Good staff, but the beds were terrible. The sofa bed in particuliar. We had to change room because one of the bed were brocken. But the quality was bad and very inconfortable. The other bed was ok, but you had to be carefull when you sat on it: you may fall because the bed was not equilibrated

I appreciated the upgraded room at checking to get a room closer to elevator because of disability, but I have found trash that wasn’t picked up in the bathroom. There was also a little smell in the room, most likely coming from the old building the hotel is located in.

Novotel should be ashamed of this hotel

The common areas are nice and the employees friendly, but the Clasique and Superior rooms needed an urgent refresh 20 years ago.

I simply cannot understand how this place is alowed to keep 4 stars... With the exception of the executive room, the rest are extremely dated and the bathroom condition and age was simply unacceoptable. The 1st room we got had oil on the carpet (sofa bed, we assumed) and the staff moved us to another one wich was \"ok\" but still way below the expectations. The staff confimed that all the non-executive rooms were the same.

Regarding the room, the bed was confortable and clean. TV was very small, minibar didnt work and the rest of the room (particularly the carpet) felt very old and not properly mantained or cleaned. The room smelled old.

The bathroom was clearly the worst. Absurdly dated (probably 50+ years) not well maintained and the cherry on top: the bath had a shower curtain instead of a screen.

There is basically no load/unload area, as there were cars parked there. The closest car park is relatively modern and convenient but didnt have security and in general didnt feel safe at least on a weeked day.

We stayed one night and cancelled the rest. We did not enjoy our stay nor did we use any additional services. We basicaly stayed 9 hours between checkin and out.

I would not recommend unless staying on a executive room (that is basically a standard 4* hotel room) and will absolutely not stay again.

Fantastic location 5 min. riverside walk from the very historical center. I have never seen so many open pubs and restaurants on appox. one square km and so many people enjoying their services. It was very nice to see so many happy people together especially after 18 months of covid war.

Nice clean hotel a 5-10 minute walk from the rail station/airport shuttle and 15/10 mins from the shops. It’s right on the Cité des Congrés site, which was very quiet when I stayed but I’m guessing can get quiet noisy when a show is on. The restaurant on site is a bit pricey. Buffet breakfast is excellent, great variety and lovely food. I stayed in a family room with my two children, which consisted of a king size bed and two single beds (sofa bed). The room was ok in size with a WC separate from the bathroom. Staff were polite and professional. Would use again.

Novotel Nantes Centre Gare is a hotel in a good location, about a 10 minute walk from the main shopping and restaurant area. The hotel has friendly and helpful staff who were more than happy to help us navigate the area. The hotel is also a 10 minute walk from the Nantes train station and car rental spots at an affordable price, which is why we chose to stay at this hotel. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. I would stay in Novotel Nantes Centre Gare again when visiting Nantes.

Hotel room was good and very spacious for a family of 4, reception staff were very helpful with assisting us in directions into town. Underground car park (fee payable) and right next to the metro so for €1.50 we could get a metro into town. Very easy to use. We didn’t have breakfast as it wasn’t included and seemed pricey so we went elsewhere. Good WiFi.

The hotel is near the train station, tram line and the castle, but a bit of a walk to the nice cafes and restaurants in Nantes. It's clean and comfortable, but very business-like. We booked last minute, without too many expectations, but when I saw how charming the rest of Nantes was, I found myself wishing I looked for something with more personality.

Nice hotel for a one night stay.

This is a nice hotel just for a single nights stay. We used it for a stay over on our way back from Madrid to the UK. Clean basic rooms, the sofa bed was uncomfortable, we had a room with a double and two singles, we expected the singles to be proper beds but it was a pull out sofa bed.

I guess for the £67 for a night we could not have expected sny more. The food was nice but the wine from the bar was expensive.

A pleasant & conveniently placed hotel for Nantes town centre

Very conveniently placed hotel, in a quiet spot, for a visit to Nantes. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel although it's not too far to walk either. Large, clean rooms and a good restaurant and bar. There is a public underground car park with a lift that brings you to the hotel entrance so convenient for transporting luggage. I would use this hotel again if visiting Nantes.

Depressing room and minimal facilities

The room at the Nantes Novotel was decorated in grey, with a picture of purple square on the wall. It was depressing beyond belief. The lighting was harsh and glary. The toilet was just like a grey concrete box. For two people, there was only one towel placed in the bathroom, the tea and coffee sachets were designed for choice by one person only and had nothing anyone would usually choose to drink. The hotel was much further out of the city than the description suggested and the tram was a fair walk over the bridge and a little uneasy as a walk after a meal out since there were lots of drunks and down and outs. Just don't stay there. Simple as.

My granddaughter were in Nantes for only a few day. We came in by train, and found the hotel easily. My granddaughter was not feeling well and the staff were extremely helpful finding a doctor for us, even though it was the middle of summer and most doctors were on holidays.
I would recomend the hotel to anyone.

The hotel seemed very quiet - probably why we got such a good deal. Great location just a five minutes walk along the river to the centre of town. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast very good particularly given the hotel was so quiet. The choice and service was excellent. Only small criticism was that our room was quite dark - it overlooked the inside foyer of the conference centre. Would definitely stay here again, loved Nantes. Great atmosphere. Don't miss the Machines!

We had an overnight stay here, to enable us to visit les machines and then another attraction nearby the following day.
The hotel was within easy walking distance of the tram lines, which provided easy access to the rest of the city.
The staff were lovely, and the hotel was excellent, with two single beds which pulled out from the sofa.
Breakfast was excellent.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a music festival nearby. The close location to Nantes station was perfect for us. The neighbourhood was lovely and quiet, although some may prefer to been be a little closer to the town centre, which was a short walk away.
The hotel itself was in a good condition, as were the rooms. The service we encountered was welcoming and friendly, with staff who were more than happy to speak English to accommodate my awful French!
I can't comment upon the restaurant as we never ate there.
A pleasant hotel which we would happily return to.

Great city hotel by the river

This has a great location- right near the centre, but also by the river. We had a room looking out over the river, which was lovely. We stayed as a family. The children's beds were well prepared and comfortable. The blackout blinds were superb and the windows were soundproof. The bathrooms could perhaps do with some updating, but otherwise I have no complaints at all. A high quality hotel, with excellent breakfast and communal areas, including a children's play area with books. My only gripe is that there was no parking. However, we arrived on a busy night (the funfair and a concert were on) but managed to find something very close. Strongly recommended and we would stay again.

As expected from Novotel - nothing too had but then again nothing truly fantastic. If your car is over 1.8m high you will struggle to find parking nearby. Also the wifi in the hotel can be slow. I have recently come back from a 3 day trip to nantes , nantes is a lovely place with plenty to do and see. I was extremely pleased with the hotel and staff who were very friendly and helpful. Many of the staff spoke very good english . it was an all round excellent trip and i would highly reccomend this hotel and nantes as a place to visit . the japanese gardens are certainly worth visiting ,and if you enjoy walking , it is a good walk . But the tram (tan) takes you there and you can pick up the tram outside the hotel.

Excellent hotel for an overnight stop before travelling on. Easy to find and get to from the airport and ample underground parking which was public parking but reasonably priced. Staff were superb and I only had booked one night on our inbound day as I always like to keep options open for the return if I don't like the hotel. I did book for the night on our return day and they matched the internet price when I asked. Breakfast great and its right on the edge of the old town so you can walk into the beautiful canal area of Nante in a few minutes. A good experience overall.

This is a business style hotel (modern) connected to the congress building in the business district. It's quiet but accessible by foot or tram to all sites and interesting things in Nantes for tourists. Room was big, clean and with a nice view of the river. The main misleading characteristic of this hotel is that it's 500m from the train station. Yes, it is--if you travel as the crow flies over a river. It's actually further than that because you need to walk a bit to find a bridge to cross. It was really too far with our bags, so we chose to take a taxi back to the train which cost us 10 euros!

Chambre 514. A notre arrivée, chambre non chauffée et froide ! Après avoir contacté la réception, il nous a été dit que le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas ! Il nous a été apporté un petit radiateur électrique d'appoint. Le lendemain matin, dans une salle de bain froide (18°), nous avons constaté que nous n'avions pas d'eau chaude non plus ! Pas de douche...
Petit autre détail, pas de cintre non plus dans les placards.
Nous avons rencontré la Directrice qui nous a confirmé ne pas être au courant, mais qui attendait la venue d'un technicien (?). Elle nous a propose une autre chambre pour prendre notre douche alors que nous étions prêts à partir. Finalement elle nous a proposé de nous offrir une chambre sur classée pour notre prochaine visite. Nous n'avons jamais reçu le voucher promis.
C'est la première fois, que je procède à un telle réclamation qu n'est pas à la hauteur de ce que nous pouvons attendre de ce type d'hôtel et du prix de la chambre ! Pour information, il y avait d'autres chaufferettes à l'entrée du couloir, donc l'hôtel était forcément au courant et à fait preuve de malhonnêteté.
Vous pouvez compter sur nous pour relayer la manière dont cet hotel gère ses clients...Une honte...

Parkplatz ist ein echtes Problem. Wenn man ins Hotel mit viel Gepäck kommt ist das auch ein Problem. Nur Stufen und Kopfsteinpflaster. Vor dem Hotel parken ist auch auf eigenes Risko wie ich informiert worden bin.

Das Hotel ist schon über die besten Tage hinaus. Wenn man zu einer Konferenz neben an muss, ist es sehr angenehm einfch.

L'hôtel est de bon confort et de bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Les chambres sont vastes, bien équipées et confortables. Toutefois, un problème lors de l'enregistrement, je trouve inadmissible qu'on vous demande votre carte de crédit pour ouvrir un compte au cas ou vous consommeriez des extras au bar ou restaurant. C'est tout à fait choquant, à partir du moment ou l'on a payé sa chambre à l'avance on ne devrait pas nous demander cela. Nous ne sommes pas aux USA ici.

Ideal pour decouvrir Nantes

Emplacement ideal à moins de 10 mn à pied du centre ville et du chateau.
Acceuil très sympathique, personnel bienveillant et très aimable.
Petit dejeuner copieux.
Chambre spacieuse, propre.
Tout a été parfait.

Pas digne du nom « Novotel ».
Moquette tachée, tapisserie abîmée, matériel vétuste et vieux mobilier, nous avons eu l’impression d’être dans une chambre d’hôpital. Sympa pour un weekend en amoureux à Nantes, deux nuit à plus de160 euros, du gâchis ! Novotel, plus jamais !!
