Was told breakfast served on 1st floor but when we went there it was closed. Told room service only but even reception staff were not aware and no information in rooms. Asked to see Manager who served us with food but obviously did not have full choice so not a good experience. Apparently all due to a change of management so hardly any guests but we were not informed by Expedia or offered an alternative hotel so not a good ending to our stay.

We stayed one night. Would have stayed for two but for firstly when checking in the receptionist Alex or Alexandra just upped and left half way through booking us in as her shift ended with out a buy or leave. The other staff we had interaction with were very god. The Room was ok but not great for the price.breakfast was devastated by a team of professional rugby team,not much left although they did rally a bit. The hotel in general is a little tired and showing signs of neglect. We decided that one night was enough and moved on.

I booked for 2 twin beds when we arrived we had a double bed only. When we checked at reception it said we were not down for 2 singles. They managed to change our room but it didn’t seem to be as nice which was a huge shame. We asked about it in our original room, they said that the beds just pull apart, we were then told they couldn’t pull the beds apart as it was a double mattress.

However it was all very clean and staff were friendly

check in was a night mare took over 2 hours for us to be checked in the rooms that were allocated to us had other people staying in them when we went up to the rooms. They didn't seem to know what rooms where available, Id booked in for 2 night they only had me down for one night. Over all it was a terrible experience not too sure if i want to stay there again.

Parking when booking the hotel it don,t say anything about extra charge for the parking check in was a unbelievable the staff did not seem to know what was going on. I got sent to 3 rooms which already had people in before i got a room. It took over 2 hours to get checked in . I don,t think i will be staying there again.

Awful experience, the check in queue extended out the door. It took 45 minutes to check in.
Several people in the queue were checking in again as they walked into other peoples rooms.

The room was large, very clean, however it was freezing, no heating in the bathroom either. Check in was a nightmare, issues with the IT system, caused double bookings, staff were floundering about didnt have a clue how to deal with the ever growing guests arriving to check in. They didnt tell us what the issue was, we only found out due to a frustrated guest. It was on par with a delayed flight with no information. I ended up packing up and going home after spending 2 hours freezing in the room. Driving around Cardiff, the hotel was hard tonfind the parking is tucked in off the main road you wouldnt know it was there unless you had been before, not well sign posted at all. I ended up parking in St Mary's car park, which was a good 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all it was a very stressful day/evening and I wouldnt put myself through it again.

For the price we paid for the room we were disappointed. Looks old and not cosy. The bed is terrible, didn’t sleep well. The bathroom sink had a drainage issue. Premier Inn down the road is so much better so we won’t be using Radisson again

Maintenance issues in the room - the Aircon, though turned off, was making loud noises throughout the night... resulting in a very poor night's sleep.
The standard of the fittings in the room wasn't good, the table was so stained and marked - it looked like it had been stood outside and used as a garden table.

Two little complaints: automatic door closer mechanism stopped wardrobe door opening fully and therefore access to drawers in our room.
And the lead on the hair dryer was too short to allow us to look in a mirror during its use. But those are just little moans.
We had a lovely time, all told. Staff were great and very helpful, breakfast was ample, bed was very comfortable, and the view from the 15th floor was great.
Also excellent location for the railway station and for the town centre.

We had a terrible experience at Radisson Blu Cardiff.
It was a total disaster from start to finish. Every other guest we spoke to this weekend agreed that it was like a faulty towers experience.
When we arrived there was a man complaining that he had moved rooms 3 times and they were all filthy, his wife was crying. The lady who dealt with it was unbelievably rude to him, I later found out her name is Sultana.
We checked in, to be fair the room is tired but it was clean enough for us and we had to rush out.
The next morning we went for breakfast and there was no food available and loads of disgruntled guests, we actually all ended up laughing at how completely awful it was.
We went to reception to get a refund for our breakfast and unfortunately we had to deal with Sultana ourselves. She and her colleague on the front desk were just vile. They made the whole experience needlessly difficult.

I booked a king bed, but I got two singles pushed together with a sheet over the top, so that was not comfortable to sleep on. The city view room, faced internally to other parts of the building (although not a deal breaker to be fair), the shower leaked, so I got out of the bath and the floor had water all over it. The room was clean the breakfast was a normal self service English breakfast buffet (food was nice) just the leaking shower and the bed that was a pain for me.

Radisson Blu is my go to for work trips to Cardiff however on this occasion the stay was below standards. The room was without an iron board, iron and hairdryer. However the toilet was un flushed I assume from the previous room occupants which should have be addressed by house keeping prior to check in.

the room had a giant stain on the carpet in the middle of the floor that was crusty. there was no plug for the bath. the kettle didn’t work. the bed was extremely uncomfortable and it was clear it was two singles pushed together which made it worse. i was really disappointed at breakfast, the vegan options were really sparse, hardly anything i could eat that wasn’t bread and beans. just expected so much more from somewhere i paid £130 to stay in for one night. really no better than a budget hotel.

We only had one curtain so could only shut out the light from half the window, there was no seal on the bath screen so flooded the bathroom which was fixed quickly, on the second morning the cold water pressure was rubbish so had a really hot shower no hair drier or coat hooks

This is priced as a premium hotel, the experience was not! Room was ok, no hairdryer!
Had to ask for ice and lime in GnT. Bar staff didn’t really understand concept of a well served drink.
Breakfast was awful! We came down 1.5 hours into a 3 hour service. There were no pastries, no bread, no butter, a few stale bits of a fryup. Cheap products used, the only juice left was watered down. It appears they did add some additional fried breakfast items, but people left queuing and getting nothing. Nothing to lose was replenished in the 30 mins we were at breakfast. People were in disbelief, staff didn’t seem to care. Was going to leave feedback on leaving but the staff who were chatting to each other were not interested and didn’t ask how our stay was or even say goodbye as we checked out. A very expensive let down. Will never go back!
Premier inn zip at £25 a night supreme to this place!

We ordered sweet potato fries as a side with our meal, when they didn't arrive with the rest of the food we asked and were told they didn't have any and 'would normal fries be okay?'

We waited 30 mins to get it sorted during which I had to argue that I had pre booked breakfast. The queue to check in behind us was out the door onto the street. Absolute shambles this place has gone downhill massively

I was delighted to be recognised as a VIP member and was upgraded – thank you very much.
Unfortunately, the room to which I was upgraded had not been cleaned properly – the bin was still full – there was no coffee – two of the lightbulbs didn’t work, so I asked to be relocated and was relocated to 1905.
My new room was lovely – usual faultless service from Radisson.
I noticed it took housekeeping over 36 hours to go and empty the bin. I left outside 1907.

Was told that it’s centrally controlled … really , who is deciding how warm my room will be. Reception staff were a delight. Room was warm and commfortable, as always.

We ate in the restaurant on the first evening, that wasnt as we had hoped.

We ordered a starter and a light bite. The starter came after the main course, in fits and starts !!.. One of teh starters was cold, one was overcooked and dry and one arrived 15 minutes after we had finished everything else.

In addition, one of the waiting on staff had some personal hygiene issues which were quite off putting, when serving food at the table.

Probably not the best experience in all honesty. Will stay there again though.

No hairdryer, iron, ironing board or luggage rack in room. Filthy stained carpet. Dust everywhere. “Leather” coated bedroom furniture scratched and dirty. Brown stain in one coffee cup that came off when washed. Room and corridor on 7th floor stank. Soundproofing nonexistent. At check out nobody asked how our stay was, probably because they knew they put us in a horrible room. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Only good thing - the lift is fast.
