The hotel feels like it needs an update in many areas. The around in front of the hotel is blocked by many coaches which can make access on foot difficult especially with luggage.
It would be helpful if the restaurant is going to be closed to provide guests with suggestions of where to dine.
The room was ok, but the beds are narrow and the bathroom was small only one person could be in the bathroom at al time.
Highlight was the rooftop bar, the staff there were really friendly and helpful.

We extended our stay by a night. When we came down to enquire about it, the woman at the desk without looking said there were no rooms. This wasn’t the case as we checked hotels.com right after and there were rooms which we booked. She was rude, slow and generally not helpful.

Later in the day, we asked about getting change to use their laundry machines as they require coins. The man behind the desk again, didn’t even look but refused to help and told us to just go find some elsewhere. If you have a coin operated machine for guests, provide change!!

The hotel is in the skyscraper dense business district of Paris. Cheaper option than some of the hotels in central Paris and only a short train ride to CDG. The hotel itself is nice with a great rooftop bar with views out amongst the giant structure that surround and the city beyond. The view of the Eiffel Tower at night is stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly. On check in they gifted our kids with some left over Olympics merchandise.

There were a few areas of our room and shower that were a little dirty but nothing too bad. The headboard/wall art was broken. Otherwise all was good the sheets were clean as were the towels. The staff were helpful if a little condescending when I tried to speak French 😂

First trip to France!

The hotel was very well situated. Easy to check in and out. Very comfy beds. Very tasty breakfast. Staff was very kind and helpful. The AC was tricky to work- no matter the setting the room didn’t get very cool. After a long day of walking and riding the Metro, it was hard to cool off at night to sleep.

I wasn’t too happy with this hotel at all. Firstly, I purchased an adapter but it wasn’t working so I asked for a refund. Unfortunately I didn’t get a receipt so I showed them my bank statement and everything but they didn’t refund me because according to them, they couldn’t see any transactions made. Worse part of it is that they even kept the adapter and offered me nothing. Not even a new one. So now I’ve lost money. Also the room was so cold.

We had our flight Venice to Paris cancelled due to Italian strike, called as soon as we got the email to try and manage not losing the whole reservation and they declined every suggestion.

We understand the hotel has its own rules, but this was something we could not know, there were no plane ticket or even train tickets that would allow us arriving the day of our reservation, only day before or days after.

They charged the whole cancellation. These are things costumers appreciate, individualizing cases, knowing when to be flexible and when a cancelation is not an option.

Room was ok. Getting woke by housekeeping at 9am on a Sunday morning was not. Had to always ask for extra towels and toilet rolls. We also had someone come to door at 10am asking if we wanted tea or coffee with a trolley? Very strange.

I've stayed many times at this hotel and normally it's excellent, but this time (May 2023) there were a few issues.

I know most of the hotel has been refurbished recently, but it feels like this room had been forgotten - the bathroom especially feels old and tired (even if perfectly clean).

The shower holder broken so had to hold shower by hand. Not a disaster, but inconvenient when in a hurry.

I requested a receipt to be emailed, but didn't receive it until I chased via email.

Apart from these issues, the rest of the hotel is great and the breakfast was excellent, as always!

Really disappointed. Had no hot water for both nights of my stay. Yes, I made reception aware of this however it was ‘a problem in the hotel’. And because I’d already pre-paid, and was in a rush to get to work there was little time for a rebate. Just very poor. They seem busy, but in a mess.

I was happy when I was told that there was a shuttle that takes you to the metro station. When I asked if it was the vehicle that was parked outside, I was told no. The shuttle was supposed to leave every 30 minutes; however, the guy showed up 15 minutes late and my friend who was tired of waiting when to use the toilets and the guy said he can’t wait two minutes since he had people waiting. I was the person waiting and he showed attitude when I told him that it wasn’t faired that I waiting for him for 25 minutes. The guy at the door told me that it was my friend’s fault that we will not get the shuttle to get to the station since she went to use the restroom. I don’t understand after waiting 25 minutes, the staff is blaming a guest. I went to the restaurant for food and the waiter barely helped us. The lovely guy from the bar had to come to the restaurant to help us. When I asked the waiter for separate checks, he brought only one and got upset when I told him about it. When I finally got to the room that day super late, I found out that I had barely toilet paper in the bathroom, it was never placed new toilet paper in the room. I had to go to the reception, which takes forever to asked them for toilet paper. I can say the guy who helped me was super nice and very helpful. When I went to check out in the morning, no one was at reception. After waiting for 10 minutes and a few “hello” to make people to come out of the office, someone showed up.

This hotel is NOT centrally located to all of the happenings for Paris. You will pay immensely for your transportation needs for the taxi, Subway, or Uber. Those options will be your best bet. They do offer a shuttle to the La Defense station, but it doesn’t run often and it starts and stops at certain times. Unfortunately, when I needed them the most, the shuttle was not available. I had to walk several times to the subway station in order to make connections to go into Paris. Let me add, the staff was sometimes rude but helpful when I was in a bind offering other suggestions. I have visited Europe several times and knew that the towel situation is very different than here in the US. Europe doesn’t used face towels so I brought my own. My personal towel came up missing and was never found before I left the property. I was not impressed to say the least and with this property. I would suggest that you stay closer to the subway station if you do want to stay in the suburbs of Paris. If you stay, ask for the street view. The terrence view is terrible!

The hotel is quite a distance from central Paris be prepared to use the metro. The bar had no staff on one night we were there and we were unable to get served. The hotel is advertised as having a rooftop bar & we were looking forward to seeing the views after a long day out. However the bar was being renovated and was inaccessible. One member of staff (a polish lady) was extremely helpful and lovely.

Good place to stay for short city

We booked this hotel for a short city break, the location was good and it is reasonably priced, 10 min walk to Metro (Esp la defence) and 15 min walk to Train station. Conveniently placed for local shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean. The only negative was that the room didn't really have the space to fit the bed for my 8 year old, a bit too much of a tight fit.

Great for more affordable, shorter stays in Paris

The hotel is clean and the rooms are fairly spacious. The staff is friendly and the amenities are good.

The closest major station is Le Defense, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. It's another 20-30 mins to get to any of the major sites in Paris.

I would stay there again if the price is right.

I thought the location was fantastic. Close to everything you could need. The room was clean however I found the bed uncomfortable. I also found the room very hot at night and the air conditioning wouldnt go low enough to make a difference. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two on business. Any more and I would suggest going somewhere nicer.

Our room had an amazing view on the eiffel tower, the arc de triomphe and rest of the city. It was very clean and we had a safe, a mini fridge and a really big flatscreen tv. Next to the hotel is the \"charras - centre commercial\" where you can buy almost everything. In there is also a small bakery, a big supermarket, many restaurants, bars and cafes and many others. It's a 8 minutes way to walk to the metro station \"esplanade de la défense\", where a metro drives every 2 or 3 minutes.

Well, the overall experience was ok I mean the front desk team is very efficient, my check in was done by Svetlana, was fine. The room was very noisy from 11 am till 18, they are doing refurbishments in the whole building, I think the hotel should be closed due to the refurbishments but of course they need to do money 24/7...
No hot wáter in the bathroom at 9 am, not useful when is -8 degrees C. outside but well, should be because the whole hotel was taking a shower at the same time but they should know that.

The Bar and Restaurant Staff - NOT GOOD

The Bar and Restaurant Staff including room service were a complete let down. I would not recommend this hotel for business users. No one really makes an effort to make your stay comfortable or worthwhile.

The staff in the bar and restaurant need to be replaced with younger people with a good level hospitality skills. Only good thing about the hotel is the location - you are very close to lots of restaurants.

Each time I called for room service the call was answered but as soon as i spoke in the English the person would stop talking and leave me holding without saying anything.

Food meal is limited, really you get more choice at MacDonald.

The gym is limited to four pieces of equipment and there is not space to stretch or warm up.

I have stayed at this hotel and other Accor hotels many times and am a gold member. This hotel is a 4 star hotel but it is impossible even to get hair conditioner. It used to be available if you asked for it but no more - I double checked with front desk. I managed to stop at a corner shop on my way home from work and dinner to buy a small bottle. The amenities in the room are just very poor for 4 star and I am trying somewhere else for my next stay.
I like the location as there are restaurants in the area and close to La Defense but there are other hotels that offer more for the price.

For a 4 star pretty dissapointing

I think i was told this was 4 star. The location is good because its within metro distance of downtown Paris ( Eiffel tower is within view ).. But.. The carpet had some splatter stain that i didnt ask about. The room was ok but nothing modern, felt old.
The staff is really nice and they speak English. Lots of shops and places to go nearby in Courbevoie. The 2 things I find uncomfortable in France is the fact they eat dinner no earlier than 7 PM. If you are hungry or just got off a flight better eat at the airport. You wont find much open on a weekend or between 4-7.
The other thing that I had to change was the bedding, most hotels have a nice comforter , cozy and warm.. But a bit too warm for me. I had to swap out with sheets and blankets.
Paris doenst normally get that hot so you wont find AC in the rooms, usually heat or just air. So if you do get warm you are kinda stuck with it.
I love this area, its friendly and kind. If you want to mingle with locals and see how they live here ( assuming you are from the US or UK ) this is a good place to stay rather than down in Paris and I have no idea what a room cost down there. Took the Metro into Paris one day and saw allot of good sights. Plan on 2-3 days to get inside buildings and not just pics outside .

Charge for \"included\" breakfast at checkout?

Being told upon checking that breakfast was included only to be charged for it upon checkout spoiled the whole experience. Being the floor above the smoking floor (7) meant there was a slight, but noticeable, stale smoke aroma. The room itself was functional and clean, the area is quiet and the hotel difficult to get to until you discover the L line. The location is a bit far outside the centre, but transport runs quite late at the weekends so not a problem. The breakfast itself is massively overpriced for standard hotel buffet breakfast but is of a good standard. I would not stay at this hotel again due to the smell, the unexpected charge and the time taken to get to the centre of Paris.

Reasonable accommodation just outside Paris

The hotel itself is perfectly decent, however the access was a bit worse than I expected. I wasn't aware that La defense station is outside Paris; apparently my ticket from CDG was not valid and I couldn't get out of the barrier, which is unmanned, until kind people took me to the other side of the exit which is unlocked. The station is huge and I struggled to get to the rather dark and isolated bus stop for the hotel shuttle. Then you need to call and wait for the shuttle for up to 20 mins. The shuttle leaves the hotel every 30 mins for the station. You could walk but it was difficult to find the path from the station. I had a reason to stay in La Defense this time but would choose a hotel closer to the station if I stay there next time.
The fitness area was closed on Sunday morning. I had to ask them to open the door. But the view from the terrace was very pleasant.

very sleepless night, set the aircon in the room to 5 degrees, and still it nothing happened... a hot and sticky night, also experienced by my colleague in another room. rooms are also very modernistic, so not really right if you are looking for a cosy / homely environment.
when asking which way to walk to a meeting in la defense, i was advised to use their complementary shuttle bus. after waiting 5 minutes for the driver, he then took 10 minutes to take me to grande arche - the furthest point in la defense from my meeting! so from there, a pleasant 15 minute stroll to get to my meeting 15 minutes late. the next day, i walked direct from the hotel in 10 minutes.

Stayed here on a business trip - office in La Defense. Close enough to walk to work, though took hotel shuttle a couple of times. Breakfast buffet was very good with a variety of hot and cold food and drinks. Front desk staff was very helpful and patient.

The rooms could use a refresh. If for business in La Defense - it seems to be the best value for money. A bit better than average breakfast, hotel staff is professional. I use the hotel for business trips based on price/quality. If I could get the Pullman for similiar or 10-20% additional, I would stay there of course.

Wasnt the greatest hotel considering how much we paid. Don't let the \"superior\" double room name fool you, there was nothing superior about it, seemed pretty standard to me. Couldn't connect to the wifi, couldn't connect my phone to the docking system. They gave one bath robe instead of two? Overall an ok stay

We were disappointed with our access to the 12th floor where they advertised the sports facilities would be located. The only access was through a Fire door and dimly lit stairs. Still when we got there, the door for Sports centre was closed. Nowhere it was advertised where this 'gym' was located. Regarding the room, we were glad that tea/coffee facility was there in the room but we never understood why one day we had 6 coffee packets (for a family room), whilst on another day we only had 2. Sometimes we had milk, sometimes we did not. So this service was very unpredictable! The shuttle bus was good though.

Quiet hotel with great staff

Location: The location is a bit off but as we arrived by car we preferred to not be stuck in Paris traffic (while the ring is bad, downtown is worse). There is a (small) garage just next to it which had some free spaces when we arrived but heard that is not always the case. It takes about 30-40 min to reach city centre (Louvre), including 10-15 walk to the Metro. When we came back at night we took the bus from the Metro though. This is to my understanding not a \"bad\" neighbourhood but very few people at night so didn´t feel completely comfortable walking. The bus is very convenient and stops just outside the hotel (metro-tickets not valid on the bus, costs 2 Euro, we paid on the bus).
On the plus side: The staff!!! simply wonderful! There was nothing they couldn´t/wouldn´t do for us, always very helpful and cheerful and they all spoke English (yes, Paris is changing). Our room was completely quiet and beds were very comfortable (we stayed at comfort-floor (9th). We even had a view of the Eiffel tower from our room which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very good.
On the negative side: The only negative things I can say about this hotel is that it is located a bit too far from the Metro, but this is minor. Could be a problem if the garage is full.
In all, this hotel gives great value for your money compared to what you get downtown, and with the garage, quiet area and helpful staff I actually prefer this one and would probably go back next time I arrive by car.

I booked this hotel together with air tickets as a promotional package. The hotel is 15-min walk from the La Defence metro station, so they have a free shuttle service connecting the hotel and the metro station. The shuttle runs regularly during peak time; off the peak you can request the shuttle to fetch you from the La Defence station.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and the room quality was very different each time. Privilege rooms at the 11th floor are the best in this hotel, 7th floor was smelly from cigarettes despite the hotel should be non smoking also the room was smelly with cigarettes, the room at 5th floor was noisy - there was noise from neighboring bath rooms and also from the washing room and elevators. Also rooms service was different at each floor - at 11th floor you get water every day while at the 5th floor at arrival only. Hotel location is great near La Defense office area. Fitness and sauna are open till 10 PM and view from the terrace is great.

Clean cheap hotel close to Paris

We had a group of 14 people which we thought would be really expensive however the hotel turned out cheap. It was all very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There is also a balcony on the roof with a stunning view of the whole of Paris on which we had breakfast. Such an amazing stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Privilege rooms are better

Hotel is well located in La Defense office area. Basic rooms are a bit tired but Privilege rooms are in better condition and offer more comfort as for example special pillows. Hotel is clean. Terrace at the top floor has nice view.

Great hotel in business part of town

We stayed at this hotel for a night prior to meeting a tour bus group and stayed an additional two nights. While not in a tourist or historic part of Paris the hotel is probably better suited for business trips. That's not to say you can't get into central Paris for fun. The metro is right by the hotel and gets you anywhere easily. We were there on Bastille Day and the hotel has a roof top patio with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower for all the fireworks. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant was good and reasonable priced. There is a major shopping center with an entrance right behind the hotel. Restaurants, clothing, groceries or anything else you need or want only steps away for your room. Over all, a great place to stay.

Breakfast and Cabs!

Very poor price for Breakfast (what did I expect as I thought it was included, by what I was told when welcomed), only to be hit by a nice bill when leaving. And I wanted to get a cab (to a place 20 minutes away) the cabs were refusing as it wasn't worth their while. Anyway the hotel got me a cab arranged, and asked me to phone them when I was ready to be collected..... so I phoned them when I was ready and the hotel refused to get me, and I was getting refused cabs, so very frustrating.

I'd be ok walking 20 minutes where its somewhere I know, but when I dont know and with my wife, and attending a charity function its not really the ideal!

Would I return to the hotel....... would I return to France......... I think its a NO on both for me!

Not a 4 star hotel

This hotel is not a 4 star. We arrive a Friday afternoon my wife and my 10 years old daugther and I requested a room with 2 beds. The room was extremely small and the bed was just for 1 person so it was unconfortable sleeping my wife and my daugther in 1 bed.
The hotel parking was expensive but in France you can park in the street during weekend for free. When I ask the question about parking to reception (Friday night) he told me that only you can park during at night for free but next morning at 8 am I have to move the car. When I saw the sign in the street it was free Saturday and Sunday and during weekend you can park until 9 am free so the person in the reception lie to me to try to make me park at the hotel
The turkish bath (steam) was closed during weekend so I could not used.
Location is not good for someone without a car at least 20 minutes walk to subway station

The hotel was very clean and neat. The room is small but exactly what u expect in paris. The shuttle service is very efficient except by the fact that after 6pm u have to call them to pick u up and the pick up place is very dark and sketchy. We saw a guy sleeping there one night so we just decided to walk. The walk is not far is probably a 10- 15 min walk. The roo. Was clean but the bathroom shower did not have a curtain... we didn't know why.

Overall it was good and the breakfast was excelent

Nice hotel in a nice area and good staff.

We traveled to France with family. Had two double rooms and stayed at this hotel. It is a very nice clean hotel with good facilities and nice staff and a view of Eiffel tower and Grand Arc inn Ladefense area. The hotel runs a shuttle service to metro every half hour and has a taxi stand and many hotels and supermarkets at walking distance. The location is safe and clean. Rooms and baths are clean and staff very pleasant. Free wifi was also very handy. Good experience.

Fantastic hotel. 1 problem

lovely hotel. Ideal situation and provide shuttle busses. Security man was rude and room service appeared dodgy. They let themselves into our room several times without knocking up until 7pm. Very strange. Reception and shuttle staff lovely.

Almost everything was great! Except from the breakfast that was very poor... and the cups for coffee were not clean enough. The hotel is next to ''La Defence'', where the place is wonderful and you can find everything you want to!!

Room was quite large which was very good .

Stay at Mercure La Defense was very comfortable especially after the very small room we had at a hotel closer in to Paris. Worth the extra bit of distance and there is a really great shopping centre at La Defense. Enjoyed our stay here.

The room was very small, but clean enough and we had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The chair in our room was broken. It's quite a distance to all of the sights, but we walked anyway. Breakfast was fine...eggs, bacon, pancakes, pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc. The neighborhood is ok, but there was a nightclub right nextdoor that was loud when we got to the hotel on Friday evening. Parking is the worst thing about this hotel. The parking garage is dirty, difficult to get in and out of and what we paid was kind of high for only 2 nights of parking. I probably wouldn't stay here again.
