The fact that we couldn't speak much Spanish, it would have been nice if the gentlemen working the front desk knew a bit more English. The young lady at the desk when we arrived was very helpful.

There also seemed to be a shortage of towels. There were two of us staying in our room. Some days they did not give enough towels for the two of us, and one day we didn't receive any towels at all. We had to call the front desk.

The restaurant was nice, and the food was good. However, I did feel a bit uncomfortable with the wait staff. I had a feeling they were discussing us and not in a good way.

The mattress in room 409 was like sleeping on the floor, it was so extremely hard, it didn't even feel like a matteress, I was not sleep fot the three nights I stayes there.
Also the bathroom does have a fan so it's very inconvenient.

The hotel is close to down town by walking 15 min or car about 8 minutes. The hotel doesn’t offer coffee maker or tea maker in the room as there is no water bottle placed as a courtesy. The price at the lobby for a water bottle is $4.50 a bit excessive so as the room price in my opinion, maybe it was a high season.

Great hotel in a good location. If you don't mind walking to the main site areas it is situated along the river Manzares with lovely park lanes bordering the river . Quiet rooms with nice views over the park. Breakfast options are plentiful. Pleasant staff . Ciuld use ironing boards and an iron in the room.

Close enough to the city center where you can take a bus right outside the hotel, but far enough where it's not noisy or crowded. It's also situated by the river where many locals are seen exercising from the early hours. The breakfast buffet was a great source of nourishment before our daily hikes around the city.

After traveling all over Europe it was nice to be at this hotel since it was close to many restaurants and famous landmarks. Not only that if you want to workout you can follow the river and take a stroll in the morning or late evening.

The hotel is very nice, great location and a restaurant right downstairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable, I could feel the springs through the fabric, and the water in the shower goes from scalding hot to freezing cold intermittently while showering. If it weren’t for these issues I would say 5 stars.

A well situated hotel on the river

We enjoyed our stay overall but were very disappointed with the service in both the bar and the restaurant which was slow and unfriendly.
Also,the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in our room was a lack. Carrying paper cups of boiling water upstairs was not ideal.

Fantastic stay at this hotel in Madrid.
Close to the center, either walking or with bus (or Uber/Bolt).
Easy access to the underground parking (very secure, lots of space).
Very pet friendly! Our dog received a nice soft bed, some treats and two bowls.
Comfortable room with a big bed and a nice bathroom (with bathtub).
Very friendly staff (thank you Sara)!

Muy buen servicio del main desk, la ubicación está un poco lejos del centro pero tienen un servicio muy bueno de taxis además que el camión pasa en la esquina, el desayuno es bueno pero falta variedad y lo único que la limpieza del cuarto bastante mala, no cambian las sábanas ni limpian bien los baños además de dejarnos las mismas toallas mojadas a pesar de dejarlas en la tina para que las cambiaran creo deberían hacer revisión de limpieza de los cuartos más seguido por lo demás el servicio de los de la entrada muy atentos y serviciales.

This was a great hotel most of the staff was helpful and the breakfast was great . Only issue I had when the lady at the front desk won’t give my bag when I had ticket for it and my bag had my name it . Other than that it was a great hotel for a great price.

Great location near metro. Would stay again. Not in city center which makes it quiet but close enough to metro statio to get to city center. My only issue was the front desk girl. She looked/sounded like she didnt want to be there. Other than that, I'd give it a 5 star review.

There was no drinking water in the room free of charge or non free, I was asked to buy water at hotel bar but they didn’t have. I have to went out and bought water. A very happy stay.

We were here for three nights and enjoyed the amenities offered. We dined in house for the first night and the food and service were good. The buffet breakfast was very well catered with plenty of choice. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed.

Honest Feedback from a Solo Traveler

The staff here was super helpful and accommodating with me as a non-Spanish speaker while I was there. Nice Rooms. A little hot at night for my liking with the thermostat (even at lowest available setting) but all in all, it was good.

The only thing I would say is that because it was my first time in Madrid and I was taking a few days of leisure there, I found it challenging to get around easily on foot. I had to book a taxi back and forth because the hotel is kind of out of the way from where the nightlife and major sites are there. 1.5 miles is not far but when you end up walking 12 miles a day and if you need to have a rest or shower or change before you go out to dinner or something, you will want to take that taxi. This hotel would be great for someone traveling for business. It's very quiet and I felt safe there.

Arrived on morning flight and although check in was not until 3pm, they provided a room at 10 am so I was able to get settled and have a good nap before meeting my son later that day. Room was always clean (only one person) and on Xmas Eve upon return to hotel there were chocolates left on bed with card from hotel. What a nice touch. Very pleased with this find. - and I never leave reviews…

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I chose it because I was visiting my sister and it was fairly close to her apartment. I didn’t really spend much time in the room, so it was sufficient for my needs. I really just needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep. It’s not really close to a Metro station. My sister’s apartment is near the Puerto Angél stop, either I walked on the Madrid Rio path to her apartment and we got on the Metro there, or she met me at the hotel and we walked to the Opéra stop, which includes a steep uphill walk behind the cathedral. I ate the breakfast at the hotel. It’s convenient and the food was good. Most likely there is cheaper breakfast food available at restaurants in the neighborhood, but my Spanish is very weak, so I didn’t mind paying for the convenience of the hotel breakfast. Overall it was a pleasant stay that met my needs.

Hotel in a mostly residential area. Restaurant and bar manager not a customer focus person very abrupt and rude, he spoilt our stay. Bar closed on a Friday night at 22.30. Reception very helpful rooms only missing tea and coffee making facilities which I would expect to have given the price we paid. Breakfast was over priced but a good continental type range. Would I stop there again, due to price, location and mostly Restaurant manager.

Not a business hotel. Poor room decor, no kettle/iron, breakfast starts at 7 or 8. Too late. Breakfast was poor. No gluten free, kiddies yogurts, dreadful scrambled eggs. Noise part midnight. They try to fit too many people in breakfast room and small reception. Swimming pool stupidly small, like a jacuzzi without bubble. Really expensive.

Decent property but Horrible horrible service. Avoid, if you can.
Their front office staff needs a lot of training in how to deal with their clients. Especially an Asian guy in the front office who got no people skills to be in the front office, at all.
Really disappointed with NH group. Didn’t expect such a horrible treatment from this group. Given the size of company they are, they could invest in hiring better hospitality folks.
My recommendation, avoid if you don’t wanna be treated badly by their staff.

Pour vous souhaiter la bienvenue on vous donne une chambre en face d’un chantier, Il a fallu que je m'énerve pour changer la chambre, et pour vous remercier d'avoir choisi NH on oublie de faire votre chambre la dernière nuit, j'avais pourtant bien mis en évidence la pancarte veiller faire ma chambres contrairement à leurs arguments, c décevant

They lie about breakfast charges

The rooms were fine. I am mad about the breakfast. We were traveling with 4 adults and 3 kids spread across 3 rooms. We were told the breakfast was priced as 1 free kids breakfast per 1 adult breakfast. They charged us for 6 adult breakfasts each day, 2 per room. Before we prepaid for breakfast we said “so you are charging us for 4 adults?” And they said yes. But at check out the story changed and they over charged us by about €40 per day. All 7 of us were standing there, 4 adults and 3 kids. At breakfast we walked in and they marked down 4 adults and 3 kids. I can not understand why they gouged us on our way out. We also booked 3 triple rooms and were told we could only have double rooms and they were out of roll away beds for the duration of our stay. They shouldn’t have booked it as triples if they were not available. That may be Hotels.com fault though.

Trying to be posh, but a bit dated in its facilities - the admittedly beautifully large bed in the Superior Room squeaked and the chair fabric was no longer pristine. The hotel restaurant food is good, but the décor a little soulless. For a business trip, it is suitable.

4 star hotel with a single poor quality iron

It is too bad that the hotel i stayed at least 7 times in the last two years still treats me like a stranger. It is disappointing that 4 star hotel has only one iron for all gusts and it is in a terrible shape leaking water all over the place.
