No complaints with our stay for 2 weeks. The room fit our needs with a wonderful view of the water. The pool deck area is comfortable with lots of options for lounging around the pool. It has an upscale feel to the whole pool area. The wait staff bringing beverages and food (tasty - although more expensive than in San Miguel, but fair for the poolside experience) are attentive and friendly. Snorkeling at the hotel is terrific … almost as good as the snorkeling tour we did. I think it is worth mentioning too that we had no issues with sea grass here given the location of the hotel doesn’t appear to see this issue like other parts of the island and the mainland. Special mention goes to David and Marco who are super helpful in the lobby with local knowledge of tours, food, shopping and general ideas for exploring the island. It is possible to walk into San Miguel (3 kms) and taxis are always easy to catch at the hotel and in town. Back for a day to Canadian snow and ice … missing Cozumel and the Hotel B Unique hospitality.

Good size room, clean and modern with a great view of the ocean. 5 min taxi down to the town. Snorkelling and diving gear available from the hotel.
The biggest gripe was the very Americanised approach to tipping. Staff seemed to expect a 15% tip minimum for doing the bare minimum, despite service always being slow. Even for the included breakfast, they made a point every day of telling you that the tip is not included. Breakfasts were disappointing, fruit was always just melon and papaya, never a variety. Eggs were always cold, even though they cook them to order? We never tipped at breakfast, and it felt evident that we were treated differently to people who did. I.e. we were often forgotten about, and didn't always receive things like toast or (watered down) juice which was supposed to be included. Unfortunately, I wouldn't actively recommend this hotel.

This little property is so nice. Service was outstanding and the location is awesome. Sitting right in the Caribbean Sea. You can jump off the rock right into the water. Rooms are nice and very clean. The only drawback is the breakfast buffet is marginal.

Great view and shaded balcony. Everything was great and deserved 5 stars until the day before last when our room lock no longer locked the room. Terrible feeling to have our room open while we were out. We wasted hours while they tried to repair but couldn’t. We are still waiting for a credit for one night on my credit card. Furthermore they did not give the $40 food/drinks credit promised when we booked. Will keep you posted if they make it right.

We absolutely adore this property! We visit this location a lot with our adult children, and it consistently ranks as the best place on the island. While I won’t disclose the names of any hotels, we’ve stayed at all the major ones and keep returning to this particular hotel. During our last stay in July, my daughter’s 21st birthday was celebrated, and they went above and beyond to plan the most extraordinary day. We embarked on a yacht adventure and indulged in the most delectable birthday cake we’ve ever had! If you have the opportunity, don’t miss out on the chance to stay at this fantastic place!

The overall experience was ok but it wasn’t amazing I guess based on the price is worth it but rooms need some maintenance the bathroom floor looked like on construction like I said maybe that’s how hotels look like in cozumel but this is just me comparing to others I have stayed before the staff was friendly even though I had a charge at the end of the stay that definitely didn’t recognize but then again I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt the walls from the outside look very musty but for a hotel near the ocean probably that’s how it will look even if they paint it every week .. the staff was very friendly the cleaning crew amazing the hotel was pretty clean the breakfast was very small coming from
Texas I guess we have to adjust on portions outside of the country lol the front desk people were the only staff members that aren’t as nice 2 of them looked like they had an attitude but maybe they were tired who knows ..

The gals in the spa were so delightful, but if you are a spa goer on the regular you will probably be disappointed. It didn't really have a spa feel and was super small- I did kind of expect more for a wellness resort.

The views were absolutely breathtaking! The people were so hospitable and welcoming. Our room was ready on time and was clean, spacious and had great a/c. The balcony became my favorite way to start the morning with a cup of coffee and a book! We did some snorkeling off the property and it was ok. Fun to do but you’ll get much better snorkeling on some of the tours and what not off shore. The breakfast was yummy and dinner and lunch were fresh, healthy and very tasty! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the oceanfront room, the ocean view was awesome! The bed was firm and comfortable. Room had a nice layout, it was nice, clean and spacious. The cleaning staff did a great job keeping it tidy and clean. Hot buffet breakfast is included and loved that they offered a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables every morning. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Room can use more drawers and towel bars/hooks. It would be nice to have lounge chairs in the oceanfront balcony instead of regular chairs. We stayed for a week and would definitely come back in the future!

Each year, I spend one month in Cozumel to visit my daughter. It was my first time in Hotel B Unique. During two full days, there was an event organized by Body Talks Women. It happened to be a very invasive and noisy meeting gathering around 100 yelling women, with loud speeches all day long. All the people who wished to spend their vacation in a quiet and peaceful environment were upset and complained about the occurence of that meeting. It is unfortunate, the service was excellent. But if the management of that hotel prefers to go in that direction, I will not return to that hotel, not knowing if my sojourn will coincide with this kind of event.

Enjoyed a very relaxing 7 night stay at this 44-room hotel with my husband in early January starting with the warm welcome from Marco when we first arrived.

Our vacation was dedicated to resting, reading and relaxing and Hotel B is the perfect place to be as active as you wish (e.g., snorkelling) or to just go slow.

We recommend booking a room with a balcony to watch the sunrise or sunset over the ocean.

Shout out to more amazing staff: the lovely and hardworking Claudia from the restaurant who brought our made to order breakfast each morning and launched our day on a positive note; the very knowledgeable David from the front desk; and the amazing Vicky from the spa who gave my husband and I a soothing hot stone massage - please treat yourself to a massage from Vicky to get you in the zen zone.

My husband and I are contemplating travelling to Cozumel each January and staying at Hotel B as a way to launch the new year on a blissful note.

Mixed feelings about Hotel B

Mixed experience at Hotel B Unique. The good things are:
- Well appointed rooms with great sea view. Very nice desk.
- Excellent access to the water for snorkelling (safe and easy to use).
- Nice facilities.
The limitations:
- Pretty poor food (same breakfast every day)
- No black tea (so if you're a tea drinker, bring your own)
- No means of boiling water in your room (the coffee maker only makes luke warm water) - we ended up buying a kettle from the supermarket
- Loud music much of the day that you can't escape (though doesn't go late into the evening).

Nice upmarket hotel with very nice rooms. Bit let down by management. Did not honour the flexible reservation and allow the change of duration of one of the two rooms we booked well before we arrived. Included breakfast restrictive, omelet allowed but no poached eggs, certain juices etc. No proper tea options (only camomille and green tea), no butter one day, proper coffee was an extra etc. Service in restaurant slow and we left one day without breakfast as nothing was produced in 30 minutes although we told them we were in a hurry to go to an excursion.Overall nice but could do with certain improvements.

El hotel está bonito el area de la alberca del B Unique, que viene dando lo mismo que el hotel B porque se comparten algunas áreas comunes. En lo personal, dejó mucho que desear, la cocina es muy lenta, el desayuno le faltaba mucha sal. La alberca esta HELADA a cualquier hora y el jacuzzi no servía. Si se hospedan aquí renten con vista al mar, si no, no vale la pena.

READ BEFORE BOOKING.
This is the 3rd time we've stayed here. and we are staying in hotels typically one week out of every month.
The hotel is beautiful with the pool, the ocean, and the views from the balcony.
The food Is INCREDIBLE...

HOWEVER... every time we've come here, the service is so incredibly slow, i mean... incredibly SLOW.
We ordered sushi, which arrived after 45 minutes and was not fully cooked, and then 75 minutes later arrived and was wonderful.

Again the food is good. But nothing you can do will speed up the service, NOTHING.
It is also almost impossible to get anyone's attention when you wish to order a drink or food from the pool.

The restaurant, hotel and pool was empty when we stayed for this past 3 days and even then, the service is beyond slow.

We go to cozumel often, and I think as much I hope the service will improve, so that we can enjoy the food and the ocean next time, I think we will have to find somewhere else to stay next time.

Water just completely shut off during mid shower. They didn’t offer much apologies or resolution,
In the restaurant, no AC, super humid with plenty of flies on expose food and mosquitos. Super slow service and not friendly or happy waiters.
Water was unclean- got travelers diarrhea on day 3 out of 9 days stay. Management was a ghost- refuse to let us cancel our reservation. Would not recommend!!!! Is not ViP or 5 star. I’ve stay in 3 star hotels and they were so much better.

We got bait and switch for first two nights for a lesser value hotel with difference of 1000 peso a night. When ask, they didn’t know what to say or do. Complete guessing game. Zero transparency. Witnessed that they did it to another couple. This hotel is a disaster.

You have to literally ask for the fins cause the current is way too strong. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Everything was great. We would come back again.

The location is INCREDIBLE - makes this booking worthwhile ! The amenities are so lovely - but I would only ever stay in Hotel B Unique, not the Hotel B side. The breakfast is weird and not super satisfying, and the dinner is mainly Thai food. Lunch was pricey but very good service and convenient. We ended up eating dinner in town every night (taxis were 100 pesos one way) and brought our own drinks to the hotel.

The snorkeling here is comprable to the tours you will (and should) take. Overall, I would book again, but maybe be hesitant because of the food options.

Everything about the resort was great with one major exception.
It is not an adults only resort, it’s two separate sides of one me hotel. One side is supposed to be adults only but the bleed over is immense. Kids crying at night, kids in the pool hot tub and restaurant.
The staff is super and we stayed through a hurricane and the resort was excellent in the way they handled everything
We were able to sleep through most of Beryl.
Hated not giving a 5th star. But if I was a “adults only person” I would have been upset.

WOW! Spectacular Views of the ocean from EVERY Room & Vantage Point, right up to the property. Literally, from the moment you walk up the steps to the open-air lobby/front desk, the stunning views just make you feel so grateful and blessed! While there is no sandy beach here, you can still jump right into the crystal clear ocean water and swim/snorkle w/beautiful sea life and climb a ladder right back up to the hot tub/pool/property.

Every stunning/ultra modern designed room has a beautiful view w/a nice sized private balcony w/2 chairs a gorgeous petrified wood table and a hammock... although at 6'3\" 260, it was only big enough for 1 person, but smaller couples could probably fit. I loved the restaurant & the infinity pool, as well. The staff are so friendly and prompt, most of the time... we definitely did NOT want to leave!

Hotel B Unique is a beautiful hotel. We celebrated our 1yr anniversary/mini moon there. They can use a new Chef in the kitchen the food was very mediocre and over priced for the quality and taste. The staff was very nice for the most part, we had two incidents at breakfast where it was hard to get a waiter even though it was not crowded. The first day we got there something happened with the plumbing and we were without water for 20 to 30 minutes. Overall we still had an amazing time celebrating our 1yr anniversary, the ocean view room is amazing they gave us a cute welcome note with chocolate covered strawberries. We would stay again.

Property was very nice. We had an ocean facing view and it is only about 70 feet to the ocean. Felt like we are on a cruise ship looking out to the water it was so close.. beautiful. Property was clean and quite quiet. Staff was very helpful, especially front desk and Marco. Snorkeling off resort was quite good with lots of varieties of fish as well as a nice manta-ray, blow fish, colorful fish. I would recommend this place for sure . Was great !

The pools were so lovely and the snorkling out in front of the hotel was better than the snorkling we did on an excursion. The staff were all so kind and made excellent suggestions for local restaurants to dine at. The food at breakfast was delicious and the dinner we had there was also top notch. Although we did not participate in the daily yoga the classes looked so relaxing. Pool drinks and food service were awesome! The guac and the chicken nachos were to die for. We would most definitely come back to Hotel B Unique and recommend it to anyone. It's far enough out of the city of Cozumel but our daily morning walk to town was perfect.

We stayed a week and the property has stunning views and the staff are great especially Daniel and David so helpful.The rooms are very clean and comfortable the bed was amazing and very quiet at night.
Cons : the fan in our room did not work , the jungle view room is great for the morning sunshine but the road is noisy . They advertised as an adult only Hotel but there were children everywhere!! There is a connecting hotel that allows children so they get to use the second pool in front of that hotel but they are basically in all the areas .
Overall would definitely go back just not any time near spring break.

Unique hotel in the North Zone.

We stayed at Hotel B several years ago and now prefer Hotel B Unique. While there are still issues with hot water and AC, the difficulties are less at B Unique. The sun area and ocean access are nice as is the pool. The restaurant menu tends Asian. The town is a quick taxi away and we’ve found a few taco spots where the food is cheap and delicious.

Excellent views, great location. Very clean , polite staff. Negatives: no lights in entry of room by closet and coffee machine. The wood chairs on concrete floor were extremely loud when moved. A set of pads on legs would fix this. Some street noise.

This property was absolutely gorgeous. My room was simple but had everything I needed and I was very comfortable there. The amenities are absolutely amazing and the staff was great. Food/drinks were also wonderful. You won’t ever want to leave!

Totally loved the seaside views all day out the floor to ceiling sliding doors. The views could not have been better! The rooms are modern and cozy and super clean. Front desk service is amazing, from start to finish.

Amazing massage, decent food, and poolside chill and bar/food service was superior. Try the nachos poolside! We knew there wasn't a beach here but the beach clubs south of the resort make up for that.

This hotel is just for a day or two in needed of all the all-inclusive resort are fully booked. I don’t recommend for younger generations. They say adults only but I have seen some kids are playing around in day time. Area is good but service and food is bad. Expensive then USA and Canada that’s for sure.

Adults \"only\" except for all the children that were there the same time as us.

Fabulous View and Chill Central

This hotel is quiet and quaint and in a good location not too close or too far north of the cruise ship pier. The view toward the ocean is incredible as the sea is turquoise and azul in colour and alive!
We hoped to snorkel, but it was too rough to do so during our stay. The endless-style pool was perfect to cool down and swim a few laps. We enjoyed relaxing on daybeds and watching the water.
Each night we watched the sunset from our balcony and saw several cruise ships leave and head north past us.
Breakfast was include-continental- and it was delicious. We had an option for room service as well. Lunch, especially recommended burger and club sandwich were very good sized portions (huge) and came with fries.
The dinners on the other hand were disappointing as they tried to mix Asia and Mayan style cooking, but it didn’t seem to work out well. Would suggest go to town to one of many other restaurants.

We haven’t stayed in every property on Cozumel island, but I can all but guarantee this is the BEST property on Cozumel island save a multimillion dollar mansion. Do not stay at one of the outdated all-inclusive hotels and waste your money. Stay here and spend what you would have at other international properties on excursions and spa treatments. They need to showcase the food here more, as a chef it is in my opinion DIVINE in its conception and execution. The staff can be timid and respectful, but bellman David stands out as a real character, with his comedic personality and Mayan charm. The property is every bit as nice as the stunning photographs here within.
