They don’t follow their own rules 1. You can not leave your towel on a lounge chair to save it but people do and not enforced. Most of all 10:00 pm quiet time in the hotel part and it was LOUD VERY RUDE GUEST, I complained twice and was given the old we will monitor it, they did NOTHING. I won’t go back

We were on the 6 th floor our room was fine our friends were on the 3rd floor and said their rooms were very aged with dirty curtains. Bar staff were not consistently nice, tipping didn’t seem to help which makes me wonder do they get the tips? Reservation dining staff were very friendly with really great service which to me is more Riu palace typical. We had Randolph at the buffet multiple times and his service in his section was FANTASTIC. Which again is more Riu palace experience. At EVERY Riu I have been to, arrival drink and someone takes your luggage to the room, now I don’t need that but typically the person explains the resort to you and gives tips to enjoy your stay. Front desk service top notch. This location has some work to do. Room amenities needed extra towels and such, fast service. No convenience store which seems to be at every all inclusive resort I’ve been to. There wasn’t a place to get tums, ibuprofen or just something you may have forgot. Bahamas is beautiful and this location has a beautiful beach but again this location needs some work. If it was the first Riu I went to I wouldn’t go to another Riu

Great view of the ocean from our privet balcony. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet was great at breakfast and good at dinner. Chicken jerk shack by the pool was delicious. Maid service was spot on and very friendly, only thing lacking was the amount of bottled water in the room. Had to ask for extra water every day as I drink a lot. Showers we always hot and plenty of pressure. Bed was firm and sheets clean and soft.
The down side was the pillows were not the best, and the A/C was hard to figure out, so either cold and blasting or off and stuffy.

The resort did not match the pictures online at all. It was much smaller than expected—honestly one of the smallest resorts I’ve stayed at. While the staff was generally okay and did their jobs, the overall atmosphere felt somewhat unwelcoming. The service wasn’t terrible, but the friendliness and hospitality you usually expect at a resort just weren’t really there. Overall, the experience didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by the photos and description.

Shows were great and the performers were amazing! Definitely a bit more party vibe than we were initially looking for but still a good experience. Mornings were the most relaxing if you get up early and get a nice spot on the beach. Beach and pool get crowded fast. It was a bit weird there were no fans in the bathroom (there was some black mold in the shower) and the elevators take forever - locate the stairs early. Overall, would bring back the rest of the girl group for another trip.

I will start with the positives. The location is very nice. Beach is beautiful. The food in the buffet was very good as well as the specialty restaurants. Now for the negative. When we arrived the “ attendants” were too busy conversing with each other to bother with us. Eventually one did help us with our bags but without being the least bit cordial. It was the same with the bar tenders at both indoor and outdoor bars. The only bar tender with any professionalism was a gentleman named Anthony. To be treated with such rude servers and attendants at an adult only resort makes one wonder if there are many returning guests. I know for certain we will not be back.

Was a beautiful room we had a view of both the ocean and Atlantis hotel, Food was great weather you had the buffet or one of the three restaurants. Sometimes hit or miss with that. Pools were both clean and perfect temp. Beach was amazing (except for constant local vendors!). For all inclusive well worth it.

Outdated rooms, mattress and pillows were very poor quality. Pool bar needs to be better maintained. Restaurants did not deliver. Staff seems to expect a tip for anything they do, from serving water at breakfast, to drinks at any of the bars. If you do not tip, you will not get service. Elevators take a very long time. Coffee bar did not open until 10am, what is the point of coffee half way through the morning? Too many locals pushing you to buy excursions on the beach, not comfortable to try and relax when being hounded.

The room had no working AC. I had to be moved to a different room, and that room’s AC started to make loud noise in the middle of the night and leaking water. The next day I had to deal with the front desk for half of the day while they attempted to fix the AC. Spend my first 24 hour vacation frustrated, and hotels did nothing about it.

The buffet was fine. There was nothing to do at this resort. Very boring. Staff was good. I would NOT recommend this place to go on vacation.

We got delayed a day because of weather- called the hotel about 20 times, no answer. Call Riu customer service and they said they wouldn’t help with reservations to make sure it wouldn’t be cancelled (said call hotel). Showed up at hotel and the front desk’s first comment was well you didn’t let us know you were still coming- check in was an ordeal- hotel was ok, food ok, pool/view were great!

Had a wonderful stay at RIU Palace. The gentleman that checked us in was amazing. We mentioned it was our first time in the Bahamas and we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. He upgraded our room to a suit on the top floor. The view was stunning. Only one elevator that goes to the top floor so you have to wait sometimes but it wasn't bad. The hotel was pretty nice. The furniture in the room is a little beat up and could use updating but it was clean. Food was good. The beach was absolutely beautiful. Pools were nice and my favorite part was they were warm! Overall had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

We had a very pleasant stay at this resort. Our room, while dated somewhat was clean and the king size bed quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the entertainment staff. Food was plentiful with a large selection and overall quite good. The beach is wonderfull. It was quite windy for the first few days of our stay with significant surf meaning you couldn't go into the water at the resort but if you didn't mind a bit of a walk there was a point about a 20 minute walk up the beach that had a break wall where you could swim and have the beautiful beach all to yourself. The tourquoise water was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this resort as a place to stay for adults.

Room 1411 was ok furniture was a little dated and mattress on bed was hard, had a nice view. Bar service was ok drinks were good, the one pet peeve for me was RIU’s towel policy one towel card per guess hand in card for one towel loose towel card (no we did not) and it’s a $20 charge. Overall trip was good we had a good time.

We stayed 4 nights but could only book 2 restaurants and one of them had the last booking time of 8:30 pm. Pool was great but make sure you place your towels on your preferred lounger around 7 am as the seats fill up fast for the day. Entertainment was pretty good. Consists of dance acts mostly but there was a band there one night. Be prepared for audience interaction including being called up on stage for some participation segments. Resort was nicely laid out with plenty of areas to sit and a convenient cafe near the front offering desserts and beverages. Rooms are a bit dated and could use a refresh but are clean and comfortable. Nice overall experience. Would definitely come back. Probably the best overall choice for your money among the 4 all inclusive resorts offered in the Bahamas.

The ice bucket had leftover ice that melted. They skipped one day from restocking the refrigerator. The front desk people were very nice and the cleaning ladies as well. The room was clean. You should have more available reservations for your restaurants. We noticed the restaurants were not filled. Plenty of room for more reservations.

Overall, this is an average hotel. It was hit and miss with the attitudes of staff. Some were polite and welcoming and others couldn’t care less. The property is fairly dated but overall clean. Housekeeping may or may not restock your coffee and water supply. I am not entirely dissatisfied but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Bar staff, bellboys and housekeeping were amazing! Room service food, fromt desk and room temperatures could use a LOT of improvement. My thermostat was set to 17°C and could not be adjusted even though it was like 9°C outside. Overall, even though I was freezing and it was too cold for the beach, I had fun meeting new people and watching the indoor nightly shows.
