Convenient apartment for Eurostar Terminal

Very convenient for the Eurostar terminal. This area of Brussels is not the greatest but triple security getting into the block made it feel secure. Room was nice and convenient and could accommodate more than just the 2 of us. Very friendly welcome and as it is an apartment we worried a bit about an esrly checkout but it wasnt a problem. We really used it for a short stopover and an early start so didnt use all the facilities. Would come back again.

The owner is very nice. The room is so clean and big and we did not expect that we have kitchenette and of course the beautiful view we have when looking at the window. We will definitely go back again and recommend to our friends. And the best thing, so close to brussels midi/zuid train station.

The property was spacious, although being so close to the train station made it feel somewhat unsafe with some questionable characters approaching us outside the station. We had to be buzzed into the building to get to reception, and really had no idea where to go, until someone spoke to us in the stairs, so we followed the sound if the voice. The one key for our room also let us in to 2 doors to get there, so makes one question whether our room key was unique or not. Anyway, very friendly staff and we had a great sleep.

The good: Hotel staff was very helpful (they called and arranged taxis), the unit had ample space and clean. Be prepared to speak French, Spanish, or possibly German with the staff (otherwise use Google translate). Security within the hotel/unit is very good.

The bad: Stepping out of Midi station, the surrounding area is extremely sketchy. I did not feel safe walking around the Midi area and almost preferred to take a taxi directly from the hotel to Central station area or airport. If you are a tourist recommend staying closer to Bruxelles-Central or Manneken Pis area to enjoy the historic area.
Brussels charges a tourist tax, for 2 people it was ~$45Euro.

Tip: Taxi fare from Brussels airport to this hotel = $42Euro or you can use Uber (fare fluctuates based off time of day). We used the bus from airport + metro for our initial arrival.

The apartment was very good, very comfortable for 5 adults. The area was not the best one, walking to the apartment late at night we had to look over our shoulders constantly. Saturday morning we were woken up with a very loud noise of someone using a VAP right outside our window, and for a quite long period of time. It was after 8am, but we didn't expect that much noise on a Saturday morning.

We were here for 1 night arriving during the air traffic control issue and this was a stop over for Eurostar. So limited exposure.

The room we had was fine, it was clean but is well worn, you can see it in everything. Bed was comfy and for the few hours we were there it was fine, i wouldn't want to stay for any longer.

The real downside is the local area it is horrific and i don't think that even does it justice. I'm not one to feel intimidated but this is bad gangs of men/youths hanging around, drug taking and selling in open view. If you remember Kings Cross London 25 years ago this area is worse than that.

I cannot stress enough that hotel for a few hours may be fine but i wouldn't stay past that. I even considered just finding another place anywhere else but we had been travelling for 3 days. We left really early and sat in the station, which is 5min walk away as i felt safer in a station with at least security or police around.

Charged extra at check-in for a third person (child), promised not to charge for late check-in over email, but then asked for more money on top at check-in and the after check-out took it out of my card without my permission. The wrong room was provided, hotel rep left us with the wrong key so we couldn't leave the hotel that evening. Bed sheets seemed washed but had hair on them. No soap to wash hands with in the toilet. Just a horrible experience...

I'd read the reviews before selecting Bara Midi, and was in two minds about it, however we were arriving in a rental car, and departing on the Eurostar, so the location made sense.

I'd also looked at hotels in the area, and while prices were similar I was shooting for more space than a hotel room offered.

On arrival in the area the streets were covered in litter - more specifically cardboard boxes - and it was certainly looking a little dingy and rough as others had said. As it turned out it was 'cardboard recycling night', so the next morning all the rubbish had disappeared.

By walking to the plaza(about 100m), from which you can see Gare Midi, the neighbourhood feels completely different! There is a huge and glamourous Pullman beside the train station, and the shops, bars and restaurants around the big roundabout are lovely.

However, there was a street fight outside our window on the first night, between 4 men. at least the hotel has two secure doors before even reaching any of the apartments.

I wouldn't stay here again because our particular room was very small and I could have got an equivalent sized room of higher quality at the Pullman.

The lift fits a couple of suitcases and one person, and the stairwell is tiny and tight.

Having said that, I've read that there are larger more spacious rooms here.

Their check-in hours show on the site as up to 10pm, but the receptionist was chasing us by phone and messaging, from 7pm.

Not bad, but there are comprises.

The elevator was broken and give the narrow and winding staircase going to the fourth floor was an adventure. That being said the apartment was beautiful. Given the level of security and the look of the neighborhood it is not the best part of town. Yet, once inside it is safe. It’s location to the train is excellent as well.

Negative:
* the area is not only noisy at night but also rough and unclean
* 15 Euros extra charge for check-in between 10-12 pm
* Towels looked very old and were ripped from sides
* We paid in total nearly £100 for staying of what the receptionist called it \"a residence not a hotel\" we could have stayed in a proper hotel for a little bit more even if it’s far from the station
* Staying in First floor studio flat had far too many issues: * the reception is very close to the flat, no air-condition, we just left the fan on and felt unsafe to leave windows open so imagine how hot it gets at night (we were scared to leave the window open someone can jump plus the noise was unbearable)
Finally, I really wish if we have listened to other travellers and yes the receptionist has an attitude, he has told us that he had to wait for us until 10:30 then 5 mins later he said he was waiting for someone else, he said we should keep the kitchen clean WHAT A JOKE.

The property had many positive items in its favour. The location to the Bara Midi train station was very good and allowed us to walk from and to the station with our luggage. It had a well equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom; it was bright, spacious relatively quiet. The balconies were an added bonus. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although all toilet paper had to be placed in a separate receptacle and not flushed down the toilet itself (it being understood that the plumbing in this older building had its limitations) our receptacle was not emptied in the two days that we stayed. This should be addressed. Otherwise good value for money.

Location was close to Midi station so was well positioned for few minutes walk to the Flibco shuttle bus stop for Charleroi airport. Apartments felt secure - code lock outer door then key fob inner door before going upstairs to apartment. Good price - had checked out other places in area and this gave a lot more than any similarly priced.

Picked this because it was close to the train station, and a short walk to the city center. Was more than enough of an accomodation with a full kitchen, and even a little outdoor space off the living room. The building was very secure with a code, as well as a fob for the inner door, and then the key to your room as well. This was a good find to lay my head for 2 nights on a quick trip.

It was a nice spacious apartment 300m from the train station (Brussels Midi).
The room above was a bit noisy with them moving furniture but that could be down to tiled flooring rather than carpeting which would have dampened the noise.
If we were visiting that part of Brussels in the future we would stay here again.

Checkin costs 15euros after 10pm - undisclosed

The room and facilities were good. However the experience with the checkin overshadowed that. My husband and I reached the apartment at 10:45pm. We had received email correspondence a week before asking about our check in time, at which point i mentioned we would be arriving between 10:30 and 11pm. We also called the hotel the day before our arrival to confirm this. We arrived at the hotel, and called the phone number provided, no one picked up. We were let in by some guests. We went to the 'reception' (which was another apartment) and upon checkin, we were asked to pay an extra 15euros for checkin past 10pm. I explained that the website mentioned checkin upto 11pm. After a brief argument, the 15euro checkin fee was waived. After a long trip, this was not a pleasant check in experience.
Also, the TV was not working in the room, and wifi was terrible.

We just had an overnight stay in Brussels and this hotel fit our needs. It was very spacious, wihh lots of room for a family, if needed. The amenities were very sufficient. We arrived in the AM and they held our luggage while we explored around town. Only communication issue of concern would the that the individual who checked us in later in the day was unaware of the status of our luggage, which had been moved into our room and was much appreciated.

Located close to Bara Midi train station, though the area was a bit sketchy. Brussels main sights were within walking distance (around 15 minutes).The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating, providing us with a fan to counter the extreme heat. The apartment was a good size for a family of 4, and well-appointed with fridge, kettle, etc. The toilet was a bit awkward (we were told not to put toilet paper in it.)

Apartments are a fairly quick walk from the train station and are actually a decent walk to Grand Place for waffles and chocolate. I’m sure it would probably be better in fall or spring, but there is no a/c just 1 ceiling fan, and the street noises are super loud!! As we met my daughter in Europe I couldn’t put her on our reservation as I bundled with the air, when we arrived at the apartment the reception guy took one look and said he was going to charge us for the extra person even though I had already paid extra to upgrade to more beds!! $40 Euro, this was not in the fine print!!

This was a very clean hotel that was also very spacious. The room had a balcony overlooking one of the main roads which was great for people watching. The street noise was surprisingly not very loud. Only a 6 minute walk to the Midi train station and a 20 minute walk to the Grand Place. Would definitely recommend it here!

Clean, convenient location, massive room

This hotel is located just 5 minutes from Brussels’s Gare de Midi. There are some Restaurants supermarkets and cornershops around as well as a small mall in station. It’s in a safe area only 30 minutes to he city centre. My apartment was huge with a 3 seat sofa, table and chair kitchen with appliances, Big LCDTV everything except air-conditioner. Instead there was a ceiling fan which was very nostalgic for me but I wonder if it could be a bit challenging when the weather is a bit hot. The facade of the building is quite old and needs refurbishment but inside the apartments were modern and new. The walls there were a bit thin. Overall a pleasant stay in a clean and decent hotel. I will definitely stay again

Hotel close to MIDI

The hotel was very close to the train station which was great for us as the second day we went to Bruges. The hotel messaged us on here in advance asking about or estimated check in time to be sure they are there. It worked out great. They let us check in hour early. Hotel is 10 minutes from the Pis statue and around 15-20 minutes from Grand Palace. Room was very spacious with a separate kitchen.

This stay was such a great experience! The staff were so friendly and helpful and made our short stay worthwhile. The apartment was comfortable and much more spacious than we expected for how cheap it was. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the city center but it's not bad. Overall, really loved this place!

The apartment was clean and service was very good. There was no AC which normally wouldn't be a big deal but it was extremely hot the days we were in Brussels. The area was terrible. Although it is close to a train station and 15-20 min walk to city center, the area is very unsafe. Men would be on the street and stare as you walked pass them. It made us feel very uncomfortable. The uber driver that drove us there from the airport told us not to walk to the hotel at night because the area was dangerous for young women. We got an egg thrown at us while entering the building one night.

We were a little confused when we arrived because the entrance is easily missed, but the receptionist was fantastic and offered to hold our luggage the following day so we didn't have to check it at the train station. The room was a great size for our family and the bonus coffee / hot chocolate was a delight. It is very close to the train station and metro, which was very convenient but not the nicest part of Brussels! Easy to walk or take the metro to the old town. We were a little confused by the electric toilets, but everything went smoothly.

This hotel was a quick walk away from Midi Train station. It is also a convenient walk away from Grand Place. The room is very small. We booked a room for 6 people. Our room came with 1 full size bed and 2 twin beds. There's a couch that reclines and they claimed that it counts as a pull out bed. It was extremely uncomfortable because it doesn't even recline all the way. You're not allowed to leave the hotel to check out until they check out the room first, so make sure you're not in a rush.

周辺以外はリーズナブルなアパート

リーズナブルなアパート。南駅から近く隣国の旅には便利。市内へは地下鉄で数駅。南駅で移民が多く安全な感じはしないため夜遅くは注意がいると思う(女性の一人旅には不向きかな)。近くに美味しいバーがあり2回ほど夜遅くに通ったが迷わず速歩で。二軒ほど綺麗なバーとレストランがある。アパートなのでチェックインタイムに制約、これが一番痛いかな。メールでのコミュニケーションは全くできないと思った方がよい(返信は一度もない)。タオルは言ったら交換してくれた。英語は殆ど通じないが、頑張って身振りやらでコミュニケーションはしてくれる。部屋はちゃんとしていて不満はない。ミニキッチンや大きな冷蔵庫はある。

Overall, our stay in the hotel has been pretty fantastic. The room was bigger than we thought, the beds are comfy, the sofa was surprisingly snug. Despite the fact that the space of the bathtub was a bit problematic to use, it’s great that the hotel has provided sufficient soap to use. The double huge windows were fantastic to maintain airflow. The staff were helpful as well.

Smukt med god beliggenhed

Smuk og lækker lejlighed med god beliggenhed. Meget tæt på den største togstation i Bruxelles (MIDI)
Dejlig lille balkon med planter og en enkel stol. Lækre gratis sæber, shampoo og bodywash.
Venligt personale, som var behjælpelig med opmagasinering af kufferter før indcheckning.

Huoneiston huoneratkaisu toimiva, koska olohuone ja makuuhuone ovat erillisiä huoneita (osa matkaseurueesta voi valvoa pidempään halutessaan). Hotellilla on hyvä sijainti, sillä paikan lähellä on suuri juna-asema, josta pääsee nopeasti junalla muun muassa Waterloohon. Hotellin siisteys on hyvä sekä talossa on myös hissi. Kaupunginosa, jossa hotelli sijaitsee voi tuntua hieman karulta, mutta me emme tunteneet oloamme turvattomaksi.

Hotellin muutamat pienet heikkoudet eivät olleet meille suuri ongelma, joskin toivottavasti hotellissa osattaisiin jatkossa asteen verran paremmin englantia sekä käytössämme olleen huoneen wifi korjattaisiin. Muiden huoneiden wifit kyllä näkyivät iPadin verkkovalinnassa, mutta oman huoneemme nimellä olevaa ei. Pienenä lisähuomiona nostaisin sen, että valaistuksessa voisi käyttää lämpimämpää valon väriä, sillä valkoinen ledi särähtää omaan silmään huoneistossa.
Tämä on toimiva ratkaisu Brysseliin tutustumiseen, ja tuplaparveke oli kiva lisä huoneessamme.

Nice and spacious apartment in good location near Midi Station (shuttle from Charleroi)

Walking location from main sights
- Communication was very difficult. They did not answer any messages and only 1/5 phonecalls. Staff did not speak english. Even when arriving late in the evening we were not sure if there was anyone to open the door for us. Finally there was.
- Neighbourhood was very dirty, but not too loud. Nevertheless is was better location, than crowded tourist areas.

Abbiamo alloggiato 3 notti in questa struttura, precisamente nell'appartamento new york.
Nulla da dire sull'alloggio, che globalmente si presentava ampio, comfortevole, caldo e dotato di ogni comfort (sopratutto in cucina dove non mancava macchina del caffe, bollitore, microonde, frullatore ecc). Gentilissimi i proprietari che tra l'altro riescono a comunicare sia in inglese, francese e italiano. La struttura in se appare fatiscente, ascensore davvero stretta per chi ha il passeggino. Punto dolente purtroppo la zona che reputo poco sicura soprattutto la sera, quando magari si rincasa a piedi. D'altra parte, essendo adiacente alla stazione, ce il vantaggio di spostarsi agevolmente dappertutto.

Everything was ok. Except that I didn’t get the deposit back, I called and supposedly they told me the deposit was given back the day I left the hotel, but I checked my bank account and it is the date that I don’t see it back. You should work on that. Be very careful with the deposit.

Accueil très chaleureux par le monsieur et sa fille avec des explications claires et conseils sur les visites. Le quartier est peu touristique mais on regagne vite le centre ville à pied ou en métro (15 minutes). Une supérette est à deux pas ainsi qu’une brasserie qui se visite . Nous avions pris un parking pour sécuriser la voiture 20€ par jour très pratique et le gérant nous a autorisé à le garder jusqu’à notre départ sans frais. Appartement très grand ( suite famille 1 ) avec deux sdb et grands lits très propres. Il manque de la vaisselle et couvert et tasse pour la famille . C’est dommage. Car sinon notre séjour a été très agréable pour découvrir Bruxelles.
