The room was spotless , the staff were helpful in finding activities in the area, they helped us with bus connections and subways. We needed to apply for our E-Visa for Brazil and were able to help us with the application. The swimming pool was a nice relax after a busy day.
Breakfast in the morning was great, with alot of variety.
The location is in the middle of downtown where most tourist attractions are, yet close to the subways and buses to explore further out.

This property was great! I was allowed to check -in early which gave me time to explore Santiago. The hotel is located right along the main drag so is very convenient. The breakfasts are great and the views are amazing . Highly recommend this hotel !

The check in is very easy. The staff are courteous and helpful. It has a lot of great facilities like a gym, hot tub, and pool, but we didn't use them because we were too busy exploring Santiago. This visit the room wasn't as big as on our first stay, but still it was very comfortable. There is also a very good breakfast.

The hotel is in the heart of the city and great for walking to different things in the neighborhood. The staff are great and so are the room service. The short fall is the room had twin beds and not joined to the head board. The room next to me was very noisy due to that. The restaurant being on the roof top is great has well. I would recommend this hotel, but get a room with bigger beds.

Be warned, this is a weird hotel. The main benefit of this hotel is the reasonably central location.

Two important things you should know before booking are:
1) [most important] this is a weird hotel. This is an apartment block with some apartments turned into \"hotel rooms.\" This means as you walk to your room, there's no carpet or any \"inside\" furnishing but you are essentially walking along a public corridor past dentists and lawyers offices etc. The reception is high up rather than on the ground floor (on 10 I think) and there's a real feeling of isolation in your room on the weekends when the businesses are closed. I travel a lot and did not feel safe in my room (there was a light, ply wood door and should really have been a sturdy solid door).

2) The pool operates limited opening hours and it is unlikely you will be able to avail of it if you are not intending to use it between 9-5!!

I will never stay here again.

Very conveniently located to city center.

Conveniently located on a pedestrian street (directions to taxis which must park around the corner would help!). Attractions like La Moneda, the Columbian history museum, cathedral, central market and others are within a few minutes walk. Many eateries and stores nearby. The Gran Palace is an old hotel with street access not plainly visible. The oddly located 10th floor reception desk is via elevator from an off-street vestibule. Our room was comfortable although a bit small for what we paid. The bathroom was mediocre with a broken shower head (replaced promptly at our request), loose toilet seat and rather grubby bath edges. The bath needs a secure grab bar where the bather gets in, not forward of the glass splash panel. The breakfast which came with our room charge was first class with plenty of variety, altho' the coffee on both mornings was awful - sour and burned!! We found the staff at the front desk, breakfast room and entrance lobby all very cheerful and helpful. We'd definitely recommend the Gran Palace to family, friends and business travelers needing good city access.

Definitely not what the hotel name suggests.

Most of the reception staff were condescending to any requests and bordering on rude. Cleaning was good, however not all used bathroom items were replaced daily. The room received sun most of the day so the aircon needed to be on most of the time. It was vry antiquated and one had to open the blinds for it to be effective in any way. The room had a rumbling noise which i can only attribute to the bathroom ventilation. I was reduced to wearing ear plugs at night.Impossible to charge my phone as it appeared that the powerpoints were faulty. Requested phone to be charged on several occasions but only once was it successful. One beer and one water were used from the room mini fridge which i replaced, however, on checkout i was presented with charges for those items. Reception insisted i had to pay. Wall paper coming off walls, bathroom fittings broken, curtains difficult to open and shut. Breakfast was reasonable but I wasn't allowed to takeaway one small yoghurt tub. How trivial! This was a dated hotel in need of a freshen up of staff and amenities and I could not see any value for the money I spent.

Not a 4-stars Hotel

This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. The rooms clearly need to be renovated. One can see the years of existence on all the walls and the doors as well as the old ceramic of the bathroom that dates from the Seventies. They lock the fridge and at check-out ask the maid to check the room... so what's the point? And as for other many 4-stars hotel they do not provide free bottles of water. I came for business and the desktop in the room is clearly not appropriate to work. First, it is very small and second, it is almost not illuminated. There are no plugs next to the bed so you have to plug your cellphone on the desktop. Depending on who is at the front desk, you can receive a nice service... or not. I also went to the swimming pool to relax... but the water jets are so loud that it wasn't possible. I had an amazing massage however. People at the spa were all really nice. The breakfast was okay... more like a 2 or 3-stars hotel one's. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

Hôtel 4etoiles sans le standing attendu. Petite chambre, pas de bouilloire, pas de verre à dents. Dans ce type d hôtel on trouve en général des chaussons de courtoisie et quand celui ci possède une piscine et encore plus un spa en général on a des peignoirs.
Le spa avec piscine jaccuzi jets est très appréciable par contre le sauna était éteint, les douches côté femmes n avaient pas d eau chaude ni savon. Et les robinets sont oxydes recouverts de calcaire. Manque d hygiène de ce côté là. Une amélioration à apporter : avoir les boutons de commande sur les bords de la piscine. Actuellement il faut ressortir à chaque fois pour remettre en route.
Côté Petit déjeuner. Correct avec des croissants frais et délicieux, fruits frais... Par contre quand on doit partir avant l heure di pdj il nous est fourni un sac avec un sandwich, un fruit et un jus de fruit. Mais pas possible de se faire une boisson chaude. A force d insister on m a demandé d'apporter un récipient afin que l on me donne de l eau chaude. Le matin j'amène une bouteille f eau et découpée pour y mettre cette eau. Mais on me répond que ce plastique est trop fin que l eau durcir le plastique. Heureusement un gentil monsieur est au final aller me chercher une théière avec de la eau chaude. Et la veille j'avais demandé si je ne pouvais pas avoir un bouilloire ce qui aurait plus simple. Refus. Heureusement qu il y a des personnes qui savent prendre des Initiatives !
Voilà les raisons qui expliquent mon mécontentement.

Hotel, con muy buena ubicación para conocer la zona del centro de Santiago de Chile, caminar hasta el cerro Santa Lucía y facil movilidad en Transporte
Pero es importante que los viajeros tengan en cuenta que para recargar la tarjeta BIP deben hacerlo en estaciones modernas de las líneas 3 y 5 donde aceptan pagos con tarjeta de crédito, de lo contrario, deben llevar dinero chileno en efectivo

En general, la experiencia fue bastante negativa. Todo comenzó al informarnos que el estacionamiento del hotel se encuentra a tres cuadras del recinto, lo que resulta poco práctico e incómodo.

El proceso de check-in fue excesivamente lento, ya que todo se realiza de forma manual y escrito a lápiz, sin un sistema digital previo de registro. El método de ingreso es completamente obsoleto y genera demoras innecesarias.

Respecto a las instalaciones, la piscina indica funcionamiento hasta las 21:00 hrs; sin embargo, a las 20:35 hrs ya se presentó la persona encargada del aseo solicitando que abandonáramos el lugar, lo que demuestra una falta de coordinación y afecta directamente la experiencia del huésped.

La habitación es muy anticuada, tanto en mobiliario como en infraestructura. Las camas y colchones requieren un cambio urgente, y los baños también evidencian un evidente desgaste por el paso del tiempo.

El desayuno ofrece muy poca variedad y, además, el personal retira constantemente los platos y alimentos mientras uno aún está consumiendo, lo que impide disfrutarlo con tranquilidad.

Considerando el valor pagado, $100.000 por noche en mi caso, esperaba un estándar muy superior. En definitiva, fue una estadía incómoda y muy por debajo de las expectativas.

El hotel es un hotel viejo, de hecho todo el hotel huele a viejo, las habitaciones están descuidadas aunque limpias. Pedimos el box lunch para llevar a nuestro tour y nos dieron todas las manzanas literal podridas. En general no lo recomiendo para nada.

Entendí mejor con la chica brasileña la verfs el chico evitar atenderse con él o mejor pañal lo coloquen en un lugar donde no attimeda público porque es demasiado despota y ayer sentir mal al huésped

Le parking est à 2 pâtés de maison de l’hotel. Donc, avec des bagages c’est galère, !!
Les chambres ne sont pas insonorisées donc en plein centre ville près d’un feu, même au 8 ème étage, la chambre est très bruyante !

O hotel é um mix de instalações mais antigas e modernas. A área de SPA é muito boa, com sauna, academia e piscina interna, conforme se vê nas fotos. A área dos quartos tem estilo mais clássico, com corredores carpetados, lembrando hotéis da Europa. O quarto que ficamos era muito grande. Estávamos eu, esposa e duas filhas. Ficamos muito bem acomodados. Senti falta, dentro de um quarto tão grande, de uma mesa maior para utilizar um notebook, fazer alguma anotação, etc. A limpeza do hotel foi boa. Igualmente o café da manhã, razoavelmente bem servido, e com a devida reposição. Seria desejável uma repaginada nos banheiros, que possuem um aspecto mais antigo e simplório.
A localização e o serviço foram excepcionais. Funcionários atenciosos e muito competentes. Pedi a eles assistência para um transfer para o aeroporto e foram muito transparentes e eficientes, atendendo a demanda de forma imediata.
Quanto à localização, está perto de vários pontos turísticos, dentre eles a Catedaral Metropolitana, Museus e Palácio de La Moneda.
Voltaria a ficar neste hotel com certeza. Por isto, recomendo muito
