We went to this hotel for the pool and ot was closed, no where on expedia or the hotels website did it say the pool was close. Sleeping on n the bed felt like sleeping on a pile of rocks. I got the 2 bed room and only got 2 pillows per bed. Also, don't try and use the tv, it doesn't work, there are 0 channels on it so if you want to watch something you have to bring your own inputs to hook up to the tv or just us your phone.

Let’s start with walking in.
Walking in there are signs everywhere saying “NO VISITORS ALLOWED”. Right there was a clue this was NOT a family friendly place.
The front desk guy was rude. I understand his frustration that he had to repeat himself twice because his accent and my bad hearing, but that’s not an excuse to be a jerk.

After checking in and paying our deposit (thinking in our head that we can make this work. We will barely be in the room, and there’s a no cancellation policy.) we notice there is a big sign on the pool reading “Pool closed by order of the HEALTH department.”
Okay great no swimming. Let’s check out the room.

No comforter, two tiny pillows a bed, a nonstop leaking faucet in the bathroom, mold in the bathroom, corner, and on the curtains, and my favorite part, a broken dresser. When I say broken, the front panel of a drawer was missing with nails sticking out. This was a dangerous hazard for my toddler and my other overexcited kids.
At this point we check out immediately. This place is a literal health hazard.
Hotels.com will not let me tell my experience with them in the review so.

The hotel does not match the pictures. The property had trash all over the parking lot, grass not mowed. We checked in easily. We went to the room and there were stains on the bed sheets and comforter. The dresser cabinet was missing 2 drawers and was smashed. The room smelled like cigarettes bad. I do not recommend this property. It looked like people were living there.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel we were traveling there for a football tournament all the way from Iowa with a group of boys that arranged from ages 9 through 11. When we arrived, the pool literally had a sign that said closed due to health code violations, which is the main thing our boys wanted to do when we got to the hotel then we all got to our room rooms and one room was literally miss i g a drawer and nails were exposed. Another room given to someone with beds not even made. It was like they didn’t even clean it before checking it out to another person. The smells throughout the hallway. We’re just horrible. It smelt like spoiled milk and old food. The front desk staff was so short with everybody. None of us felt like it was safe for us to stay there with our kids. The last thing I wanted to do was take home bedbugs or something, which is how filthy the hotel was then when asking to cancel our reservation because of how everything was the front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional. I would never ever send anybody to that hotel.

Tv provided was a roku tv that couldnt connect to the wifi network and the cable tv provided couldnt access, beds had to very small throw pillows on each bed that were as thin as could be, 1 towel for 2 people in the bathroom had to go to front desk to ask for more, breakfast area pictures listed on site showed waffle makers, all that was provided was bread for toast and scrambled eggs which were cold, had to ask staff for a 2 ounce container of juice but could only get 1 total, wires hanging from multiple areas of the ceiling in hallways on 2nd floor alone and above vending machines near the lobby. Pool area closed for whatever reason didn't even bother asking. Would not return to this location even for the price we payed would not have spent half of what I did end up paying

I have never stayed in a motel where both beds in a 2-bed room each had only one sheet. Turned out the top sheet was on top of the thin blanket, so we turned the pairing upside down in order to have two sheets. The room came with 2 thin bath towels and nothing else. When I went to the desk to request two washcloths, the gentleman was gone a long time and returned with one wash cloth and one hand towel, both in worn condition. The ceiling was sagging in the bathroom, and clearly maintenance had been deferred for some time. The sign outside said there was a pool, but it was empty and surrounded by left-over furniture either coming or going.

Very kind and helpful breakfast monitor, but there was hardly anything there.

Upon arrival, parking lot had a lot of litter in it, front entry doors were very dirty, pool was closed “by health department”, bathrooms in lobby had a sign “for employees only”, the front desk clerk was friendly, room appeared clean, beds were made with flat sheet(instead of fitted)> blanket>another flat sheet. No comforter. Only one set of towels and no bath mat.
We did not eat the breakfast so can’t speak to how it was.

Don’t expect much when staying here.

This was the worst experience we have every had. What they post online is and was not what we got in return. The pool was closed due to health violations, the breakfast was not great and if i had to say, there was no breakfast at all. The eggs were runny, there was no other things available. My wife got food poising from the eggs. The outside of the hotel was not picked up. there was garbage all over the place. The rooms were in poor quality and again the pictures of the room was not what we paid for. Things were damaged in the room before we got there like a broken window, the lounge chair was ripped and there was a strong smell of mold. The staff was horrible. I went to complain about what we had issues and we got no resolution. This place needs to be shut down immediately and the whole staff needs to be replaced with individuals that actually care. I would like to have a refund and my $100 deposit back ASAP!! If things are not fixed or taken care of I will be reaching out to a lawyer.

The rooms were dirty and had 1 towel and wash cloth, no shampoo, conditioner, or soap in room. The first room they put us in the toilet didnt work. The second room the toilet paper holder was missing. Both rooms were not stocked with towels, wash clothes, or hygiene products. This place is disgusting. If I didn’t have to stay here for a work conference, I would have avoided it at all costs. Parking lot is trashed, you walk in and there is a smell. Get to my room and it smells of mold and mildew, doesn’t look like they have wiped anything down, vacuumed, stains on the pillow cases and the sheets were wrinkled and had stains on them. I honestly don’t even know if the sheets were changed. I ended up buying new ones and a blanket to put on their nasty bed because I didn’t trust their laundry and cleaning after walking into this room. There was hair on the bathroom floor that was not mine, the shower and the sink don’t drain well. There’s a garbage bag over the smoke detector. Absolutely atrocious. Spend a little extra money and go somewhere CLEAN!!!!

The place wasn't at all like the pictures. The room was a mess, with stained walls, a slow-draining tub, and hardly any towels or pillows – just one of each per bed. When I asked for more, they only gave me one extra pillow and two towels. It was super disappointing, and I'm definitely not staying there again. Extremely disappointing experience. The staff was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely unhelpful throughout our stay. My sister, my son, and I stayed for one night and were provided with only one bath towel and one face towel for all three of us. When I requested additional towels, I was told we would have to wait until the morning, which made no sense since we were checking out the next day.

To make matters worse, the bed was broken, and the room was in poor condition overall. Basic guest needs were ignored, and customer service was practically nonexistent. For the price paid, this level of service and room quality is unacceptable.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. There are far better places to stay where guests are treated with respect and provided with basic accommodations.

Check-in was good, friendly staff. Only 1 bath towel, 1 hand, & 1 floor towel. Half a roll of tp. Room was clean. Ice machine on 4th floor didn't work. We seen a sign \"100% Non-smoking facility\" ... it smelled so much like smoke. Noticed a leaky roof in lobby during the storm. Breakfast choices were corn flakes or raisin brand, 4 pieces of bread, cold eggs, milk, 1 container of OJ to share, & coffee was old. SO basically a place to sleep, sorry.

Nothing looked clean or up to date. My room was dirty, bathroom had lots of rust and black at the foot of toilet. I found a half full juice bottle under my bed. The carpet needs to be replaced. The parking lot was loud with young people dancing ontop of the hood of their vehicles. Honestly, some of the people there looked like they were living at the hotel. It was a horrible stay. I paid for 3 nights and only stayed one night. I was very uncomfortable. There was a lot of doors slamming

The pool was closed (clearly for a very long time). The staff was smoking weed next to the no smoking sign. There was a dog in the lobby of this no pets allowed hotel. We had 2 rooms. One towel total. We went to the lobby to ask for more. They went on the back. Came back out 5 minutes later and asked again how many towels? Went to the back and grabbed 5 towels and handed to us. (What are they doing the first time?) No hair dryer. Signs of forced entry on the balcony...of the 4th floor. No fitted sheets or comforters. The fire alarm went off at 730am. First floor flooded from the sprinklers. Nothing on the 4th floor. Elevators were down. Strong smell of weed in the lobby as it was still raining in the hallways. Yelling people in the hallway until 2am. Thin walls. Sirens kept us up all night. I think I hit the high points... We will never be back.

When we walked in the hotel, there was a sign on the front door, saying no visitors welcome at any time that should’ve been our first clue

The pool is out of order, the workout room is on order. The laundry room is out of order. Several rooms had signs on the door, saying they were not inhabitable and close for remodeling.
Two people staying in our room we got one towel. I went down and asked for a towel and they gradually gave us a second tall.

The pictures on their website we’re definitely misleading. What the actual property was.

I hope they figure this property out. I would not say here again.

Room was badly overdue for remodeling - bathtub had a chip missing near the drain, jacuzzi tub had a hole near the faucet, jacuzzi jet adjustments didn’t work, light over jacuzzi tub burned out, bed frame missing parts, carpet old and scuzzy, fridge missing a leveling leg, wall art over jacuzzi tub had mold growing behind the frame glass, room phone broken and couldn’t call the front desk

One tiny trash can for the whole room including the bathroom

Only one set of towels (bath towel, hand towel, washcloth) for a king-bed room, extras had to be got from the front desk

No bath mat

No housekeeping service at all during a 4-night stay, and no signs saying it would be on request only

LOTS of signs all over the property that owners don’t trust their guests - “no guests allowed”, “only use front door” with other doors locked (not even key-card access!), list of charges posted at the front desk for stolen room items (for example, “alarm clock $25”, “sheet $25”, etc)

Hot water REALLLLLY hot, enough to cause burns

On the plus side, fridge and jacuzzi tub both worked and bed was comfortable

I booked this hotel because it has a swimming pool, a hot tub and a fitness center. I was told all of them are under maintenance. Later I saw that there are dozens of mattresses and other stuff in the swimming pool. Obviously it is used as a storage room, instead of being \"under maintenance\". The hallway smells so bad. People put their shoes in the hallway! There is no ceiling fan in the shower. Anything metal in the bathroom is so rusted. There must be mold in the attic and behind the walls. I can list more things but I don't have time. Don't stay here!

Upon arrival, I noticed the hotel had a stinky musk to it. They proceeded to give us our room on the first floor. We went into our room and there was bedbug poo on the sheets and on the mattresses. There was human puke on the floor and mould in the bathroom. We requested a different room. They put us up on the second floor and the room was no better my stay was scheduled for four days. I left the very next day. Definitely never book at the Baymont in Brooklyn Park. This hotel should be shut down permanently.

No sheets on bed only mattress pad duvet, cover and on top of that was a flat sheet. So many things in the room for cracked, broken torn. Apart, huge sticky spots in the floor the room should have been under construction to be fixed. I'm not rented out for a $100 a night. They're free cottonel, breakfast. It was a bottle of water, a chocolate muffin that was expired by 3 months a granola bar in an apple that was so dark. It almost looked black. You only get one towel. One washcloth and 1 hand towel in a king, sweet room. Absolutely, horrible smells throughout the whole place. Our rooms meld absolutely terrible, and it was hotter than a blue blaze's air conditioner barely worked bathtub. It didn't work no remote controls for the tvs

The place was very dirty, smelled like weed walking down the hall. I immediately asked for another room as there was a horrible smell in the room....the next room wasn't as bad but still bad when I couldn't open the window because screen was broken. I couldn't wait for check out time....

Me and my fiancé stayed here and there was bed bugs in the bed and on the wall of the bathroom on the second floor, and the bathtub was chipped and dirty. Don’t recommend staying here, the hotel is unsanitary

This is a terrible hotel. It is old, smelly, and rundown. It is completely broken. The pool and hot tub are permanently closed. We did not have soap, towels, ironing, board, iron, hangers, and other basic amenities. I do not recommend this property and give it a zero out of 10. I am officially working with Expedia to get a refund on our three night stay. We couldn’t change hotels because this was already booked for my mothers funeral. Very unsatisfied.

The walls were disgusting. Neither room had towels. There were burn marks on the toilet seat. There was no smoke detector. Huge paint chunks missing from the walls. Holes in the wall. Pool was closed by the health department. Breakfast was by far the worst I’ve experienced.

The pictures made it look much nicer than it was. The bed was uncomfortable, there were a people around that made me feel uncomfortable to the point I had to have a male friend come stay over at 3am because it sounded like someone kept trying to open my door to my room. I wouldn’t recommend for ladies staying solo. I rented a room with a whirlpool tub to relax and the jets didn’t work well. When they started what looked like leaves and black particles appeared in the water so that was a waste.

Booked the hotel room for the specific reason that online it stated that there was a swimming pool! I was not notified that the pool was not open due to construction. I thought we were unlucky to book during the two weeks of construction. I later found out that the pool had been permanently closed for years! I ask for a refund and they refuse!

Additionally, your explanation regarding the 24/7 front desk attendant being away assisting another guest does not address my primary concern. My voicemail, left at 7:24 PM, detailing multiple issues—including a clogged toilet, a non-functional in-room phone, an inoperable jacuzzi light, and a non-working TV—was completely ignored. No one returned my call, nor did anyone attempt to follow up by knocking on my door. When I checked out at 9:00 AM the following morning, I reported these issues in person to the front desk. I was assured that the information would be passed along to the manager, yet more than 24 hours passed with no response. I left another voicemail in the hotel's general mailbox before escalating my concerns to corporate.

To reiterate, I do not want points. I want a full refund to my card immediately. This was one of the most frustrating hotel stays I have ever experienced, and I have only outlined the most critical issues. Additionally, we specifically booked this hotel because of the advertised pool, which, unbeknownst to us, had been shut down by the health department for an extended period. This misleading information further added to the disappointment.

What was intended to be a relaxing night after a stressful day at Shriners Hospital for my child turned into the opposite. Given the unacceptable service, unaddressed safety concerns, and the misrepresentation of amenities, I expect a full refund.

This property is beneath any Baymont I have ever stayed in. The room was not clean stained sheets they said we do not have fitted sheets for the bed. Shower was nasty. I reserved a jacuzzi that I refused to use. I tried to get ice and he came from the back with a glove and offered a hand of ice. No machines work in the hotel. Also breakfast was cereal toast they had in cooked bacon and eggs that were chopped up to crumb's. I took pictures it was not worth my money. Then when you call customer service the try to see you Medicare and you can't get anyone on the line. A total disaster
