I felt very self concious about the steady stream of people walking by and felt I had to keep the curtains closed. The fire alarm also randomly went off one morning. Lastly, the TV had the screen saver image burned into the screen, which could be seen while watching other channels, not a huge problem but irritating once you notice it. I will re state though that the staff couldnt have been more helpful.

We had problems with the heating during our stay.

On arrival we were told that due to the river flooding we could not park at the hotel I believe this should have been passed on prior to our arrival instead of on arrival.

Room was a great layout with bed upstairs. Plenty of space and everything you need for a great stay. There were some signs of needing a bit of a spruce up (chipped damaged paint, marks here and there) and some of it felt a bit cheap. Awful view from the balcony so wish we'd paid for the view of the river! Staff were lovely and attentive. Location is great if you want to be close enough to everything but still have that quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

Very nice and clean room. Shower floor was a bit grubby but overall very clean. Spare bed which is a pull out sofa bed was rather uncomfortable but the main bed was very comfortable. Be aware that there is a rather large caravan park right next door but it did not impact us as it was fairly quiet.

Lovely, well-equipped apartment with plenty of space for two people. Super clean, really comfy bed. Love the complimentary coffees/crossaint breakfast offering and the on-site shop is relatively priced.

Only downside was the air con was abysmal... Both our friends who stayed on the same floor and us had highly ineffective a/c - lowest temp, highest fan speed and it did nothing. Thankful for the balcony so we could sleep with the balcony door open!

That being said, we'd come back again - perhaps maybe in the winter months!

Amazing Hotel

This hotel was lovely! Have everything you need and it’s super quiet!
Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was ready 4 hours early so we were able to check straight in. Really handy as they have lockers you can leave your stuff in to go back and collect after you’ve checked out, saves you having to carry big bags and cases around York with you. We will definitely be back. Perfect location to, only a 10 minute walk to York city centre.

Great accommodation with everything you could possibly want. Lovely decor, really comfortable bed, good wi-fi and great location. Free hot drinks and croissants each morning were a great idea and welcome bonus. Lockers for early arrival or late leaving, also a brilliant additional bonus. Quick check-in and no check out per se. The room was clean and comfortable, the only issue was the noise from the apartment above, which kept me awake but thankfully not the kids. Make sure your bottle opener isn’t broken.

Nice room. Use of tv a bit over complicated. Hard floors mean that you can hear movement from upstairs and make sure your bottle opener is not broken. But overall we were pleased with the room and enjoyed our stay.

Great room with a view of the river! The only thing is that there is no soundproofing between floors and the person(s) above me stomped everywhere. I think Frankenstein's monster was above me. That's not the hotel's fault. Some people just stomp for some reason I will never understand. Just beware that if you sleep lightly, and you gave a person above you that doesn't understand how to use their knees and ankles, you will not sleep unless they are... Again, not the fault of the hotel. The hotel and staff where great. It was clean, modern, comfortable, and easy to get to.

Thanks for a great stay!
Very comfortable bed, great shower, nice quiet, pretty location within a short walk of the city centre.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great having the option of free access to tea and coffee anytime in the foyer as well as complementary croissants in the morning.
The kitchenette area in the room was very useful too.
Another BIG plus was being able to store our bags in a locker for no extra charge after checkout. This enabled us to explore the city the following day without having the trouble of booking locker storage elsewhere.
We only stayed one night but wished we had booked for longer. I would definitely return to this accommodation if I’m ever visiting York again.
Only one slight negative - the advertised price dropped marginally after our confirmed booking.
However, we thought this aparthotel was good value for money. If you’re trying to decide - don’t hesitate, just book it. I highly recommend this accommodation.
