Stayed for family vacation. All inclusive stay. Highlights were ocean access with seating and a convenient bar. Location was very good for us, you could walk either direction to explore. Property and surroundings felt very safe. Some boat tours pick you up at the property. Easy to schedule excursions with help from the property. Prices were similar to online scheduling options. Pool seemed popular but we concentrated on the ocean access. Lower price meant no guilt for taking excursions off property. Lows were room condition was just okay, snack bar food was terrible for us, main food was mostly buffet style, not fancy but generally well done. Would consider staying again. The price was very reasonable.

Definitely lacking in numbers for service help. Evidently there's been a recent sale and the employees are definitely not happy about it... It definitely shows. Lots of stories of how it used to be, but this time it was very hard to get any service besides the bartenders and you had to wait in line for every drink, just one bartender and zero waiters at the pool or beach. Trying to get a coffee at breakfast was almost impossible and if you got it yourself they came and grabbed the coffee pot from your table without a word. I continued to tip one guy that was always smiling, $5 and told him good job, most of the others were never smiling. I need to work on customer service for sure! Facility was very clean and besides the serving staff everyone was pretty nice. .

I have stayed at this resort since 2012 and can say that it has always been one of my favorite resorts in the world. I keep coming back to it. The staff is what makes this resort stand out. They are hands down great people. They are friendly and kind and will absolutely make your stay as pleasant as possible. I have stayed at the higher end resorts on Cozumel but have always been happier at hotel Cozumel. This resort is the best on the island. Alexis went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was as smooth and relaxing as possible.

This hotel is located within walking distance to the city and beaches. This is the best, small family feel hotel on the island. I have been back 7 times and will continue to do so. The vibe, very friendly,staff, snorkeling off the pier, the delicious food and on and on. It’s perfect!

The hospitality was absolutely amazing in every category possible and very engaging. The variety of food was outstanding and very tasteful. The staff, Tony, Carlos, Jaunita, Jessy, Daniel, Pepe and Mario were absolutely amazing and treated us like family. We will be back for our pool time and championship water volleyball.

Poolside seating was comfy - could have a few more shaded areas or umbrellas at both the pool and beach.

Beverages for all inclusive were tasty and the staff were very timely. The selection of beer was small (e.g. only two), and no mojitos were available.

Benefit of this location is the closeness to town - no need to taxi to get downtown. The room is also nice and big, and any issues they addressed.

The staff were are friendly and helpful. The resort was on the quieter side compared to other places in Mexico that we’ve stayed but we enjoyed that as it was more relaxing. Downfall would be the breakfast and lunch buffets, pretty much the same items every day. The restaurant for dinner reservation had good service and food.

The pool snack bar food was also great if you could ever get a server or service to get it. Great horel, amenities, food, but terrible service. We stayed in this hotel a few years ago and the food and service 100 % better. This time the only one buffet/restaurant was opened. The second one had to be booked which was almost impossible to do so. Extremely small food selection and pretty much the same every day. No music on the beach. Rooms extremely outdated with very basic amendments. Only one place to eat and the service not as friendly. Shows very basic. Fitness extremely small and outdated almost no one was using it. Drinks nothing special served in a very small glasses filled up with ice. Very poor service overall for the price. Will not be returning.

What an aweful Hotel. Food is barely edible. The waiter staff is useless and rarely even asked if I wanted a drink. Don't plan on relaxing, it is SO noisy due to activities at the pool going on all day. They only have Wifi in the lobby not in the room. I'm a solo traveler so i need connection for updates. The dive company Paradise Dive had really good Dive masters. They also own the slowest dive boat and needs to be retired. 8 am 2 tank dive back 6 hours later.

Overall we enjoyed our stay (April 2026). We enjoy snorkelling so it was nice to be able to do that from the beach club. The location is great in that you can easily walk to town. We had no issue acquiring a beach chair for the day, though I think that was due to lower hotel occupancy at the time. The dining room was not overly busy and the food was good, although not a huge spread, we could always find something we liked to eat. I think if the hotel was at full capacity we likely would have found it too crowded as the beach club is not very big and there is only one dining room and one specialty restaurant (only open 3 evenings of the week), at least at the time we were there. The staff were all great and the hotel was very clean and well maintained.

The property is old but they keep it clean, the internet is basically non existent anymore, it definitely had been better in the past. This was an issue as I work while there, or attempt to. The food is mediocre but the cost is very low also. The pool was closed for 3 days due to some filtration issues. This was my 5th time staying here, mostly because of the cost and location. We love being able to walk into town.

This was a great experience, enjoyed every bit of it.
Rooms: Nice air conditioning, nicely cleaned every day, plenty of towels and toiletries provided.
Pool area: Fantastic, clean swimming pool, hot water jacuzzi, nice sitting area.
Activities: You can never get bored here, even if you don't step out of the resort. They have so many games through out the day. You can go for bicycle tour, water volleyball, lazy games and fun activities around the pool all day long.
Beach: It is a rocky beach so swim boots will make it easy. You'll see so many fishes if you go snorkelling/diving (gear included in all-inclusive). Beach side tables, beds, massage service are all wonderful.
Food: Best food.!!! You will see variety for most of the nights, mexican, chinese, greek, they have many options in buffet which is there for breakfast, lunch & dinner. And buffet is right by the beach which you can access from resort lobby through a small tunnel, takes 2 minutes. There is also a snack bar by the pool during the day so you don't have to go to the buffet all the time.
Drinks: Plenty of drinks all around the resort. One bar is by the pool area, one is on the beach, and one with buffet as well.
Other amenities: they have a salon & gym inside the resort, kids play and pool area. Even on the beach they have small section for kids.
Staff: Excellent customer service by all of them.
Overall, I think it is a great deal for great price. I absolutely loved Cozumel Hotel & Resort. Definitely coming back.!

This resort has really declined over the past year. The food was the most noticeable. There were extremely limited options on the buffet meals, and the food did not taste fresh. Some of the potatoes and veggies were not cooked or even warm. For breakfast the omelet station was the only thing to eat. There was no bacon or sausage for meats, only leftover \"chicken in green sauce\" that was on the evening buffet, and some cut up hot dogs. Last year there were shrimp options and fresh fish every evening. This was not the case this year.
The swimming pool was very dirty and murky green. They shut it down for one day to clean it, so at least the issue was recognized. But not having the pool for a day was an issue with my 11 year old boy.
The rooms were reasonable clean, and the activities staff were excellent with my kid. They were the highlight of the trip.
Overall due to the food and pool cleanliness issues we will not return.

Lots of people on wifi around pool so connecting was hit/miss. No issues though with wifi on beach! Pool was closed final days during our stay because of issues with filtration?

Upon checking into the hotel, we immediately encountered a serious issue: the bed in our room was infested with bed bugs. This created a highly uncomfortable and unacceptable situation. We were forced to contact housekeeping, who had to spray the room and change the bedding—not once, but twice—during our stay. This significantly disrupted our experience and caused understandable concern for our health and safety.
In addition to this, the hotel’s pool facilities were not properly maintained. The pool was in an unsanitary condition and remained closed for two of the three days of our stay. This was particularly disappointing, as access to the pool was one of the amenities we specifically looked forward to. We have photographs documenting the condition of the pool and would be happy to provide them upon request.
We also rented a cabana on the beach side. We were the only ones who paid. Everyone else just laid in the other cabanas without paying or the staff advice to do so. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations.

You can get an inexpensive stay and is nice if you have a larger party especially with kids. The food, however, is horrible and please say expect to pay to eat elsewhere off the resort. Breakfast can maybe pass but lunch and dinner is not great. The staff are nice mostly, but if you eat at the pool area they tend to ignore you if you are a person of color. Not really sure why?? It happened to me repeatedly. The pool is nice. The rooms are dated there is no wifi outside of the lobby. You can drink all you want but it is not top shelf. Overall 3 out of 5 stars for being available as some may only be able to afford these type of accommodations to see the world. As for me, I will not return.

Also being able to use the bicycle, life jackets and snorkeling equipment were great! The vibe was like a family oriented place which was great! The rooms are old, leaking water in the bathroom, clogged sink. Service friendly but slow. The worse was the food, not much to choose from and poorly prepared and presented. Watered down coffee and juices.
Tiny gym with few old machines. No towels were offered. Small beach with few lounge chairs. The access to the water is through the metal staircase and it is slippery and it gets deep. Good for snorkeling and good swimmers. The hotel is not directly on the beach. You need to cross the street or go through the tunnel with lots of steps.

This hotel was on the older side, and that was ok. The little cove / beach was beautiful and we snorkeled almost every day. If you don’t have googled the lifeguard usually can let you rent a pair for less than $5 for a few hours. The views were gorgeous. The food was actually pretty good and their salsas were spicy and had flavor! Usually all inclusive resorts lack that. This isn’t a party hotel at all, which is what i wanted. I wanted to just relax. That being said i came with 2 other coworkers on our spring break. We had booked months in advance so I was confused upon check in when they didn’t give us rooms next to each other , let alone on the same floor. They said it was “whatever was available “ like ok? We booked in advance for a reason. The second issue was that the people in the room next to me were extremely loud for 3 nights in a row way past 1am. Screaming, laughing, music etc. i called security the first night and they came immediately. When this happened the second and third night, security did not come up and check with them like they did the first night. There were no accommodations given after not being able to sleep for a few days and did not want to move me rooms. We left a key in a room one night and it was annoying they couldn’t give us another one, they made you walk up with them and look for your key in the room. I probably would not stay again , the hotel was pretty run down and old and the service could be a lot better.

This was a nice stay! Great pool area, very clean facilities, friendly staff. A suggestion would be to have a few more things for teens to do - maybe a basketball court/ games room. Also, the fluorescent lighting in the restaurants is not warm/ inviting. Some soft, lower lights would add a lot to the ambience and make it less industrial- feeling.
Overall, a good place, especially for the price.

We thought this place was well worth what we paid for. Clean rooms, VERY comfy beds and pillows, good food, and location was great for those (like us) that like to venture off resort and go downtown for live music and local restaurants. I suggest following Cosumelmusic.com which will give location, time, performers, and a map on how to get there! Staff were friendly, great place to snorkel right off of the beach, and coffee was great! Highly recommend this place. Shout out to Daniel the amazing bartender and Toni the entertainment king!

Rooms were average. There were no towels in our room the first day so we had to request them from the front. There is virtually no service at any of the meals especially breakfast or lunch at the buffet. At dinner, we were lucky to get excellent service from Miguel. The bartender by the pier was always great and so were the towel team by the pool.

The store/pharmacy inside the hotel is a rip-off but you pay for the convenience. You can also walk 10 minutes for more stores if you need something that would undoubtedly be less of a rip off.

We enjoyed borrowing the snorkelling gear from the resort and did so most of the days.

Overall, I believe it’s a place to be if you enjoy snorkelling or water activities like scuba diving and not so much focussed on resort services.

This property is great I think if it is your first time at an all inclusive resort. The hotel itself is not on the beach directly, you have to cross the street or take the hotel tunnel underneath to go to the sea, it's a short walk. I say sea bc there is not a beach style entry into the ocean here. It is very rocky and has stairs to use. The snorkeling is pretty decent here and we loved the \"ocean pools\" there is two of them. When we were here there was a TON of divers, and they had a great fire show as entertainment one night. As for entertainment that was all I really did enjoy here. The room was a bit dirty when we checked in, we actually cleaned all the counter tops ourselves and when we needed towels we had to go and request them 2X. Alexis at guest services was very helpful with that. The front desk staff was also great. The young man and women who work in the on site coffee shop were phenomenal and so was the coffee! (Not part of the all inclusive, unfortunately, but worth it for sure!) The service here left a lot to be desired as far as the wait staff and having to ask for a room cleaning one of the days, pool big and decent, drinks decent, bartenders were very friendly.

We had a wonderful stay. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. Pool needs a little tile work. Staff was so fun! Suny and Jessie were our favs for activities. The breakfast and lunch were pretty good. The snack bar at pool needs work! Terrible menu and food. You got rid of the club sandwich, burger dry and over cooked. No guacamole or chips and salsa on menu. Should also have decent nachos and maybe a couple more sandwiches. 2nd restaurant would be welcomed. Booze is ok. Could use a little better quality. No Wi-fi in the rooms is ridiculous. I would stay longer if I could work from my room. It’s 2026. Wi-fi is a must. Overall it was a good stay for the price.

Staff: Most staff were rude, inexperienced, not trained in customer service or just completely incompetent. Cleanliness: Sheets were disgusting, ghost ants all over the bathroom and the smell of mold was terrible. Had to change rooms to find one that I could actually breath in. Food: gross! This property was a hidden little gem. We are two females that went here solo for 5 days and we felt safe and had a blast. The snorkeling off the private beach near the water was amazing. The property has gear for you to use for free. You have to make sure you bring it back before a certain time. Staff were all friendly. Food at the beach was great. The night shows were fun and we had a blast. Taxis everywhere so getting out and about was easy. There are vehicles at the property you can rent, super bonus! Now let’s talk about the cons, room service is apart of the all inclusive BUT they will charge you $7 for delivery. Beach bar closed early, pool bar was open until 10pm. I lost my room key and they will make you pay $6 for a piece of plastic. I believe the towel keys are more expensive so thankfully I didn’t do that. The curtains are not black out BUT we did notice storm covers so we closed them and it fixed our problem. Overall it was great. We plan on coming back for another stay. Everyone including the guests at the resort were nice and from all walks of life. Thank you for making this our first best friend trip memorable. Until next time.💜

The staff was really helpful. The food was delicious. Just note in order to get to this resort from the airport you need to take the ferry. Once on the island you can walk 20 minutes. The beach is on the other side about a 5 minute taxi ride. Enjoy!

We had such a pleasant stay at Cozumel! The rooms were very clean and we loved that it came with a hammock. The food was honestly very satisfactory for an all inclusive — we enjoyed the snack bar and restaurant a lot! Just make sure you ask for the hours of each (buffet/snack bar/restaurant) so you are aware. The bar also had great drinks! All of our activities were booked through the hotel as well which was very helpful. You can snorkel and dive at the hotel but we also booked ATV riding, cenote swimming, and stingray meeting! Tony at the resort who hosted our karaoke was great :) all the staff were very very friendly.

It’s a little older of a resort but of all the places we’ve stayed I think we had the most fun. Food is all buffet except for Los Arcos but overall it was decent. Close to town and many excursions nearby. Noise from the outside to the rooms wasn’t the best but while on vacation that’s ok for us. It quieted down nicely after the 9:30 mark. Overall a good stay worth what you pay for.

Very clean room. Staff is great, very willing to help.
Vegans avoid all inclusive plan. Not many options for food at buffet.
Drinks are a tad watered down.
Snorkeling out front was great, we saw rays and variety of fish.
Pool was warm and nice.
Family friendly, have games and such in pool area everyday can be loud.

Resort was amazing! Pool was awesome! Staff was great! I wish wifi was strong in the rooms. Wifi was strong in the restaurant and lobby but weak at the pool and rooms. Also there is no beach so if you are a pool person this won't bother you at all. Also this resort has a dive club so if you are into scuba diving or anything of the like definitely book here, they have excellent reef proximity.

Pool snack bar staff was extremely slow and unfriendly. Took more than an hour to get my chips and guacamole. It finally came with 8 chips and a tablespoon of guac. Beautiful location but the beds were hard as plywood and staff was the worst of all places we have stayed in Mexico (6).

Room cleaned daily, inconsistent replacement of water, Kleenex, towels on arrival requested room change related to elevated bathtub/shower needed to climb up into which was a safety hazard for my husband and I. Told to return next day at noon for an available room. Did this and told to return at 3pm, at that time then told no rooms available when my niece had just checked into a room with a walk in shower. Overall the cleanliness of facility was fair, areas with mold, reusing paper cups at bars? Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good. Location is good proximity to town.

We always stay at the Cozumel Hotel and Resort when we make our yearly trip. You just can't beat the great staff, the huge pool with the great courtyard, and dining in the beachside restaurant for breakfast. You can snorkel or dive from their pier and the dive shop is right there. It's close enough to walk to downtown San Miquel, or you can take a taxi. They have car rentals also, or bikes if you want to get some exercise. It's a WIN WIN WIN!

This resort was exactly what I had hoped for, clean rooms and pool, great food and quality drinks everyday for our 7 day stay. The staff might have been the best part of the experience, they truly did what they could every time we interacted with them to ensure we were happy with whatever we had going on. They had several excursion guides to help us make plans if we wanted to leave the resort and do most anything. Oceanside access was beautiful, on property snorkeling was spectacular, and everyday they posted signage for the days activities around the pool area, including a few fairly major shows after dinner time on a stage near the pool. There was literally always something fun to do going on. This is a Scuba resort and we didn't stay here to scuba dive, but many happy people were. If I go back to Cozumel, I'll plan to stay here again. We loved it.

Our 28th, and sadly, final stay at this property. Staff is still amazing, but the owner's penny pinching and baffling decision making is really starting to wear thin. Examples... When here in December, we noticed the absence of any seafood. No mussels or shrimp. We assumed it was because of the off season. In Feb (high season) still none. Bar was always running out of their most basic liquor [Bacardi). We watched the \"Captain\" bring a bottle to the pool bar so we tried to order one and were told that they were not allowed to open it til they were given permission.Wifi is still non-existent outside of the lobby. They still have the silly hammocks installed in rooms, but no dressers. The pool, once the most beautiful on the island, is completely falling apart.
I get that this is a \"budget friendly\" resort, but after watching the decline over our past 4 stays, we feel that it's time to move on.

It was a beautiful resort. My only problem was the shower/bathtub had a climb in it and climb out ,careful not to fall and then there was water coming through the tile. The showerhead dripped. Sorry to say the place is falling apart, but other than that, the staff was wonderful.
