We got into Santiago hours before we could check in but the hotel was nice enough to secure our luggage for us while we did some sight-seeing. The area is typical for a downtown area in a large city. The room was small but clean. The bathroom had a window weirdly place in the shower but opening afterwards did keep the room from becoming musty-smelling. I probably wouldn't stay here again but that's because Santiago didn't really capture my heart the way other cities in Chile did. The staff was very nice though.

The hotel room with its convenient bar fridge and microwave and kitchen, the decor of the room and the hotel in general, the hotel’s location, the service, and the amazing buffet on a rooftop terrace were excellent for the price. We were very pleasantly surprised! We were within a few block walk of the Plaza des Armas and the park at Cerrado Santa Lucia. I also want to give a shout-out to Miguel at the front desk who was very helpful and booked us a taxi to the airport.

So relaxing in a large clean well stocked space

Large space! Minifridge, microwave, a set of dishes and wine glasses, etc. Everything very clean. Had a toothbrush, shave, and comb kit and modern new shower. The room was so relaxing to come back to after a long day out walking. The rooftop breakfast area also such a relaxed treat and felt good to have a bit of fruit along with the eggs and breads. Such a good value while traveling.

The main reason for booking in this hotel was the offer of a room with twin beds. However, it was really disappointing to arrive in a room where one of the beds was a folding bed. Upon complaining, the reception staff changed us to a room with a single bed and a double bed, which is not yet what they offered in their web site. Apparently, they didn't have any room with twin beds and therefore their offer was misleading.

Honestly, I am very happy to share that our staying at the Somalier Hotel in Santiago de Chile at Agustinas exceeded our expectations!
We had a very nice room! Bed was comfortable which was amazing.
The best part of our staying was the hotel’s amazing location!!! Happened, that we were a block away from an Opera House, literally a 5 min walk to our show! No taxi need it haha

I will recommend this hotel with no hesitation 😄

Coming from the United States to Chile for the first time, I would have to say the staff treated me great! I am not great at Spanish, and they had patience with me. They also had English speakers there, but I wanted to speak as much Spanish as I could. Miguel and Dulce were two faces I could count on with any question I had about the area or service pertaining to the hotel.

Perfect location for a quick trip to Santiago

We loved our stay here. The price was great, location was great, and it has a nice little breakfast (basic, but nice) Staff is friendly (some basic Spanish will help you if you). It IS noisy (bar on rooftop stays open quite late), so if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs and you will be fine!

There is a lot to like about the place and a few things not to like; the room was excellent and the staff friendly but English was not spoken. We were on the 6th floor and the night we stayed they had a special event on the rooftop terrace above our room so the DJ's music boom boomed until 1:00AM. There are several sex shops and strip clubs in the area but we felt safe and there were no incidents. The strip club next door was still going strong at 3:00AM when we our taxi picked us up to take us to the airport. If I were to stay here again I would request a room on a lower floor.

Hotel is next to a sex shop/stripper joint. Area looked unsafe at night, but maybe not. Desk clerk was very nice but could not speak English--listing said English was spoken. Room was spacious with a kitchenette and a small dining area. Bed was comfortable and sheets and towels were clean. On the negative: the ceilings were quite low and the room seemed dark and oppressive. After plugging our computer in (we used a proper adapter) something blew and a light bulb began blinking like a strobe light. The curtain fell off the track when opening it. But the main thing we could not accept was that the wifi went in and out-- it was very poor. We needed wifi for our work. We had booked for 4 nights but we left after one.

The hotel is very well placed and although the staff didn't speak English really they were very helpful. My only complaint really is that the housekeeping leaves a bit to be desired. There were some days where I left to do not disturb and my room wasn't cleaned that day which is fine. The days that it should have been cleaned I noticed that the floors were not vacuumed. The hotel was fine and clean. Nothing bad but nothing great. My real problem was when I went to check out and they check my room. I used a small hand towel to wipe off some suave from a burger I got upstairs. They where upset and said they couldn’t clean it. They wanted to charge me. Big picture… how do they wash their towels and sheets then?!!! If sauce is a problem. Disgusting

A small boutique hotel right in the melting pot of tourists and locals, sandwiched on a street between the Starbucks, eye doctors buildings and night clubs with sex club signs in windows. as a single person I had no problems and streets easy to navigate. It is nice to have a kitchenette, but note it is not a furnished kitchen to cook in only to reheat your takeout meals.

The hotel was located centrally, clean, and well kept. I would recommend the hotel and stay there again! However, I arranged for transportation from the airport to the hotel (through the hotel) but when I exited customs, the driver wasn’t where I was to meet him. Long story short, do not accept “help” from anyone who approaches you while you are waiting for an arranged transfer. Have the hotel number as a contact in your phone before you go, and call the hotel directly to find out if there is a problem with your ride. I accepted “help” from someone who flashed a badge and said he was from airport information services. Basically, I paid over $450 to get to the hotel because I fell for his scam. Thankfully that is all that was lost and I made it to the hotel safely and with all of my belongings. Not blaming the hotel at all...just a warning to not speak to anyone at the airport if you are not familiar with the context in Chile/Latin America.

A great hotel in the heart of it all

I really enjoyed the spaciousness of the room. Not only was there a kitchenette and an eating area, there was ample closet and storage space. Everything was laid out so well so that the room was not cramped. The sleeping area was set apart so it was very comfortable and one never felt overcrowded. There was even shelves for books and such.

The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast hours were convenient and provided enough to eat.

The hotel was located in the Centro. My room was a corner room with windows that overlooked two main streets; however, the room was very quiet. Best of all, the hotel is located close to transportation and within walking distance of most sites.

When I first arrived in Santiago, I stayed at this hotel and really liked it. I came back to it after travelling elsewhere in Chile.

The rooms are great! There is a lot of storage space and they are laid out so conveniently with a kitchenette as well! It’s a perfect place for a traveller.

It is in easy walking distance of major sites, shops and restaurants. The metro is not far off either. It’s also easy to get to from the airport.

The staff are very kind and always helpful. You feel safe and secure here.

Check-in is super quick. Our apartment was cosy. Location was right in Santiago centre so everything was in walking distance. You can use reliable Uber’s for other areas or the Metros.
The only thing you need to bring with you (or buy) is your coffee!
Great place, it is above a gentlemen’s club, but honestly you wouldn’t notice.
I’d return anytime!

We had spent 5 nights in the Hotel Sommelier BOUTIQUE on Merced in Santiago and then traveled to the lakes region for a few days .
I inadvertently reserved a room for one last night in Santiago at its sister hotel the Hotel Sommelier on Agustinas, but decided to keep it since it was only for one night. Definitely preferred the Boutique hotel over this one.
The room itself was nicely updated & clean, however we heard a lot of street/bus noise.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing, with next to no food left, despite another 90 minutes until it was to end. Further, directly below/adjacent is a strip club, that fortunately for us, was closed on Sundays. Though a decent hotel, we greatly preferred our experience & the location of the Hotel Sommelier Boutique.

Best place to stay in Santiago

We stayed in Hotel Sommelier three times during our trip. It is the best place to stay in Santiago. It is within walking distance to most of what you want to see. If you need to go farther, the Metro is two blocks away. The staff was amazing. The were extremely helpful. I broke a tooth while in Santiago. They helped me to find a dentist that was open on a Saturday to fix my tooth. The rooms are large with a small kitchen. I really don't know any reason to stay anyplace else. There is a strip club on the corner, but it is well managed to keep the street and sidewalks free of distraction. Neither I nor my wife were bothered in any way. I cannot praise them highly enough.

It all about the location!

Great location and very helpful front desk staff. Breakfast basic but fine. Hot eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, meat, cheese coffee ànd tea.
The room was quiet and had good air conditioning and good wifi. There were only two hard metal chairs in the room to sit on, tv had zero channels in english. There was a small kitchen but it wasn't use able because the refrigerator was filled with the mini bar, no soap , kitchen towels or pots and pans. The table was set with the dishes and we had to remove them to be able to use the kitchen table and the two metal chairs to use our computers. No desk, no horizontal space to sit and work. TV poorly located in walkway. Hit my head on it twice. Shower door allows water to escape shower enclosure flooding bathroom floor.
But.... the excellent location makes up for some of the negatives.

This hotel is in the centre of town near the Cerro Lucia. It is within walking distance to most (all if you like walking) places in Santiago. Yes it is adjacent to a girlie bar, but we didn't hear anything or were bothered by anyone. You are near the starting point for the \"tours for tips\", near restaurants and supermarkets. We walked everywhere and took no cabs (and I was not travelling with keen walkers). I would stay there again and would recommend to others. The breakfast is the same each morning - a buffet of omelette, toast, cereal, milk, yogurt, juices, and fruit. Tea and coffee. It's perfectly OK. If you want better than this on any measure - stay somewhere else and pay more.

Santiago is unusual and difficult to rate as benchmarks in South American not the norm. The room is spacious and a lot of time has been taken with interior design of the whole hotel but perhaps not looked after as well as it could have been. Was a bit surprised it was in the same building as a club but it didn't affect our stay. The city is very dry and dusty and edgy.

el hotel está en una buenza zona. La terraza donde se sirve el desayuno esta genial. pero la mampara de la ducha no sellaba correctamente y el suelo del bano parecía una piscina. Además, al hacer el check out me cobraron por las dos capsulas de café (jamás me cobraron por eso antes...) Ni siquiera lo especificaron al hacer la entrada.

Ao entrar no quarto a cama era matrimonial ( pequena ) e a reserva foi contratado uma cama KING SIZE, voltei na recepção e mostrei a reserva feita com as informações.

O hotel disse que não foi informado e que nao tinha nenhuma responsabilidade o problema era meu com o Hotel.com.

Quanto o local do cafe da manhã e extremamente pequeno que obrigado estipular o horário para tomar cafe e o que e oferecido e muito fraco
