I used to stay here when I visited Brussels more often and I was pleased that it was still a friendly hotel with good breakfast options and good facilities. The staff are really helpful and the location is great for being in a nice area close to shops, the metro, and Midi station.

Hotel Review – 6-Night Stay

The location was excellent, and the reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a good variety of options. The only issue was with housekeeping, as the bedding was not changed during the 6-night stay.

However, the hotel staff apologized and handled the situation kindly. Because of their attitude and great service overall, a return visit is definitely planned.

On avait demandé une chambre avec grand lit on s'est retrouvé avec des petits lits pas de gel douche ni de bouilloire et une machine à café qui ne fonctionne pas même si on a reçu du chocolat en guise d'excuse.
Je trouve que pour le prix c'est abusé. On a pris une 4 etoiles pour avoir du confort et je trouve que c'est décevant.
Dans nos critères de sélection on avait aussi le parking arrivée sur place pas de parking publicité mensongère.

i’d recommend to my friends

Very clean and friendly. Staff were especially helpful in every way. The room was larger than expected and quiet for the most part all night. The lighting I the room was good. The location is an easy walk to major tourist sites and to a Metro Station.

There could be a few more choices of restaurants in the area but enough to provide some options.

The hotel breakfast was very good with fruit, salad, eggs and sausage, lots of bread options, yogurts etc. A great value.

They have a program for multi-night stays that rewards you with free drinks if you don’t need your room cleaned the next day…. Loved it!

Good but needs some care & attention

Very warm welcome, big room, big comfortable bed, good air con. Downsides: bit shabby, for instance, dust on the replacement toilet roll and desk draws as well as under the bed. Coffee machine didn't work and no kettle. Service staff came in even though do not disturb sign was shown. Initial strange smell, but could open the window so was fine. Overall, a good, friendly hotel in a great location but needs a bit of TLC.

Unfortunately a shadow of what this hotel used to be. Used it many times in last 10 years not just for myself but my staff while in town. Fact is they send you a \"welcome and thanks for booking with us email\" but when you reply and tell the the last stay was a disaster apparently they didn't get it and made exactly the same mistakes again.
So please dont book anything above a basic room as you won't get without having to ask any bathrobe, slippers or pillow menu and the room size difference is so small you wont notice it.
Give breakfast a miss if you British as it's very bad value for money with just 2 hot offerings you would expect scrambled eggs and chicken (yep chicken) sausages.

Great hotel in an excellent neighborhood

Hotel was in a convenient location, clean and comfortable. The room was quiet, area was safe and there were lots of coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets walking distance from hotel. There are loads of lovely clothing shops up the road from the hotel.

Our First room had a non-stop buzzing sound, we asked for a new room, and when we arrived to the second room the door was unlocked. We felt very unsafe and we left to get another hotel. Still waiting on our refund, the property manager has agreed to it, but Expedia is not issuing the refund. I definitely won’t book with Expedia in the future, way too much hassle when you need customer care.

We had a great time with NH in Geneva , that is why we think NH Stephanie would be the same but … No . The only great side is the location , other than that everything are very poor . Bathroom are stain , broken sink , bathtub is yellow . Empty fridge with no temperature . Worst thing is the Kettle !!! Smelly and dirty with some kind of moles inside which is unacceptable , i rang the reception twice for an exchange , he said ok but disappear like dont even care . We wont be back !

O hotel é bem localizado, proxímo a estações de metro e tram, com vários restaurantes bons muito próximos, e a 20 minutos a pé no máximo, da maior parte dos pontos turísticos principais da cidade, e em uma rua silenciosa. O hotel está em boas condições gerais e é muito bem limpo. A tv possui numero bem limitado de canais, o que para turistas não faz diferença. O serviço da recepção foi ótimo em todos os momentos da estada, especial agradecimento ao Sr. Patrick.O único porém foi a maneira que um funcionário do serviço do café da manhã me censurou de maneira rude \"you dont do this\", por colocar um waffle para aquecer na torradeira, o que é comum de se fazer em qualquer hotel do mundo, e quando não havia nenhum aviso de como fazé-lo da maneira correta, em vez de me orientar como o fazer. Fora esse incidente pontual, a estada foi muito boa, e eu recomento o NH Brussels Stéphanie, para quem desejar uma hospedagem tranquila e agradável em Bruxelas.

There is some street noise (mostly boisterous pedestrians at night/early morning) audible from rooms. I'm not sure if thicker glass could block out. This was the only drawback in an otherwise very pleasant stay. We would return and recommend to others.

Stayed here many times but never again.

Been to this hotel many times before in last 20 year's. From the moment we tried to check in the guy on reception although very polite tried to charge us again for our already pre paid room. Dispite me showing him the booking confirmation which clearly said \"paid\" he just kept say it wasn't and that although hotels.com says its paid he hasn't taken payment yet!

10 minutes later we was still going backwards and forwards showed him the bank transaction that had been paid from online banking. Eventually he looked at the correct booking to discover it was indeed paid! Waste of time.
I had already requested a top floor room as previously had many times as we booked the best room type.
Get told we was in a superior room which we clearly wasn't.
Had requested tea and milk in the room as we don't drink coffee but nothing although like the payment he did spot this afterwards.
Only 1 of the 2 lifts working and had been out of order for over a month.
No tv remote.
Room on 2nd floor
And to top it all the maid lets herself in to cop an eye full in the morning!
Not worth the money is the truth.

The breakfast was decent with a good variety of items to choose from and the location is excellent, one of the best areas to stay in Brussels for eating out, shopping, etc. My biggest gripe is the lack of amenities in the room, such as an unstocked minibar (Covid protocol that remains in effect here) and not even complimentary water bottles. You can order water by using the QR code but it will cost you. 4-star hotels in Europe normally provide complimentary water bottles as standard. There is no 24-hour menu a la carte room service, only the minibar service. There is no gym. Otherwise good for a short stay, though for me 4 days was pushing it.

The staff was amazing, they made us feel welcome right away. They helped us find local facilities and navigate the city. The room was spaced out well, we had enough space for three of us to pack and unpack our luggage without feeling cramped. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job of cleaning our room. We never saw anyone, but their work was impeccable. Breakfast was great, the week day chef was so friendly and treated each guest like they were his only guest. great way to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was not completely clean and I found a hair on my bathroom floor that was not mine. Also, I left my earrings on the bathroom and one got lost probably when the cleaning lady went to clean the restroom. However, the breakfast buffet was good, the wifi worked fine and when I forgot a bag full of things at my room after checkout I was able to pick it up, and everything was in there.

Weekend away stay in Brussels

The bed is one of the best beds I have ever slept in. It is wonderful. Also, the shower is great.
However, the hotel itself I would not recommend. It is built on a busy road, in a very popular area for nights out and the sound-proofing in the building is appalling. You can hear people walk on the street, let alone drive or sing. Despite the inconvenience of this noise, the hotel does not provide ear plugs and as there were no rooms left in the hotel, suggested we check out at midnight when we were unable to sleep.
You can also hear the elevator from your room and people talking in the room next to you. It really does not offer a sense of privacy at all.

Ok, but...

The stay was generally Ok with a few exceptions:

1) There was no clear time posted anywhere when the clearer should finish with your room. (came back to the room at 2:00 PM and it hadn't been touched)
2) Part of it was a building site.
3) Coming out of the lift someone left an open step ladder in front of it.

Good location, just a little tired.

Great location and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is a little dated and you can see its had a long hard life in places. The room had A/C but you needed to put your ear plugs in to get to sleep. Also the noise from the road outside was noticeable, with the window shut you could still hear cars, and people talking in the street. I was on the 4th floor.

Renovated, clean and well-sized rooms, with less than ideal shower. Low ceilings and low pressure. Location of property is okay- go uphill and you will get to a nice part of town. The downhill part of town is not as appealing and definitely not touristy. The staff is great.

Nice clean good service hotel in good location.

The hotel is excellent location close to main road and in quiet street. It is close to restaurants and all the major view points by walk distance.
The hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. They even gave me map and explained major locations and tips for other cities by train.
Room is good size, good shower and good bed. Very clean.
The hotel provides free water for drinking at lobby anytime with candy snack. Nice touch.
Hotel was nice enough to give me shave kit when I asked for- free of charge- really nice of them.
A+ overall. Would stay again for sure.

Cons:
Our 1st floor room was on the street side and there was building works going on outside which started VERY early in the morning and were so noisy with hammering, drilling and the constant sound of reversing lorries.

That said, we would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Brussels.

I liked that this hotel wasnt in the very touristy area. Great eating selection a block away. Friendly check-in & all around hospitality. Clean, decent size room. I had trouble sleeping here due to street noise, I was on the 1st floor & I'm a light sleeper, also I like to watch TV at night to fall asleep, was confused by their set up.

A delightful Hotel

The NH Brussels Stephanie hotel is a gem, perfectly located in a quiet area (slept with window open), the staff are exceptional and I have to name one employee - Armando whose cheerful disposition and advice made our stay a joy! The hotel is within walking distance of Brussels Midi train station and close to cafes ,shopping and most of the tourist sites. I would highly recommend it for others to stay in.and look forward to returning for a future stay!

Only down side is that there was a lot of building work going on within the immediate vicinity of the hotel with new buildings being erected or renovated. The noise from pile drivers and other such machinery started at 07.00 and was then non-stop. So it would be ok if you were on a business trip with an early rise but not good if you were on vacation.

Great staff, ok hotel.

The great weather tested the hotel room with the air conditioning being very poor and thus the room was hot. The hotel staff are great and one issue we had was resolved instantly.
We didn't have breakfast included and it was drastically over priced, you could walk up the road and get a great breakfast for half the price.

We were staying in room 308 and noted the Air conditioning did not work. We also didn’t get any milk provided for coffee and tea which was disappointing.

Good location. Especially like that its close to a famous indian restaurant Sarvana Bhavan. Location is bang in the center of the city, very happening. Breakfast is good. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are nice and big. All facilities are good. I did not feel it lacked anything. Maybe keep the minibar free ;-)

Great hotel , great location

Very good hotel. Very Convenient to metro, restaurants and Ave Luise. Breakfast was good. Staff at the reception very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent close to Midi station and walking distance to Grand Place. I would stay there again. Easy connection to the airport taking the metro and the train t to and from Midi .
