I stayed at Extended Stay America - Maple Grove on Friday, February 27th, in room 327, and it was without question the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in.
The moment I walked in, it was obvious the room had not been properly cleaned. The floors were dirty, and the outside of the refrigerator was absolutely filthy. The cabinet door underneath the sink was broken and hanging poorly. The toilet bowl had feces splashed inside it — clearly it had not been cleaned at all. The bathroom mirror wasn’t even fastened to the wall; it was just sitting on the counter. On top of that, the mirror was covered in toothpaste splatter from someone else brushing their teeth. Even the artwork in the bathroom was dirty and splashed.
The bathtub had a slimy scum coating the bottom and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The counter the TV sat on was badly damaged and scratched up. The curtains didn’t even cover the window — they appeared to have been torn down from the hooks and then poorly “repaired” with paper clips, which obviously did not work.
To make matters worse, there was pubic hair in the supposedly clean hand towels. That was the breaking point. The only reason I stayed was because the bed appeared clean and I was completely exhausted.
Although the receptionist was friendly in person, she would not answer the phone when I called from my room or even when I called from the front desk area. There is more but not enough room here.

We did not end up spending the night here. There was a hole in the wall about 6 inches wide, the back of the bathroom door had a large sticker in it as wide as the door. The furniture was in so disrepair the drawers in the dresser wouldn't close. The cover for the ceiling fan in the bathroom was in the sink. It was NOT clean we didn't even feel comfortable to sit down. I would like my money back from this property. I'm surprised it's not condemned.

Doesn't bode well when you check in and theres still a fan attempting to dry the soaked carpet still in your room. My room smelled so bad of mildew I couldn't be in there long. My carpet was soaked to where I couldn't take my shoes off unless I wanted wet socks or feet. Don't get me started on the half cleaning that was done to the room. Extended stay has gone DOWNHILL!!!

We had to find a hotel in a hurry as our daughter had surgery and had complications and ended up being admitted, we seen this hotel on expedia and was close by so we decided to go with it, from the the very first impression of walking up to the front desk was bad, there was no one there, there was a sign up that said dial the number for help, we did this 4 times before someone came and was still actively chewing food when she got to the front desk, we were exhausted as we drove several hours to bring our daughter to the hospital so we just wanted to get to our room and go to sleep, we got in the elevator which had burn marks in it, graffiti, and dirty floor, room was filthy,smelled bad, greasy hand prints caked on the bathroom door, cabinet doors were broken and dangling, brown stains on the ceiling, mysterious white stains by the corner of the bed on the floor, we will leave you to your imagination to what those stains were, gross! The chair in the corner was ripped, stains in the carpet, the wall light was dangling and light flickering, there was a marijuana blunt roach on the floor next to the end table,black frizzy hair in the bed, the sheets had stains, and the bed was broken and leaning towards the head board so I barely was able to sleep it was the worst most uncomfortable and disgusting stay I've ever had and that says a lot I'm not a picky person and am usually understanding but for that place to get that bad it had to have been neglected for quite some time.

The bathroom had mold and dirt in it. The bathtub faucet was leaking and not attached the wall, the air conditioner didn’t work, there were holes in the wall painted over, and the dresser drawer handle was broken off. It smelled in the hallways. Our hallway was dirty. We did not stay. We walked out immediately.

I recently booked a stay at this hotel but had to leave immediately upon arrival due to serious safety concerns. When I reached my assigned room, I found the door wide open, and there were unfamiliar individuals wandering the hallway. This created an atmosphere that felt unsafe and deeply unsettling.

Out of concern for my personal safety, I chose not to enter the room. I went to the front desk to request a different room, hoping for a quick resolution. Unfortunately, my request was denied without any explanation or effort to understand my concerns. I then asked for a refund, which was also refused outright.

What was most troubling about this experience was the complete lack of acknowledgment or support from the hotel staff regarding the safety risks I raised. Their indifference made it clear that guest safety was not a priority.

This experience left me shaken and disappointed. I strongly urge others to think twice before booking a stay here. At the very least, I expected a basic level of care and concern for my wellbeing — but sadly, that was nowhere to be found.

Drawers missing. I had to hook up the drapes with one of the drape pins in order to darken the room as one side was hanging down. Odors from people cooking in their rooms weren't necessarily pleasant. The elevator was pretty beat up and there was no inspection notice. Rate was good but we would have to be desperate to stay there again.

Took 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk at check in and the place is dirty!
The clerk didn’t offer anything to us or even greet us. I said we are here to check in and she said - name? Then proceeded to not say another word. The clerk in the morning was worse! Asked what do you want ? I said checking out and handed her our room keys that she threw on the front counter and started to walk into the back and when I stood there - she said - do you need something else. I told her. Wasn’t comfortable leaving my room keys that had the room number on the holder just laying out. Someone could grab the. And access the room. She never punched anything in the computer that would deactivate the keys she said no one would do that and walked to the back.

We booked it for 5 nights but only stayed there 2 or 3 because it was such a poor experience. Maple Grove and Plymouth are generally safe areas but we did not feel safe there after a couple experiences we had with others. We didn't like that there was no remote for the TV, dishes and utensils in unit, crooked lamp shades, 2 of 3 lamps not working, 2 work station tables but only 1 chair, a shower tub that looked so bad neither of us wanted to use it, the floor mat towel was folded nicely over the tub edge when we arrived but totally soaked wet, the kitchen sink looked awful (apparently hard water stains), the chair for the work station had stains whereby my husband didn't want to sit on it and he said the mesh back of the chair felt sticky. Those were a few of the things we didn't like. We did like that it had working air conditioning. We were grateful that the reception desk could give us a tv remote and dishes and utensils. In general, I really would not recommend staying here.

First, the staff on hand did everything she could to help me, including check at least up to five different rooms for me to have something. I will admit that I did not know that you could not check in past midnight. I had issues to where I couldn’t make it to the property until 1245a. She did everything she could find me a room so I was very appreciative of that. She struggled to find any open rooms because the organization of who was staying on property was almost nonexistent and her iPad that she had to use to check me in was not functioning almost at all, so she physically had to go into rooms to see if people were occupying those rooms so that I could get a room.

After she found me an After she found me, the bathroom door handle was broken off and sitting on the counter. The bathroom counter has stains all over it. The bathtub where I was supposed to take a shower was ridiculously dirty and moldy. There were numerous punctures or holes in the walls. One outlet near a bed. The other outlet wasn’t even installed correctly and was literally in the wall by wires only. The mattress that I slept on hasn’t been changed out in years and you could tell.

I normally don’t expect much for a room at that rate however, I do expect a room to be somewhat clean and usable. Honestly, the room that I had was a complete joke and the pictures that I see on Expedia are either one or two rooms that they’ve updated or don’t actually exist. I have no idea to be honest. This hotel was ok for the price. Its in a good location that is safe and quiet. However my bath tub didnt have the lever to make it a shower, it appeared as though it had been cut off or something. Staff took note of it but seemed too busy to actually fix anything. The on the go breakfast lacked options so i was glad i brought my own food.

This property needs a huge influx of money and TLC to bring it back to a desirable place to stay. The room was not just dirty but the door handle on the bathroom fell off, the tub was rusted and dripping, and the bed was old and saggy with ripped linens and poorly made. The lobby had a caution wet floor sign but the floor was actually dirty and the glass doors were filthy. The staff was pleasant but didn't appear to take a lot of pride in the place. I could not recommend this place and regret making the reservation here.

Things that did not work, half the lamps and the tv. The carpet was disgusting, I’d only wear my flip flops in the room. The bath tub leaked all night. I had to request the front desk guy around 11pm to ask guests who were parting on the front porch to leave they were so loud. I had to be up at 5am and couldn’t fall asleep until midnight. I’ve stayed in many ESAS across the country and never had an experience like this.
Front desk guy was great, only good thing about my stay. I’d actually like my money back.

They ran my card three times in one day, they rooms are trash, to be charging $90 a day and not to have any one clean my room after a month of stay, the front desk clerks are rude, loud and unprofessional… They make u wait in the hallway for no reason! Property was conveniently located for our needs, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. ( Especially Kevin on the afternoon shift) The room was spacious and the king sized bed was very comfortable.
However, there were multiple things in the room in need of repair. The kitchen faucet constantly dripped, the sink was stained and kind of gross, and the countertop was bubbling up...needing to be replaced. The picture online shows a coffee pot in the room....but there wasn't one. ( Thank you Kevin for finding that for us) Also the shower head needs replacing. And there was a hole in the wall where someone before us had opened the bathroom door and smashed the wall with the handle.
We were in the area to visit family, so really didn't spend much time in the room. As long as the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, that was what mattered most for us. (And, of course the coffee pot)
We will research other options before booking here again

The property was surprisingly run down for the area. I originally only rented a room for one night and check f out the next morning. Later that day I needed another room so I rebooked. The next morning some rude lady was banging on my door long before check out to find out if I was staying again and told me if I was then I couldn’t check out and rebook. I wasn’t sure at that moment so I just decided to check out and when I needed a room again that night I went elsewhere. I didn’t get a discount for multiple nights so why would it matter if I book separately? I hardly make any mess so it’s not like they have to deep clean each room when I check out. Needless to say since they don’t want to do the job they are being paid to do, I’ll stay somewhere I’m more welcomed.

The hotel furniture wasnt the greatest. The TV looked like from the early 2000s, Bathroom tub was just dirty. The sink had lime buildup. The microwave looked like something from the 90s, the rotating plate did not rotate and was faced down. The stench of cannibis was present in the bathroom. Overall I would avoid this place, I won't be coming back.

No hair dryer, smelled horrible, and received a notice 5mins after checking in that water was being turned off at 8am the next morning so “plan accordingly.” So I did and left immediately.

Started off with the elevator not working, next our key wouldn't open the door, spent a long time working it, even getting it stuck in the slot. Entering the room was completely disappointing, first thing we noticed was a strong smell of smoke. You could still see foot prints in the floor. The room was filthy. The tub was dripping all night, we had to ask for a shower curtain as there wasnt even one in place. Overall we felt dirtier just staying here. Cabinet doors broken, missing handles, light fixtures missing or missing covers, outlet covers off. And the stated free breakfast? Some muffins and coffee. Not a breakfast.

The TV didn't work. The kitchen sink leaks and I had a hard time sleeping. The upstairs neighbors were too loud. Upon arrival our room wasn't ready.

First sign I countered reminded me management not responsible for theft or damage to my vehicle. It made it seem property might be inot safe. In”Their” parking lot, not a ramp , or off site but “Their” property. Room appeared to need a big upgrade and tub did not drain .I did not want to walk barefoot on the carpet.

There was no person at the front desk to check people in. Some waited for up to 2.5 hours. I got to the room and there was no pillow. I had to leave the same night.

Find a better hotel.

Outside entryway all you smell is dog poop.

As you walk in to front desk you are hit by a strong smell of marijuana.

They say there is breakfast all they have is coffee and if your lucky oatmeal.

There was mold above the shower.

There was junk sitting in the hallways (plunger, Step stool, garbage)

Sink in the room kitchen had no stop when you turned the handle you could turn both handles all day long and it would not stop.
