Simple but comfortable hotel with gated security and excellent front desk service and good breakfast. Very convenient for Rotterdam and The Hague, though a car is essential. Vlaardingen waterfront (a 30 min walk and with good parking) is a very pleasant spot for a drink or a meal.

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The food was really tasty, and the chef made some nice meals while I was there.
Unfortunately this is not a place for a businessman like myself. The rooms were very old; and the window doesn't even have a black-out curtain, just a net curtain; so when another guest was stood having a cigarette on the balcony in front of my room, I could see him and he could even see me laid in my bed. Also the stairs to the rooms are not lit up; so very dangerous going up and down the stairs to my room.
In summary a motel ok for local workers; not for a business trip.

It is a lovely that is most definitely value-for-money. The room was secure, clean, and tidy, with complementary tea & coffee available. The lounge and bar area was also nice. I think the €11.50 for the buffet breakfast might be a bit pricey, considering what is available to you: bacon, scrambled egg, boiled egg, and your standard continental breakfast of cold meats, breads & croissants, and refillable drinks. So maybe a greater variety of hot and cooked food might improve this; but don't get me wrong, the food was still nice. My final comment is to the polite and welcoming staff at the hotel, who were happy to give us advice on the local area, and to just provide a great service to their customers. They were more than catering to the needs of our large party, and worked very hard to do so.

Just needed clean simple accomodation for visiting friends and family in Rotterdam. We also needed easy access to the motorway network. This hotel provided both. The staff were particularly helpful and smiling at all times. Thank you.

I had planned a touring holiday with a female friend and had specified we needed a room with 2 single beds. When we arrived early evening recently we were told there was only one room left and this had a double bed. We were informed that our request for separate beds could not be guaranteed - it was only a preference. I will be complaining directly to Campanile now that we have returned home; it is highly unlikely I will ever book with this company again. I have never arrived at any hotel and been refused the room type I had booked online. If this is Campanile company policy it is disgraceful, and I am surprised they have managed to stay in business.
We never got further than reception, but the online report has forced me to select a rating for rooms that we never saw. The woman on reception did get us a twin rooom with single beds at a nearby Campanile in Rotterdam.

This hotel suited us as we were visiting our daughter who lives just round the corner. Rooms are small but comfortable. No fridge but that is common in Europe. Nothing flash, but value for money.

The staff and the food in the restaurant was very good. The items that were unusual and somewhat disappointing for us were: no fridge in the room, the space for your clothing was in the bathroom and therefore getting damp when taking a shower. Also there was no rack for storing your suitcases and finally there was no seating to relax.

We use this hotel when visiting family in the local area. Although the rooms are small they are clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and we can access BBC TV. We stayed here when visiting some friends, it was only 10 mins from their house so good location in that sense. Taxi to Rotterdam train station was €25 and we were quoted €100 to schiphol, so just be wary of that.

I stayed here a few times now. The evening staff could do a lot better and learn the hotel's computer systems, be less grumpy and more helpful. The morning staff was delightful. If you want to stay at a Campanile near Rotterdam and be treated nicely at check-in, better choose the Campanile Rotterdam Oost.

We booked this hotel when going to the North Sea Jazz Festival. The hotel (should say motel) is very basic - a bed and a toilet. The facilities are old but clean and the staff is really nice and helpful. It's a good place to lay your head at night but you won't want to spend much time there. The major problem is that it's not close to anything. If you don't have a car, it's difficult to get to and get from. 25 EUR from Rotterdam central by taxi and 40 EUR to the Ahoy. it's a 20 minute walk to the train and 25 minutes to the metro. There's a 10 minute walk just to get to the nearest bus stop. It's just not convenient if you don't have a car.

It definitely wasn't a 3* hotel. I developed a rush on my face during my stay there. I believe it was the bed sheets. I know it couldn't have been the water or the food as I have been in the Netherlands before and the only thing different from before, was the hotel. So, thumbs down from me.

Reden voor de 3 sterren is het aanzienlijke aantal arbeidsmigranten wat in het hotel bivakkeert en echt voor geluidsoverlast gedurende de nacht zorgt. Voor mij is dat de hoofdreden om volgende keer ergens anders te verblijven.

You get what you pay for. Beds are good. Clean rooms. Nice rustic traditional Dutch food in restaurant in evenings. Mornings I skip breakfast at hotel because it's not so tasty.
Overall good and comfortable - if you don't expect a Sheraton (which costs 3 times more).

Trappenhuis was niet schoon, er is geen lift zodat je met je zware koffer de trap op moet schouwen, 1e verd.is niet toegankelijk voor gehandicapten, lampje op tafel was stuk, peertje bij het bed was weg! Vitrage zat los, je moest je koffer of tas op de grond of op de stoel zetten waardoor je niet kon zitten. Eten was eenvoudig (in het weekend broodje hamburger, douchestang zat los de douche kop kon je niet op hoogte stellen.

Negativo: pequeno almoço, sem muita opção, a hora em que eu fazia a refeição (pequeno almoço) a funcionária estava preparando o bacon, (06:30) da manhã, faltou opção de frutas, quando não faltava as próprias, mei check-out foi 1 dia antes do previsto, e qual foi minha surpresa que já tinham debitado o valor no meu cartão de crédito, sendo que na hora da reserva diziam que não debitariam, enfim p esquecer , não recomendo nem o hotel, e nem a empresa responsável pela reserva. Het hele hotel is oud. Maar het is wel schoon. De incheck was snel maar ze hadden mijn credicard gegevens gebruikt terwijl ik contant zou betalen. Het vertrouwen is daarmee dus weg om mijn creditcard gegevens ooit nog te geven. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd maar het gesprek van het personeel was zo luid dat wij moesten stoppen met praten. Een dame vertelde over haar rijlessen. Dat hoef ik niet te horen tijdens mijn ontbijt.
Kortom is dit geen hotel om aan te raden, maar nog meer om alles wat er omheen gebeurt dan om het hotel zelf.

Zodra het donker wordt moet je de rolluik naar beneden doen, wil je een beetje privacy. Hierdoor wordt het het heel benauwd in de kamer. Geen gordijnen! Niet prettig. Bed was wel lekker hard. Veel last van blaffende honden. Ontbijt was matig. Weinig keuze aan brood en beleg. Bijna geen fruit beschikbaar. Voor dezelfde prijs kan je bij een ander hotel meer variatie krijgen.
