The room we booked was quite small so we asked to upgrade to a suite. We were offered an upgrade for a very reasonable price. Our suite was perfect. Plenty of room, a real kitchen, separate bedroom and a large patio.

Staff is friendly and resort is nice, peaceful, and well-appointed. The only thing was the last night of my stay, a car alarm kept going off every 10 mins or so and this lasted for 2-3 hours. I last heard it around 9:30-10pm and had emailed the front desk to please address the issue. I never heard back, but the noise did cease. I’ve stayed here multiple times, so this was an exception.

The place has some charm and appealing factors, but is not 4 star not worth the price Seriously outdated, fixtures that are falling apart or low quality, and just so many amenities and features that are subpar that this resort is not near the standard for 4 star. The location is appreciable, nice and safe, feels comfortable once you accept concessions. Everything is overpriced, $28 for a bland, soulless omelet and processed orange juice. Staff is decent, didn't get extra towels after the first night which for the price is concerning. I can see kids having fun in the pool area for families. I did enjoy the hammocks outside of our room along the canal. Property has convenience store, pharmacy, restaurants all accessible which was a great plus. It's not directly on the beach, and the access to the beach is both convenient and a little off-putting (have to go under bridged on other side of the road) at the same time. So all in all, if it were more directly located on the water, or at a lower price point there would be more value.

Hotel website does not itemize room amenities in enough detail, our 1st room specified king bed with kitchenette (no mention of cutlery or plates etc.) however there was no table and chair to eat although misc. pics portrayed them - had to upgrade to a larger room + extra cost to provide this. The hotel is “well worn” with various “needs maintenance” subjects -(1) pool water not clear more foggy, one pool ladder with only 1 step set so high you coul pull your groin getting out, inner edge of pool looks dirty with scum (2) two room drain plugs broken (3) low water pressure in shower , bathroom floor tiles chipped (4) coffer maker missing slow drip component (was replaced with new). Had to pay for some water. Staff were great very accommodating, friendly and helpful special thanks to Pam and Alex. Plenty of bath towels provided but had to sign out beach towels….why? Felt safe on the resort and Nassau in general. Several very good restaurents near by (Spritz & Poop Deck) + grocery store walking distance. The private beach was so so - nice sand, aquamarine water with rock shelf repeating ok for snorkeling but difficult for swimming.

The lagoon area is great for swimming and not having to worry about what the sea is doing. There is a beach on the Caribbean about a 3mon walk. Expect lots of kids. You can take public bus to Nassau in about 20-30 mins- costs 1.50 a person. Taxis are 30-40$. Several restaurants close to the hotel- food on the island is expensive for why it is. Expect 15% tip and 10% vat added on- this is what makes it more expensive.

We liked thy we were away from Nassau- busy from 7am till 7pm when the boats are in.

Overall great stay- we have been to several other islands in the Caribbean to scuba. We did this with our teenage sons since they do not scuba. They had fun. We had fun. What more can you ask for.

So much marine wildlife! Fabulous variety of restaurants nearby. We saw stingrays and turtles nearly every day. Beaching facilities great. The hammocks were so relaxing. Just wish they had paddle-boards for hire. Then it would have been perfect.

Sandyport was a great stay overall. It’s very family-friendly and the rooms are spacious, which made it really comfortable for our trip. I felt safe the entire time, and the location was super convenient with nearby restaurants and stores.
The staff was very pleasant and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. The only downsides were that the property is slightly dated and I do wish they had a gym on-site.
Overall, it was affordable, relaxing, and a solid choice — I’d rate it an 8/10

This property is fine. It’s not bad, it’s not great. If you’re looking for a place to stay that is by the beach but otherwise, just a place to stay, this will do. The beach area is nice. It’s very small as it’s blocked on both sides and there are rocks every few feet in the water but can definitely find a spot in between to go in the water. Property listed as 4 star resort. It is more like a good 3 star. Our room - good space but several things hadn’t been addressed. TV in bedroom wouldn’t turn off (had to unplug). AC in living room leaking down the wall since we checked in and no one looked at it the whole time, dishwasher was running when we got there and was beeping every few minutes and wouldn’t turn off. Someone came and asked if we needed it and just unplugged it for our stay. Nothing major but maybe this was a nice 4 star resort when first built. The photos online look touched up compared to what we got, particularly the pool area. Food is not great. The croissant at breakfast tasted like plastic grocery store bought and warmed up in microwave. Everything is expensive. Again, it’s all just fine. Nothing exciting. I would recommend using the discount code to book a day at Baha Mar Resort’s water park. Kids loved it and I sat there by the beach the whole day.

This area has everything needed for a relaxed getaway. We stayed on the lagoon side and enjoyed a walk out patio directly to the beach. Everything is within walking distance, including a lovely coffee shop, local grocery store, and multiple waterfront eateries. The staff was so considerate and helped plan an excursion to the Clifton Cay National Park. If going to visit this island in the Bahamas, I fully recommend staying here.

Room was in terrible shape.
Dishwasher falling apart and not properly adhered to counter space.
Pull out bed was unusable. It was described as being able to sleep 4. We had 3 people and 2 had to sleep on the floor. The pull out matters was thin and torn. Some of the springs were missing from the support. The large king size bed had terrible motion transfer which made it difficult to share with another person. We had made multiple requests for a rollaway bed that were not responded to.
The shower knobs didn't work properly and the cold wouldn't turn off.
All TV channels were fuzzy, better if you use your own Netflix account.
Ocean access point isn't very swimmable due to reef at shoreline. The area is not well maintained and we found many sharp metal scraps and broken glass.

We have stayed here twice now, both times with a small child. Having many restaurants in such close proximity was perfect, as was the kitchen and proximity of the pool or inlet. The grounds are well kept, rooms a tad in need of some TLC but well maintained overall. It was so nice being away from downtown and in such a serene area. We will be back!

We loved our stay.

We’re a family of three—two adults (one pregnant) and a nine-year-old—and Sandyport was exactly what we needed: small, safe, and relaxed.

We stayed in a ground-floor suite, which was perfect for us. It had two bathrooms, one king bed, and a pull-out couch, and kitchen. The room was tidied every morning, essentials were restocked, and everything looked great.

The pool area is ideal for younger kids—small enough for them to enjoy safely. That said, it may not be the best fit for teens, as they might get bored. A few more lounge chairs around the pool would also be a nice improvement.

The beach is right there and it’s fantastic.

As for restaurants, there are quite a few within easy walking distance, which is a big plus. However, the quality of food and service can be inconsistent, and prices are high for what you get. Expect fairly standard American-style menus. That said, our favourites were Mi Bi’s and Bon Vivants (drinks). The Twisted Lime and Blue Sail were disappointing. We ended up walking to the grocery store for fresh food, milk, and breakfast items—both to save money and to eat a bit better.

The resort itself is a bit dated, but in a charming way.

One downside was that we noticed some garbage around the property that didn’t seem to get picked up, and throughout our week-long stay, our suite’s towels were never refreshed (may be an extra charge).

Overall, the resort is quiet, family-friendly, and accessible.

The room was small and outdated. It was poorly designed; the shelves in the closet were right by the door so you could hardly access have of them. There were 4 total hangers total in the closet. The toilet was so close to the wall and the toilet paper roll was like practically on the floor. The shower pressure was non existent and the water was either scalding or cold. There were three people in our room and if there was a fourth, it would’ve been impossible. We couldn’t fit our luggage or stuff anywhere. The pool was cloudy. It is very easy to get scammed by taxi drivers and some of the front desk staff seem to be in on it. Pam was wonderful and helpful at the desk.

We just had a wonderful stay at Sandyport Beach Resort. The main beach and the lagoon are gorgeous. We swam in the pool each day and waded/swam in the sea as well. It was wonderful and never felt crowded. There were always chairs available at the beach and around the pool, with plenty of options for shade or sun. It is a short walk (15mins) to the grocery store, and only 5 mins to a number of great restaurants and a sporting goods store if you've forgotten anything.

Some of the rooms at the resort have been renovated and others have not, as you can see in the pics. We had an older room and it was a bit 'tired' but didn't take away from our enjoyment at all. The beds were comfortable, the a/c was quiet, and everything else worked as it should. We did have a noisy neighbour in the adjoining room, but I don't know how the resort could improve on that.

The staff were all very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The whole Sandyport neighbourhood has a cheery relaxed vibe. Restaurants are expensive but with everything being imported it is not surprising. We had our usual cereal breakfast, but ate out for lunch and dinner. Our favourite restaurants were Twisted Lime for dinners, the Blue Sail Bar & Grill for lunch with a view of the beach, and the News Cafe for lunch while watching the sea turtles and nurse sharks on the deck across the street. Bob Vivants is also a must visit for a cappuccino and pastry.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Sandyport Beach Resort was outstanding. We had a deluxe room /2 Queens with a lagoon view. The room was outstanding, the cleaning staff were fabulous. Can't say enough about the quietness of the resort and the ability to relax. If your looking to stay somewhere away from the chaos of the big resorts then Sandyport is the place for you. Great restaurants in the community conch shack selling outstanding cocktails and food during the day and an easy walk to the main road to catch a bus into downtown Nassau.

No airport shuttle to resort as advertised but taxi cabs are abundant. The entire staff at the resort was friendly and accommodating as one should anticipate. Our suite with kitchen (located on the lagoon) was perfect for our wants and needs. Resort has loungers and comfortable hammocks located throughout the property. Access to good food choices within walking distance. (I recommend Mi & B.) Lagoon and beach was nice, and ocean with nice beach was nearby. Room itself was a bit rundown but good enough to call homey for a week!

Sandyport Beach Resort is a wonderful place. And what makes it super special are the people who work there. Make sure to book the Kayak trip with Lady Sarah. And eat a conch salad made by Jonathan at the Conch shack (and make sure to watch how he gets the conch out of the shell!). Room was comfortable and clean, with nice amenities. You have the option to swim in either the tamer lagoon, or the ocean. Check out the lounge beds by the ocean. Some delicious restaurants and cool shops just a step away. Make a trip to the pharmacy as they have wonderful snacks. If you want a float, there's a sports shop two steps away. If I could ask for anything, it would be for some of those wonderful Adirondack chairs on the lagoon side, or even one of those lounge beds! Thank you for my wonderful stay!

This is a fantastic resort! The room was clean and comfortable and looked just like the website photos. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were -- every single one of them -- friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Lady Sara, the concierge, can fix up any excursions a guest might want to do.
There is a nice pool area with slides for the kids. There are hammocks and games and loungers available. We had a lagoon room, which was peaceful and enchanting. The beach has nice sand and good swimming, with plenty of sea creatures to look at. Good restaurants are within easy walking distance. The resort offers a tasty breakfast, too. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. We had a wonderful time!

When we were thinking we would be stranded because of the weather they said “don’t worry we got you”. Our stay at Sandyport was exceptional! The staff was amazing. Friendly, happy, and helpful. The room was clean and having a decent size fridge was a plus. The bed was comfortable enough. Housekeeping came daily when we were out. The amenities were as advertised. Soft sandy beach and beautiful blue ocean on one side and a calmer harbor beach experience and swimming area on the other side. This time it was just my wife and I. Next time we will come with the family.

We had an upstairs room (524) with a great view to the inlet, lagoon and beach. Whilst the interior design is tired, the exterior village looks fantastic in the pastel colours. The kitchen is functional but a bit delapidated, yet it suited our needs. A big comfortable bed, good shower and kept clean. We weren’t sure about the huge corner bath next to the bed (!!) whether it ever gets used or not. Pigeons favoured our balcony and had to be discouraged and cleaned up after before using it.
The stairway needed a good hoover and for the staff to look up and see the cobwebs.
That said, having lots of restaurants within walking distance and places to explore was a real plus. A bus service outside the door to Nassau town proved great fun. I joined the gym for a week ($45) and it was an excellent and friendly facility, rivalling the commercial gyms back home.
We had breakfast by reception and received a generous cooked breakfast.
The staff were very attentive and friendly at all time
The grounds are a work in progress but we loved the little secluded inlet beach area with the hammocks, access to the pool and Conch Bar.
Being a one bed large apartment, not sure how families might manage - but there were families with small children and it never disturbed us - the facilities were perfect for them too.
Overall, an excellent place to visit and stay. Great locality, things to do, plenty of nice of eateries locally.

The staff was very friendly, like everyone else in the Bahamas. The \"resort\" needs a facelift. I am sure it was a 5 star resort back in the day. Our bathroom had mold in the shower(which was only a trickle), cracked tile and a cheap vanity. The mini fridge made noise all night. I felt like i spent five star money for a two star property. Once again, the staff was very nice.

Enjoyed my 5-night stay at Sandyport thanks to the housekeeping staff who made sure my room was clean, the front desk staff for catering to my whims and questions, as well as maintenance who came within 5 minutes when I had a slight issue with my sink and my AC. They fixed everything right away so I could enjoy the rest of my stay and did so with a good spirt and pleasant attitude The grounds are beautiful, plenty of food options on-site and/or within walking distance, and the price was right. Will definitely stay again when I return. Thanks Sandyport and may God bless the Bahamas as a whole!!

There was never any Internet connection the entire stay which was disappointing when trying to connect to meetings.
The bathroom had to hook on the door to hang towels and the towel rod above the toilet was missing. There was a rod laying on the floor but it was squared tip and did not fit into the circular ends. Between the shower liner and shower curtain there was black mold.

The room was cleaned everyday, staff were warm and helpful. The grounds were stunning and surrounded by everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed the 2 min walk to the ocean beach everyday and when the sun started to lower we went to our lagoon beach which stayed hot and sunny till the sun set. It was wonderful stepping onto the beach right from our room. We enjoyed our morning coffee walks, looking for shells and looking at the marine life. We were lucky to see a family of stingrays and large sea turtles. Our trip was magical and romantic and it felt like we were the only two people. Very quiet resort for family our a romantic getaway. Thanks Sandy Port Beach Resort. We’re already looking to plan our next trip, and maybe with our teen daughters next time.

This Resort is in a great location ; so many wonderful restaurants in walking distance.
Very peaceful, relaxing, lagoon, and beach on one side, large pool area in the centre of things along with the beach bar with assorted snacks, light meals, and drinks.
Great restaurant available for breakfast along with many units with kitchens for those who prefer to prepare their own food and snacks.
Short ride from the airport.
Also set my great strip of beach, which is fairly quiet and private beside the ocean front.
We would definitely consider returning to this resort for a nice quiet family holiday.

It was okay at best for the price. No shuttle service although it was listed. Also bureau was completely broken and room had one bed instead of two which I booked. Staff was somewhat friendly but somewhat standoffish.

Standard rooms are too small and very outdated. They are motel-like and quite claustrophobic, especially those without balconies. They are also not worth the hefty nightly rate nor the additional person fees as they are not at all suited for a family of 4 despite the 2 queen beds. Deluxe rooms on the other hand not only offer more space but are updated at the level one would expect paying for the standard rooms.

Our first impression we werent so sure, had a lagoon room and loved that we could walk onto the stand and onto hameck. Loved the restaruant nearby and beach was super clean and convenient. Love the feeling of it being private and close to everything but not in the mid of it all. ideal for privacy. :)
