Casa Del Mar has amazing staff and service. The swim up bar is nice and for the price, it’s a great location. The food was good, great pier for dive boats, nice snorkeling/shore diving place etc. We will definitely stay again!

The staff are great, Santos, Javier, Wilbert and Jose. Great people.
The restaurant and bar area is very nice and enjoyable to sip a beer.
The pier is great, just 1 min away, great pick up point to go Scuba Diving
The Cabana rooms are spacious.

The rooms could do with an upgrade, especially the bathrooms.
We have been staying there every year for 17 years, the menu in the restaurant has not changed over that time, it could do with some improvement and additions.

Clean rooms, good place to stay with the beach access via bridge. Good snorkeling with lots of fish. Has a pool and jacuzzi. We needed a late checkout and they accommodated. Pool could use updating but for what you pay, great place to stay.

This hotel is great for divers . There is a dive shop on site and more next door. The restaurant opens one hour before dive boat goes. You also can walk around to some shops if you want or other restaurants. You can rent a car at the front desk if you want. Less than 5 minutes to one of the national parks by car. Oh and nice shore dive right out front of the hotel

Happy that the dive shop is open, being able to walk across the bridge and snorkel, dive or just relax by the water is just one of the reasons I keep coming back to Casa Del Mar. The staff has always been the happiest to help and consistently the most inviting people on the island. I just love it there an will continue to come again and again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Del Mar. The staff was helpful and kind. Miguel assisted us with booking some wonderful excersions. When our flight was delayed for 3 days due to a blizzard at home, he was able to extend our stay, which was a huge relief. Javier and Alejandro were fabulous servers and we always felt welcome by all staff at the restaurant. The rooms were clean as well as the grounds very well kept.We also enjoyed the access to Nochi Cocum beach. I would definitely book there again.

Clean room, very friendly staff. Pool and hot tub were a lifesaver when the weather was bad on the beach. Make sure to checkout the included beach club, takes about 20 minutes to get there but it’s worth the drive. Quiet and pretty beach club with lots of lounges.

We chose Casa del Mar this time to be away from the downtown area but still have restaurants etc nearby. The location was absolutely perfect. The staff was wonderful - very friendly and helpful. We also loved the pool and beach area. (Hot tub was too hot though!)

Our biggest complaint is the wi-fi - it was incredibly weak. It was such a source of stress for us that it will probably keep us from returning to the resort. We had weak cell service (Verizon) and with basically no wifi we had such a hard time using our phones even for local things - checking restaurant websites, making reservations - not to mention a flight cancellation emergency.

We also thought the mattresses were too firm, but I had seen this in other reviews so was kind of expecting it. Also, the bathrooms all vent to the hallway so you hear a lot of noise from other rooms - tv’s at night, people talking, taking showers. It does help a bit to keep your bathroom door closed.

I really wanted to love this place as the staff and location are so great, but unfortunately I think we will find a new place to stay next time.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Rooms were clean with comfy beds. Restaurant on site. Clean/well maintained pool and hot tub with plenty of tables and lounges and a beautiful view of the water. Easy walk over the bridge to the water for relaxing or snorkeling. Shopping within walking distance. We had a family of 12 with 6 rooms, we all had a great experience staying at the Casa Del Mar.

Room was basic but sufficient except for the quality and consistent of wifi (constantly disconnected and when I could connect, it was very slow). Staff was also quite unfriendly (and at times, quite ornery) and often not helpful. Convenient location to dive shop I used (I did not use dive shop at resort because Gabriela was very unhelpful and slow to respond ... their loss for losing business when their staff has so much attitude).

Staff was not friendly! Acted like we were bothering them. From the room, called down to front desk for a blanket as there was only a sheet on the bed, no comforter. No one answered. Subsequently, walked down to front desk to get one, where there was person sitting there, and was told I had to wait until the next day for a blanket. Dumfounded, I asked again for a blanket and the man begrudging got up and retrieved one. Nothing more than pure laziness! Beds are very hard, like sleeping on plywood. Staff did not give us any details about the amenities included in our stay or even available at the resort. Thankfully, I read up on my own and learned of the private beach club we had access to down the road as it was very nice. Food at the restaurant was sub-par and when I inquired about adding shrimp to my pasta instead of chicken, I was again told NO! No way they could add a few shrimp to it despite me offering to pay extra for it. I would not stay here again.

Unfortunately, our stay at Casa del Mar Cozumel was very disappointing and did not match what was advertised.

The balcony felt unsafe, which was especially concerning since I was traveling with children. This made it difficult to feel comfortable or relaxed during our stay.

The food quality was very poor, with limited options and meals that were consistently disappointing, forcing us to eat elsewhere most days.

Although the listing advertises beach club access, the beach is not on-site and requires about a 20-minute trip, which was very misleading.

When calling the front desk from the room, it was hit or miss whether anyone would answer, which was frustrating when assistance was needed.

The location itself is decent and not far from downtown, which is one of the few positives. Parking is limited, but there is some available.

Overall, the hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained, and the photos and description online do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone expecting convenient beach access.

We had a family stay of 7 adults. The rooms were clean, the housekeeping was great and the kitchenette was helpful. The staff was always informative and responded quickly to any issue, especially Jose! Being able to rent a taxi at the door, so close to Coco Cafe (great breakfast), and we were able to walk to town if you are up to a couple of miles. The breakfast at the hotel was solid as well. The pool was clean and relaxing, hot tub was great. We were there during a cool front with high winds but were able to snorkel for two days. Jose was incredibly informative and took the time to show us a variety of options during the cool days. Overall great vacation, would definitely stay there again.

I will mention that the pictures of the room online that were posted on Expedia were not representative of the rooms we had and our rooms were not connecting (which was fine) though they were next to each other. I thought I rented the family unit that looks like a bungalow, and that was incorrect.

We visited Cozumel to dive and snorkel and were pleased that we choose to stay at Casa del Mar. The staff are lovely - they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The hotel, while older, is a neat design and while the building could certainly benefit from a larger maintenance budget, it is by no means neglected. The room was spotless. Potable water and ice are provided in the lobby of each floor. Pool towels are available. And staff will do their best to accommodate any request. This is a spot popular with divers, and with good reason - ease of access to the water and pier are excellent (and the bridge - a source of some poor review comments- looked freshly renovated when we were there). I can see why many reviews say it only makes sense to stay here if you dive - there are clearly more modern and luxurious options elsewhere for those who don't dive and won't appreciate the many benefit Casa del Mar has for divers. We loved the pool and hot tub - guests really mingle at the hot tub and we made many good acquaintances over drinks in the hot tub at the end of our dive. The restaurant is such a cool building, and service is outstanding, but unfortunately, the food was poor enough that ate elsewhere unless we just didn't have time to go out.

3rd stay here. Great, interesting location. We were assigned a room that needed update. Bathroom mirror and sink in poor condition. Electrical outlets almost unusable as items won't stay plugged in. Some switches don't work. Tv remote doesn't work. No mini fridge. Some of the wood closet door slats broken. Room.215 needs a refresh! Pluses; very clean (room was attended to daily) very quiet, plenty of hot water & great water pressure, excellent mattresses, cold & quiet a/c. Friendly staff. Shared beach club really not a deal or perk any longer at a $5 discount off $45 day pass rate. Drinks are always very very weak at main hotel pool swim up bar. Pool always clean though. This is a good place but could use a refresh of some areas. Just be sure you get an updated room.. Grounds & gardens very nice and well maintained.

Our group had two rooms- the garden cabana and a “deluxe ocean view”. We specifically booked a room with a kitchenette because one of our party members has severe food allergies only to find that the kitchenette had absolutely no cooking utensils and as such was not usable. That felt like false advertising. I tried to contact the hotel for months to modify our reservation (within the confines of their policy), but I didn’t hear back from them. When I tried to discuss the issue upon arrival, the staff was extremely rude. They made me wait in the lobby for 90 minutes only to inform me that the sum taffy I needed to speak with actually wasn’t there. One of the beds in the cabana really wasn’t a bed. That is mentioned on their description, but I didn’t expect it to be so uncomfortable. Sometimes there was hot water, often there was not. The beds in our “deluxe ocean view” rooms were hanging off the platform by about ten inches (photo) so it was very easy to accidentally roll off. Lastly, the restaurant tried to shortchange us by $10. It felt very intentional. To get into San Miguel, it was a ten dollar cab each way. I would never go back to this place; I’m surprised it has decent reviews. It felt like a complete waste of money…

The only downside was that the 'free' Nachi Como Beach Club access was a $20± cab ride away, $40+ round-trip, and only open from 12:30pm to 4pm most of the time we were there.

The staff was good very accommodating in some ways. We were disappointed with the room it was dirty in appearance and feeling. I was told it was the standard room because we booked through Expedia. The bed in linens were terrible looking and smelled. I advise the desk staff of the issues with the bed linens it was to be addressed the only thing that was done the lines were sprayed and turned around the tattered ends at the top of bed were now at the foot of the bed. We had no TV the first night. I scheduled a family activity through the concierge on 12/28 for pick up at 12:30pm and was told the activity rep would arrive the hotel at 12pm to be paid and did not show until 12:10pm. I paid. After i paid the rep the pick up departed with out us at 12:15pm. Leaving us with no familtly activity for the day. It was just a situation with property and poor communication and follow through.

Staff is awesome, clean excellent, food is good but the menu needs to expand their choices is very limited, wifi is not very good in the bedrooms, is that is a common complaint on all platforms, so I knew it before I went there, if you really need wifi to work or something else, it is not a good idea ti stay there. Showers good but toilet pressure not, same complaint around platforms. The reservations departments do charge you the first night before arrival even yo take the option of paying at the hotel, they claim is the cancellation policy even though you have not cancelled and obviously it was not a no show because I was at the hotel, so the charge took me bu surprise. They definitely need to clarify that in their policies.

The beds were a bit hard and the beach club part was a bit misleading; we could go over the bridge to seaside where the dive shop operates but the beach club and seaside pool was for additional money and adults only, which would have been nice to know when booking for a family. We enjoyed the main pool and being able to walk over check out the sea each day. It's a very busy hotel zone during the day but quiets down in the evening. Overall we had a good experience and enjoyed the clean room and safe parking as we rented scooters for a few days to explore the island.

2 Dudes Diving and 1 freezing cold room

Myself and one other buddy stayed 4 day weekend 4sept2025 to 7sept2025 on a diving trip. We arrived around 1500 and had a evening/night dive we had to be at for 1700 and had a few things we needed to take care of before heading that way and were not sure we were going to have enough time. But the guys at the front desk help us with everything. checked in, in literally 5 minutes, we wanted to go somewhere to rent scooters we used before but was 20 min up the road really didnt have the time, he said he had a guy that would deliver to us in 15 min with good price. The scooter ended up being delivered in 10 min and daily price was better than expected and scooters were excellent condition.
The hotel has some age to it, but very well maintained and loved all the wood features. You can tell the manager takes pride in appearance. We got 2nd floor 2 full size beds balcony with garden view. We did not spend much time in the room at all we were on the go the whole trip, so all you can pray for at an older hotel such as this is a good AC, we ended up having an AC unit that must have been pulling air from antartica, It froze us out in a good way. So I give it five stars just for that. The mattresses could have been a little more comfortable but we were so tired it didnt matter. Sheet very clean changed daily, room cleaned very well, bathroom no issues. For the price, location, cleanliness, staff it is hard to beat. Also added on breakfast, its worth it, opens at 0700. good vibes

This property is old and the process of doing upgrades, but the bathrooms are open window to outside, windows do not close, so you have to close the bathroom door to keep the mosquitos out.

There were 2 bugs in my bed, so I requested a new room. Tue next room was cleaner and no bugs in between the sheets this time.

They said the would take the resort fees off of my bill… but they said upon checkout that they needed my card to fix a mistake on my bill and they added the resort fees to my bill last minute.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the food at their restaurant was too pricey for the quality. The hot tub was not hot, but the jets worked.

I recently stayed at Casa del Mar Cozumel Hotel & Dive Resort with Beach Club access included, booking confirmation Confirmation #: EXP-2250693488
. The listing promised access to a beach club, which was a major reason for my booking. However, the bridge to the beach is under construction, and access was completely blocked.

This was not disclosed beforehand, and I feel this significantly affected my stay. I’m requesting a full refund due to the missing amenity.

Please let me know the next steps. I can provide photos if needed.

Check-in at Casa Del Mar was smooth and friendly—but no one provided any information about the property. I wasn’t told about breakfast, the beach across the street, towel locations, or how to navigate with the nearby bridge closure.

The bar area lacked atmosphere—outdated TVs playing soccer and no music. It felt uninviting. A simple switch to Caribbean music and something like cucumber water in the lobby would go a long way.

The menu also needs updating. It looks like something from a high school cafeteria and doesn’t reflect the quality of the food. I’ve stayed here before and know the food is good—the menu just doesn’t do it justice.

That said, the room was clean and comfortable, the elevator is a great addition, and there’s plenty of parking. Casa Del Mar is close to being a standout, but it needs better communication, ambiance, and presentation to match similar hotels like Blue Angel or B Unique.

Comfortable, clean and convenient. The pool area was nice and the little \"beach\" area had shade, another little pool, and a safe snorkeling area. The air conditioning was a blessing. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also rented a car from the hotel which was very convenient and easy.

Would like to be able to go to the beach before 12:30. That is a wasted day when I have to wait until after noon. Also had to pay $200-$300 dollars to enter a different beach resort and not get compensated for it. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Couldn't quite see the sunsets from our balcony because of trees, but great sunsets from the pool deck and private beach across the street. Yes the building is getting on, but so am I. Plenty of parking for our scooter, and close to most of the beach clubs.
