To start with, the staff were absolutely lovely. In particular the receptionist (I think her name was Ellie) was so so welcoming, friendly and helpful!
The hotel was clean, facilities were great.
The room its self was very large and spacious with loads of natural light. Plug sockets, a fridge, safe, iron with board and some really nice quality products in the bathroom for you to use.
I can’t fault anything besides the bed itself.
I honestly had a really poor nights sleep due to how firm and uncomfortable the bed was to the point I woke up early and debated leaving sooner. I ended up folding the duvet in half and trying to go back to sleep on top of this to add more cushioning underneath.
I would stay again but would maybe book a different kind of room to see if this was the same issue throughout. Overall the hotel and staff were fantastic but the bed was not suitable at all and very uncomfortable.
I would recommend the children’s play area and games corner me moved somehow as it looks a little crowded when arriving

My son and his partner stayed here for her birthday on the 13th of February, had a beautiful time, creating some really special memories. The staff were apparently amazing — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout their stay. They especially appreciated the lovely play area for the baby, which made the visit even more enjoyable and relaxed.
My son said he would highly recommend this hotel, even above some of the more expensive options in the area. Definitely give this one a go.

The restaurant looked pretty nice but the food for a 4 star hotel was a bit disappointing, I expected a bit more .The swimming pool water seemed overly chlorinated which made our experience less enjoyable as this was one of our main reason why we chosed this hotel for our kids to enjoy the pool as had a shallow entrance and jacuzzi there but unfortunately we could not stay to long there as was slightly irritating the smell. They should test regularly the PH and Chlorine level in the water.

My friend didnt have any bed sheets on his bed. We had planned to watch Netflix and use the Chromecast which wasnt working. Apparently the chromecast hadnt been working all day which we werent told when we checked in, until I went to the front desk to inform them to which the woman at the front said \"oh I was hoping no one would notice.\" And suggested I go swimming instead. I checked in after a long day at work, fine no issue, went to my room having not been told that the hotel was running some sort of halloween offer as there were kids EVERYWHERE! so I came down stairs at approx 5.50pm to use the pool and steam room only for one of the receptionists run like mad to stop me from entering the pool telling me \"its full when arent letting anyone else into the pool\" ok fine i'll just use the steam room instead, \"no were nit letting anyone in full stop\" EXCUSE ME having paid a substantial sum for a one night stay I dont expect to be told I cant use facilities I'VE PAID FOR because you choose to turn the pool into Butlins. I am down in the area for work again in a couple of weeks and guess what... I wont be spending another penny in that hotel. Outrageous, extremly unhappy, nobody checked on leaving if everything was ok etc etc. Just took my money and basically gave me the impression I just have to suck it up.....

The swimming pool is quite small and with all the kids there, it was impossible to properly swim. It would also be good if the rooms could be cleaned earlier: On the second day, when I arrived back around 4pm, the room hadn't yet been cleaned.

Hotel was very nice and located very close to castle and city centre. Room was big enough. The area around the hotel wasn't very nice and I didn’t felt 100% safe when walking around. Parking is also very expensive, we decided to leave the car somewhere else. Parking should be cheaper for guests.

Generally a good stay. BUT - BE WARNED!! the hotel car park is quoted as having \"Parking Available\". What is NOT mentioned is the fact that on checking out and leaving the car park, a fee of £24.00 is charged just for an overnight stay in THEIR car park. Daylight robbery!!!

We were put in an accessible room which wasnt great (and didnt seem that accessible if you really needed it). But all the staff at reception and in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful. Sadly didnt get the chance to use the spa etc.

The condition of the changing rooms and bathrooms near the swimming pool and gym was unacceptable. Towels were left all over the floor, there was no shampoo or soap in the shower area, and empty water bottles were scattered around. The space looked completely neglected. Pool water was flowing around the edges, making the area slippery and unsafe. Additionally, the toilet flush in the my room was not working properly. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance in this part of the facility were very poor.

Personally the hotel was ok but justifying paying over £500 for a standard room that was not great? I don’t think so, understand rugby is on. But don’t rip people off to that level. Also then paying £24 for parking with no discount, understand again that it’s a different company but no discount for residents and paying that price to stay??

My wife and myself stayed here for two nights. Easy check-in. The swimming pool was clean and nice to have . The bar and restaurant was clean and the staff were very helpful. The located is good. We have stayed in the hotel before but this time the rooms were clean on the surface but old, tired and grubby in the corners. The bathroom smelt damp and there were silverfish. There was old black gum on the carpets. Not great.

Entrance barrier to car park was broken. Bug found in bath. Heating wasn't working - replacement one offered would have done well to heat the inside of my car, let alone a hotel room. Booked an Executive Room for our Anniversary in which was no different to a normal room, maybe more floor space? No towels or robes for use of Spa. Faulty key to room. The staff however were extremely helpful but felt bad for them as we had so many issues!

Quite a basic option for accommodation. Unfortunately the sofa bed our daughter was sleeping in was stained and when we complained we were offered towels to cover it with which personally I didn’t feel was a satisfactory solution.
The towels also had a really odd smell, as did the shower gel / hand wash provided so it was hard to feel ‘clean’ whilst there.

Was very disappointed in this hotel. We arrived at 2:45 to be told check-in wasn’t until three which I thought okay that’s fine then the room was not ready until 345 so we had 45 minutes of sitting doing nothing. There was no apology for the room, not being ready or anything That was a bit of a funky smell in the restaurant when we first walked in smell a bit like damn when we got to the room the room was nice. We spent the first night there when we run the bath. The water was green and had bits of sand or something in there was also bugs in the bedroom. They moved us to a different room which when we tried running hot water it was just warm overall, the day wasn’t the best sadly for the price that we paid I was disappointed. We did try and use the spa as much as we could and I noticed there was a nappy on the floor from the Monday until the Tuesday evening so I’m a little bit concerned about the hygiene and cleanliness of this hotel
