Our room was amazing it was 268 it was our anniversary so we upgraded and worth every penny .house keeping was excellent we came back to our room to find rose petals on the bed and marshmallows also the bar staff were great especially Damian he went above and beyond thank you so much. Breakfast was lovely too and the evening meal was great too .we'll be back.

Very pleasant stay, relaxed in the pool after a long day on our feet in York centre. The Swimming Pool is not that big but adequate but feels full with about 10 people in. Think we were lucky with our timing. There is a Sauna also. City Centre only 5mins by Uber and cheap. We went back into City for a night out. Breakfast was really Nice, even had items Gluten Free for my Wife who is Coeliac. Nice view of the Race Course from back of Hotel. Overall Very nice Hotel

Well located and the restaurant was really nice and breakfast lovely. Our king suite was located in the loft and was uncomfortably warm. We mentioed to the staff and they brought up an extra air conditioner. This didn’t help much and was far too noisy to sleep with it, so we didn’t sleep well. It definitely needs it’s own dedicated aircon system.

The pool changing area was very tired and in need of some attention.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay at the Delta Marriott York. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable but could do with a little updating. We travelled when the temperature was very hot in the UK and the rooms were very warm and only a small fan was provided. There was also no air conditioning in the gym so was unable to use due to the heat but the pool and Jacuzzi was lovely. The breakfast was excellent and would definitely recommend there was lots of choice. We would still recommend the hotel despite some small updates needed. Lastly the location is excellent. A short walk from York Minster and beautfiul views of the York Racecourse on your door step.

The staff were excellent and should be commended.
The room was very good but not too keen in waiting for 3 days to have the room cleaned considering the amount we were charged for the room. Not really what is expected when the economy hotels do this everyday unless asked otherwise.
The gym and pool was adequate for the size but gwt in there early especially the pool as it can get quite busy.
The bar was well priced and not overly priced either.
The food..well breakfast was excellent and very well laid out although they are not always upto speed with replenishing food which are in high demand.
The restaurant...I have to say is well over priced. On the first night we used the restaurant as it was the easier option. I had the brisket mac and cheese...well there was more beef in a beef sandwich from a corner shop. Extremely disappointed especially when it looked like it had just come out of the Microwave. My partner has the prawn risotto....a plate of mushy rice with 5 prawns on the top. Least to say we never ate there for our evening meals again.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable sized room, sturdy and luxurious bed with two mattress toppers for cloud like sleep. Mini fridge to store my own drinks. Tv connected to my phone for netflix and other channels avaible. Nice views over the race course. Peaceful and quiet. Swimming pool was nice temperature, small but enough to have a little exercise. Didnt try the gym due to my schedule, but looked adequate. Changing rooms in good condition, on par with main stream leisure centres. Breakfast for £10 each person, provided a decent variety of hot and cold foods, various drinks available at no extra cost.

Didnt try evening meals.

Staff were friendly. Cleaning staff were super polite.

General vibe was good and money well spent to enjoy some quality rest and relaxation.

We stayed at this property in May 2026. While the staff were extremely kind and helpful, the air conditioner in our room was not working and they refused to change our room since they were all booked and declined a refund/compensation too. When you pay £137 a night the least you expect is for the air conditioner to work especially when it’s been a hot day and you’re on the top floor of the hotel. Pretty poor for a ‘Marriott’ hotel. Avoid at all costs.

Small bit of feedback, when I arrived I brought my charging cable but not my plug, it wasn’t obvious where the charging points were until I noticed they are built into the base of the light. I would recommend that the front desk staff are made aware this is where it is and maybe an indication in the room. However the staff very kindly charged my dead phone at the desk.

We were in room 169. It was a very long walk to the room. However, it was worth it. We had a full view of York Racecourse, from our balcony.
The room was very roomy and well equipped. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and a very nice buffet breakfast.
The hotel originally was a Manor House built in the 1880s. A very interesting history of it can be found online.

Beautiful place but our mattress was so hard, I lost sleep! There was a point where I considered sleeping on the floor, as I thought it might be more comfortable, and my partner developed back and hip pain.
The staff was lovely, everyone was so friendly and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. About a 20 minute walk from city centre, the location was also great! Apart from the mattress, I would definitely recommend to stay here.

The room we had was dated but clean apart from some mould around the windows. There was a bit of a funny smell but it wasn’t overbearing. The pool was good and open late which was ideal. The steam room wasn’t working when we stayed but the sauna was nice and clean! The hotel was otherwise modern and and there was a nice bar/resturant. We didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment. The hotel location was perfect if you want to go into York (the shambles etc) it was a five min drive and the parking was easy to find albeit pricey! There was bus stops near the hotel if you’re good with public transport or you could easily get an uber if needed! Overall good stay.

This hotel is amazing. We’ve been coming here as a family of 4 for over 7 years and every time it’s great. We’ve especially come for the pool and breakfast which are both excellent. I’d like to highlight the exemplary breakfast staff who do their upmost to make sure it’s special. Special hot chocolate? No problem. Special hot muffins? No problem.
We use the family sized rooms and they’re great for a family of 4 with 2 big kids.

No. The pool was FULL of screaming children! The jacuzzi was broken!! Breakfast was pick over and put away early. Housekeeping was screaming and yelling, slamming doors, and vacuuming around 715am. Absolutely horrible service. When we brought it up, we were gaslit!!!

We stayed in a lovely, spacious room, overlooking York racecourse, with a balcony. There was both a bath and a separate shower, the bed was huge and very comfortable.
It’s about a 30/35 minute walk into the centre of York along the main road or you can walk across the race course down a couple of street to join the river, that took about 45 mins but well worth it.
The pool facilities were lovely, having a wet and dry steam room too. Breakfast was great too, a good choice fruits/cereals/juices and help yourself cooked breakfast items. Me and my partner found all the staff helpful and professional. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent stay from start to finish. Easy and smooth check in with good communication beforehand regarding my specific needs due to disability. Room was super, well laid out and spacious. Bathroom was modern and designed for disabled use. We ate in the on site restaurant 2 nights out of 3 during our stay. Food was really exceptional given it’s a chain hotel. The seabass I had the first evening was really flavourful and the couscous and roasted veg with it was the perfect combination to go with it. I had the crab ravioli the second evening and that was just amazing. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of pastries, bread, cereals, fresh fruits and juice in addition to everything you could possibly want in the hot selections. I used the spa facilities both days enjoying a pedicure and a body massage. The massage left me floating and I would highly recommend them. My only gripe would be the treatment rooms are very small and really doesn’t give you much room for manoeuvre! Don’t let that detract you from the treatments on offer though and the therapists are extremely friendly and good at what they do. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and we will certainly return, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Booked the penthouse for our special day and it wasn't what I was was expecting, room was large but a bit dated surprised there were no USB on the room, carpet needed a good clean, pipes expo in the bathroom, silicone in bathroom was dirty, the view was the car park and grounds, but the biggest let down was the booking in the room should have been ready for 3pm however it wasn't ready until 4:30 making out pre booked meal a little tight infact I cancelled the booked meal as we wouldn't have made it in time, again really not what I expected especially for the price

Our first room has plasters on the fire alarm, requested a room move , this happened and the bed was so hard we didn’t get much sleep, in the morning we requested housekeeping put a mattress topper on the bed , as they didn’t know , put one on each bed instead of 2 on the bed we were sleeping in , used the iron in the room on the morning resulting in a burn mark on my shirt , used the pool facilities and the ladies showers were awful with mould on the ground and silicone ,
Not a nice stay , although York was a beautiful city, breakfast was lovely , staff understood our issues

This is a lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay here. The only reason I’ve given a 4* not a 5* review is that there were no accessible parking spaces available on the Saturday evening when we returned for the night, as wedding guests had chosen to park there without blue badges. Not the hotel’s fault, but they did nothing about it.
Our room was great - the accessible shower had a chair rather than the drop down seat I often find in accessible bathrooms. A chair feels safer. The room was big enough to turn my scooter round so that I could drive forward out of the room rather than have to reverse. The staff were very friendly.

Had a relaxing 2 night stay, the room and bathroom was immaculately clean, we had a great night sleep the bed and pillows were perfect. The whole stay was so close to getting a 10 out of 10 except for 1 thing, in the room was an ice bucket with a card saying if u want ice, phone room service and it will be brought to the room, so I rang they said no problem, anyways am home now and got my own, jokes aside I don't understand why answer the phone if u have no intentions to bring it, then ignore the phone calls,which in fairness you should of done in the first place.

The room was clean, the staff was nice, the swimming pool schedule is good, down side my child got a rush from the chemicals on it. We could have cleaning, but as it was just 3 days we decided not to have it, however we thought that cleaning was for beds and they would still check rubbish and fill the sachets of tea and coffee, but nope. If we needed something we needed to requested it. The hotel is old but in good state, the sink of our bathroom was broken with cracks on it, however worked fine. I couldn't understand the pictures in the frames that they have, it is like a patch work from a magazine made in primary school, I couldn't catch the combination with the rest of the decoration, but that doesn't matter. We didn't eat there, prices and menu were not interesting for us.

Expedia failed to advise the hotel that we had paid for dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel had only been told bed and breakfast. This caused unecessary hassle and persisted throughout our stay. This is something Expedia caused and wasn't the hotels fault.

The trainee on reception was great, very professional, polite and knew the answers to our questions. A pleasant check in.
