Hotel in best neighborhood in paris

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience I had during my recent stay in the Defensa neighborhood. The area proved to be exceptionally convenient, located just minutes away from the metro line, which made commuting a breeze.

I truly enjoyed my time in this vibrant zone, which is rich with excellent restaurants, supermarkets, and bakeries. Additionally, I felt very safe during my entire stay, which added to the overall pleasantness of my visit.

Booked this hotel for a buisness trip and due to travel issues had to move my trip. Airline allowed me to rebook my flight but this hotel would not allow me a refund or even to hold a credit for future stay. Very disappointing service. Paid for over a week stay and never actually went here. Expedia tried to help but the hotel refused to make any accommodations

I used the hotel as a base. The restaurant was not open for breakfast but!, the shops & cafe’s were only down the road so the location was good - The metro was a 5 min walk so only 15/ 20 mins ride to get into the centre of Paris- The hotel was clean, the shower was great in my room & the bed was comfortable 👍 The chap on reception was very helpful & polite. I would stay again 😀

First couple of nights were alright, the person who worked the front desk was friendly.

On my last night the person that worked the reception had all the lights turned off, was watching TV in the dark and was generally quite rude.

I left my key in the room and he started shouting at me saying don't forget your key. Honestly a very unpleasant experience to deal with. The person that worked the front desk the first 2 nights was incredibly friendly however. Just the Sunday night I had a bad experience. I hope anyone who stays there doesn't have to deal with him.

What you see in the pictures as 3 star hotel it’s even matching 1 star hotel. We have stayed 3 nights they never cleaned the room even not change the linens.everyday we have to ask towels. When we complained about room cleaning they were asked to go out of the the room. Even when we went out as per their request cleaning was not done. The bed was not comfortable. Toilet seat not fixed properly. It’s was moving around when we sat on it. Corridor was not cleaned for some time it’s dirty. Lift was so old and small only one person could accommodate with one luggage. Cleaning staff opened the doors without knocking with the master keys which was really disturbing. They switched off the AIr conditioner from the main board it was terribly hot in the night. So we didn’t have a good night sleep.

1- no telephone in the room
2- the tv very small and behind the entrance door
3- the seat toilet is not fixed
4- the noisy sound from the top level bed waked me in the midnight
5- you can hear the conversation from next room clearly

I like the fact it was in a quiet area however when I asked for things to do around and I didn’t get much answer. I was asked if I needed my room cleaned I said no but I can use some extra towels the front desk said okay and I didn’t receive any.

Staff were friendly but the hotel was a bit unloved and needed a good clean. As an example, every time I put my phone down on the bedside table it would stick to it. The aircon in my room also didn't work so was a bit hot on a couple of muggy nights and wouldn't rush to stay here again

No to Isabelle hotel Paris .

It was a nightmare. The receptionist was highly no cooperative. There was no cleaning for three days. No kattle in room, no water bottle as a courtesy. They did not offer me breakfast even when before booking I called to confirm. There were no tissues in bed room so I used toilet roll initially and after that I bought my own tissue roll. No tooth paste or brush was given. It was just bed and washroom in 50 Euros a day. Categorically third class service.

The nightcap who checked us in was friendly. The common area had glitchy TV and comfortable couches. The bathroom was updated and nice. The air conditioning technically worked but it did not feel very cold in our room. The wifi was slow. The bed was slanted sideways which was awkward as we didn't have much room to pass. The place has an overall dark theme, and the hallways/elevator were skinny, making luggage moving a challenge. The breakfast was mediocre - I would not recommend it unless you are really pressed for time. You can get a better breakfast for half the price at one of the local bakeries. I wouldn't stay here again but it was an okay value for the money especially considering it was a last minute booking. It's about a 10 minute walk to the metro.

So I booked this hotel because it said it was close to Paris circle, metro and the river, free parking!
NONE ARE TRUE! the rooms are made for very skinny people you must take one person and suitcase at a time on the elevator. The hallway has no light, the room had no heat, after my sister took a shower, there was no more hot water. I went downstairs to tell the attendant she said that they turn the heat off in the day and it takes 3 hrs to heat up, so it's still cold after taking a cold shower because no heat!
I came downstairs and told the attendant that I couldn't stay there with no heat and hot water, so I asked for the manager name and she was hesitant.. she told me she could give me a space heater and when I go in the bathroom i.could take the heater with me... I looked at her like she was crazy because 1st of all the outlets in the room were not working and the one in the bathroom started sparking when I turned on the blow-dryer!
I told her I am leaving that's it this is crazy!

The worst hotel in Paris?

The room was damp, it smelt, the bathroom was dirty, the carpets were dirty, the curtains did not fit the windows, the door was hard to shut, the single bed was broken, thre was NO soundproofing between rooms so you could hear EVERY word from the next room!!!!!!....... Smoke filtered through from the next room!
The room was so poor it defies and more explanation......avoid at all cost if you want to enjoy a stay in Paris!!

About my expectations: I prefer modern establishments and facilities, hospitable decor, cleanliness, and well-maintained basic functions (like locks, lighting, bathroom fixtures, and appliances). Note: Le Dauphin, Vivaldi, and Royal were sold out at time of booking.

I was disappointed by the appearance and condition of the premises. It was dark, dreary, and lacked a coherent style. I suspect all of the furnishings were either bought second hand or acquired many decades ago and did not age well. The rooms and common areas seem to be maintained by a do-it-yourself handyman rather than professionals, leaving an amateurish impression. I saw many dusty surfaces throughout the room. Some room appliances were damaged or not functioning well (HVAC, lighting, fridge), and the room layout was awkward (fairly typical for these old buildings).

On the plus side, the shower was hot and pressure good, the bed was made daily for the duration of the week, and I was plenty satisfied by the breakfast selections.

I would not return if I had the choice, but would consider it if no other hotels in my price range were available.

The staff was not nice. They do not want to provide any kind of services that decent hotels usually do. When we told a guy at the reception that their cleaning lady did not leave us enough towels he said that that's not his job and please don't bother him... Also he didn't want to give me the receipt needed for my expense application... I don't know why it's such a problem for him to give receipts to their guests.
The room is not clean enough and a guy who seems to work for the hotel was smoking right at window of my room. It was not comfortable...
As a whole It wasn't good experience at all.

Grimmy dark overpriced hotel.

I arrived at 12 midnight was asked to pay in advance for my two nights, probably because had I seen the room before I would have checked out. Arrived at a dark depressing tatty reception. The same chap who was there when I arrived was serving breakfast in the nasty basement the next morning. Everything very tired and worn. They hadn't even bothered to pack the Christmas tree away it was still up in the corner of the bar. The carpets and upholstery in the room were covered in stains. The curtains were hanging off the rail. The telephone did not work. You could not open the bad DIY job wardrobe door without moving the bedside table. The shower was covered in mildew and sprayed at the wall rather than the shower tray. All in all I would give this one a very wide berth. I never normally write reviews but feel obliged to warn people about this one. Expensive rot.

Budget friendly for family

Family of 5, only place in Paris that would allow us in one room. The price was nice too.
Easy access to the metro and the best pizza place in Paris right across the street from the hotel front door.
The only issue we had was that the A/C was out, our room was too hot to stay in it. The hotel already had someone working in it. Instead of making us wait they have us two rooms. It was perfect, for that service alone, we will stay there again!!

The hotel was very clean and the bed, although very low to the floor, making it a bit more difficult to get in and out of for more mature people, was comfortable. Only one towel and one hand towel for a double room and the shower was missing a door, which resulted in water everywhere.......... very dangerous. A patio type area outside our room, which was accessible, was very tatty, with old bread and pizza boxes sitting there for the four days we were there. Minor details though, and would recommend.

Not difficult to find. Large open room with 1 king size bed and 3 twin beds for the kids. Built in curtains separated the kids sleeping are from the adult. Tub/shower and skin was also divided by large curtain. Toilet had a door that closed.

This hotel was suitable for our family. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was well worth it. 10 minute walk to the metro station (in ZONE 3) and 10 minute ride to the heart of Paris. Car was parked in a safe location (secured garage) controlled by the hotel (additional daily fee). Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The surrounding neighborhood around the hotel was not noisy and had plenty of restaurants for dinner. Bakery and convenience store are next to hotel. Pharmacy is located near metro entrance.

To find a hotel room in Paris that will accomadate 2 adults and 3 children and not be too expensive is no easy task. We found the room to be spacious and the friendliness of the staff was wonderful. Easy access to central Paris. Short walk to metro line 1. All made for an enjoyable stay.

there was an error when we arrived.. our credit card had not been accepted by the hotel.. but they failed to inform expedia and therefore we turned up to the hotel and there was no triple room available on the first night and we were forced for 3 adults to share a tiny double room...this was one negative.. secondly the towels in our room were placed on the floor for changing and they were not.. they were folded and damp and put back on the towel racks... we did complain but there was no change in this.. we would just ask for new towels everyday.... the hotel had very few staff .. and they did everything.. cleaning .. preparing food... reception... everything... but all in all it was a good hotel... very basic.

Great Alternative to staying inside Paris

Listed by Expedia as a 3 star hotel, the reviewers either loved it or hated it. For the price, I am one of the lovers although I agree that although it may have been a 3 star in its prime it has probably dropped to a 2 star.

I completely agree with the reviewer who recommended Chez Patrick down the street and ate there every night. Patrick treats each diner as a neighborhood regular and gives huge portions of wonderfully prepared French dishes and sides!

The hotel's young Asian hostesses seemed to be new to the area and appeared to be relying on google to answer any questions. You have to ask the desk to turn on your room A/C. The bathroom has a US/Europe converter-less plug but the \"shower\" is hand held (apparently common in France)! This was the only hotel to provide a FREE superb continental breakfast daily!

The Defense Plaza is than a 10 minute walk away has the benefit of both an RER stop from CDG (you have to transfer trains x1) as well as being at the end of the number 1 line of Paris's wonderful Metro system. The Plaza is an astounding example of modern architecture! Walking in the opposite direction from the hotel reveals additional community shops, eateries, banks, and schools.

The Defense Plaza's RER and Metro locations actually make it ideal not only for visiting Paris daily but also for going to and from CDG burdened with luggage as you are able to avoid much of the crowding on the metro/RER had you started from a stop within Paris.

Alojamiento por un precio mas económico en las afueras de París. Llegada y barrio muy seguro. Fue limpio pero no especialmente tranquilo, las paredes son muy estrechos y se oue el ruido de los demás habitaciónes. No molestó porque no hacían fiestas. No se puede guardar el equipaje, me dijeron que lo dejara encima del sofá, que no me he atrevido.

Die Lage des Hotels mit Anbindung an die Esplanade de la Defense ist sehr gut. Es gibt zahlreiche kleine Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Hotel selbst ist bereits relativ alt. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich klein und wurden vor unserem Aufenthalt nur oberflächlich gereinigt. Der Mülleimer war nicht geleert und im Kühlschrank befand sich noch Essen vom vorherigen Gast. Wir haben Haare gefunden und die Dusche war ziemlich verkalkt. Die Bettdecke hatte Flecken, aber wir haben eine neue bekommen.
Für den Preis war es okay, wir werden aber nächstes Mal ein anderes Hotel aufsuchen.

La devanture ne fait absolument pas envie, et c’est un vieil établissement. Pour autant, les chambres ont été rénovées et sont extrêmement propres et finalement très cosy. J’ai dormi comme un bébé, avec une très bonne literie et une très bonne insonorisation. J’imagine que les seuls bruits qui peuvent venir sont ceux du couloir, mais à l’heure où je suis rentrée, c’est plutôt moi qui en ai fait …
Réception 24 heures sur 24. Très bon rapport qualité prix. En terme de situation, tout dépend de ce qui est recherché. Moi, j’étais juste en face de chez ma belle-fille. Parfait.

Hotel könnte modernisiert werden. Mitarbeiter konnten kaum englisch sprechen. Bett war sehr weich.

Lage war sehr gut, wenn man nahe der Arena sein möchte. Gute Verbindung ins Zentrum mit der Metro. Man muss paar Minuten zur Metro laufen.

Chambre agréable, lit très confortable. Cependant il faisait relativement froid dans la salle de bain (qui ne posséder pas de chauffage) mais cela est compenser par la présente d un chauffage a 27 degrés dans la chambre.
Le niveau de propreté peu être améliorer dans la salle de bain.
Malgré cela j’ai passée un bon séjour, une chambre et un hôtel ayant du charme.
