The apartment was a loft with the bedroom being upstairs. The stairs do not have a handrail. There is a fan above the bed which helped circulate the cool air. For two nights this was a comfortable place. The kitchen did not have many utensils if wanting to do a lot of cooking. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too thick for me. Even being on the 8th floor there are was a lot of street noise in the night. This felt like a safe place with 24 hour desk staffing. It's close to a mercado and attractions.

The location and the staff were good, easy for exploring the old town and willing staff to assist when needed.

We chose the Loft apartment, sold on the marketing images of views to the Andes and ideas of sipping Pisco Sours on the balcony after a day of blissful exploration of the city. Sadly the experience was quite the opposite with perhaps a glimpse of a mountain - whether that was the Andes or not was difficult to tell between the large office and apartment blocks and the smog of Santiago. The balcony was, well, not a balcony - instead a suggestion of what a balcony could be if it was an actual balcony, definitely too small to swing a cat and thus no cats were harmed! Perhaps our own fault for believing too much into the marketing images, but fellow travellers be aware.

If you are looking for a centrally located, clean and secure place to stay on your visit Santiago, this is your choice. Just don't expect the views or the Pisco sours on the balcony.

We stayed in a loft apartment and had a wonderful time. The loft was spacious and clean and included a full kitchen with two balconies, one mini (maybe 1m²) and one full. It did not include cleaning during the stay, but you can restock toiletries and towels at the front desk. If you have trouble with stairs, the loft isn't a good choice because the sleeping space and bathroom are upstairs.

The location is within walking distance to several metro and bus stops, Plaza de Armas, Catedral de Santiago, La Moneda, and more. We had no concerns about safety other than the usual issues that any major city has.

Near subway. Comfy bed. Lots of dinning options close by. Decent kitchen but there were no forks and knives, though there was a kitchen knife.
The veranda door didn’t close properly and there was a large gap, letting in cold air. It got into the low 30s at night. Maintanance fixed it up but I wish I didn’t have to ask them to fix it.
The room was quiet enough for me even though it was facing the street.

I had booked a loft room for 3 through Expedia. When I arrived I was told only 2 persons for the room. They were kind enough to put us in a rental apt. with 2 bedrooms and kitchenette for the same price. This is an inexpensive option to be downtown.

Great place in great location. Walkable to restaurants, grocery, pharmacies, and shopping. Room was very clean and provided shampoo, hair dryer, etc. Stayed in a loft with full kitchen and a balcony on 16th floor providing great city view. Another smaller balcony off the bedroom. Bed was comfy. A/C was great on main level but the upstairs stayed quite warm. A ceiling fan over the bed made it cooler.

Great apartment let down by badly placed AC unit

The air conditioning unit is on the ground floor, so it does absolutely nothing to cool the bedroom on the mezzanine floor. The only way we could manage to keep the room cool enough to sleep was to always keep the blackout curtains closed during our stay. Other than that, the apartment is very clean and has basic kitchen equipment. It is in a large residential complex with a laundry, gym and pool. It has a good location for central Santiago shops and museums.

This review is for a loft. Lofts are very spacious, with comfortable beds, full kitchens and clean, functional bathrooms. Mine was on the 12th floor of a highrise building with very nice view. An A/C unit, located at the bottom level was used to heat the unit (I was there during winter). It was adequate for a comfortable sleep. The building has key entry and a doorman, so safety was good. The location is very central, right next to Santa Clara hill. The immediate surroundings felt a bit seedy but Lastarria at was less than 5 minutes walk away. The property is a bit dated and somewhat worn but, for the price, I think it represents excellent value.

TL:DR Excellent location, safe lodging, walking distance to lots of sights and restaurants, excellent receptionists.

But the devil is in the details.
The bathroom: excellent water pressure in the evening, pretty bad in the morning. The bathroom needs hooks for clothes, a toilet brush, a bath tub stopper for baths, and better and more plentiful toilet paper. The toilet paper you get melts down to nothing unless layered multiple times. Also, the light fixture is awful, you can't get light on your face in the mirror. Do with that what you will. Ah, and the kicker: the fixture hangs off the ceiling and is held tight by a wad of folded toilet paper. Classy.

Half of the light switches lead nowhere and light nothing.

The kitchen has the barest minimum of dishes, cutlery, and paper towels (those are also very thin and turn to nothing when wet). If you want to cook, you won't have anything to do it with - no cutting boards, no spatulas, no colanders, you get my drift. And washing dishes is also a problem as there is nothing provided. I suppose the hotel expects us to wash the dishes with our bare hands.

The living room is nice, it leads to a full-size balcony. But the lower level is noticeably colder than the upper level, and in winter that means you would have to wear your outside clothes indoors.

The bedroom is warmer, but the bed is kind of problematic. The sheets are too short, and the blankets haven't been washed in ages.

The room was located in the building next to the front desk. The laundry and gym were difficult to locate. Laundry only took coins and did not have a change dispenser. Only 2 of each items like spoons, cups, pots, towels, soap were provided. Had to ask for extra soap. Staff at desk were friendly.
There were 2 balconies and a heater that worked well.

Rip off!

Had two wonderful stays here but were very upset and frustrated to be - we felt- ripped off by checking in early 😢
We messaged the hotel a few days before arrival to ask about the arrangements for arriving in the morning- no response. When we arrived the hotel staff had no idea what if any a charge would be to check in early (it was 6am). The room was ready so we took it. Most reputable hotels would either allow an early check in if the room was available, or would be clear on any charge.
We were so annoyed when we checked out to be charged nearly double the nightly rate we had paid, for checking in a few hours early.
Not happy at all, do not recommend, which is a shame as otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
Be clear on your charges and ensure people on reception know what charges are! 😡☹️

The only issue I had was with the gym, which is very limited. There are few machines and not in very good shape. It’s a hassle to get in. The laundry can also be a hassle. The ParkPlaza Apart Hotel, Santiago is one of the friendliest hotels we have stayed in on our travels around the world! Location is right in the city, within walking distance to many site’s, restaurants and the metro. The accommodation is exactly as stated in the information. Our room was large, and well maintained with enough cooking facilities and equipment to make meals if required. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. The best thing about this hotel was the staff. All were very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. They helped arrange local tours, gave information about city sites and booked taxis for us when required. They could not have been more helpful.

O hotel não dispõe de area de lazer, porém, com a rotina de passeio que tínhamos, isso não nos fez falta. Apartamento completo com mini cozinha. Possui geladeira no apartamento, porem não é abastecida (não existe aqueles minibars no quarto).
O hotel está localizado no centro de Santiago, ao lado do Cerro Santa Lucia, é perfeito para quem quer conhecer a cidade e precisa ir pra várias direções.

The air conditioner was located on the first level and there was nothing, not even a fan for cooling the loft where the bedroom was located.

Reception staff were very friendly and spoke English. Our room was large with a kitchenette including 2 hot plate stove, microwave, refrigerator and just enough crockery and utensils for two. There were no easy chairs to sit on although there was plenty of space to accommodate 2 chairs. There were on 2 small stools to sit at the half table attached to the wall and 1 straightbacked chair. Breakfast was delivered each afternoon on a tray but it is the same thing each day juice, yoghurt/muesli, ham & cheese sandwich, milk, tea & coffee. The sandwiches were dry and only improved slightly if you microwaved them for a few seconds. We would have preferred bread to toast (there was a toaster in room) with condiments.
Location was very good....near subway station and within walking distance to many sites. Self-service laundry is in another building where you have need two keycard access. Outside building “B” is a dispensing machine where you buy tokens for wash cycle and detergent. Tokens are sold in 2, 3 or 4’s but as washing machine instructions are in Spanish I guess 2 tokens would be a light load. The laundry is part of a residential block of 21 floors and the process of using the facility is difficult. We decided to wash our clothes in the bathtub and hang on balcony.
We did experience petty theft by cleaning staff....snack items would disappear each day and it was evident that our belongings were tampered with on a daily basis. Fortunately there is a room safe.

I like the location. I can walk to the main attractions like. Plaza de Amas, mecardo central, Plaza de Cóntitution, vega market. Also to Santa Lucia Hill and metro .
What I think That need to improve is install more lights since the unit is dark. Having one fan on upstairs bedroom. The air conditioning only works for down level living room. And one more thing that the recieption area should provide drinking water for guests at check in time( lots of hotels have this.

I spend 2 weeks for business trip. My room was on the 16th flowers and very noisy from outside such as running track car, police car, ambulance and stray dog howling during night time. I used ear plugs for sleep seriously. Location is good for everything. It is the apartment hotel, so I can cook my self, but very limited cooking hard wares.

I was only here for 1 night, but I really liked this hotel! Raul greeted me upon my arrival and was very nice and helpful. I did a last minute booking so my arrival was unexpected and their system was down so he couldn't look me up on the computer, but I was still able to get my room in a timely manner. The room was a loft and was nice. I wish I stayed for more than one night! Clean and comfortable. You could hear some street noise, but nothing too crazy. The area is convenient as well. There are many restaurants and cafes o the same street and down the same street is a mall. Plaza de Armas is a quick 10 minute walk away. The front desk was also very nice about storing my bag after check-out while I walked around before leaving for the airport. I would definitely stay here again!

Good location, nothing really wrong with it.

Great location, easy check in, large room. However, do not expect to get the two story room shown in the image. We ended up with a much more run down room than we were expecting that looked nothing like the pictures. Each apartment, I am guessing, is different, which is not stated anywhere. We were not in what we would ever call a loft. It would be nice if they used more realistic images of what you are getting.

With that said, the room was clean. It was quiet. We had a great view from our window (on 16th floor I believe?). Shower was hot and had good pressure.

The wifi code they provided us did not work either. There were not enough digits in the code to even get it to remotely work. With that said, the router was in the room and you can just get the code off the back of it (it is named a different network, but works easier than going back to the reception).

Check in was in a different building than the apartment, but you are basically in a building with people who live there and they just rent out random apartments that I am guessing they own.

I had no real issues with the place, just expectations were higher. There was nothing really wrong with the place, just didn't leave me impressed. When they build expectations with specific pictures to try to get you to stay there, then you don't get that, you end up slightly disappointed.

But, my main things were it was clean and a good location for a reasonable price.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel while visiting a family member in Santiago. Small clean hotel very conveniently located to historic sites, markets, neighbourhoods with shopping and great restaurants. Although it was convenient to have breakfast delivered to the room the previous evening, it was the same each day and we really only had the fruit, fruit juice and coffee and we supplemented with our own yogurt, an egg or some cheese.Small galley kitchen was nice to have.

The apartments were well designed and easy to live in.The kitchen was functional, the location was very close to everything n the heart of the city. If you get an apartment facing Huefanos st, it will be noisy until midnight and the random noises in the night will continue randomly throughout the night. This would make it would be hard for light sleepers. There are three towers and only tower D has these issues.
I believe that the location is the great draw card for this hotel, you can walk to Alm Mata and at least half of the attractions the city has to offer. 7 of the 13 stops on the Santiago hop on hop off bus are within walking distance. The only issue with being in this part of town is the purse snatchers. I do not believe that there is any risk to personal safety, but if you leave a bag on the table or chair next to you while you eat, it is likely that someone will run off with it. This is true of the entire city, however it is more prevalent in this area.
The hotel has a supermarket next door, a chemist nearby and good laundry facilities on lvl 22 in tower B.
I would stay here again if I visited Santiago for more than a few days.

NO Choice non-health-minded breakfast .

The breakfast leaves no choice of food- we do not eat their choices of food (for instance sugar-addded juices and yogurt that contains FAT. Also ham, so we had to eat elsewhere & money and food was wasted.

Close to all the major tourist spots!

Great for a short stay! The receptionists could be more helpful, especially the one in the afternoon. He just did not make an effort to help!

Great location. Loft room, with small kitchen and lounge room downstairs and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. We were on 8-th floor so great view from both floors. Good restaurants all around. We really liked that there was no daily maid service. YMMV

No breakfast buffet/no input from us so we ate none and they left us food wasted. Give us choice!
