Basic.Rooms are very small, bathroom is difficult to manoeuvre in, especially the corner shower. 1 towel each, no hand towel. No coffee or tea making facilities. Booked a twin room (parent and teenager)and was given a double bed, however, this was changed upon request. Bed was comfy. It also appears that I paid more for the room on Expedia than the daily charge at the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here again.Im glad it was only for one night.

This hotel was a short walk from the main area of Nantes.
For a budget option this suited our needs however the rooms although clean were small and the bathroom was tiny.
We really liked the games in the bar area it was great to have a few drinks on the evening and play games with my family.

I went to Nantes for the first time on a whim and was delighted to stay at this hotel. For me the hotel is ideally located, everything was within comfortable walking distance. My room was small but clean and comfortable - a kettle would be a welcome future addition but that's just a minor thing. Breakfast offered great choice but the key factor was the staff - such upbeat, attentive and focused individuals who cheerfully couldn't have been anymore supportive. This was comforting considering I chose to visit by myself. Clean, cosy and well situated - thoroughly enjoyed it, merci a tous :)

This hotel is very basic but we knew that when travelling and was excellent value for money. We used it as a base when exploring the city and it was in an excellent location. 5 minutes walk to the busier part of the city with restaurants and bars. This ment the hotel was very quiet so easy to get a good night's sleep. Staff were lovely.

Just a short one day stay before flying out. Really convenient location as the tram is outside and will take you to from the airport (tram plus shuttle). The hotel is a short walk to Commerce Plaza where there is lots going on. The immediate area is a little quiet but just walk a bit south. The hotel itself is young spirited. Rooms are small but nice.

Chic and trendy Ibis hotel. Walking distance into the old town and could catch the tram if needed as its only around the corner from the hotel.Two complimentary bikes available at reception - took one and rented another for a days cycling along the green line.
Good value and wide selection for breakfast. Parking reserved on site. Very helpful staff

Hotel is ideal for us given its location so will use quite often. Rooms are very small though and bathrooms are tiny. However, everything is clean and tidy and absolutely fine if you don't plan to spend anything other than sleeping time in the room. Staff are excellent and the bar is good.

Stopped in Nantes to see another side of France. Loved the helpfulness of staff. Tram just outside. Bathroom is a better set up than the previous Ibis I stayed in. Lots of hidden gems near by like the Basilica and naughty fountain that sprays water everywhere great for the kids. Breakfast great as ever, but missed the smoked chicken.

The hotel room was nice and in a good location. It was raining so we decided to stay in and watch tv but couldn't find the remote. We phoned reception and the young girl made it plain that she wasn't happy being interrupted and on second visit found us a remote that was compatible with our tv. Other than that no complaints.

In general, the staff in the reception were helpful, polite and friendly, unfortunately with one exception upon checkout. Hopefully, this lack of professionalism was something temporary. Nevertheless, it gave a less pleasant aftertaste to an otherwise very good stay (that made me consider returning to this hotel next time I'm in Nantes).

Staff always pleasant and helpful. I requested a room transfer because of a noise level which I heard but the manageress didn't! It as granted instantly. Good breakfast choice too, including marmalade, a rarity sometimes, and the Ibis coffee cups are a sensible size.

Decent hotel within walking distance to town

Room was quite small, no wardrobe - just a few hangers at the back of the tv & a few shelves (which wasn't enough for 2 people). 2 single beds which had to be put together since the room was so small (door opens at the front of bed etc.) Shower room extremely narrow - if you're a big lad, you will struggle; luckily we were 2 petite women! otherwise clean, with a desk, luggage rack (big enough for up to a medium suitcase), toiletries in shower room, and tv with decent channels. Beds on wheels (so moved easily) and not a bad mattress to sleep on

Fairly basic small room, but clean and an extremely comfy bed. Dark at night, not too noisy - the faint sound of the trams. The hotel is located at the top of the town - a bit of a schlep from everything going on at the bottom of town. It would have been useful to have a free map of where we were in the hotel - We found one all the same once we'd located tourist info by the chateau. Would highly recommend this hotel, if you are on a budget - very pleasing!

Location slightly outside of all the central bars and restaurants so a quiet night is guaranteed. However after a five minute walk (down hill) is the lively centre including shops, bars, restaurants plus bus and tram stations for onward journeys. We stopped here one night on route to SW France. Good location, easy to find. Small but neat and functional room. On site car park was very useful as on street parking could be a little tricky. I had to some work so free computer in lobby was very useful. Staff really helpful in explaining French keyboard to me! Nantes is not very big so hotel was quite central, few minutes walk to main sites, bars and restaurants. I have stayed in several Ibis hotels - so you know what you are getting. This was good value and did not disappoint. Would stay here again.

A nice five nights-Hotel Ibis Tour Bretange

A well run hotel beside the tram and fifty meters from the train. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. The rooms were small but not so by French standards. En-suite was good and air conditioning worked a treat. This hotel is ideal for those who want to explore Nantes from a clean safe base. It reasonably priced and has good basic facilities required for the tourist.
