Ocean West is a 10-room boutique hotel and is Nassau's newest luxury hotel and vacation rental superbly situated seventy feet above sea level with breathtaking views of Lake Killarney to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. We are an exclusive resort with remote access only for our guests.
This resort is located in the western district of New Providence and we are a 5 minute drive from Lynden Pindling International Airport. Located just minutes away from the Cable Beach strip, which features casino gaming, fine dining and exciting nightlife, Ocean West Hotel was once a private residence and construction of this building began in 1989 and was completed in 1993.
Renovations to the residence began in 2014 and completed in 2015 converting it into a boutique hotel. The original architect was Henry Melich who's concept and design for this building were taken from Palladian architecture which was derived and inspired by designs of venetian architect Andrea Palladio, who was born in Italy in 1508 and died in 1580.
Hence, the drawings are an evolution of Palladio's original concept.
With a stay at Ocean West Boutique Hotel in Nassau, you'll be by the ocean, within a 5-minute drive of Cable Beach and Caves Beach. This beach hotel is 8.9 mi (14.3 km) from Junkanoo Beach and 10 mi (16.1 km) from Atlantis Casino.

If you would like some seclusion and isolation and quiet and peace. This is for you if you’re looking for a loud noise and dance and all you can drink do not come.

Nearby Cave beach is walking distance and beautiful, despite being near the road, with a lot of soft sand and less coral. Would gladly return.

My husband and I had an overnight layover in Nassau and chose to stay at Ocean West Boutique Hotel. I wish we stayed another day to truly take advantage of this beautiful hotel and the city too. The hotel is not only beautiful to look and at explore but it also extremely clean an inviting. The location is ideal, located just a few minutes from the airport and across from the waters edge with a dramatic drive way. The staff wear many hats and are friendly and professional in every role. When we g back to Nassau this will be our go to hotel!

Just as described. A lovely, quiet spot with beautiful beach views and friendly staff. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and the A/C worked very well. It’s a hotel but feels more like a big private home. A hot breakfast is available a la carte, but be aware the hotel does not have a restaurant on site to offer lunch or dinner. There are two good restaurants at the bottom of the hill with views of the ocean across the road: one an beachside bar and restaurant, and one more formal. They are within walking distance, but be aware that if you walk down the hill you will also need to walk back up. The hotel did offer transportation to the airport. Overall it was a great spot for me to relax for a quick overnight trip to the island. If I were staying longer, I probably would have wanted a car to get out and explore.

The hotel is beautiful. The people at the desk became my friends and are so helpful and sweet. I adored them. The breakfast was such a nice convenience. The private driving service can get expensive but it was also so helpful and cheaper than getting a cab! parts of the room seemed a little aged more than I would like but overall it was nice. I had some leftovers in a container and in the morning they were covered in tiny ants. They are very common on the island with drinks or food so you can’t leave anything out. The beach nearby i absolutely loved bc it was so quiet and peaceful with a tiki bar that also sold food. Overall, I had a great time

Charge for airport shuttle service is a negative. The tv was turned on for use then later went dead. We were given no information regarding use of a very complex remote. We’ve already gone a good share of the evening without tv. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are very good.

Being up the hillside from the beach and the road made this a quiet place to stay, and a very impressive hotel to arrive at. It's in a lovely setting with a long tree-lined driveway running down the hill towards the sea, and the rooms that are sea-facing have balconies with fantastic views. The rooms are well-decorated, and very clean and tidy. There's a Mediterranean feel about their design. Because it's the Bahamas, the staff are friendly and relaxed and helpful. We had such a lovely time here that it will be the only place that we'd consider staying next time we're on this island.

They offer breakfast in a beautiful dining location overlooking the ocean in the distance. It is a quick walk to the beach. It is easily accessible to the downtown for $1.25 on the 10 or 12 bus. It's doable without a car, but I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you are OK with taking a taxi both ways every day, anywhere. They do provide a somewhat more affordable taxi service themselves, although it can be limited.

Also whilst I loved my room it should have been built in a way to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings— But that’s what you get when you take an old house and renovated into a hotel.

Some people didn’t like the beach but we felt it was perfect to lay out on, it was quiet and non overrun by tourists which was great. We spent every day there! We loved the Sunset beach club which is right down the hill from the hotel, do yourself a favor and get the shrimp tacos!! Such a pretty place to watch the sunset. We had the best 5 days here and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, we can’t wait to come back!!!
