Single room. Clean, cozy room, comfortable bed, electric kettle with tea and instant coffee, TV. No air conditioning, no refrigerator, shower with curtain. Excellent breakfast, homemade pastries, spreads, pickled vegetables, fresh fruit, excellent coffee. Very polite staff.

A good stay

It was quite even though it's a block away from the business area. A nice firm bed. The bathroom is maybe small to some people. Breakfast was more than adequate. If I visit Prague again, I'll choose this hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The front desk people are great. The room is very clean. However, these are the problems that I encountered.

1. Checking in time is TOO LATE at 4:00 PM.
2. Checking out time is TOO EARLY at 10:00 AM.
3. No staff is available until 11:00 AM, so no help is expected during the night.
4. The AC was not working and the room was cold all night. I ended up having cold, which the traveling next day made it only worse.

Basic hotel with basic facilities. The shower was very small, but that's to be expected with these city centre conversions. There's a tram line at the end of the road, so I'd recommend earplugs.

The room 107 had a shower so tiny I physically could not fit in it.. 50cm across. We complained at reception but no other rooms were free so we both couldn’t shower properly. I’m 178cm not overweight so be warned if you are out in these rooms it’s terrible bathroom. The room was extremely hot no air conditioning there was a fan however. The bed and room were good. Breakfast good apart from watered down juice like they are trying to save money. I’ve stayed in other properties in Prague and due to the shower I wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed here with two friends. Perfect part of Prague to stay in; well connected and far enough away from too many tourists. The service from reception was great. Very informative and attentive. The room was perfect for what we required my only one criticism was the size of the shower; the shower was very small and often hard to contain the water to inside the pan. Overall however we really enjoyed the hotel and I would stay there again, fairly priced very welcoming atmosphere and great location.

Less pros, many cons. There was nothing physically wrong with the hotel itself, just the poor service we received from the staff that made our stay unpleasant. We do not recommend to our family and friends.

Pros: great location to cafes, fast food (Starbucks & McDonalds), currency exchange, & beautiful Christmas market at St. Ludmila Basilica. Additionally, must give praise to the best nail salon around the corner called \"Re:\" which gave me the best manicure of my life and they take Apple Pay! That's IT. Nothing related to the actual hotel.

Cons: Be prepared to take a standing shower in the corner like you're punished. The female receptionist with blonde hair and glasses was standoffish and unpleasant during our stay. It was a hassle to get an iron WITH an ironing board and she refused to give my husband a new towel on the last day of checking out, meanwhile – we passed by open rooms when housekeeping was cleaning and saw abundant amount of towels on floor. All because he didn’t leave an old towel out prior. It’s the last day for goodness sake. He’d even pay for the towel! No customer service skills at all. Hotel Lunik is more like Hotel Lunatic as it claims it's \"sustainable\" and going green, but is crappy and selective with service. Not even other 3 star hotels are as bad as this one. Giving a towel and an iron with a ironing board is a basic accommodation, not a big ask. Hotel Lunik does not cater to tourists, despite it being big source of their income. AVOID.

The hotel is in a more hipstery area of Prague. Just outside of the main tourist area. It is quiet at night. Just beware in the summer as I did not notice any AC in the room. It was very comfortable though for late May, early June. About s twelve minute walk away from the main train station as well.

Only one coffee and one sugar person - anything extra is to be paid for - nowhere have I encountered this, ever.

SMALL shower with curtain - I hate shower curtains - and the whole bathroom was flooded when we finished showering.

Bags with some stuffing as pillows.

The tourist tax we had to pay cash for.

We were however allowed to store our luggage but we could only check in at 16h00.

Breakfast was good but only from 7 to 10...

Best location for transportation to and from the airport.Termini station is a few steps away with plenty of shops. The hotel is very clean, modern, and perfect for my stay. The owners have wonderful staff looking after it. Don't exchange currency in the train station, its a total ripoff They are better places near-by. Search for one with high reviews. I totally recommend this hotel It was safe and very convenient for traveling and sightseeing.

The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are older and a bit dated. The rooms don’t have air conditioning so something to consider if it’s summer - it was very hot and we did not sleep well at all. There was a small desk fan provided - didn’t help much.

Do not stay at this hotel in the middle of summer - there is no air conditioning. Of course it rates itself as three stars.... When you are forced to sleep with the windows open, there is A LOT of street noise. However, it is convenient to the Metro and the breakfast is surprisingly good for the size of the establishment.

It showed that there were air condition in the room when booked, on arrival we found no air and was told that this is a heritage building so they are not allowed to make renovation....not sure what air condition has to do with renovation.

Highly recommend Hotel Lunik. Very helpful staff, clean, comfortable, great neighborhood for a local experience. Very good Europe-style breakfast included. Limited English TV, just news. Tram/metro stop a block away. Old Town and many sites walkable or quick tram ride. Many good locals restaurants & pubs (Kravin and something Czech about a cat) within a couple blocks with prices about half what you pay in tourist places.

Affordable hotel close to the major attractions

Stayed from Dec. 2-4, 2016 in this hotel located in Praha 2. Christmas markets are great!! Overall, pleasant experience with the hotel stay. Breakfast buffet was great with an assortment of bread, cheese, meats, hot food items, cappuccino machine, cereal, juice, jam/jelly, fruit etc. Room and bathroom are kind of small, but I was told to expect this in Europe. Bring your own toiletries as they provide only a small packet of soap/shampoo.
The hotel is within walking distance to the major sites of Prague including Old Town, New Town, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, if you're willing to walk 20-50 min just exploring the streets. Wifi connection is solid.
While seeing the sites, don't forget to try the Trdelnik traditional Czech pastry!

Hotel staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and tidy. The free Wi-Fi was very good. The location of the hotel was fine..within easy walking distance of the metro or by foot to the station and Wenceslas square. The only negatives were that in my room the washbasin water flow was very poor as ws getting hot water..really difficult to have a shave, and the shower was poor too, not acceptable. Also the buffet breakfast wasn't of a very good standard and the breakfast room too small for the number of guests. Overall though quite a good stay although I would try somewhere else next time I think.

This is a very affordable hotel (I paid 51$/night for two nights, for a single room about a month and half in advance) located within walking distance to important tourist areas, such as Old Town Square (~ 20 mins) and Prague Castle (~ 30 mins). There are many eating places and markets around. My single room was relatively large facing the street, had a build-in sofa bed, in addition to the actual bed. They have electric kettle in the room with tea bags! Huge plus for me! Many more expensive hotels don't even have kettle in the room! However, NO A/C!!! If A/C is a must for you, don't stay here. But the fan worked fine for me and it wasn't hot the couple days I was there. Though A/C is not common in CZ, it is 2015, it is time to update rooms with A/C. More importantly, breakfast is complimentary! All the regular stuff (e.g., juices, bread, yogurt, museli, tea, ham, cheese, eggs, vegetables, etc). Is not fancy, but it'll fill you. Again, I have stay at more expensive hotels that don't even include breakfast! My train left early before breakfast starts, they prep a brown bag breakfast for me to take away. That is a nice gesture. They do charge 8% commission if you want to exchange for CZK in the hotel. 8% won't make a huge difference (about 1 can of soda), so if you want convenience, do it in the hotel. If not, you can get that can of soda back by exchanging outside. !

Accessible by walking

Hotel was close to metro station, but my personal opinion is no need to take metro in Prague. This hotel is accessible by walking from tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and silent enough. The receptionists are friendly. Breakfast was good and wifi is reliable. One issue is the shower area was really small, when I read about some comments on size about shower area I didn't imagine this small.. But it's still OK, although the bathroom might get all wet when you are taking shower (a towel on the ground might help). Another issue is again related to bathroom supplies. They forget or didn't put a proper towel for head and the bathroom supplies they provide is just a small pack of all-purpose-shampoo. It was only enough my for hairs.. No conditioner. No slippers. This might be a common standard for 3 star hotels in Europe (maybe)...

Great Prague hotel

Although I was hoping for an older, more traditional Czech hotel, the modern Hotel Lunik did not disappoint, otherwise. The rooms were sizable and comfortable. From a front room on the fifth floor, the view was pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, with poached eggs, cheese, meat and bread. Every second day, green beans were available. The staff were always friendly and accommodating.
It is a short, safe walk (15 - 20 minutes) from the main train station and Wenceslas Square. A Metro/bus station is 1 block away as is a major shopping street in the other direction.
On the negative side, nothing comes to mind given the price.

A newer hotel with decently-sized, clean rooms, the Lunik is very well located: a 15 min. walk from Wenceslas Square, museums and the main train station. The breakfast is excellent. Metro/tram tickets and power adapters are available at the desk.
However, the shower is small. Tissues and ice would be nice.

Lunik Hotel in Prague

Very clean, small hotel, fairly central. Rooms facing the street can be noisy if you need to have the window open in the summer so best request rooms facing the courtyard. In winter this wouldn't be a concern as the windows are double-glazed. Hotel itself is on a quiet street but bar-goers can be heard very late issuing from nearby clubs on the main street close by. Single rooms are small but perfectly comfortable for one person. Breakfast, included, is very copious with a wide choice of items. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. I would stay there again.

The staff at the hotel were lovely. I accidentally dropped my credit card in the lobby, and they noticed and secured it for my return. They also assisted to arrange early checkin, which i really appreciated. The hotel room was very small and stuffy and the internal amenities did not quite match the modernness of the lovely reception area. There was no wifi in the bedroom, which was very inconvenient, only wired. The breakfast was not as varied as one would expect for the price, compared to other hotels in the same range and staff were somewhat slow to replenish eggs etc, causing a breakfast queue. The room was noisy, as it was outside the elevator, and a noisy family split over three rooms on the same floor traversed each others rooms all hours of the two nights I was there, knocking on each others doors and talking loudly, making phone calls with the windows open. The single room had a tiny shower, and the shower curtain enveloped me in plastic, every time I stepped in, which was very unpleasant. that being said, would I stay there again? If it gets wifi as planned, and there's a better bathroom, perhaps, because the staff were very nice, the rooms were very clean and the location is reasonable.

Good Deal and Comfortable Stay

We were happy with our stay at Hotel Lunik. While the distance between the hotel and the main tourist sights is a bit of a walk, the walk was a nice way to see Prague. We also thought the breakfast was really good considering it's included and the rooms are already reasonably priced. Sitting in the outdoor dining area each morning while eating fresh fruit and yogurt was a nice way to start each day in Prague.

Great hotel for a short (5 days) sightseeing stay

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Convenient for metro and trams, also lots of reasonably priced restaurants. Walking distance (15-20 mins) from Wenceslas Square and then onto The Old Town Square, Jewish Quarter etc if you are good on your feet. Staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming, breakfasts excellent and you could have as much as you wanted to keep you going throughout the day.

A very nice plain hotel. Very clean, well run, staff particularly friendly. As much breakfast as you can eat. Well situated for trams and metro, a bit of a walk to the touristy bits. There were a couple of great bars/restaurants near by. Can't remember the name of this one: go out of the hotel, turn left, turn left again and it's up the road on the other side on the corner. I had a Fenix beer and it was delicious. I also recommend Deminka on Skretova 1, a street or two away. Lovely old decor and v traditional czech food.

Hotel Lunik is very close to metro and tram stops, which makes it very convenient to get around even though you are not close to Old Town. You are just one metro stop from all the action. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was quiet and clean. Good base in which to explore Prague.

A comfortable stay, only the bathroom was a little small, especially the shower area. The hotel should invest in airconditioning as it was quite warm. We had to leave the window open during the night, which was quite noisy due to the trams on the adjacent street and the early morning truck movement.

Warm and friendly staff. Easily reacheable from station. Most of the sites can be visited by walk or by tram. Tram lines are a minute walk. Good breakfast, We travelled Europe three weeks during May and would say this hotel rank 1 during our trip. Value for money.

Good people, decent location; small, oldish room

The upsides of the hotel are (1) that it is in a quiet location close but not too close to Wenceslaus Square, (2) the hotel personnel are terrific, (3) that it has excellent water pressure, and (4) the breakfast is very nice; on the downside, the hotel feels old on the inside (old furniture, communist-era styling, old carpet, and old smell), the rooms are relatively small for a 3-star hotel, and the bathroom (at least in my room) was so tight that it was nearly impossible to shower without interference from the shower curtain. By contrast, the Hotel Chopin, where I stayed the next night, was nearly 2x as big, modern, and, unlike the Lunik, did have air conditioning.

The hotel was a fairly reasonable price because we booked it so far in advance. be aware if travelling in the summer that there is no airconditioning so the rooms can get a little stuffy. breakfast was fair enough - with eggs, cereals, coffee, toast and meats. the hotel room (we paid for double) it was two singles pushed together and the pillows were paper thin. staff were friendly and helpful and location was perfect for walking everywhere. Overall the stay was ok , if you are here for a city break and don't want much time in the room it is good. Prague is a beautiful city and I recommend a visit!

Clean, gracious and thoughtful staff, good location, excellent full morning breakfasts... In short, it was better than expected and, when we return to Praha, we will definitely choose Hotel Lunik!

great location for transportation and was very secured even though I didn't feel it was necesary you had to ring to enter and this way not enyone could just enter. Breakfast was great! lots of selection and when I had to leave before the normal schedule I was given a breakfast bag fill with goodies. the only thing I did not care for there was no A/C, we traveled in June and it was still cool, but if I was there for July or August, I would need A/C.

we stayed at two hotels during our stay. the first one being the crowne plaza at the prague castle which was extremely nice and comfortable. then we came to the hotel lunik which was more of a boutique hotel. it was satisfactory for the cost and a good location. the only major downside was that it promised internet in the rooms and we could never get it to work. they also promised wifi in the lobby and that also didnt work. luckily they had a computer in the lobby but it was kind of a let down. the breakfast buffet was nice.

Excellent service and great location

Helpful and friendly staff, nice and comfortable rooms, very quiet location - if you want to sleep during you holiday this is very important, good selection of food at breakfast,
only 5 minutes to the real center !!!

Arrivée tardive, 23h à l’aéroport au lieu de 22h, due a un retard d'avion, la très gentille personne de la conciergerie, qui finissait sa journée, a pris le temps de m’expliquer où se trouverait ma clé et le code d’accès.
Bâtiment bien placé et pas trop complexe d’accès, chambre suffisamment spacieuse pour un seul lit, très propre et très calme malgré la vue directement sur la rue au 1er étage.
Petit déjeuner avec un choix abondant et excellent au vu de la petite structure.
Je recommande vivement.

　シャワーブースが狭くて湯量が乏しく使いづらかつた。今更変えようがないけれど改装の際はよく検討してほしい。
　朝食は朝に決めたけれど､ビュフェ式で温冷菜、果物など豊富な品揃えで満足できた。
　歴史のある家族経営のホテルのようで、配慮が行き届いている。
　シャワーが良ければ申し分ないと思う。

L'albergo si trova a poca distanza dalla fermata della metro, nella strada attigua transitano i tram e vi sono tanti ristoranti e bar.

Ho soggiornato in una camera spaziosa e confortevole con una grande finestra, ottime condizioni, personale cortese.

Hotel Lunik, Prag wir vermissen dich

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße unweit der Altstadt. Die Karlsbrücke ist zu Fuß problemlos zu erreichen, aber man kann auch die Straßenbahn nehmen. Von der Ankunft bis zur Abfahrt waren wir gut aufgehoben und haben uns im Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. 3 Mitarbeiterinnen waren permanent damit beschäftigt, dass sich alles, auch für später eintreffende Hotelgäste, appetitlich und aufgefüllt darbot. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Lunik hat uns, wie auch Prag selbst, sehr gefallen. Vielen Dank an alle Mitarbeiterinnen des Hotels, die fast alle auch deutsch sprachen. Wir waren echt beeindruckt und werden mit Sicherheit noch einmal wiederkommen. Dann noch etwas länger. Wir können Prag und vor allem das Hotel Lunik nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

Bra värde för kostnaden!

Utmärkt läge. Nära till spårvagn o metro, du tar dig runt i Prag enkelt. Flera affärer o restauranger närheten.
Servicen bra, rent och helt. Frukost har lite av varje, ingen lyx men helt ok.
Det är verkligen värt pengarna.

Fint hotel ... næsten perfekt.

Det er et fint hotel - lokationen er glimrende og ligeledes er servicen og morgenmaden. Også tæt på metroen til lufthavnen. Den eneste ting jeg ville ønske der var bedre, er badet. Det er meget småt. Vandtrykket var ikke imponerende (på 4. sal), men det var til at leve med, men men brusekabinen er irriterende lille (i hvert fald i vores rum). Men ellers var alt fint.

Tolles Hotel sehr zentrumsnah....

Ich bin zum 2. Mal im Hotel Lunik und finde es wieder sehr gut; sehr freundliches Personal, schönes Zimmer, sehr sauber und ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet, das im Preis inkludiert ist....ich komme gerne wieder !!
Vom Hauptbahnhof sind es 2 U-Bahnstationen zum Hotel und die Linie 22 bringt einen direkt ins Zentrum, zum Nationaltheater, zur Karlsbrücke und zum Rudolfinum....was will man mehr :-) Alle ab 65 fahren mit den Öffis g r a t i s !!!
