The room was very clean and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
As a solo traveller, I felt very safe. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
Only thing I can think of that would be useful to have is a vending machine for at least water.
But everything else was great!!

Staff seem genuinely friendly. The guy who checked me in gave me options for which room I got (higher or lower, with a view or quieter away from traffic), and offered and wrote me out a list of restaurant recommendations, and each time I arrived or departed, the staff on the desk would acknowledge me walking past. Room was clean and everything worked. Bathroom clean. And a couple of chocolates, too!!

I wanted outdoor space so I traded \"luxury\" for \"comfortable\" and booked the junior suite at Allegro. It provides a cold plunge pool, lounge chairs and outdoor \"bed\" on the top floor. The room was fine. The linens - sheets, towels, etc - are average but the bed was comfortable, the water was hot and there were enough outlets for computers, etc. If you like having outdoor space and the price is right (ie $400), this is a great deal.

The hotel is average, but needs some TLE. It has two small elevators, and one of them is broken. The room was decent, but we found a cotton swab at one of the nightstands. The some of the light fixtures in the room are installed wired, it looks like they’re missing a piece. Staff is nice and helpful.

The room window opened into the sitting area on in front of the elevators. I did not know that there was essentially no window when I booked it online. It was itherwise a comfortable cave that was well lit when it needed to be. The fridge wasn't working and they swapped it out for me.The breakfast buffet had all the basics. The location was good - close to the metro and lots of things walkable to from it.

A little noisy but overall a good stay

Friendly staff and a very comfy bed. I enjoyed the location being so walkable to a lot of main sites. My only issues are some of the noises. I'm not sure where they are coming from, but I think the AC is squealing and there is another noise that sounds like the subway, but I don't think it is the subway. Also, someone upstairs was hammering.

We had a fantastic stay. The terrace room is very nice. The only feedback I would give is that the breakfast buffet is quite humble, which is fine however the bread options we are all stale - rock solid old bread.
Only one of the elevators was working so it was always a wait to go to our room. Otherwise everything was lovely and we really enjoyed it.

It was a good hotel. Lots of space and clean.

A few minor design flaws:
1. The hooks in the shower are rounded, so your towel doesn’t stay on
2. The shower temp fluctuates as you’re showering from a little cold to a little too hot which makes your showers a little uncomfortable
3. The shower drains don’t drain fast enough, they have this weird bars that partially closes the drain. The shower started to fill up all the way to the point where it was about to overflow out of the shower and it had only been 3-4 mins. I had to remove the bar to fully expose the drain then it drained at the proper rate.

Very centrally located!! Just a few steps from the Provença GFC line and a short walk away to Diagonal metro stop. The room was average, and had quirky furnishings. One thing I didn’t like was that the hallways inside the hotel are dim and dark so at night it can feel a bit sketchy. But what made me feel safe was that the elevator does not go up without a keycard. Additionally, some of the furnishings in the room didn’t look as clean but I guess that’s all hotel furnishings after consistent use. The mini-fridge was a nice thing to have in the room, but it did not keep things cold which was a downside.

We had a room on the first floor which looked out onto a lobby area, which meant it didn’t receive any natural light. As we came to Barcelona for the Primavera festival, this worked in our favour due to the festival being through the night. It might not have been ideal if we were coming for any other reason. We stayed here for my hen do and had a great time overall. We booked four rooms, which ended up being spread across different floors—not ideal for a group, but manageable. The beds were incredibly comfortable; I had the best night's sleep in ages and even woke up without my usual back ache!
Breakfast was a highlight—plenty of choice and everything was regularly topped up. The Wi-Fi was a bit of a letdown though; it only worked reliably in reception and the breakfast area, not in the rooms.
The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the hotel felt secure thanks to the keycard-only entrance system. Location-wise, it’s about a 20-minute walk to La Rambla, but the metro is just around the corner and super easy to use. Taxis were also readily available right outside.
One disappointment: I booked expecting access to a pool, as it was advertised on several websites. Unfortunately, the pool is exclusive to the penthouse, which wasn’t made clear—so that was a bit misleading.

Wonderful place to Stay

The rooms were very cute and clean. I love the updated look. The bathtub (needs a plug) was huge! A great place to relax after a long day of visiting Barcelona. The Public Transportation was about a block away. I am not used to using subways in the city I live and it was really easy to navigate.

We even had a package delivered to us before we arrived and they held the package until we arrived. Wonderful customer service! The hotel felt very safe and secure. You need a key to enter the building, so the busyness of the street is not an issue at all. There is even a grocery store across the street for anything you may need.

Plenty of food options around the building.

The only complaint I had about this place was the efficiency of the elevators. They worked fine, but felt like they may need some servicing.

This was our second stay at Allegro. Friendly staff, clean rooms more than adequate for our stays. The only thing I would say is this time we were at the front and on the first floor, the people noise from the bar next door was fairly loud, and we were a lot more aware of the noise/shaking from I assume the metro. We didn't notice/hear that from the inside 5th floor last time.

The location was great. Basic hotel. No outdoor space and no proper lobby to hang out and have a drink in but it was fine for a short stay. There was a bit of confusion about the beds when I arrived but it was fixed with extra money, which I felt I shouldn't have had to pay as it was something I inquired on before I arrived and booked but the charge was quite small, so not worth arguing over.

The staff was helpful and kind on my last day and allowed me a later check out which was very appreciated.
