We only stayed 1 night on our way back to the UK. The location is near a motorway junction, making getting in and out of Bordeaux relatively easy. The kitchen area was small but well stocked and you could cook a meal.
It was all a bit tired really but the staff were helpful and friendly

I had a good stay and would stay again,
however only if I didn't intend to use the kitchen area to cook much.

The kitchenette is tiny, with no stand off area for hot pans. The fridge and sink are significantly smaller than other aparthotels and I found it difficult to cook. There was no storage space in the kitchen for my own food, so I ended up storing some of this on the floor, which is not ideal. There is also carpet in the kitchen area, which makes it difficult to clean up if something is spilt. The bin is also too small.

The apartment was perfectly clean, however other than 2 hangers had no storage areas for clothes etc. As a result I lived out of my suitcase for 4 days, which was not ideal.for me.

The staff were fantastic and extremely friendly and welcoming and let me check in a few minutes earlier, which I greatly appreciated after a long journey.

The hotel is relatively isolated, however the area felt safe. It is about a 30 min walk to the station, however there is s bus which stops close to the hotel and the tram is about a 15 min walk. There is also a supermarket in Begles (15 min walk)

Other than the kitchenette and the storage, the apartment was good. It had good soundproofing, the TV had a good selection of channels. It had a bath which I greatly appreciated.

The room has air-conditioning.and a king sized bed.

Overall, this was a great option for my budget and I would stay again.

The staff and inside the hotel were amazing and super helpful! The breakfast buffet was also very good! They offer a small dinner choice that you can heat up in your microwave and it’s tasty along with a glass of wine. This is good because there is nowhere in the immediate vicinity to eat. The neighborhood is pretty desolate and not great for taking the bus. The stop is several blocks away and with luggage and 38/. 95 degrees was difficult and the entrance to the hotel was not easy to see!

Nice property, questionable location

This is a nice property with wonderful staff, but the area surrounding the property is a bit seedy. Also, the walk to the tram to go into Bordeaux takes about 20 minutes and the area one walks through is less than desirable.

Getting to the hotel which had plenty of parking was difficult as it is currently isolated due to major road works being undertaken.

Breakfast is available for a small tariff however, there are no eateries nearby. We arrived the night France won the World Cup and unfortunately it was impossible to go anywhere because the streets were gridlocked with revellers.

Good hotel but far from city centre

To be fair it's mainly my fault for not paying attention to the location but I expected it to be much closer to the city centre. Just be aware that you need a car otherwise you will be ubering back and forth like I did...it can get fairly expensive.

As far as the facilities themselves, they were good and I have no major complaints other than it was impossible to get any food here other than during breakfast.

We arrived at the hotel to find it was in the middLe of an industrial park located 2 kms from the tram station. We were not permitted to enter the premises to wait until check in. On entry there was a notice the internet was not working. We were terribly mislead by Expedia as to the suitability of the hotel and decided to abort the reservation. Not impressed.

Walked from Bordeaux St Jean train station...not a very nice part of town.
Unfortunately Wi-Fi wasn't working (which is one reason I book hotels with free Wi-Fi as it is my only for of communication whilst abroad)
Very limited cooking facilities.
Air conditioning was very much appreciated though.

The hotel has all the cooking needs, though we did not use it. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was DELICIOUS. The couscus, the ratatouille and the desert choices were excellent. Since it was a buffet style dinner we could try all the french dishes and at a reasonable price of 14.95 euros

Good hotel for business trip

This is a well put together operation. It's clean and efficiently run. The staff speak good English if your French is a little weak. The food is tasty. Breakfast and dinner are a buffet arrangement and are quite inexpensive. The hotel is near to tram route \"C\" and is potentially in a good location if you're arriving in Bordeaux by train. It's a fair distance from the airport though. A Taxi to/from the airport is approximately 45 Euro (May, 2015). The tram can take you into the center of town in about 15 minutes + 10 minute walk to the tram stop. The main problem for holiday makers is the area surrounding the hotel, it's a bit industrial. Nevertheless the hotel is not responsible for the area that surrounds it! This will not concern business travelers. My room had a nice view of the river and despite being reasonably near to a main road there was no noise in the evening. The WIFI is easy to set up and the hotel will provide connection for more than one device (e.g. phone + laptop). The hotel bar is small but perfectly formed. Checkout is midday as standard which is very useful. Most taxis take credit cards as do the tram ticket machines.

The hotel is clearly brand new and clean. It is however, located in a super industrial area with nothing near it. The tram and bus are even far away. Taxi to and from the hotel gets expensive quick.

Service was sub par- I asked the staff twice to call a cab for me and only after I went out of my way to double check with another staff member, did they finally call a cab for me. My phone wasn't working in the room and so I had to go up and down the elevator when I had to talk to reception. Wifi password should be suggested upon checkin as common courtesy.

Over I don't think I'd stay there again.

Nice hotel with kitchen - no dishes though.

If you'd like to drive to Bordeaux but not stay in the city, this is the perfect hotel. It's an 8-10 minute drive, and you'll see parking ramps when you get to the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The elevator/stair lobby area was dark most of the time - wish they would have had lights in there. The kitchenette was fine, but it would have been better if they would have had a frying pan, skillet, and a couple of plates, bowls, and utensils. Bring your own if you stay there.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the interior of the hotel was very modern and clean. The apartment was roomy. We enjoyed the food, but were disappointed that we were not within walking distance of the tourist sites. It's in an old industrial area next to the river (but the river was not visible from the room). Good parking.

Room smelt of stale tabacco smoke on arrival even though we assumed it was a non smoking establishment and there were no ashtrays in the room.
Very disappointed as there were no utensils/crockery for preparing food what so ever. What is the point of having a kitchenette! Would be reluctant to use it again.

English speaking front desk but poor overall service. For instance, they cleaned our room and removed one complete set of towels, so when I called the front desk to ask for the other set of towels they removed, they said \"Ahh, ok... I will prepare your towels for you here if you want to come down to the front desk to retrieve them.\" Uhh, yeah... let me finish drying off so I can come retrieve the towels YOU took away! Parking was free, but there was a wine festival in town and it was HARD to find a spot late in the evening. The houses next door were run down, vacant, and there were girls-for-hire lingering around on the streets in the immediate surrounding area.

hard to get to address

First of all, there are many of them. so make sure you are going to to the right one. Even though this one says Bordeaux it is not in Bordeaux. Second, the address cannot be entered to GPS. Then The road is blocked. If you are going to this hotel around midnight like me, be prepared to see prostitutes close by. But once you get in to the hotel, staff seemed friendly. It is not the best hotel but okay.

Great hotel, but out of the way

The hotel / apartments are really nice. They are clean and the rooms are very spacious. The check-in staff were very helpful and spoke good English. However, although the room contains a stove, microwave, fridge and kettle - they do not provide cutlery, crockery or other cooking ware. The only bin is also the bathroom one (which is obviously very small - not designed for kitchen waste). The hotel would be fantastic if you had a car but is out of the way and a long-ish walk to/from the station and too far to walk into Bordeaux central. As it is located in an industrial area, it is very quiet at night!

Nice hotel, no where near town

This was a clean and nice room but no where near Bordeaux at all. Taxis cost about 15-20 euros each way to get into town from here each day. It was a cheaper stay than the hotels in the center of Bordeaux but after the cost of the taxis in and out of town it probably would have been cheaper to just stay in town.

Good quality & value but long, costly taxi rides

Teneo is a high quality budget hotel with professional staff, high standards and smart rooms. It is great value for money. The only down side is the location. You have to get a taxi to anywhere social. There are no bars, restaurants or night life in the area and taxi journeys are quite long and not cheap so you could end up spending the money you save just getting around!

Location matters

Looks good on the photos and even the map, so when I read the blurb below I was confident that we'd found a good spot to stay.

\"Situated in Begles, this hotel is close to Place de la Victoire, Place de la Bourse, and Cathedrale St. Andre. Area attractions also include Maison du Vin de Bordeaux and Musee des Beaux-Arts.\"

Don't get me wrong, the hotel was modern, clean and had decent amenities...but somebody needs to point out that if you aren't driving to it and like us walked from the last tram stop - you'll be very surprised to find that it is a business hotel on the outskirts of an industrial estate, behind a main road and far from convenient or scenic.

The staff were friendly and the rates were good, just don't stay here without your own transport. Especially if you think you're close to the things above.

The hotel was very comfortable with a helpful staff. They have recently remodeled so the hotel is new and has comfortable beds. Some of the rooms have 'windows' into the bathrooms with no privacy! Also, the hotel has no street level signs indicating it is a hotel. We drove around for hours!

A little taken aback by the external appearance of the hotel as the reality, imho, did not look as good as the photo. It is parallel to a busy main road but no noise could be heard inside. The modern lift is operated by a touch sensitive panel which does not always respond to a touch! Staff were friendly and room basic but ok. If you are just looking for a bed and some breakfast then it's acceptable. Definitely need transport to stay here.

Business Hotel - Efficient but Bland

This is a modern, clean and efficient hotel but no personality unless you are interested in the auto and motorcycle dealerships that surround it. Everything works though. The freeway blocks access to the river. It is a couple of miles to the train station but a 1/2 hour walk to a restaurants and the tram which gets you to the heart of the city. OK if you have a car.
