Disappointing Pool Experience

Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by issues with the pool facilities. The main pool was completely out of service all day Saturday due to a chemical spill, which was very disappointing since one of the reasons we chose this hotel was to enjoy the pool amenities.

When the pool reopened on Sunday, the water was still not clear and did not appear to have been properly treated or cleaned. There was also a noticeable shortage of towels throughout the pool area, making the experience even less enjoyable.

We understand that unexpected situations can happen, but the condition of the pool and the lack of communication and amenities made it feel as though the issue was not handled adequately. We hope the hotel improves its pool maintenance and guest communication in the future.

LOVED IT. We will be back. Used to go to a different place. I wish there was more options for food. Restaurant was fine for resort / pool, but limited menu and no other options. Feels like you could do really well with a little coffee shop on site. Overall great family experience. The villa’s are awesome!!!

The house was huge , clean and beautifully designed. The kids loved it so much they did not want to leave the pool. Their kids room was designed with a theme and games. Their kings bedrooms were like upscale hotel suites. Everyone slept like babies! 10/10 we all recommend , we will definitely be back again.

Our family of 6 just checked out of Villatel Orlando, and we honestly wish we could have stayed longer! From the moment we arrived, everything was easy and stress-free. The check-in process was simple, the villa was spotless, and the amenities were fantastic for both adults and kids.

The property was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. It truly felt like a home away from home. We made some wonderful family memories here and are already talking about our next visit.

We will definitely be back and highly recommend Villatel Orlando to anyone visiting the area!

This was my family’s first time in Orlando and we had a ball. When we pulled up to the property the gentleman at the front was VERY HELPFUL!!! The property was very clean and maintained. Once we got to our villa we were beyond impressed. The place was so clean and spacious!!! Perfect for smaller families. My niece enjoyed her room with the slide. She pretty much used it all night. We ventured over to the onsite waterpark played there for hours. The slides were fast and the pools were warm. The food from the bar was AMAZING!!! This place really didn’t miss anything. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Will be back for more fun!!!!!

We loved our stay here.
So convenient to rent a villa with resort amenities!!
Property is fairly new so it is in good condition.

Minor thing to note- kitchen includes non stick pots and pans that were pretty scraped up.
We ended up buying a cheap pot and pan for our own use.
Also, Parking is almost $40 a day!

Otherwise it was great. Even had friends over for the day, we just paid for the additional car parking.

My family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children) stayed at the Villa for my daughter’s 5th birthday. The front desk staff were all polite and helpful with answering questions we had about the resort and transportation. The house was clean and well maintained. The arcade themed bedroom for the children and the personal jetted pool was the cherry on top. The community amenities including the water slides, splash pad, and outdoor playground on the grounds made the stay even more enjoyable outside of our visit to Disney park which was just a 22/25minute ride away. My only “complaint” which is really a complaint because it’s expected was the food/drinks at the onsite bar and grill were pricey but again expected being on a resort. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again on our next Disney trip.

Overall, I had a great experience during my stay. The location was convenient, the accommodations were clean and comfortable, The only issues we encountered were that one of the bathrooms had plumbing problems during our stay, and the pool in the back of the villa was colder than expected. It would have been nice if the pool were kept warmer without requiring an additional fee. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this property to other travelers.

Very nice resort, kids loved the waterpark and lazy river. The Grand Pool was nice to relax. The lone restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, breakfast especially. Nice basketball court and play area for kids to burn off energy. Jackson’s Jewel (the villa we stayed at) was very clean and beds are super comfortable. Ordered in grocery deliveries no problem. Very nice place to stay.

Really enjoyed our stay …truly a 10/10 experience. It was close to everything, which made getting around super convenient. The water park was a great bonus, but honestly the best part was how close it was to all the attractions.

The mini villas were beautifully decorated, cozy, and so comfortable that I ended up oversleeping every day. Definitely a place I’d come back to again. 100% Recommend.

We loved having the amenities for three generations of my family under one roof. The property was clean, modern, and spacious, and my kids loved having our own private pool in the backyard. Our only gripe would be the limited buses that go to the parks, but you can easily grab a rideshare on your own schedule as well. I’d highly recommend for a large party if you’re not as focused on getting to the parks for a rope drop!

Everything was fine. The only thing some of the outlets in the house werent working. The chrckout time should be standard ar 11/12 am /pm. Leaving at 10am we had to rush out. The kitchen was well stacked and the house was well prepared. Other thank that, it was a noce stay

Plenty of activities, close to stores and restaurants. Excellent for families. I had only one issue. The enforcement of parking. Rules are in place for a reason. Parking is for the most part in front of your villa. I had an issue where I called security to request for the next door villa to move their vehicle due to inconvenience of parking in my assigned spot. You pay to park 37.00 a day. So I had to park around the corner away from my villa and make 3 to 4 trips to unload my vehicle. I asked if they would refund my parking for that day. But no response from Villatel. And the parking company metropolis stated “ they are were not aware of any parking assignments”. So no refund. People just follow the rules and the company needs to stand by what the put in writing. Because I took a picture of the parking rules. The person should have been towed because of the rule. I’m not sure if this was a privilege thing or not because they did nothing.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay and will return.

Was not the most kid friendly house do no recommend if you have small children. Also the pictures of property online are very deceiving. Everything is much smaller in person. Slides in kids room are not very safe my child hit his head at bottom on cabinet located at bottom of slide and baseboard. Stairs are very slippery and not good for small children even while holding their hands they had very hard time. Even bought a baby gate but they do not fit stairwells they are to wide. Biggest issue was when I expressed to the staff at water park that I was very uncomfortable when I walked out of a bathroom stall and there was a male staff member cleaning the toilet in front of me staring at me. There was no sign stating cleaning in process and the bathroom was full of little girls and mothers. I understand if it was a female staff cleaning while we were all in there but not an older adult male staring at everyone. I told the pool staff it was not appropriate in a women’s room with children in it and the where extremely rude and a said kids should not be in women’s room alone. I told them I was uncomfortable as an adult. I went to front desk and expressed how rude the pool staff was about it to me and they to told me well in other countries this wouldn’t be an issue and told me that’s how it is there. I was shocked how I was spoken to after I was being extremely nice about it to everyone and said nothing harsh about situation except that I was extremely uncomfortable.

The villa was clean. Limited items in the kitchen and the bunk room got shot hot that the top bunks were unusable multiple nights. The AC is set to 70 and the bunks block the vents. Called in to the number and didn't always reach a person so had to wait until the next day. Lots of charges for things- parking, pickle ball, etc. Our villa was very far from the pool. Easy to get around and close to things.

In the past we have stayed on campus at Universal Studios which was super convenient with transportation and eateries within walking distance and very nice accommodations however booking two rooms for a party of six in decent sized rooms was very very expensive. At Villatel you don't have the onsite convenience however the experience is soooo much better especially for a longer stay and with larger parties. The house we stayed in was exceptional with the only major complaint being that the sliding glass door to the pool did not lock properly. We called Guest Services and the first time someone came out promptly and showed us the procedure to lock the door properly which appeared to work but after the person left we just tugged on the door a little harder and it just opened right up. I called again for someone to fix it but no one showed up that I could tell so we lived with the insecure sliding door for the entire length of our stay. We had to pay separately to heat the pool and for daily parking. These extra charges were annoying. It was definitely worth it to heat the pool especially since the hot tub does not work unless the pool is heated since water and heat is diverted to the hot tub once its been turned on. The pool was great. It had a basketball hoop so even though it was a small pool we had a lot of fun. It was great using the gas grill. It had a full tank of propane and was easy to use and a very good cooker. We plan to book at Villatel for our next trip.

The property is new so everything was new and clean. The property has a great location, close to Universal and not far from Disney and Disney Springs. I liked that it had a restaurant on site that was quick to get your food or bar items. Like the all the options for the kids to do during the day, basketball tournaments, slime making etc. we didn't have to keep them entertained all day.

Most things about this villa were great - beds comfortable, room had all these perks - giant scrabble, poker, video games, lots of spaces. The pool and hot tub were great. However, for the price point I found the property nickles and dimes - only two dishwasher tabs, no cutting boards, only two coffee pods, no salt or pepper or anything really for basic cooking that I would have expected. Not even a wine glass. No body lotion. And the worst was the $25 charge to heat the hot tub - it felt like a deception to me given I got a larger villa to get the hot tub and then was told the hot tub wouldn’t be hot unless I paid more? Well then don’t advertise that it is a hot tub - just a plunge pool that can be heated for an extra charge. Frankly a bit disappointing and soured the experience a bit. I could have managed the rest if that hadn’t have occurred

This place was amazing Best bang for the buck. I can’t believe we got basically an entire house with a little back patio pool for less than our stay in Hawaii and less than any Disney hotels. I would say the only hiccup is it’s a little far from Disney, but there are free shuttle buses so as long as you plan accordingly it works out. I didn’t realize until we got there that the shuttles run on a very specific schedule with set times that it leaves in the morning and set times that it returns depending on which parks and where you’re going there might only be one option. If it doesn’t work out, you could always Uber, but it’s not like shuttles are moving every 20 minutes. I would completely recommend this location for a universal trip, but if you’re planning to do Disney for more than two days, you might want to consider closer -otherwise this resort is amazing and we’re already talking about wanting to come back!

Property grounds were super clean upon arrival. House was clean and had everything we needed. Coffee maker was a little tricky to figure out. The WiFi doesn’t really work. Only matters if you are trying to do work from there- may not be ideal. The staff was all so kind! I think the $36 a day for parking stinks- you should be allowed to have one car per unit. Great for families…Not idea for couples on a kid free weekend. We also never go out “complimentary” gift even when I asked about it. Communication was through the app and at times I never heard back- didn’t love that part.

We had a great time here for spring break! We have 4 young kiddos and the 4 bedroom villa was perfect (even a little oversized) for us. Having the small dip pool was amazing for the kiddos cuz they can easily jump in and out without having to do the whole waterpark experience, but then the waterpark is right around the corner! If you like renting houses, but like having the staff and amenities of a hotel this is your place! The property was in tip-top shape, we felt 100% safe, the rooms were quiet, the kids were so pumped about the kids room and having the W/D is crucial with littles. You do have to pay separately for pool heat, just a heads up. When we went to the waterpark on a hot Saturday, it was hopping and there were pretty much no chairs available so plan accordingly. There is a playground that is shaded and the kids loved that, too. Highly recommend and hope that Villatel builds more properties!!

Our 4 bedroom villa was everything and more. Fully stocked kitchen with full bbq tools. Super clean. The chair in the living room had vacuum lines. Which I love to see. Staff was beyond helpful. Everyone always said hello and smiled. We booked food, goceries and uber right to our front door. Would stay again for sure.

The resort is very nice and new, clean and gives like a Mexico resort vibe feel. Pool area was beautiful. We stayed in the villas, which were very nice. Lots of space inconvenient for our family with four bedrooms. Each room gives you lots of space. Kitchen is very nice and the little patio and little pool in the back is a nice added bonus at the end of the day. But sometimes with new properties comes minor hiccups, they’re a little short on amenities inside the townhome so you will have to get your own shampoo, conditioners, body wash, coffee, spices, and coffee filters. We had some issues inside the villa. We had a bad breaker power kept going out daily eventually on the third day they came and changed the breaker. We didn’t have an issue with that for the rest of the trip, thank God. And two of the toilets every time we flushed would keep running. It’s like it would get stuck so either we would have to adjust the flap/chain or have someone come in and fix it. Other than those hiccups it was a beautiful place. A little bit pricey for what you get amenity and service wise but hopefully the prices will come down, but overall still a great trip.
