We enjoyed our stay - one night. Loved being in the hub of Port Credit. The room was beautiful - view of the marina and lake (past the parking lot) but always a great sight. We've stayed here before and it never disappoints. It's a shame that they never reopened the restaurant and found a way to make that work. It is such a great addition to the hotel. Our only complaint is that we find some of the front desks that can be a little crusty. But we laughed them off and enjoyed our stay.

Big rooms; it used to be an apartment building. Full kitchen with washing machine but there was nothing to cook with, not even one pan. There's a note stating to call if more utensils are needed so if you plan on using the kitchen be sure to get everything up front. Great location beside a marina and very good walking paths. Lots of restaurants on the street and the best \"breakfast all day\" just several hundred feet across the bridge.

We didn’t know we were getting a full suite including mini dishwasher and washer/dryer for less than the price of a basic hotel room.

Only negative was sofa and carpet could use freshening up so they didn’t smell a bit stale.

The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The parking across the road at the yacht club was included with the room; a parking pass was provided at check- in.

The TV was smaller than expected, and no microwave oven was provided.

The bathroom was reasonably large, bright , and had two sinks, a large
tub, and a stand-alone shower.

There is no kitchenette, but there is a bar fridge, and a single serve coffee maker.

I just thought the room was a little dated needed a few tweaks. And they should replace the bathroom cabinet cause there was a lot of damage. The lack of kitchen appliances, no kettle no toaster no pots and pans when there is a kitchen there they should have supplied.

First of all I rarely leaves a bad review anywhere. Hotel room was supposed to be a LUXURY 2 bedroom one bath for four people. Bathroom had no lock, floor was dirty and smelly. This place is so outdated it's not even funny. We had such a terrible experience from beginning to ending !!!! Staff was not very helpful. Only two set of towels was in the bathroom for four people. I spend two nights no staff came to clean my room, this hotel didn't worth a dime, just a nightmare. The area outside is very nice with lots of restaurants and night life. I paid quite a lot for this hotel that was just not worth it.

Quaint boutique style hotel. Loved the fact that room has a sitting area and separate bedroom. Also helpful for long term stays are a washing machine and kitchenette. As mentioned in other reviews, gym is in need of serious updating. Treadmill is not working and very limited weights. It seems like the gym is placed in a spare room. Great location to walk to marina and restaurants. No smart TV in the room, so you are limited to channels they provide. Check in process was easy, although it is confusing where to park to quickly check in. That might be something that was sent to me and I missed it, but I would ask before showing up.

The waterside is in the middle of a renovation. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and prompt to address issues. The Hotel balconies had paint peeling away and floor tiles cracked/missing. The room was spacious and clean but needed a lot of updating with paint touchups, cleaning bathroom grout & caulk etc. It its current state, I cannot give it 5-stars but depending on the scope of their renovations, it could be really fantastic. They were actively updating the balconies during my stay.

Location is great with relaxing walk through the marina and excellent dining a short walk away.

This hotel is totally fine, it's probably a 3.5 star hotel in my opinion. The staff were very nice and helpful but the property is just ok. My room was actually fairly large (one bedroom suite) and comfortable. Bed was quite comfortable. But the whole place is a bit tired and in need of a spruce up. The room was clean but had signs of wear and tear for sure. The biggest deterrent for me was not having any kind of food source on the property - no cafe, no bar etc. However, there is a world of choices of restaurants and cafes just around the corner on Lakeshore. We stayed here for a conference so having an onsite bar or gathering spot would have been great for all of the conference goers as a place to congregate.

I’m sure not everyone will have a bad experience at The Waterside Inn, but we did. Water leak in the bathroom that almost caused my nephew to slip and crack his head, non-stop ear shattering construction above our room that featured a musty smell, amenities and outlets that didn’t work, a sliding door with no screen to keep out the swarm of bugs, and doors that didn’t lock, in addition to some staff that seemed to be having a bad day, that was our experience. You may have better luck though, unless you require room service, they have none.

Unfortunately this stay was not as good as our previous stay. I like this boutique hotel because its proximity to walkable food and entertainment, and convenience of having a kitchen. The past times I have stayed, cooking utensils and pots/pans were in the room. This time, I had to request every item, even a knife to cut. The first room we were put in, we got ourselves settled and then the shower curtain fell down. We asked for maintenance but no one was available so we had to repack and move. The next room had no heat. When we asked about it, the staff had no solution so brought blankets. It was my birthday weekend and I was disappointed.

The check-in attendant asked me if expedia offered me free parking and i said no- so she laughed and said they usually do- this was poor customer service. I asked her if she can offer me free parking, she said no and laughed again- super strange way of making customers feel welcomed. We stayed at Waterside Inn hotel for two nights as a family, and while there were a few positives, our overall experience was concerning—especially traveling with a toddler.
I want to start by acknowledging that the staff were consistently friendly and professional. Every interaction we had with them was polite and respectful, and they did make an effort to be helpful.
Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. The carpet appeared as it had not been vacuumed in a very long time, and the curtains were visibly dusty. This created an uncomfortable environment, particularly for a family with a toddler who spends time close to the floor and touching surfaces.
Another major issue was the lack of privacy. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign provided in the room, and despite us being inside, housekeeping staff repeatedly knocked and even attempted to open the door on the check-out day around 10AM. Our checkout time was 12PM.
What made this especially troubling is that shortly after our stay, our baby got a fever. While it’s impossible to say with certainty what caused it, the level of dust and lack of cleanliness in the room raises real concerns about hygiene standards.
For families traveling with young children, cleanliness is not optional—it’s essential. Despite the kind and professional staff, we cannot recommend this hotel for families with toddlers unless there are significant improvements in housekeeping and room maintenance.

It’s mouldy, the bathtub siding is coming off, there’s water damage in every room, the bathroom fan doesn’t work, the shower knob is so broken that it just spins around and you have to struggle to get the water to turn on. We were scared it might just fall off. There’s pieces of vanity siding in the bathroom missing from water damage. This place needs to be gutted or torn down. I can’t understand why it’s got 4 stars. It makes zero sense. The fact that there weren’t bugs feels like a win.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made a genuine effort to accommodate my needs throughout my stay. The views from my room were breathtaking, and the furnishings and décor were both stylish and thoughtfully chosen.

Having a kitchen was a huge advantage, and it was very well equipped, which made the stay even more convenient and comfortable. Housekeeping also went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. They were always happy to provide extra toilet rolls or towels upon request—even during late hours.

The housekeeping team in particular deserves special recognition for their dedication and outstanding service. I would highly recommend the Waterside Inn in Port Credit to anyone visiting the area.

Finally, the hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.
