The rooms needed to be deep cleaned- splashed drink or liquid dried on the walls, paint splatters on the floor, walls and mircrowave. Furniture was damaged and dated and peeling. Updates and renovations in the room look like they were completed by someone who has limited maintenance experience. Gap at bottom of the door was at least 2 inches- they taped paper to the bottom to cover the gap. Unable to make room completely dark due to the blinds. Light in my eyes all night. Breakfast was mediocre at best- I went out for breakfast most days. I will say the front desk person Crystal was friendly, helpful and had lots of information. The gentleman behind the desk, I am not sure of the name, was much less so. When I was in my room on day he attempted to enter my room with no explanation. I told him not to enter my room and did not need any service for my stay. The situation felt off and weird.

A lady at the front desk was rude the first day there, she told me it was going to be an hour and a half to be able to check me in and i had reservations. And i had to ask for the broom, toiletries we stayed for 4 days no one came to our room once every time we need towels we had to go get them. Breakfast was excellent everyday, property and room was excellent.

We reserved two rooms. One room had no blinds or towels and someone’s belongings were left. We asked for a different room and they did give us a different room. One room had sand in the bed sheets before we’d even been to the beach.
The outdoor pool was closed.
A whisk broom/pan would be handy to sweep up

sand on the floors in each room.

The outside doors to the building were unlocked at all hours of the night. It did not feel safe.
The breakfast was a positive. The view was pretty but the small beach area needed to be cleaned up. Lots of cigarette butts and trash. We spent 4 nights.

Nice sized room with fridge and microwave, comfy beds BUT not enough linen for a 3 person room for 3 days, no top ring on sink ( made it look dirty), pink mold in the shower, no non slip/textured floor or gran bars in shower. Advertised as a buffet breakfast it was simply a buffet-style continental breakfast. Not a horrible stay for the money.

Outside grounds look good, inside smells horrible of cigarette, and weed smoke. Super hot upstairs, room was hot because the air was off and didnt even cool off through the night. There were also roaches. Yes, the gross kind. Towels, and linens were stained. Bathroom had 2 towels and one wash cloth. Had to hunt down staff to get enough for all of us. We stayed one night and found something else for the next night.

The staff was friendly. And breakfast was ok but the ladies had trouble keeping up with the demand of people. The walk in showers were extremely dangerous due to how slippery it was. We had to use a towel on the shower floor in order not to slip and fall. Also, our room floors were filthy! Right after showering and walking on them my feet would be dirty. Asked them if they would mop it but when we came back they weren’t done. We stayed a week and didn’t think that was too much to ask.

Room had a door tat was peeling and wouldn’t close off the bathroom. AC’s would not cool no matter how low you set them. Front desk lady was less than helpful. We asked to switch rooms and second room was a bit better. Same AC issue, but at least door would shut to the bathroom.

The room was clean and well kept. There was one employee who was extremely friendly and always busy. I'm not sure she has any help. The pool was not in a condition to swim in, very dirty. What I assume we're employees, congregated in the hallway several nights, outside of people's rooms, and talked very loudly. We requested room service 3 nights into our stay because we needed fresh towels, but they never came. Decent for the cost. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

Very surprised with this property, although an old property it has been updated. The amenities such as the private beach and water rentals was a plus. All staff was polite and friendly. One disappointment was not being able to apply my stay for choice awards eventhough it was a choice property. It was booked through this site.

Room was nice but to pay extra for the “bay view” was not worth it because it looks out to a parking lot and everyone can see in when they are parking.

The room had the worst slippery floor I have ever walked on .. I fell over and hurt my ankle due to it. The room was tidy but not clean. The towels were so thin you could see through them. The phone didn’t work, I had to ring the front desk due to the WiFi not working for 2 out of the 3 days I stayed. I went to get breakfast on my last day and there was no one around to ask to refill the eggs! The little beach at the back of the place was the perfect place to have breakfast, that was my only positive!

This definitely could have been a five-star experience if it weren’t for the breakfast. Am I saying this is a five-star hotel? Absolutely not—but I base my rating on my personal experience, not just appearances.

From the start, the staff was incredible. The manager was attentive and professional, and Monique at the front desk was exceptional—definitely a five-star employee! She made check-in smooth and welcoming.

The location is perfect—close to everything you might need. While the property is older, the interior was refreshed, clean, and smelled great. My room was spotless, with a sparkling clean bathroom and no grime in the corners (which I always check!). I also had a room facing the water, which gave it an elegant, peaceful feel.

The pool area had a natural, earthy vibe thanks to the huge, beautiful trees, and you can even rent jet skis and pontoon boats right behind the hotel—huge plus!

Now, where things fell short was breakfast. It’s included, which is appreciated, but the quality was lacking. The waffle mix tasted like cardboard, the eggs didn’t feel real, and there was no protein provided—supposedly due to a delivery issue. And the coffee? Unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark either. They really need to revisit their breakfast offerings if they want to elevate the guest experience.

This was our first time visiting the Fort Walton/Destin area, and we booked our stay through Expedia. Honestly, I don’t understand why this hotel has a low rating—our experience was nothing short of wonderful.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There’s a nice outdoor pool and even a pizza restaurant right next door, which was super convenient. One of our favorite features was the small private beach with a dock, beach chairs, and picnic tables. Every evening, we brought our dinner back to the hotel and had a relaxing picnic on the beach while watching the sunset over the water. Our kids absolutely loved it—they said it was their favorite part of the trip! After dinner, they enjoyed playing in the sand and water while we relaxed.

Breakfast was decent, and I want to give a special shoutout to the tall gentleman with glasses (Boris)—he was always helpful and attentive. Christy at the front desk was phenomenal and went out of her way to help us with our late check-in. The new manager (Handon) was just as great during our checkout. Honestly, the entire new staff was incredible—welcoming, friendly, and clearly committed to making our stay enjoyable.

We’re a family of five, and we genuinely appreciated the warm and family-friendly atmosphere. This review is based on our real experience, not just a one-off opinion—and I hope it helps others see the value this place offers.

World Series Trip turned Vacation!!!

My stay was wonderful. The staff was great. The breakfast buffet was great. My bed was very comfortable and my room was very spacious. I will be back to stay here when I come back to Destin. My ONLY complaint is that my bathroom wasn't very clean and my floor was pretty dirty. My white socks were black on the bottom and the bathroom gave me the heeby jeebies. But other than those things, everything was wonderful!! Cant wait until we co,me back to Destin!!

Could feel the dirt and sand under our feet in room. Floor hadn’t been mopped in a while. Pretty strong for in room -musty. No light for entire trip in elevator. Hall floors not mopped often as spills were there for days. Had to get towels every day. Despite asking for towel service. Staff at front desk super friendly though!!

Not horrible but come prepared…

Front desk/lobby attendant was fantastic… very friendly and accommodating. The room had a spectacular view of the bay and beach area as long as large service/work trucks were not parked all day. I like that you can rent boats and jet skis so close.
Breakfast in the lobby was non-existent and not refilled to accommodate the number of guests staying in the hotel. We ended up bringing coffee, donuts and danish into our room.
The bathroom was not clean, there was dirt and dust behind the door and in corners of the room. However, the cleaning staff was very friendly.
Our room faced the bay and when the blinds were closed, a portion of the blinds had been cut or broken allowing those outside in the parking lot to see into the room. I used a towel to hang between the blinds to close the space.
There was a dead cockroach on the floor in our room I can only hope came from the adjoining room as it was the only one I saw however, I pulled everything out of our bags to make sure we were bringing nothing home with us.
We did not go to the pool.
The location of the hotel is wonderful on 98 and we were able to get to everything very quickly. Not sure I would stay at this hotel again, for the price and condition of the rooms. Was my first vacation in over 10 years and I made sure I enjoyed myself.

We were there 2 days and the 1st day our ac went out, the blinds in our room were broken and let light in, only had 1 towel for 4 people. The pillows were way too soft and the pool closed too early/ the floor in our room was full of sand the 1st time we stepped foot in it.

We checked in on 2/20/25 around 7pm, notified staff that we had no tissue or towels. Then proceeded to check the room the linen was dirty, notifies staff again 2 of the young ladies was really nice. Night front desk rep was so rude and instead of wanting to assist shs offers a refund smh. I didnt ask for a refund i ask for a different room or fresh li en. Nightn manager made sure we got what aas needed but had to wait tol 12am to get fresh linen. Was not accommodated for the inconvenience, will not come back.

Our first room had only cold water and a really dirty bathroom floor. In our second room they only had two full beds left, and no king, and both beds had dirty linens. They had no bottom sheet seperating you from the duvet. Housekeepers got lazy. The room also had a broken tv, dirty floors, greasy counters, and pretty much everything was filthy and very dusty. We were exhausted from a long drive and just gave up and stayed. We will never stay here again. We are planning to request a full refund.

Well the receptionist was very nice even though I mentioned I looked forward to laying by the pool and it was empty!
The room; clean, bed was fine, TV didn’t work, no toilet paper holder, no wash cloth, access door broken, had to walk around.
Manager came by and said hello at breakfast; juice machine broken, no eggs (it was 8:45am) stale bagels ( been frozen too long) and hard dry biscuits. Waffles were good, thank goodness. People were nice but details matter.

The first night we checked in, we attempted to shower.
The shower rod was broke & when
You would try to close the shower curtain. It would just fall back down open and water will go on the floor.
They did move us to a different room, I had my one year-old in the floor, letting her play and crawl around, and her legs was black from the floor in our room that they had moved us to, so I took her to the shower and was washing her legs off and the shower would not drain. I was an over ankle deep water, trying to wash her legs maintenance did come in and plunge it which fixed it then when we got back from the beach, we tried to bump the air conditioner down from 68 where it wasn’t so humid and muggy in the room and we put it on 60 and it would not cool off past 68° then we noticed little baby cockroaches in the room, & bigger ones in the hall. I do not recommend this place.

Quality Inn allowed us to transfer our reservation to their facility after a horrible experience and it was greatly appreciated during Spring Break. Expedia had reserved us to another hotel that they never reserved our stay after driving for 12 hours and already checking in and allowing us to pay in advance, so we had to transfer hotels. We did request a pool, beachside and breakfast when having to be relocated to the Quality Inn. The staff checking in upfront had a horrible attitude from the moment I checked in. The owner did come and assist and corrected the issue the initial lady kept huffing as if we had made it harder having to transfer to the Quality Inn. The elevator's light was not working so we utilized the steps. The pool had a trash can/lid floating in it and was not 1/3 way full. Pool must have not been open yet for the season. The beach was a small ill place set up behind building but cute and clean on the inlet with a small dock with boat and jet ski rentals. Room was not super clean, had very worn and tattered bedding, phones and tv didn't work which may have been an effect of storms earlier in the month. Someone had left an old baked potato in the microwave, but we were very thankful just to have a room and just cleaned it out. We did feel it was at a safe area; the breakfast was great and a great pizza place next door. We did meet a very kind lady who worked weekends, and she gave us great tips of places to visit and was super helpful
