The SLS pool is really nice. Challenging to get chairs sometimes. Many cabanas open but not accessible without paying a fee. Staff is very nice. Rooms are a decent size.

Overpriced and overrated for what we got. Food is very expensive at the hotel. We liked the food at Katsuya and Leora the most. Pizza Lab good too. A slice of pizza is $13. Service was usually not great anywhere - staff were not helpful and often grumpy. I think management should try giving them more autonomy and pay to boost morale. Staff were often unable to think outside the box, probably because of the work culture. We complained to management and did have one of our dinners credited so that was nice. SLS shares the beach with Hyatt so the chairs are the same. Hyatt next door is perfect for anyone with kids btw. The lobby and casino at SLS are freezing, and the weather outside was windy, so we all got sick when coming from the pool. Overall I don’t think I’d come back to the Bahamas unless it was a last minute trip with guaranteed hot weather. Apparently Dec-April is cold.

Awesome pools and rooms. I wish they had ice machines om the room floors - you have to call to order and it can take up to 30 min. I would recommend adding more kid/mocktail drink options. Cleo restaurant was our favorite. The cake slices at Pizza Lab are very good, but too expensive.

Overall the staff was helpful and wonderful. Very hospitable. It’s a clean hotel, lots to do if you’re into casinos and bars. The fitness center is amazing as is the jazz club. The restaurants are just good, not great especially for the cost. Stay away from Cleo. Terrible service, food was mediocre and server tried to pass off an obviously open bottle of water as brand new. It’s very, very loud, filled with lots of very young kids and it’s expensive relative to other Caribbean islands and resorts. If you have children, it may be a nice place to go but, sitting next to a family with screaming children while paying for an over-priced dinner is not our jam.

For such a high end hotel, it had horrible service and the shower in our suite smelled like mold. Restaurants had poor service, all of them. My wife was yelled at not to sit at a certain table. It was the pizza and ice cream restaurant downstairs. Also the restaurants we attended never came to us for water or drinks to be filled or to ask how are meal was. We would never come back.

Room was not good. Beds were missing a sheet, so it had a fitted sheet and comforter only. Then sheets had some stains. Safe did not work. The floor was dirty, also no fans in bathroom.

Then Getting seats by the pool is impossible. I guess for what it costs, you are not getting what you pay for.

This resort is absolutely amazing. It was so luxurious and they have something for everyone. The beverages, food, entertainment and activities were all fantastic. The food and drinks are very expensive, but everything was absolutely delicious, so one could justify the cost. I would definitely recommend this so a couples vacation or a family vacation.

SLS is great. Hotel is clean and service is great. The only issue I’d say is that rooms are super small. A 2 queen bed ocean view room for 2 adults had zero space in the bathroom for any toiletries. Felt very cramped. I also paid for an ocean view room but I only got a “partial” view with half a balcony. I didn’t know there were options to select a “full ocean view”!
Also, so many kids and infants! There were barely any adults!

I will note that we seemed to be under the impression that it was more of a adult place, however it was full of a lot of young children. Not that there is anything wrong with having children there but i think we misunderstood the description.
...there were a LOT of kids at SLS Baha.

I was still charged a resource fee, a wine minibar fee that I did not use, and a $50 restaurant charge for dinner, even though I explicitly asked the front desk to cancel my reservation.

Once you arrive, it seems they have you! Prices are higher than Las Vegas strip! If you’re looking for a relaxing child free holiday-stay away! Restaurant food is mediocre and they are all off a casino gambling floor which sucks more money out of your wallet! The only place that accepts cash is the casino! Chairs at the pool are also extra costs!

We travel every year to a new sunny destination and this one will not be visited again and I will be letting friends know of the incredible costs and price gouging!!! Not 1 person we spoke to was happy about this place aside from the grounds!

I’m not typically a reviewer but this one was super disappointing, I felt I had to say something! 1 week-$9,000! King size room and we didn’t eat very much!

The room was small and not very comfortable. There was a clear lack of staff, with no service at the pool or beach areas and no personnel available to guide or assist us.

The pool service was horrible especially for the prices I was paying for drinks and bottles.

At check-in, the front desk offered us champagne for our last night, but it was never delivered and was simply forgotten. Front desk apologized for not sending it admitting to have forgotten.

Our dinner reservations were also not made as promised.

Overall, the service was very poor, and the hostesses at all the restaurants were rude and unwelcoming.

This experience was disappointing and did not meet expectations.

The room was spotless and the resort was beautiful. My only complaint is the staff doesn’t tell you the mini bar has sensors if you move an item it will charge your card. I moved items in the refrigerator to make space for my water and it charged my card thinking I had used the items. The front desk clerk did remove the charges but that is something they should let you know during check in .

The hotel room was microscopic for the price. The resort was overpriced in every way. Water bottles were $15.00 USD which is over $20.00 Canadian. I’ve had much nicer times and quality in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The entire setup felt like a tourist trap

Our stay at SLS Baha Mar was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We came for our honeymoon and were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite at check-in, which immediately made the experience feel special.

The suite was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained. Daily housekeeping kept towels and toiletries fully stocked. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and attentive and truly seemed to care about making our stay exceptional. The level of service throughout the resort genuinely stood out.

The property itself offers so much to do. We loved the waterpark, animal sanctuary, casino, and booking excursions through Discover Bahamas. We booked a same-day snorkeling trip that included transportation directly from the resort. It felt safe, well-organized, and allowed us to snorkel over reefs, swim with sharks, and see amazing wildlife.

Dining options were excellent, though the added taxes do make food a bit expensive. That said, the variety and quality were great. We felt very safe and well cared for throughout the entire stay.

When we had a flight issue and needed to extend our stay, Miguel at the front desk went above and beyond to help us keep our suite and made everything seamless. We will absolutely return and have already recommended Baha Mar to family. An unforgettable experience.

I am a fan of SLS Baha Mar, but during this stay, I felt disappointed.

Not sure if the hotel was understaffed, but the cleaning was very superficial, and the room service was disappointing.
Our breakfast tray stayed in the room for a day. When we came back, the room was cleaned, and they left it at the entrance. I called housekeeping to let them know in the afternoon. They asked me to leave it outside my door so someone can come and take it. The following morning, it was still there.

When I informed the front desk during checkout, they didn't really care.

This is definitely not the quality you expect from SLS.

3rd time here in 5 years. 1st 2 times were 5 stars. 3rd time was a nightmare. 2-bedroom residence in SLS for $2,500/night didn't even have a balcony to sit on. Room was old and over-priced. SLS has no hot water during the evening hours when everyone goes back to hotel to shower. Made a complaint to hotel manager and was told that this isn't a reported problem. Apparently, it has been a problem for a very long time based on speaking to an employee there, and they just lie to you. Every time you call guest services, nobody answers. A/C in room constantly goes on and off every 30 seconds throughout the night. Very annoying. The staff used to be so friendly. Now they are all just completely NASTY. Housekeeping only came 3 out of the 4 nights and just completely skipped us the last night. Go out to dinner to Cinko and they bring meals before appetizers. Food was disgusting. Spent almost $25k between rooms, flight, dinners and gambling in the casino that never pays out, to have a very poor experience. Will never go back to SLS...Save your money.

The only Negative was the seaweed on the beach and in the water. I am assuming its that time of year December and has no reflection on the hotel. Closer to Rosewood it seemed cleaner the beach but they might only remove it there.

Service is terrible, period. One of our kids got intoxicated consuming shrimp the first night of our stay. They showed up to our room saying they could take us to the hospital. That was the first and last time we heard from the staff. No follow up call to merely see if the little girl made it through the night. They said ‘security’ was investigating the incident but, although we spent three additional nights at the SLS, nobody reached out. Extremely disappointed.

This was our second visit. We were there six months ago and took advantage of the Expedia 25% off booking discount if you booked well on vacation and booked the same hotel. This time we stayed at the SLS. Love the staff, love the pools, love how easy it is to be there and how much there is to do. We’ve stayed there a total of nine days so far and we still didn’t do everything that the hotel has to offer that we wanted to. The area is beautiful, the jazz club is exceptional and even their pizza is New York great. The waterpark is a blast as well, although we stuck to the lazy river this time. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful property and wide range of dining options and activities available. The variety and quality of the dining experiences, along with the numerous activities, made my stay enjoyable.

The rooms were another highlight - spacious, clean, and comfortable.

I used the fitness centre during my stay, and while it was adequate, I felt it could benefit from being larger and having more equipment. It was fine when not too many people were using it, but it felt cramped during busier periods.

I have a suggestion regarding the lounge chairs by the pool. I noticed many chairs were left reserved for extended periods without anyone using them. Implementing a policy allowing people 30 minutes to return to their lounge chairs would be beneficial. This way, more guests could enjoy the pool area, and chairs wouldn't remain empty for long periods.

Staff gave another guest access to my room. This is the second time this has happened at this property. Once at Rosewood and now at SLS. To me this is an inexcusable mistake and it has happened twice in two stays!

I have never had this happen to me at any other hotel. The violation of privacy and safety as you are changing and a random person uses a passkey and opens your door is next level and unacceptable at a 2 star motel yet happens here.

Deniro by the pool was a great member. He checked in on us, remembered our names and was extremely pleasant and professional. I found the rest of the service by the SLS pool sub par. Not enough servers around at all and you’d have to go up and order it yourself if you wanted something quickly.

The hotel was nice but bathrooms are tiny. No turn down service during this stay which i found disappointing. We’ve been here several times and usually have turndown service.

We had one issue where we asked for a late checkout since we had a late flight. We were given an hour and a half extension. Our friends were given an hour which was great. We both asked about complimentary amenities to use after checkout since we had a late night, I specifically asked are there showers or a room that could be used and we were both told (on separate calls) that we are able to use the spa. Then when we checked out, again we were notified we can store our luggage then make our way to the spa afterwards. We did that and when we arrived at the spa, we were told it’s a $55 USD charge per person! Thankfully the spa team was able to allow us to use the services given the clear misdirection. However, we have been to many, many hotels and never have we been charged to use the facilities after check out. In other resorts we are offered a separate room, the spa, many many options. It’s unfortunate that Bahamar feels the need to continuously add charges in addition to the already expensive costs.
