The resort is in a great location along a reef. Ocean swimming and snorkeling are great right from the resort. Unfortunately the old Sunscape Sabor resort that is directly adjacent to the Dreams is under construction and it is very noisy. We were very close to the construction and were not notified.

False advertisement. Half of the restaurants were not open; the elevator was out of service the entire trip; construction noise all day; the neighboring resort was closed but advertised as having options available to Dreams guests; I paid specifically for 2 double beds and was placed in a room with a King - was told I could not get what I paid for until the next day because the resort was sold out. How is that possible when I had a reservation that clearly states, 2 double beds. The rooms held moisture so always felt damp. Nightly entertainment was a flop. Arrived on a Sunday and there should have been nightly entertainment but it was advertised for the weekend guests not those staying early in the week. This was definitely not at the level of other Dreams resorts.

My husband and I stayed here for a babymoon last week. My husband got so sick we had to pay to have medical staff treat him & prescribe antibiotics. We did not leave the resort during our stay so we believe it was something served at the restaurants. Our room was very clean but dated and had a lot of empty space. On our first day they did not have towels available for a while - after that we woke up early to get clean beach towels. There is ongoing construction, but it did not disrupt our stay. The area & beach is beautiful! It is rocky, but easy to walk in/out with water shoes.

We were not notified at all that there would be construction going on during our stay. While on the beach we were literally less than 20 feet away from construction so while we are trying to relax on the beach all we can hear are LOUD power drills, slamming of wood, etc. It was anything BUT relaxing. And one of the nights we stayed the construction and loud power tools were still going at 10:00 PM at night. I was shocked that they were still working and shocked that the resort would allow that sort of disruption to happen so close to paying customer's rooms. We did not receive daily house keeping and sopent our last day on the resort with zero towels in our room and we did not even bother to ask the front desk because anything you ask for, if you don't have to ask twice, you have to wait an hour plus for. Also the view from my room was another wall and some of the pool. Less than desirable but we did not opt to pay for a certain view, so.

We booked Dreams preferred club junior suite. When we arrived we aere movedvro Secrets Aura andcwax told thiscwas an upgrade.I have stayed in Secrets in the past this was not an upgrade. When we addressed the issue with management they said they were full with no availability at Dreams but could go to the resturants at both resorts.

The rooms were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating! Sunsets were beautiful and snorkeling was great! The food was just ok, not a lot of variety for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was good. The wait times for the restaurants for dinner were really long, many times over an hour. It doesn’t help that you could go to Secrets restaurants, as they don’t allow children, even older teens.

Amazing time, the resort has got to be one of my tops places to stay and relax, food very good, drinks perfect(strong), staff was very approachable and accommodating, definitely worth it and yes we will be coming back.

Don’t book Dreams/secrets. They went out of their way to not communicate things like an exorbitant “dock fee” to a fiasco moving rooms where they promised one thing then didn’t follow through. We had to repack multiple times and move rooms twice. It appears the resort has gone downhill recently and is not what it once was. The food wasn’t bad, the bar supplies were always missing. Towels were not available and the resort appears to be neglected. Will not stay there again. If you are a diver, they will try to force you to use their preferred diving operation. I use the same dive operator and the resort staff for aggressive pushing their operator. Sad situation

The staff was amazing. It was my birthday trip and felt pampered the entire time.
We even signed up for the time share (curiosity) and were asked for 90 minutes of our time and to please be honest and say yes or no, not maybe.
After 4 hours and us declining every single option between 4 different people we were able to leave the sales area.
Our first interaction with Daphne and Mike were very pleasant.
A different women who came out after them was very different meeting unpleasant. She did not like us declining her offers.

I would especially like to recognize the following team members for their outstanding service:

>Clara, assistant sommelier — amazing knowledge and great recommendations

>Juan Carlos, beach & pool service — beautiful decorations, incredibly hardworking, and always helpful

While the service was exceptional, there were some room issues that were disappointing, and it seems that pre-arrival room checks could be improved—such as checking for non-working lights, clogged sinks, and similar details. Also, although the restaurants offer a good variety, the overall food quality could use some attention and seems to have deteriorated compared to previous stays.

Overall, the employees truly made a difference in our experience. With a few improvements in room preparation, management, and food quality, this hotel has the potential to be outstanding.

The pictures online are much better than reality. The staff seemed nice at first. However, they quickly turn rude and become annoyed. The room smelled musty and moldy. The bathroom is nice and appearance, but has poor ventilation so nothing ever dries such as towels or swimsuits. The floor was dirty. They only gave us enough towels and linens for two guests even though we had three guests booked. If you call to request something, expect it to take hours. My biggest concern is the lack of hygiene and sanitation. The buffet is an absolute disaster. We became sick with food poisoning after eating dinner on the first night. There is no hand sanitizer and there is no liquid soap in the bathrooms. There is only bar soap to wash your hands with in the rooms. The counters and floors are dirty. We spent the first two full days recovering from food poisoning induced gastroenteritis. The staff tried to tell us the only way we could get medication is if we see their doctor. I explained even in the US antidiarrheal medication such as Imodium or Pepto-Bismol is available over-the-counter. They reluctantly directed me to the pharmacy at the resort next-door, where the medication cost me 50 bucks for my family to feel better. I am a physician and was able to select medications and make sure my family stay hydrated. When I brought my concerns to the front lobby, staff, they were defensive and argumentative. They also just completely lacked sympathy from one human to another. We left early.

Several key areas need major improvement. The food quality was very disappointing, and the entertainment options felt limited and poorly executed. The drinks did not meet expectations either, lacking both quality and consistency. Very discouraging to arrive at resort and have no reservations. Dreams blames Expedia, Expedia blames Dreams. Resort staff could only say we have nothing for you, you need to call Expedia. Finally got worked out but resort did not seem very helpful. First room was a little dated and not fully clean so we upgraded at extra cost to better room. Only 2 restaurants opened all week, not the variety or selection we have experienced from other Dreams. Hardly any poolside activities or nighttime activities.

There is a reconstruction going on. You hear all noise during the day. It doesn’t feel like a vacation. The beach has seaweed issues. The restaurants are closed frequently. The regular staff which provides the service is very nice and they will do everything for you, but we met some nasty and very rude staff members as well who called themselves “supervisors”. Generally will not recommend this resort (Dreams at Cozumel). There are so many other nice places to be.

This was the worst all-inclusive and vacation experience of my life. The room conditions were not to the level of the advertised standard. I had a room with several bugs and roaches, water leaks, mold and the food was not consumable. They finally changes my room after 2 days to a down gradec and never gave me a refund for the swimout room I paid for. I feel scammed with all of the false advertising. I had to travel through an abandoned resort to get to Secrets where they didnt have enough space to accomidate guests I will never go to this resort or recommend it to anyone. Wendy la chica de los drinks nos cayo super, es muy amable y trabajadora. Ademas Luz, de entretenimiento se ve que ama su trabajo y sabe tratar a las personas.

La habitacion super comoda, amplia y la cama muy confortable.

Sin duda regresariamos a este hotel.

El unico inconvenciente esta en el check in. Las personas que te atienden podrian ser mas amables y asignarte el cuarto a tiempo. Aunque llegamos temprano al hotel y fuimos varias veces a la recepcion se tardaron mucho en entregarnos el cuarto(y no eramos los unicos) .
Finalemente nos entregaron la habitacion despues de las 3:30 pm. Creo que podrian mejorar en eso.

We will not return. We went last year and had such a good time my husband and I went back again this year. We will not return. Hyatt took over this property a couple of years ago and are making changes in all the wrong ways. The food quality went from excellent to mediocre at best. We were woken up each morning at 8:30 by construction workers using a jack-hammer right outside our door (no exaggeration!). When we complained about the noise we were told we could change rooms if we felt it was necessary, but not until 3:00 or 4:00. There were no other concessions or solutions offered and the manager never contacted us (no surprise there). Our swim-out pool had a ring of green slime on the walls around it. I watched them clean the pool walls every day last year and not once this year. Overall, the property looks run-down. On the positive side, the snorkeling from the beach is excellent.

Good afternoon,

I had a terrible experience — truly one of the worst I've ever encountered. From the moment I arrived, the staff was unwelcoming and inattentive. The lobby is extremely small, barely accommodating ten people. The buffet restaurant was unacceptable: the food was of very poor quality, and the fruit was covered in flies — absolutely appalling.

The pool area looked more like a small backyard pool or a kiddie splash zone than what you'd expect from a hotel. The rooms were outdated, equipped with mini-split air conditioners that, unsurprisingly, didn’t work.

For the price they charge, this hotel is simply not worth it. It was such a disappointing experience that I decided to leave the very next day, fully aware I might lose my money since I booked through Expedia.

Fortunately, I found The Westin Cozumel, which offered an infinitely better experience for the same price. I sincerely hope others don't make the same mistake I did.

We thought the resort was nice, no major complaints. We had a swim out pool room and we really liked that. The food could be better as far as choices and it was odd how some buffets wouldn't be open? Nice you could use Secret's facilities, but there buffet's would also be closed on random days. Entertainment was OK at night - nothing great. We did enjoy Hyedy(?) - she did a great job with the water exercise and other fun activities. Overall the stay was nice - just wished there were better food choices and maybe just ONE English speaking channel other the the hotel chanel. Couldn't relax and watch a movie or chill with TV - even though there was a huge TV in the room....

1.Made us wait out side our room for over a hour in the heat and humidity until they had to change the electric lock.
2.View was supposed to be ocean view and it was a sliver of a view. We had a wall and a roof view.
3.Food at the buffet was terrible and unhygienic. Flies everywhere especially at the two grills during breakfast! (My wife became ill after eating at the buffet and ended up being take my ambulance to the hospital ER. The this experience cost us $1500.
4.We paid $380 for a true ocean view and the room had a mole smell and feel to it.
5. The A/C made a terrible noise and the floor was damp and dangerously slippery
6.Phone did not work on day 3 to order room service.
I had to walk to the lobby and order the food.
I was told the technician was gone and they would fix it the next day.
7.We left the property on day 4 and I told them the reasons why and all I was told was sorry.
We could not stay at Dreams anymore for fear of the food and the lack of care for are basic needs as guest not being met.
I would like to officially ask for a refund of the last four days we did not stay in the hotel. I think this is only fair. We should really receive a full refund however I will be satisfied with the four days we did not use the hotel.
I have the hospital bill if you would like to see it.
I would also like to speak to someone from Expedia in regards to a refund and the poor description of the hotel on your website.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
I think it depends what you're looking for. It's a smaller, more intimate (albeit family-filled) resort without the amenities and selection of larger places, perfect for my wife and me (both retired)--but brings advantages and disadvantages.
Great: attentive staff, walkable (5 min, end-to-end), good restaurants (no reservations needed), oceanside room really was right on top of the ocean, beach waiter service, snorkeling from the beach, small, casual shows each night outside the bar (Karaoke, Magic, etc.).
Less-than-great: limited buffet, Preferred upgrade basically just meant a better view and access to restaurants at adjacent Sunscape & Secrets via shuttle cart and room service, small (and sometimes loud) pool, no 24-hour food/drink locales, some places could use more maintenance attention.
All that being said, we would book there for our next visit to Cozumel.

The place was clean and the service was excellent. The food is average, and authentic mexican cuisine is surprisingly limited.

The dinner entertainment was terrible. Fir instance, the Mayan Dinner hosted by the sister resort Secrets Aura. It is nothing like the advertisement video they promote, and most of the dinner guests around us were visibly displeased with the quality of both the food and the entertainment.

The spa services were amazing! We had hydrotherapy, a couple's massage, and reflexology treatment. Best spa we have been to!

The sandy beach is beautiful, but the shoreline is very rocky, so bring swim shoes to protect your feet if you plan to swim or snorkel.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Dreams resort in Cozumel. Our room was beautiful and clean, the food was good, and we enjoyed the entertainment offered. We loved our oceanfront view and enjoyed sitting on our balcony enjoying all the natural beauty that surrounded us. We especially appreciated the time we spent with Andri. He was in charge of entertainment during our stay there. He was hard working, friendly, positive, and kind. He made each day at your resort a little brighter because of our interactions with him. Thank you Andri!

The location of all the rooms and restaurants have great views of the ocean. The buildings are not in great repair and show signs of age. Buffet food is not great. The restaurant Olio was good and the Secrets food was nice. The pool at Dreams is in great shape and clean. The sister resorts pools are aged and dirty. Beach was nice but rocky. Entertainment team was great.

The staff was helpful and wonderful to be around. The resort is all inclusive, the food at every restaurant was terrible, seemed as if everything was microwaved from Costco. After the 2nd night of our stay, we would take taxi to downtown to dine off property.

Housekeeping would only refresh items if requested- needed to ask for the basics like more toilet paper.
Each morning of our stay, pool towels were unavailable and when stocked, limit one per person.
The pool and beach furniture were old, uncomfortable and covered in mold. Not enough pool/beach furniture for the guests. To obtain a chair, you needed to get it before 7am or you would not have a place to relax.
Public restrooms had doors that didn’t close and needed to be better serviced.

For the cost of what I paid per night, I was expecting higher quality food and better amenities.

Dreams is located on a beautiful beach and the property itself is quite attractive. The staff goes out of its way to cater to the guests in every way and seems to genuinely enjoy pleasing people. Food options are varied, especially with the ability to access the restaurants at Secrets. My biggest objection was the caliber of many of the clientele, who were loud, obnoxious and yelled obscenities as you would expect at a frat party or Spring Break. The young children have an excuse for wailing, but the adults don’t. I’m not sure what the management could do to discourage this behavior without alienating the guests. The other issue concerned the process for staking out the limited beach chairs. I went down every morning, sometimes as early as 6 am, to place towels on seaside beach chairs. I later learned, the hard way, that unless the towel had a personal item on it, the staff would remove the towel. This was never explained to me and caused disappointment and friction with other guests.
