Big, clean room. Good location. Great Korean restaurant opposite (highly recommend). Fantastic staff who were so helpful with everything and anything. I wish the bed was a King though, the room was so big (we booked a room with a kitchenette) and could have easily had a King bed instead of the Queen.

Quite disappointed after staying at Amsterdam and Florence social hubs, as the standard is not the same at all. The amenities, breakfast and atmosphere were definitely not up to par as other social hubs. The distance to the metro was 20 minutes up stairs and uphill.

The hotel is located close to Metro line 1, so getting around Paris as so easy. The area where the hotel is located you feel safe, and it is clean. The social hub staff was amazing! Most of them spoke English or was willing to work with me on my baby french. The rooms were clean, large and bright.

The property is located in a nice area and close to a train station, however, the AC in the room did not work properly and the shower always ran really hot. We paid for breakfast but most of the days we had to leave early for the olympic games, activities, or to get to the airport and they could not accommodate with a to go breakfast so we wasted our money and did not get it back. Breakfast buffet was limited, not a lot of things to choose from. The Social Hub in florence had a wide variety of food and the service and amenities were way better there.

Wish I stayed here longer! Room was so spacious and the amenities were a great change of pace compared to other hotels in Paris. I enjoyed being able to do my laundry easily on-site, there is a pool, and just an overall pleasant time. Thank you!

J’ai trouvé que cet hôtel s’apparentait plus à une auberge de jeunesse avec son personnel très jeune, et l’atmosphère en général. Le passage du parking à l’hôtel est glauque. L’étage du resto pour petit déjeuner est un peu lugubre. L’ascenseur est très petit. Les chambres sont très petites. Peut convenir une nuit ou deux mais après, on commence à trouver le temps long.

Very nice, but not without problems

The Student Hotel was a good experience, but it was so close to being a a great one.

My two sons and I spent 10 nights here in a family size room (three beds). Throughout that stay, the staff was very nice, but occasionally did open the door through the do not disturb sign.

I our particular room, on my particular bed, the headboard would regularly shake when the surrounding room doors were closed, which could make mornings annoying.

Everything was kept very clean, however, in a room meant for 4 people, there is one chair and zero desks.

There are shared kitchens, but as tourists, we were not given access to those, however there is no fridge in the room and no way to make anything cool. This was very aggravating; no way to keep leftovers or just a snack cool. One of my sons is Type 1 Diabetic, so we like to keep a snack available, and were very limited to our options because there was no dorm fridge.

But I would emphasize that the staff was very nice, the room was very clean, the walk to the metro was reasonable (though not short) and we enjoyed our stay. The price was fantastic, and we are very happy with our stay. However, the sub-par items: nowhere to sit, no fridge, thin walls, will not make our return certain, but we would not be upset to return, we really like the hotel.

First of all I wanted to redeem a night using my phone and it was difficult - I tried a few time receiving an error and I tried a last time and it said that the room has already been booked but did not redeem my night and did not send me a confirmation email. Weird.
The hotel gave me a twin room when the hotel was basically empty - it would have been nicer if they gave me a double. The sheets in one bed had stains (see photo) - I had to sleep on the other side. Someone started to do works outside the window at 6am! So, I'm sorry but I was not an happy customer

A simple version of the student hotel

Simple hotel in a good location. If you've stayed in a student hotel before you'll notice lack of facilities in the hotel (food trucks, bar etc) since this one is very small. But overall same design of rooms, a pool and all we needed for our short stay. Very r ready access to the centre as well.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Pool was clean and outside patio was really nice. Rooms with balconies are amazing. Bathrooms were spacious. Being able to use shared kitchen with fridge was amazing because we could cook when late for meals. Has two of each: a fridge , microwave, stoves and ice s with lots of seating and a balcony with great view. Only Downside was the bed as it’s two twins pushed together and we could sink it between and they would separate. Overall I love this hotel and would definitely stay again.

I liked that this hotel had reasonable prices, was clean and updated, had a comfortable bed, had a swimming pool, and had friendly, helpful staff. I liked the location of the hotel. Most nights were quiet on 5th floor, which was good. The last night on the 2nd floor was somewhat noisy when I was trying to sleep at night. It would have been nice to have a mini frig in my room. The shower floor was very slippery and maybe could use a bath mat for safety. I was pleased with this hotel.

Clean, comfort hotel, near metro and Carefour

Very clean hotel locate in a quite area. The hotel is near Metro (5 mins walk) however it may take you a bit walk to upstairs and a bit confused to find the way, but no problem you can find it easy. Metro can connect you to city centre around 20mins and connect yoh to REB line to CDG (in 60mins with 12 Eur). It’s value for money. Room is a bit small, basic, no water complementary but still very comfortable. Staff is friendly and supportive.

The hotel and the staff were amazing! The location was perfect, not in the city but so close it was perfect. The general area was safe and the local residents were friendly and accommodating.
The room was big, bathroom good size, shared kitchen was great and laundry facility was a plus!

This hotel room is extremely small. we paid close to $300 for one night. It was non-cancelable. We found many other hotels within the city of Paris for $100-$150 in a better location and much nicer. We felt that we were overcharged for a youth hostel style room. We would probably never use hotels.com again. Because of this. Great find!

Overall, great value! Nice staff, clean and modern room with kitchenette, above average facilities (an outdoor pool in Paris is not easy to find!) and a 2 minute walk from a well stocked small grocery store (with a great wine selection!) The only slight negative is its distance to the core. However, if you don’t mind the trek it’s only a 5 - 7 minute walk from the La Defense Esplanade Metro Station on the yellow line that will get you downtown Paris in 25 minutes or so.

For me it's a great location. 12mins to the centre of La Defense, 6mins to a 2nd customer, lots of small good restaurants all around.

We are Americans that were visiting Paris for the first time. As soon as we walked through the door the staff greeted us. They were very pleasant, helpful, and funny. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are basic. Location is good, not too far (1/2 - 1 mile) from the tram to Paris. Although, to get to the train station and back, you will have to go up and down several flights of stairs and over walkways, the route can be confusing, and easy to loose your bearings,particularly on the return trip.

Excellent location, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We stayed in a beautiful room at the 7th floor overlooking the Eiffel Tower!
The whole concept of the hotel is great, definitely a place to recommend.
It let me down on the cleaning, shower room curtain was full of bacteria at the bottom and the toilet exhaust was covered in dust and not working. I reported to the reception, hopefully it will be fixed next time.

Melon District was a good hotel, with clean rooms and a well maintained building. Facilities were good as well. Room was fairly basic but comfortable. It was a bit of a walk (10 minutes) to the nearest train station but that was the only part of the stay that was of any real concern. Good coffee and restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store. Very Happy with our stay

Clean and modern hotel. It was further than we expected from Paris attractions (about an hour's walk from to Arc de Triomphe) this usually isn't a problem for us but in 30 degree heat it seemed longer.
Staff very very friendly and helpfully.
Not a great location for restaurants due to being in business district so not much open after 7pm close to hotel.

Staff attitude as bad as can be...

This hotel has terrible management. Arrived 45 minutes earlier than the 3pm check-in time, they wanted to charge me 20Euros extra to give me a room although I was about to stay with them 11 nights!! Had booked a non-refundable fare one month in advance only to find the price was subsequently lower throughout the following month and for a fully flexible fare... After staying 8 nights, had to leave hastily due to a pilot strike in France. The airline waived the penalty but the hotel did not cooperate. Rather than asking myself for a refund, i contacted Expedia to try to arrange that for me as I am a Gold member and thought that they would be able to pressure them to accept. The representative tried her best, but was faced by a stubborn hotel manager. She asked her to at least return 1,2 or 3 nights given that I was losing 4. She later told me that they were very uncooperative and inflexible and that she was very disappointed with her answer.

A modern, clean hotel at a really good price

The hotel is clean, fresh and modern, with a great selection of cafes, supermarkets & a lovely bakery within a couple of minutes walk. I booked 6 weeks in advanced & was able to get a great price. The rooms were very clean & felt freshly decorated. I did find that the room was too hot for me & although it had air con, it didn't really cool the room down. I couldn't leave the windows open all night as there was a little noise outside, which you couldn't hear with the window closed. This may all be personal preference but I definitely won't be going again during the Summer months. There is no cleaning service if you stay less than 6 nights but for the price that is absolutely fine. The staff are great at Hotel Melon, they are friendly & helpful when you need them.

2 nights in Paris

Stayed here for 2 nights on business and ended up working long days but what little i saw of the area was very nice. My office was only a 5min walk away which was handy, the hotel itself seem's to be very new, the room was spotlessly clean and so were all the communal areas.

You get access to a communal cooking area, there are several restricted by room card access, and your own section in the fridge - i didn't actually use it but i can see why this would be useful to others.

I didnt get chance to use the hotels gym/pool facilitates but both did look very good.

For once the breakfast was a very reasonable 9euros and they offer a great continental + some cooked selection, i was really pleased with that.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and gave me an excellent recommendation for an evening meal.

Only slight issue i could see is that if a couple were to sleep in the bed access in my room was restricted on one side by the table unit which didn't look like it could be moved.

All in all i had a great stay and would definitely go back when I next work in that area of Paris.

A notre arrivée, nous avons du attendre un momenet avant de trouver quelqu'un pour faire l'enregistrement, qui a d'ailleurs été long. Au moment du départ, j'ai demandé une facture et je n'ai eu qu'une facture partielle. J4attends la facture totale à ce jour .J'ai été étonnée des taxes a payer lors de la réservation et aussi sur place. JE pensais que celles payées lors de la résa étaient les taxes de séjour et bien non. Et la taxe de séjour est chere sur cette ville....

Although it was not in the city Center you can get there with the metro and walk 10 min. I loved my stay in social hub because the room was so clean, the staff was extremely friendly and I could use the gym and the pool ! Séjour hyper agréable, calme, ambiance branchée, salle de sport top, salle et petit déjeuner avec terrasse très propre, très fourni avec un choix incroyable, un personnel aux petits soins et hyper souriants. Cadre extérieur calme et reposant, on entend les oiseaux chantés le matin, surprenant pour Paris. Quartier bien fourni en resto et bar sauf le dimanche soir. Petit bémol la piscine était encore fermée mais on reviendra avec plaisir!
