Good- Staff friendly and professional, self check-in pretty straightforward, location ok, not far from city center. Free coffee and toast in the morning, free Towel service and wifi.

Bad- The downside are the rooms, you pretty much sleep in catacombs without AC or major air ventilation. Imagine 12 bodies breathing in small room and little to nothing air circulation! You have Steam room guaranteed. Owners should at least provide some small vents for each tenant or install more celling vents to have air flow. I wouldn't recommend staying.

I booked 11 days with this hostel for my dad . Unfortunately there was a delay on his flights and he got a day and a half late . He got to
The hostel at 9:00 pm and they told him he was late and they are overbook . Now they refusing to give any refund .

Very bad experience. The hostel is very small, there is no kitchen, the lobby is also the common dining room and there is very little room for people. You can barely walk in the rooms, there is only a very small hallway, the beds are crammed together and it is very hot in the basement.

Unique hostel styling, people are cool, but overall extremely bare bones you get a bed and charging, and a towel, bathrooms and showers are shared, was hard to sleep as others were snoring but that's bad luck, i would say for the price its good if you just want a night, not more

It is well located. Reserved a bed in a room with 6 beds and they located me in one with 8 beds. Tiny tiny space and not so private beds. Bathroom was usually clean. They took my towel from the rack two times, couldn’t take a shower before I left because of that. Check in and check out process are, as they say, automated. The machine asks for a selfie when you check in, so if you’re into biometrics privacy, take that in mind.

Really enjoyed my stay here! It’s in a great location, VERY clean, and not a far walk from the metro. My only complaint is staff isn’t responsive on WhatsApp and they’re not always readily available to assist.

The check in system is terrible, it wouldn't work, the \"assistance\" on the phone was useless, eventually someone came in person to help, so 45 minutes after i arrival I got inside to find my bed unchanged with dirty sheets. What a stupid place.

A very nice and clean hostel. Automated check in was a disappointment. Would not work, kept saying room not yet cleaned, return after 1pm for check in yet it was already after 3pm.
Waited over 30 minutes for staff to show up to check me in. She stated they don’t accept guests over 50 years old and that it is on their website. I checked, it doesn’t say that on their website but she says it does. That was the reason for my poor review.

Nice clean hostel in great part of Madrid

Hostel is in great shape in a nice part of Madrid. Close to the presidential palace, and other attractions. We only spent one night there in a quad room with a private bath but it did the job nicely.

Only downside was the room was directly off the shared public space and was pretty loud when we tried to sleep.

Had a great meal next door at El Raton, yes that's right \"The Rat\",

Would stay again.

Nice hostel, clean, not much privacy though.

Place was clean, and near the city center.

6 people shared one room, with one shower.

Bunk beds didn't have curtains, so there wasn't much privacy. Lights we're automated, so they turned on everytime someone walked by a sensor. Can be annoying at times, I recommend getting something to shield your eyes from the lights if you're sensitive to light when trying to sleep.

Really clean though, cleaners clean rooms everyday!

The self check in machine was only located outside so you have to try and input your information while exposed to whatever weather there is if you come after staff has left. Also if you lock yourself out you'd have to go outside to get a new key and hopefully you remember the code. Everything is activated with the key including power and your storage so you can't use your own lock. Only a thin Ikea blanket and sheets are provided. I'd made a comment about my mattress cover being stained and I came back to my bed being stripped and an extra sheet placed on top of the stained cover. The shower has good hot water with a waterfall shower head which is nice unless you don't want to wash your hair every day. There are only hooks inside so your toiletries must be placed on the floor if you dont have a hanging bag. The water managed to get my clothes wet on the hooks and the bottoms of my pants got wet everytime I got dressed. The location was ok but not great.

PRO+incredibly nice staff, quick response from owners, clean and modern (super duper clean by European standards), safe, lockers with chip, incredibly comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood and mature guests. CONS-a bit far away from city center, the automatic lights and shower were incredibly annoying, no 24 hour staff, water from the shower goes outside the cabin, can hear everything that goes on in the common room, not enough hooks, could use a bench in the room, and a shower caddy in the cabin, guests were mainly migrant workers so don’t expect to make friends to do tourist stuff with, room was cold in the morning. OVERALL, I really enjoyed my stay at Petit Hostel, but I’m deducting 2 stars because of the amount of CONS. Because of the issue of not being able to get a bottom bunk (my fault since I didn’t think about it beforehand) even though there was an empty bottom bed for a few days in my room. Because I was put under the very uncomfortable situation of having to deal directly with roommates who decided to get intimate while I was in the room and who brought alcohol with them...in such an instant it would have been great to have a member of the staff present. And because despite the fact that I had to use my towel to dry up the floor from the water running outside of the shower cabin everytime someone showered, the owners wanted me to pay 5 euros for a new towel. With some improvements this hostel could easily be a 5 star hostel. Thank you :)

Very nice and cozy place

I had a really good time in this hostel. It was nice and cozy. The location is ideal, and the metro is quite close. The service is excellent. Julie, the manager, is extremely attentive and nice. She is always willing to help out with bookings and information of not only Madrid, but Spain as a whole, and with the best attitude towards the guests. She was extremely helpful to me during my stay. I would definitely go back again.

It's a new hostel that is very very clean, modernised, hip and metro! Location is also good, about 10-15mins from Madrid central and away from all the noise yet easy to get to the heart of the noise! Shared bedrooms and bathrooms/showers-it is self-service check-in but is ok as you can reach staff for help with the help button. PC, vending machine and common area to use to meet people, work or socialise!

Only downside is that the hostel tell you that you need to self- check-in with the booking reservation code they sent you - this is incorrect, many people do not receive this 10 digit code and you often have to press the 24hr button for help. This needs to be improved on as I helped one guest as he could not check himself in, he had to sleep in the lounge!

Points positifs :

1. Le personnel est très chaleureux et accueillant.

2. La femme de ménage passe chaque jour pour nettoyer la chambre et les espaces communs.

3. Le casier s’ouvre et se ferme facilement avec un badge, ce qui est très pratique.

4. Chaque lit dispose de plusieurs prises électriques et d’une petite étagère pour poser le téléphone ou d’autres effets personnels.

5. Les toilettes et la douche sont directement dans la chambre, pas besoin de sortir.

6. L’espace commun est confortable et calme, idéal pour se détendre.

Points à améliorer :

1. La chambre de huit personnes et la salle de bain ne disposent pas de fenêtre ni de véritable système d’aération, ce qui la rend un peu étouffante. Et en cas de mauvaise odeur (par exemple des chaussures), elle se fait vite ressentir dans toute la pièce.

2. Dans le lit du dessus, il y a un espace entre le matelas et le mur, ce qui fait souvent tomber l’oreiller ou la couette pendant la nuit.

3. Il y a bien un mini-bar dans la cuisine, mais il est très petit et insuffisant pour le nombre de voyageurs.

Yövyin pidemmän aikaa, mutta sänkyni pientä roskista ei tyhjennetty kertaakaan, vaikka se oli päivässä täysi.
Myös lavuaarin ja vessanpöntön oleminen eri tiloissa ei ollut miellyttävä ratkaisu minun tai muiden yöpyjien mielestä. Ei myöskään mitään mihin kuivata kädet.
Yhteyden saanti henkilökuntaan oli vaikeaa, WhatsApp ohjautuu ensin ’botille’ eikä oikealle ihmiselle. Pyyhkeeni otettiin joten pyysin uutta, kysymisen ja saamisen välissä oli yli vuorokausi sillä henkilökuntaa ei paikalla ja pyyhe piti itse hakea myöhään illalla.
Suihku erittäin kylmä, ja valot sammuvat vaikka liikkuisi huoneessa.

Sänky erittäin mukava ja yksityinen, sijaintikin ok.

Deludente ma forse mi aspettavo troppo

Primo giorno il mio posto era occupato da un'altro, e non ho potuto dormire al mio posto la prima notte. Le docce e il bagno non si chiudevano bene e dovevi perforza fare rumore incredibile che svegliava tutti di notte, avevo portato cose da mangiare e messo nel frigo pensando che nessuno mi prendeva le cose, ma mi sbagliavo.
Il salotto o recepcion che e la parte in comune tutti i giorni c'era una riunione di amici anche tardi, percio anche molto rumore la sera per qualcuno che vuole soltanto dormire, mi e capitata una lampada da notte che non funzionava.

Creo que casi no sale en las reseñas pero este hostal es inteligente, llegas y el check in lo haces en una máquina, te da una tarjeta y sin ella no puedes hacer nada, ni al hostal, ni recámaras y menos tu equipaje así que hizo el lugar SUMAMENTE seguro, nadie que tenga otra tarjeta puede abrir cosas que no, me encantó! ✨💕
