This hotel was a hole in the wall. My problem is with Hotel.com! I reserved a room with Wingate by Wyndham. My confirmation brought us to Baymont by Wyndham and too by surprise they had our reservation. I believe the original place was full (we had to check in late) and our reservation was switched to Baymount.

If I am just commenting on the property in which we stayed I would have to say, staff is questionable! We believe they live there, children helping their parents clean the room, trash in the hallway our entire visit (2 days) only the lights and TV worked in our room, the continental breakfast was a joke and the staff was walking around eating it. This place was such a joke, there aren’t enough words to describe it.

Check in clerk was not very friendly and didn't even tell us the elevator was out. Room was okay clean, but the refrigerator was turned off and all the defrost water was in the freezer tray. When i pulled it out, it spilled all over because it was so full. Someone should have emptied it before assigning the room to a new guest. Also, the microwave had no turn table in it and was unplugged. The cord was very short and the grounding pin was pulled out. We reported it to the front desk and all they did was bring a lamp that had a place to plug into and plugged the microwave into that like an extension cord. They never did anything about there not being a turntable. Additionally, the side entry door was blocked open with a rock so anyone could come in at any time. And the employees stand outside that door and smoke so it blows into the building. Smelled like someone was smoking inside.

To start off the staffs were very nice, and friendly. My complaint- door was broken, when we first used the key it worked but then it stopped working and the workers couldnt fix it until the next day when we left for a little bit. Very inconventient because we had to keep bothering them to manually open our door. And it wasn't just one room, both room door did that. They were able to fix one door but not the one I was staying at. Place states breakfast but no breakfast available. Unless you feel cereal and bagel is enough then yes thats breakfast. The pool was out of order.

There were little things but those things didn't bother me. I know it's not 5 star hotel but I expected what was listed on the site. It was located close to a target and walmart, so that was nice and convenient.

Overall, will not recommend. The hotel is older and needs a lot of updating. Needs more for what you're paying for.

One of the rooms was missing pillow cases. After 3 hours I finally went and got them myself and put them on. I also asked for 3 clean towels since neither of my rooms were cleaned. I was told to bring my dirty ones to them so I did. I waited a few hours and asked again. They told me they would bring them to the room. I was in the room all night and never got towels. I understand the ICE crap going one but your customers still need to be treated with requests. The pool was not operable because not enough staff.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I figured a name like Wyndham would be better.
The first room we were given, there was no heat. We turned the heater up to 90 and it just blew cold air. There was only 1 threadbare blanket and 2 sheets on the bed (in December). The one bed was broken, and there was no shampoo or conditioner for the shower. There was a brown substance smeared all over the window.
We were given a different room due to no heat in the first. The second room was so hot that we had to open the window at 3:00 AM to cool down. There were minimal blankets in this room as well so the front desk gave us extra, though we didn’t need them with the heating situation.
We were told upon check-in to expect a lovely breakfast in the morning. An apple and 3 miniature waffles to divide between 2 kids is not what I would call lovely. Luckily there was an IHOP down the street.
Terrible experience - can’t even give 1 star.

The front desk ckerk was AMAZING. She did a great job at greeting us. The room smelled of bleach, which was comforting but it was only 60 degrees in there. In a room with no carpet - it was terrible. The lamp shade was broken. Phone was broken with most buttons missing, and the tv did not work. Upon further digging, that clean smell was false as the furniture proved to be awfully dirty..

The place was absolutely filthy. Will never go there again. Went to one before and it was very nice. That's why we booked this one. It is a dump. It smelled bad the minute we walked in. Floors were filthy. Overall...bad. We should have been refunded for our stay.

Our room was terrible, not clean and the bed was broken !!
There were drills and screwdrivers laying around. The TV didn't work. The carpet and Chair were really badly stained and smelled. The book about the hotel and surrounding area etc. looked like someone spilled on it!! It was sticky and gross. We went down to the front desk and complained and the man behind the desk and the maintenance man were yelling at each other. He finally asked me what I needed and said he will be up to our room in a few minutes to check it out. We waited for 1hour and then went downstairs and checked out. I expect a full refund!!!

The room was decent, moatly clean, comfortable bed, however really glad I brought my own pillow as the ones provided were badly stained with no pillowcases. It was pretty quiet generally, but the room doors didn't close without being yanked, which led to a lot of random bangs at night that scared me awake. The breakfast had very few options and any non-carpeted areas were really sticky. Did it work, yes. Would i stay there again? No.

Don't stay there

I showed up about an hour early and the front desk person said that check in is at 3pm. I told him that I know. He went and to see if they were done cleaning the room. He gives the key, i go and look at it and it still wasn't clean like the hotel that I stayed at for 4 days. There was a ballon next tonthe bed. There were ant all over the one side of the bed. The dresser drawers were sealed with screws. The remote control was not linked to the tv had no back plate for batteries. There was still hair in the bathroom and not mine. There were some kind of panels under the dresser.

The pool was out of order when i looked in the door they had hundreds of old air units sitting around the pool no water in the pool rooms had dirty floors air units dont work mold on ceilings one room had bugs and clogged toilet first room had an old uint in the middle of our room floor water smelled funny i do not recommend at the price they have listed the price should be under 50 bucks

When I arrived it looked like a refuge camp. There were people outside cooking on grills and makeshift tables everywhere. I asked the front desk clerk if this was safe and he laughed and said yes. Our room was full of stains from the walls with poop and the furniture had different stain colors. The next morning the crowds of people were yelling in the lobby with no regard of anyone else and the counter people just ignored it or were included in the load conversations of whatever language it was. That night we had to go in a side door because they blocked the front entrance. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Not sure where to even begin. The staff wasnt knowledgeable about the hotel itself, was told when we arrived the pool was being renevated and we had specifically picked this hotel for the pool, (after looking at past reviews the pool has been being \"renovated\" since AT LEAST Dec 2024) its very clearly just being used as a storage area as you can see under the blinds on the wibdows trying to hide the fact. The inside and outside of the building were filthy and disgusting. There are CLEARLY people living in the hotel that seem to think they own the place and literally take over. The breakfast was PATHETIC. Waffles.. maybe an apple or two and cereal thats almost empty. Theres a toaster and whn i asked about something to put in it the guy just shrugged at me and said theres a toaster there. The website claims they have all these great things, including omlettes made for you by an attendant. No sign of any such thing. Our room had a broken picture on the wall with a hufe chunk of glass missing from it. The tv didnt work and we had to have someone come in and it took him having to go get 3 different tvs then sitting there trying to set it up. And the only reason he even came to do it was brcause my dad was talking to him outside (he had told the manager but he hadnt said anything to anyone about it)
Was just a horrible stay overall.

The pool wasn't functional. No water in it even. No cable. She said she would come to the room twice and never showed up for the whole day and night. No phones in the room. Water in the tub didn't drain for several minutes. Not worth 170 a night thats for sure. Maybe 60 a night. The beds were comfortable and clean. That's the only thing that was.

WTH open window, moldy fridge, weed stench walkway

We arrived at 11:00 p.m. with people talking loudly in the parking lot and in the welcome seating area. Entire hotel either smelled like fish guts or marijuana coming from various rooms. Mini fridge in room had black mold in it and smelled horrendous. Microwave missing glass spinning plate. TV did not work even after plugging all cords back in. Window in room was open when we arrived most likely to vent the stinky fridge. Both bed sheets had Trace amount of dirt left on them and each had a dried out bug body on them. There was no box of tissues in the room. Breakfast was lacking just before 9:00 a.m. We stayed as my daughter recently had surgery on her leg and needed to lay down and I was not about to keep dragging her hotel to hotel. Room cost $211 but that was more a Minnesota St Paul on a Friday night issue...

Floor had not been vacuumed, spiders in webs in three different corners. Ceiling was peeling in both the bathroom and bedroom. Air conditioner was broken so you couldn't see the temperature. Obvious friends or family were dropping food on the floor and elevator and not cleaning it up. Couch was dirty.

The property is not living up to its potential. The facilities are not in great condition. Everything needs a thorough cleaning.

I had maintenance issues with a TV that didn't work and a broken toilet seat. Neither issue was resolved.

The breakfast bar was not fully stocked on a busy Saturday morning.

Overall, this was not a great property for the money you pay.

The room was terrible tried multiple rooms each one dirty, broken furniture and lamps, non working toilets. Decided to just leave and stay somewhere else. Do not stay here. Just had to eat the prepaid stay cost, but better than staying at this joke of a property.

The room was not vacuumed, we found a Dime and a red licorice twizzler on the floor between the bed and nightstand; the window screen was torn (we were on the first floor) and the shades were about 6 inches too short and couldn’t block the light and view; lights, refrigerator and microwave were not plugged in; television remote needed complicated sequences to access the tv and we had to get a staff member to come show us how to work it as there were not printed instructions available; the bathroom floor was dirty, especially around the toilet; there was no ice bucket in our room and the ice machine was not working anyway.
On the positive side: the staff was congenial and helpful, finding an ice bucket for us and filling it from a bag of ice they had available, helping with the tv remote. Also the mattresses were very comfortable.

The hotel is currently under construction, which was not advertised. The pool and hot tub were closed due to construction, and the continental breakfast was subpar at best. The staff was nice, but it didn't make up for the fact that I was unable to use the pool or the hot tub and I still had to pay full price for the room.

The first room we checked into had a bug on the bed and then we went to the front desk to get another room- when I showed the clerk the picture, she just said \"yeah that's definitely a bed bug.\" I'm no expert myself but got a different room. Checked that bed over and it looked ok.

However, sleeping in the bed was terrible. The mattress sunk way down in the middle. There was no sharing the bed with my husband, because we both sank to the middle.

The pool is closed for good it seems. I wasn't there to swim but want to make others aware

Also the elevator is not working. The buttons inside the elevator are broken so they cannot be pushed.

I hope this hotel eventually can clean up and invest some money in fixing up their property.

Our actual reservation wasn't available. The heat was not on so room was freezing cold with temps outside in single digets and there was a huge freezing draft under the unit. Floor needed to be vacuumed. Shower was very good though. Front desk late night checked in person was awesome. Parking lot had not bee plowed, probably all winter. Parking was thin. Breakfast was very slim.

Do not waste your money on this hotel

Check in was simple, didn’t expect much. One of the room keys didn’t work. Got into the room it looked ok at first- heat was not on so it was pretty cold in the room. Fridge and microwave were unplugged. Bathroom was hands down the worst part. Had one towel to use for after shower. And that towel had various stains from previous guests- why is it so hard to buy new towels? Other smaller towels were tearing and also had stains. I don’t believe that bathroom had been cleaned in a month. Didn’t have full roles of toilet paper, mirror was dirty, counter top had stains, and body hair, hair, hair all over the bathroom. DISGUSTING. I know you are paying for a room but come on. There was also some mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtain. Floor tiles were loose. Overall a negative experience, I don’t recommend this hotel and will not be scheduling anymore stays.

Upon entering hotel a guest was smoking in the entry way where management and employee could see nothing was done my husband asked that she smoke outside as our child had asthma and that is a extreme trigger for her entry way was full of smoke smell my daughter has had to go back to using her nebulizer because of it. First room we had went to adjust the thermostat and it fell off. Booked hotel for its pool which was pictured functional only to find out it has not been operational for months and is being used for storage. Also signage all over about being a non smoking hotel and room will be charged if you smoke in building but must not extend to entryways!

We had only thin fleece on the beds, no comforters and only 1 towel and hand towel in the bathroom. The corners of the bathroom were dirty as well.

Booked this place because it was convenient and had a pool for my kids. When we got there the pool was closed indefinitely.

Our room was not vacuumed and only had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels for a double queen. No wash cloths or a bath mat. Curtains would not close all the way. Everything was dated and in rough shape. No housekeeping came to our room while we were gone to refresh towels or change garbages.

Breakfast was an absolute joke, frozen waffles that were sitting in a pan under a heat lamp, bagels were stale, and a hodgepodge of different cereals mixed together. Juice machine did not work.

For what we got, this place was way overpriced. I did not feel safe asking for a refund or even to have the issues addressed. I checked out early and will never go back.

The water pressure in the shower was excellent, as was the bed. The carpeting was dirty, the room was so hot and stuffy, it was hard to sleep and the A/C didn't work so it couldn't be cooled. The swimming pool was shuttered. Breakfast consisted of Eggos under a warming light, apples and an assortment of bread. Very disappointing.

We stayed for 3 nights. There was no wifi and as people travelling in a different country we relied on this. The entire time it was not repaired and they Continued to tell us they were working on it. The pool was completed closed - no access. Breakfast was bagels and eggo waffles - no other options. Not even fruit or yogurt. Coffee was never replaced. Breakfast was advertised at 6am during the weekdays but wasn’t set up until 7:30am. The staff was never actually behind the counter and among All this - when we brought these to their attention the staff shrugged and did Not care. We asked for some compensation and were Told no - we could call a manager if we wanted to complain.

The cost of this room was enormous for the way it looked, no phone in room, TV did not work, no ice machine in building that worked. Will never stay here again.

The staff was nice. The elevator worked, the AC worked, and the lobby was nice. The curtains fell, there were some broken windows, the coffee maker in the room didn't work, the sheets were too big for the bed and kept falling off, the pool was closed, and the bathrooms by the pool were locked.

I was very unhappy with my stay I’m already in a situation due to me losing everything to a house fire. The prices are extremely high and very unreasonable. Nothing ever looks like the pictures but I guess when you have mishaps in life this comes with that.

The keys to the room were constantly not working. To the point I had to change rooms. It was understaffed. The staff that were working were friendly. But it was setup to fail. Would never recommend this facility to anyone.

This hotel was a replacement by Expedia at 11:30 pm after our original booking hotel had no room. It was ok clean, bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was only cereal and milk but clerk was at least respectful. Won’t be staying here again.

This hotel was the most disgusting I have ever stayed in! There was blood stains on the wall. The room did not look like you have been cleaned in weeks, if not months, toilet paper was shoved in a broken peephole, the dresser was screwed shut, the phone was gone. It looked like something shady happened in the room.

They did give us another room, but when I asked to get a refund for the second night, they refused. We left anyways and just lost our money. My family’s safety is more important. I have never been so scared staying a night in a hotel.

Rooms were not clean. Pool and hot tub were out of commission. Our entire stay. Breakfast was very limited. The coffee maker and our room had used coffee grounds in it. The refrigerator was not working. And every time you turn the TV on the volume was at 94. on the bright side, the staff was very friendly

I was provided a double bed room and upon entering, it smelled of mildew. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed and we walked onto dirty floors. I checked both beds and they were made with stained and dirty sheets. I addressed the issues with the manager who offered a new room and upon checking that room also, the bed sheets were also stained and dirty. I ultimately asked for a refund and went to another hotel. There is also nothing online that mentions the indoor pool is not in service and drained. The whole area is closed off.

The sheets were not clean and the tub drain was clogged and drained very slow so you didn’t feel clean. I will not stay there next year when I visit. I took a picture of the sheets if you want evidence.

Liked: friendly staff.
Didn't like: room condition: four-drawer dresser had one drawer that worked, one that didn't and missing. Shower bar broken. Bed frame extended so could easily bump ankle on it. Pool closed,, no water. Breakfast very poor, two kinds of cereal, bagels, bread, apples, coffee and juice; nothing else. No protein items.

Our room was very dirty/ stained bedding and unsanitary mattress. Two other families had to ask for different rooms due to the uncleanliness. Lamp did not work between the two beds so you couldn’t see well. Finally after 10 minutes my family and I ended up leaving because I couldn’t have my family stay in those conditions.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

Excuses was the name of the game. Arrived at midnight, and checked in with no effort. Light in entry flickering, TV didn't work, beds made improperly, sink dirty, hair dryer rusty, phone cord couldn't attach to handset, and no blankets. Switched to a new room in the morning and while cleaner,TV couldn't be made to work. Switched to another room and found broken 1 1/2\" fingernail and soda bottle caps on floor and used soap in shower. Asked for clean towels after 3 days and told they were all in the dryer, and they would bring some in an hour. Had to go to the desk the next morning to get fresh towels. While I understand the difficulties of finding reliable staff, someone needs to inspect these rooms like their mother in law was staying there. This experience will DEFINITELY effect my future choice when choosing a place to stay. If these comments sound picky,just know that my wife had a double lung transplant approximately 15 months ago and cleanliness is VERY IMPORTANT to us.
