We arrived to find out they didn't have our room because there was no housekeeping done that day.
They had an upgrade available, but would need to charge us more for it.
Desperate, we paid the extra.
When we got to the room, it hadn't been cleaned either from the previous guest. We had to request new bedsheets and towels, and clean the room ourselves. What the ......!!!!

Don’t stay here! It’s disgusting!! There were bags of garbage by the elevator. The halls were in vacuumed and dirty. There was never anyone at the desk, even when we’d ring the bell. The breakfast was a. Huffing or breakfast bar and coffee. No creamer.
Don’t waste your money or time on this place!!

Clean, basic kitchenette supplies, comfortable bed. Damaged lounge chair and wall behind chair, shower door would not close. Bar soap only, no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. No hairdryer. Breakfast only coffee and snack bars.

This place was disgusting. The hallways smelled like literal poop and the room stank of cigarettes. The outer door didn't close/ lock properly so anyone could get in and there were no screens on our windows. The bed was super uncomfortable and the fitted sheet didn't fit properly and kept slipping off. People were yelling out in the parking lot and at the nearby bar all night. I had to book this stay last minute because my mother was admitted to the nearby hospital and it cost nearly $200 for an absolute trash heap.

The front desk guy was so high fro marijuana that he reaked of that we had to wake him up while he was sleeping on the counter and then he didnt remember checking is in five minutes prior. We rented a room with a pullout couch and a queen bed and we didn't have a pullout couch. We had to ask family to borrow a cot for our daughter. Breakfast was not out when it was supposed to be, it was hours late and all the food(milk and snacks for the baby spoiled because the fridge didnt work) we have always had good experiences at extended stay in Des Moines but this is absolutely ridiculous. How does this guy even have a job?

The shower curtain was very dirty, there was a dirty rag hanging on the shower rod, there was a cigarette left on counter, there was a chunk of soap bar left on the ledge of the bathtub, room smelled had a lingering odor. We would’ve asked to switch rooms but we got in really late 3 am since our connecting flight got delayed. Thankfully we were able to check in over the phone since we knew we were arriving late so we wouldn't lose our reservation. The front desk staff was very easy to work with.

Horrible.

It was gross, we didn’t even stay the night! The faucet wasn’t attached fully to the sink, there was a whole in the bathroom door, the air didn’t work, the bed was horrible, the kitchen was dirty and sticky. We just left after a while. I want to get a refund since we didn’t stay there because it was so bad.

The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival a boy was riding his bike down the hallway. That should have been our first clue. In our room we had baby cockroaches on the floor, and throughout the night the light sensor continued to react to any movement, turning all of the main lights on in the room. The sheets were clean, that was the one positive. Along the baseboards was a collection of grease and dust that is a perfect environment for the ants that marched alongside the walls. I would highly recommend NOT staying at this property.

Night clerk had no personality. 1 key for 2 people. Floors were dirty. Someone urinated in the West end stairwell that was already unkept.

Room was comfortable, however have to request any kitchen amenities. Not even a coffee maker. Looked like a fist punch in bathroom door. Bathroom sink slow to drain. Chose an Extended Stay because we came out for a specific food we planned to come back and enjoy.

Right next to the highway with some sketchy people in parking lot relieving themselves.

1st night had to change rooms due to the tv not working the front desk person put us in a dirty room and said that it was cleaned. This began the 8 days of roaches saga. The manager finally came to the rescue (he has been on vacation) he put us in a cleaner room. The final 3 days were much better

I have never done this before, but once we saw the condition of our room, we walked back to the front desk and asked for a refund. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door, I saw an ant on the fridge, the beds were just cots, the screen on the window was shredded, and there was a lot of other wear and tear on the room. We felt super unsafe, especially staying with two kids. We walked in, took in all the damage, and walked back out. I will saw the front desk staff was super kind. They were great and gave us our money back with no questions asked.

I was charged more than the price I was promised through Expedia and I did not receive a room with 2 beds as I requested. Jermaine at the front desk was awesome and settled the overcharge the following morning. The room smelled terrible and the window could not be left open to air it out as there was a fist sized hole in the screen. The sofa bed in the room lacked a mattress and was scratched by a cat. I was told this was the last room they had left.

Area was a bit shady and it’s right along a busy highway. The hotel corridors and room itself were deplorable. The furniture was ripped and stained. The dresser was extremely worn, marred, and looked dirty. The tile floors were sticky and I had dirty feet after walking barefoot on it. The blinds didn’t go all the way down no matter how much I tried to lower them. The cook surface was extremely dirty and deteriorated. If it wasn’t so late and we were so tired, we would have changed hotels. Very bad experience.

I made a reservation 2 to 3 weeks ahead of traveling, at the time of check-in I got told that there was only one room available Handicapped. After showing the clerk my reservation documents he made a phone call, which took 10 to 15 minutes. After he got off the phone he simply stated that they had no rooms. Are you kidding me. Then the hotel charged my card for the first nights stay. I had to scramble to find another hotel as the area I was staying had some big events that weekend and there was not much available. Luckily I found something. So the next morning I call my credit card company and then the hotel. After asking for the manager, who was unavailable, I explained the situation and asked that the charged be refunded. He had to discuss this with the Manager and would get back to me. Well surprisingly the clerk, NOT the manager, called me back. The charged was refunded and he apologized stating this should NEVER happen. My response, Thank you but it did, hopefully this does not happen to someone else. Don't bother to book or stay at this hotel.....it is not the cleanest or easiest to get to and comes across as extremely low budget. FYI....I normally do not post an experience, but this needs to get out there.

We put our clients up in this hotel while we were working on their home and it was an absolute disaster. They checked in and after a hour in bed they were covered in bedbugs. The front desk we easy to work with as far as refunding the stay. They did not seem at all surprised about the bedbug situation. So at 10:30 at night, me and my clients had to find a new hotel for their family of four. I do not recommend!

I have never experienced such a bad hotel. The police frequently came there, I changed rooms 3 times in my 6 day stay. Roaches in one room, toilet not flushing in another, the last one no heat. Such a bad experience and a waste of my money.

Although the fire department showed up, and when we went to check out the next morning we sat in the lobby for 40 minutes with no service eventually we just left. The room was disgusting. They couldn't possibly have cleaned it after the previous people stayed in it. The sheet had stains, crumbs, and a couple of hairs on it. I was so disgusted, I slept on top of the bedding.

The bathroom needed to be swept and the counter around the sink needed to be wiped down. There was a long hair on the floor of the shower stall. I stayed there once before and the only issue I had was the smell of marijuana coming from a couple of the rooms.

This trip was the last straw! I'm never staying they're again.

I travel for work and I booked due to the kitchen area. I was trying the hotel out to see if I’d like to do an extended stay here. Im glad I didn’t. The kitchen had no utensils like all the other hotels with kitchens I’ve stayed at. There was also one towel, no toiletries., no blankets on the bed, and the check in experience was terrible. I left in the middle of the night because I could not make it work and had to stay elsewhere. When I tried to leave there was no staff on property.

Misleading, not every gets “breakfast.”

Checking in was easy. The overall experience was just okay. I would not book this location for my family again. We check in late after our original hotel did not go well. It has been a long night. We booked a studio with a full size bed and a sleeper sofa.

I understand that every one is short staff and that places are trying to be more eco-friendly. After a long day of traveling and having to leave our previous hotel, we were ready for a shower and bed. I had to call for extra blankets and pillows for the sleeper sofa. Our bathroom had no large bath towels for showering, just hand towels and face wash clothes. When I called again, I was told that I would have to go down and grab them. That was inconvenient for me.

Also, this location lists that they provide breakfast. The next morning, when my husband took our dog out, I had asked him to go check out what they have for breakfast. He came back and said there was just coffee. We left the hotel around 9 am to go start out our day. The was a lady working the desk, so I inquired about breakfast. She said that once the oatmeal and muffins run out, breakfast is done. I felt like this hotel should NOT advertise that they provide breakfast. It is very misleading.

this place is not a place i would ever stay at. i walked in and walked right back out. there were drugs everywhere, you could smell them, they were on the floor in the halls. it was not safe. the front clerk had her top button button and nothing else. she was very nice, but not appropriate. the door for the room didn't lock and didn't close properly. burns all over the counter. not safe.

Place was close to where we need to go. So we booked it. Never ever have we ever experienced such a bad place. We'll never book here or this type of place anymore.The entire place smelt like Marijuana. The room was not cleaned. Bed sheets were dirty with yellow stains and pillows were dirty and smelled nasty. Bathroom door had a hole in it. Also bathroom had roachs crawling on the ground and the toilet and bathtub. Throughout the night it smelt like Marijuana all night. Front desk receptionist was very unprofessional. I had to ask to get the bedsheets replaced. Due to them not being clean. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
