Arrived earlier in the day informing the manager that we would be a late check in for that day and if we can get in early or get written down at late check in as to not lose rooms. She stated that was fine and she will assign the room. Later that night come to check in all rooms were given away and no room for us. Was given no direction on why they filled our rooms or anything. Then proceeded to tell us to find somewhere else as they were packed.

The rooms was not ready by the time I got there. The room is so so smelling so the sheets of the beds. The hotel is smoke free, but both hallway and rooms smell weed and cigarettes. The staffs were shorts and unaware of which rooms were taken and which rooms were available. Some rooms had no air conditioning. Parking were fine and all great. I believe they do not change bed sheets to new one as I see so much dog’s hairs and dirty spot on pillows and bedsheets.

They wouldn’t honor my reservation said last time I stayed I destroyed the room which was a lie the took my money for one night n lied about me staying there. The guy behind the desk wasn’t helpful at all. Barely spoke English then the other guy I delt with was a complete jerk. Then I tried to get Expedia to help get my money back and got told since the motel said I stayed there one night there wasn’t anything they could do so I’m done with Expedia and will not and I repeat will not ever use Expedia again. All around the worse experience I ever had dealing with a motel and a booking site. The only reason I hit the 1 star is because there wasn’t a zero star on the rating. Both Expedia and motel 6 are liars and thief’s so wouldn’t recommend either to my worse enemy.

I paid for 8 nights at this location, the first room I was assigned didn't have a door handle on the inside and the second one didn't have working AC, The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful but they cant fix the problems the building has. Never got my deposit back, and only received a refund for 3 night instead of the agreed upon 5, I would not recommend this Motel 6 to anyone who has a choice. And I personally won't be using expedia for booking again. <3

The Front Desk Personnel who claimed to be the Manager asked me the Guest to unclogged his Toilet if I really needed the Room. If not, I needed to get out of his Hotel. To him, I did not deserve to have an apparent clean and functioning Room. There is not a response to give to such mannerism. That was below indecency and savagery. There are Jungle out there. That place is one of them. Motel 6 Brooklyn Center is not a Hotel, it is a Hood.

That man handed me a Receipt that claimed to be a Refund. A week later, that Refund was still not processed. Watch out for such places!!! Be very careful!!!!!!!!!!!

I had pre-paid for my room. Then when I arrived I was informed that there would be $75.00 deposit to be placed on a card only. I feel that the deposit should have been stated prior to booking the room. Since the security deposit wasn't mentioned until I was on site trying to get into my room that I paid for, I found it shady.

It's fine to expect a security deposit, just let it be known prior to booking the room.

It is to date, my worst hotel experience.
I arrived to find out the room I booked was not available. The hotel had it out of order but this was not communicated to the 3rd party booker. Then at first they would'nt match my room price with another room because they only had doubles. The employee tried to tell me they couldn't do that. Then once I said I would mention in the review, she then adjusted my price to match. Then I go to the room. Dark, poorly lit halls. A musty oder throughout the hotel.
I then enter my room. Two burned out bulbs. A shower/tub with a half dozen stainds a possibly cig burns. A very old boxspring/woodframe pair of full size beds withwhat felt like low end mattresses. Ladty and the most alarming issues. The dead bolt lick had been cut off and obviously not replaced. It apeats it was cut from a previous forced entry. Ill include a pic if an option is given.

Where to start! At arival there was little to no parking, people walking in and out of the woods, get inside get checked in and get my room number, ground floor! Go back out to find a parking spot and grab my bags, park and look up at building there are people leaning out of windows smoking, get in the room seems clean enough, can hear people yelling and yalking through the walls and door, go to take a shower the shower has dirt in it, decided to skip that, lay down on the bed and relax, at around 10pm someone is knocking on my window from outside, finaly get to sleep woken at 3am by people screaming in the room across from me, dinaly get back to sleep at 5am had to get up at 6 and get to my work destination, way to happy to check out and never go back! I have to go into that area for work a couple times a year, ill be looking at other accommodations even if i have to stay further away! One good thing is i was getting a soda at the vending machine and a young woman looked at me and asked if i was a sargent in the army, said i looked like a sargent i told her i was not but i was in the military a long time ago, she thanked me for my service and left!

I went down to the front desk, got my key reactivated and was able to enter my room but my stuff was gone and someone else’s things was on the bed. I went down to the front desk and let them know if the situation and that’s when they told me that Expedia shows them only one night so they rented that room 225 to someone else. I showed them my payment recent and it showed two night that I paid for. At this point I told them to just find my bag and refund me the second night because this was a very bad experience and the place reeks of weed and smoking. I’m still waiting for my refund.

Upgraded room to have a refrigerator and microwave. Was put in a room with neither, and 2 twin beds instead of 1 queen. Desk staff graciously changed our room but new room had no microwave and was freeway side so we were treated to highway noise all night. Smoke detector flashed a bright strobe light every 20 seconds or so. Shower door would not stay closed and air conditioner was so loud when it ran it made the freeway noise seem mild. It was a bed, close to the event we were attending but very underwhelming experience. Upon checkout the bill was $10 higher than the quoted price and I was told that was for the upgrades. I showed her my Expedia receipt, which included my upgrade request, and was told because I was on 1st floor it was $10 more. After a brief discussion I was refunded the $10, but keep an eye on nonsense like that if you choose to stay here.
