My son ate at the hotel (and only at the hotel) and then had nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Notwithstanding all of that, the hotel refused to provide a doctor and accept any responsibility. I spent days arguing with them. Terrible and shocking.

This was our first time at Jumeirah Dar Al Maysaf, and it was an absolutely perfect stay from check-in to check-out! Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, professional and attentive.

Our lagoon room was beautiful, spacious, airy and luxurious, with a super-comfy bed and an incredible dressing area and bathroom. The outside balcony was incredible too, overlooking the lagoon, perfect for early coffee and evening drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the aperitifs and snacks which were served each evening before heading off to dine in one of the amazing restaurants,

We particularly enjoyed spending time at ‘Celeste’ which is an adults only pool bar with direct access to the beach and amazing views of Burj Al Arab! It was so peaceful with a cooling breeze from the ocean.

Thank you to everyone for providing us with an unforgettable stay - we will definitely be back!

We stayed here and had a wonderful time as we always do. The hotel is beautiful and something you just can’t get anywhere else. It is special.
Unfortunately though, we’ve had terrible service after our stay where the hotel took 4000aed as a pre-authorisation from my bank card and still haven’t returned the money. It’s been 3 weeks now. I’ve been assured the refund has been processed but I am now receiving no communication and haven’t even received an apology for the mistake. I am incredibly disappointed for such a premium establishment that we adore, we expected better.

Arrived at the hotel at 5am and was sent to the wrong room. Our actual room was across the river so we couldn't even walk to it. The hotel staff apologised but not the actual persom at reception who made the mistake.

Getting to and from the room can be a lengthy process.
Be prepared to wait a long time for buggys and boats to go to different stops. Several buggy/boats go past but they wont stop. One day i waited 30 mins for a boat, with 5 going past and not a single person waited.
Villa is nice, butler service is good and snacks available through the day in the courtyard.

Another amazing stay at Dar Al Masyaf, completely faultless .a prompt check in, the excellent staff in the villa, butlers on hand if you ever need anything. We found the e butler service very useful.
The huge amount of dining options are great.
Our kids (8&6 years) loved the kids club and the pool at the villas is handy.
If you book Dar Al Maysef you will not regret it

I booked a room with a large hotel credit and spa service on Expedia. Just to be sure, I checked the details of my reservation with Expedia before my stay. However, the hotel said that it was not included and unilaterally said it was my mistake. Since it was a short one-night stay, I thought it was a waste of time and didn't protest much, but I feel like I was scammed. This ruined my stay at the hotel, which I was really looking forward to.

Nightlights control were not working. Shower head condition could be better. We choose the room because of the bathtub but unfortunately, the bathtub was dirty and the drain doesn't work so we did not use the bathtub. Waterflow was perfect, AC was average. I really liked the mattress.

Always really enjoy our stay at dar al masyaf. Great kids club that our boys always enjoyed visiting. Food always good in all restaurants and service really good. Being the very hot period and it being quite a few bits of work going on around the hotel that is well hidden and not a distraction which is good to see them improving things. Could do with an update on the main pool at al qasr as there is a fair few lose tiles in the pool.

Perfection! Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing. My husband collapsed while walking and needed to be taken to hospital. Management could not have been more accommodating. They did everything they could for him and were very helpful to me. Grace was especially helpful when I returned from hospital. Fantastic location for a short break - away from the UK weather! Very helpful and efficient staff who made our stay very comfortable. A great choice of cuisine across a number of restaurant options. The room was advertised on Hotels.com as “water view”. Unfortunately, we were put in a room that was on the ground floor with a view of a wooden fence, with a kids club on the other side of the fence.
We advised staff that we’d booked a room with a water view and asked to move rooms but I was told there wasn’t another room available.

The service at the property was outstanding. Staff was professional and quite accommodating (early check-in, etc.). I had a last minute issue where I needed to change the reservation date. Expedia was very unhelpful (had to waste 80 minutes over the app to see if there was a solution to this issue but had no value add). On the other hand, I called the hotel sales team myself and within 5 minutes they told me to ask Expedia to call Ayoub from the hotel sales team who resolved this issue.

Fantastic city resort to feel rejuvenated

We've been wanting to go to Dar Al Masyaf for years. So with the wife's birthday and the great staycation offer, we couldn't pass the opportunity up. It was overall, a great experience. Staff were superb and attentive even if they appear to be understaffed because of the current Covid restrictions. F&B was just okay but I believe this was because of the restrictions too, since several outlets are closed. But Souk Madinat is just next door and the central location means its easy to go elsewhere for food. The room was nice and spacious (though a bit warm) and the \"villas\" had great ambience and beautiful courtyards. The pools, beach and access to Wild Wadi meant the kids had great fun. Its easily one of our family's best staycation experiences. Early check in and late checkout meant we maximised our weekend away, giving us that rare moment to get out of the house to unwind and relax.

It is hard to compare this property to any other. I can say with out doubt it is one of the best in the world. Staff, amenities, property grounds and restaurants are all exceptional.
Truly a must have experience, the price is not cheap but if your happy to travel June to September do yourself a favor and book a villa here, you will walk away with memories that will last a life time. The hospitality and professionalism are without question the best in the world.

Have stayed here a number of times over last 10 years and every visit has been excellent. Very relaxing and peaceful environment. Excellent service. There were some renovations taking place in some areas but this did not disturb us at all. The villa pools are fantastic and the main pool is good but needs a little renovation.
