We stayed at Rosewood previously. Our room this trip felt dated and worn. Our room was in a different tower/area which perhaps is older. We had issues with the lights, the balcony seemed half-furnished, the carpet outside our door torn and worn out. We had a terrible experience at high tea but wonderful service (Jenika) after as the cost was taken off our bill. The Mexican restaurant bar area was filthy on the floor. We brought attention to it but just like our service, it was disregarded. The waterpark was such good fun. Made us feel like kids again. The beach always had loungers available. Flamingo Yoga was not only a must visually but their handler teaches you a lot about the birds themselves. The gym was great as was the spa though it was very expensive.
Would we come back ?! For a supposed luxury resort Rosewood came up short. I would rather stay next door at The Hyatt for more than half the price or if in a group to socialize SLS. Same amenities, same restaurants just better pricing.

Kino at the Aviary was the BEST!!! Every team member was exceptional. There was an instance in the Casino where my husband was with our 7yo daughter walking through to get to the Sugar factory and one of the casino attendants was very nasty and rude to my husband in telling him that she(our daughter) couldn’t be there and she needed to go. She said this several times. This occurred this past Saturday evening. My husband had to explain to her that the way she spoke to him in front of our child was unnecessary and inappropriate. She didn’t say anything after that. There is a way to speak to people, professionally and courteously especially in front of children. Perhaps you may need to have a course in courtesies and speaking to guests. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay without incident. The entire team except for her as I mentioned, were OUTSTANDING!!!

LOVED everything about this hotel. Highly recommend. We want to go back. Rooms were gorgeous and spacious. The attention to detail was unmatched. Shout out to Sherwin the security guard. Really made our night after bumping into him last night during a beautiful full moon walk. It is staff like him and that reminds us on the importance of visiting other countries and learning about other amazing cultures and their people. can’t wait to go back to rosewood Bahamar with my entire family !!

This was our 4th trip to the Rosewood Baha Mar in the last 5 years. The staff has been consistently amazing, and remember us without the aide of CRM. It is the perfect getaway with a flight time from NYC that is manageable, and a proximity to the airport that, all in has us from Newark to poolside in under 3.5 hours. Perfection

They dont delieve on anything other than somethimg routine that you could easily do yourself. Probably better off booking through amex and get their amenities guatenteed instead of a suite with butler service.

While your staff was incredibly nice, the service was not what may be expected from a hotel of this caliber. We had countless issues with in-room dining and house keeping services. Your staff wasn’t rude but the service was not exactly good either. We often had cold meals, long waiting times, missing items, days without house keeping services etc all while we kept calling the guest experiences line… I’ve stayed in rosewoods and four seasons all over the world and had expected better from Rosewood Baha Mar. There were a couple of exceptional people like Mohammed the Assistant Director of Rooms who helped us out when our son ran into a table and cut his head. He was incredible which is the standard I had expected from the Rosewood Baha Mar. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms comfortable!

I rarely leave reviews but this stay was SO DISAPPOINTING I feel compelled to. From arrival to checkout, staff were uninterested and unhelpful, even rude at times. Our room was not ready until 430 PM (after early check-in requested 1 week prior). I was never texted or notified that our room was even ready, had to go to front desk to check for myself after waiting for 2 hours. Then once we got to the room, the key wrist bands did not work. Had to go back to front desk to have them fixed. NO apology from front desk for that inconvenience. iPad in room not working so unable to use that to look at menus/maps/order room service throughout stay. Lightbulbs burnt out on our patio, so completely dark at night. Lightbulbs never changed throughout stay. No turn down service at night except the last night when they had failed to clean our room during the day despite the cleaning light being on. Called for bottled water to be delivered at 1030PM since it has not been replenished due to NO turn down service, waters never came. Live music at Manor Bar until midnight, could hear it LOUD and CLEAR in our room on the 7th floor. Food/drinks extremely slow delivery time at pool, waited >45 minutes for anything. No apology ever for the long waiting time. This hotel is NOT up to rosewood standards, AT ALL. I've stayed at many Rosewoods and the service is always exceptional so this was extremely disappointing. We will not be returning. Save your money and stay at the Hyatt if going to Baha Mar.

My wife and I returned today from Rosewood. Beautiful property and great service. Our only issue was the extreme cost of food and alcohol. We were fully expecting to pay resort prices but they have taken it to a whole different level. While there we chatted with other guests and they had the same complaint. Not sure we will return.

Came for a weekend getaway. Sadly, I had cash stolen from my bag while it was with the bellhop. Do NOT leave any cash unattended at this property. When these things happen, there is no evidence and the hotel will not accept responsibility, which I understand. Still, I had to spend several hours of my weekend speaking with various hotel staff and security personnel about the issue. The whole experience left a bitter taste to an otherwise nice trip, and it's sad to see that it's a recurring problem here.

The Front desk staff and concierge were excellent. . The property is laid out very well, great rooms, great amenties.
My son had hurt his back in the Water Park Giant drop ride. We mentioned that when we requested an ice bucket to be brought to his room. That took 2 hours.
I went to the front desk and she placed an urgent order for ice. That took 45 min. Unacceptable.
Restuarants - drinks came after appetizers were done and almost right with the meal. Very high prices for mediocre food.
Pool side service - poor . Almost like they did not care since no tipping was policy.
Beach side service was excellent.
Felt cheated for such high prices for poor service quality than cheaper \"All Inclusive\" resorts in Mexico .
Expected high end service at a higher end resort.
Wanted to mention this so a quick improvement can be made.

The beach and pool areas are beautiful. The food is a real problem, reservations are nearly impossible to secure, the food is terrible and overpriced. We got food poisoning at one of the restaurants. The servers in general are unhappy and unhelpful. Perhaps because the service charge is automatically included there is no incentive to work for/provide good service. The only exception is the beach service, the beach attendants were friendly and a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. When we checked out there was an additional $1400 added to our bill for charges that we did not incur. The front desk did remove them but it was just one more issue. When we brought our concerns to management the food and beverage manager comped our dinner at Cafe Boulard and even the food there was terrible. A couple spit out their martinis, said it was the worst they ever had, and walked out of the restaurant. Coincidentally, Chef Boulard was also dining at the restaurant that evening because he had a an event there the next night. We even heard him complaining about the service! I also did not enjoy the shared hotel amenities: it felt dirty, overcrowded.

Amazing room, great dinners, they nickel and dime you to death. $200-300 daily resort fees. Tip on everything you do required. One weekend of incidentals for 2 people was over $4000. Casino looks great, but odds are not good, and comps nearly non existent.

The property and the rooms are beautiful! I had booked and paid for an ocean view room. When we got to our room and face the building and the garden. As you know when you want to switch, aroma takes hours in the Bahamas. So, I opted not to do that. Luckily, I stumbled upon the assistant general manager, I overheard him speaking to another couple at the pool about the same problem. He ended up crediting our dinner. He was very nice, very accommodating, and great at his job, just a word to the wise, when you check and make sure you get what you want and what you paid for.

I don’t normally write reviews but here it goes- I travel almost every week and am top status on 2 airlines and several hotel chains. I’m in the top 1% of travelers in the world. I say this to give perspective. The hotel is not worth the 2/3x price of other resorts in the casino complex. It is way overpriced, they make no attempts to give concessions like early check in or a place to shower and change for an evening flight when checkout is at noon. The spa will not let you shower and change into travel clothes. I had to change in their public bathroom which I wouldn’t have minded if my basic room wasn’t $2000 a night after taxes and the stupid 15% resort fee. I stay at their sister properties in Texas all the time and it is a much better operation. I confronted their manager noting I couldn’t be the only one who has encountered this difficulty. They comped my sedan to the airport. The easy fix is to take one of their spa rooms and keep it open or convert one of the bathrooms/rooms into a changing area.

The positives- the rooms are lovely; the ocean view is not superb as the hotel is set way back from the water. The food was good not great, the service was Caribbean standard but the folks are all nice. The beach is nice but if you’re coming to get away from the chaos you’d find at a larger resort, you will be disappointed as the beach can be very crowded/ noisy.

The overall decor of the hotel is top notch. Make sure you book reservations for everything well in advance

The Rosewood decor is lovely but very busy and noisy. Our room was very loud at night with music blaring until 1am on the Saturday evening. The ocean view was blocked by a building so that was also disappointing. Pool/beach area was well maintained and the staff in those locations were friendly and helpful. The shampoo and conditioner were terrible - we are still tying to get the knots out of our hair. Overall our stay was good but not sure we will return or recommend.

Amazing room, grounds, facilities and staff.
Elegant and tasteful decor. A wonderful stay. Never ending pools, restaurants, bars, activities and shopping to choose from. The rosewood itself never felt over crowded and staff go out of their way to accomodate you.

Only a few minor things like final touches in cleaning and items not in the room as requested. Despite the amazing restaurants on site room service is limited.

When we booked a room we booked a resort view unfortunately we ended up on the first floor in room 127 the only view we had of the resort was ship lack boarding on both sides and thick brush. We had zero view of the property. Our friends that we booked the hotel with had a 10th floor room and a much better view than we had. Unfortunately our keys did not work to the room we had to go back to the Front desk to have them reprogrammed. Also make sure to double check your bill we had a few missed charges on our bill that we did not purchase. We did notify the staff and they did make the correction and apologize for the errors. The cleaning staff does do a great job. Just a small issue dirty rags were left in our room the cleaning staff did come back for them.

I have been travelling to Bahamas for about 30 years now and have stayed mostly on Paradise Island. Normally I stay at the Cove but I wanted to stay at the new Rosewood resort. Listen there were many staff that were quite helpful but there were definitely staff that really should undergo service quality checks. It felt like the resort just opened and were working out the bugs. The main issue was follow through - I am not sure how many times staff said they were taking care of something and it fell through. Even trying to get a driver to go to paradise island was a ordeal for them - they were not exactly the most helpful. Don't get me wrong the place is quite nice and it has beautiful grounds and I loved Marcus Baha Mar Fish Chop House - great food. But for the cost and expense claiming to be a luxury resort with un paralleled services - I think there might be better options for a 3 night stay. This is just my experience I am sure others have had better stays there.
