Air conditioning didn't work in the room. There was hair in the bathtub. The lamps were daisychained into surge protectors that was a tripping hazard. We also got a 600 am wakeup call we didn't ask for.

We will not be staying here again. I expected way better for as much as we payed.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The AC was unadjustable and said 60 but it was extremely hot. They were doing repairs so I had trouble with attending my zooms threw out the noise. They also forgot to mention the water was off during that time. However the staff gave me water and free amenities due to the situation. Overall the place is clean and very nice!

Our room had no hot water the 4 nights we were there and none of us could connect to the WiFi. I talked to the gentleman at the front desk 3 nights in a row about the hot water. He compensated us with free breakfast for the first night and the other 2 he said he would have his manager contact me. They could not move us to another room because the hotel was fully booked for the weekend. I gave him my phone number for the manager and he never called me. Monday when we checked out I ran into the manager and explained our issues and he was not aware of them. He was going to refund us the last night of our stay but I got the final charges this morning (Wednesday) and was not given the refund. I do not recommend staying here if you don’t want issues with your room to not be resolved in a timely manner.

We arrived too early(noon)to check in so they held our bags as we had a show to attend. After the show,at 5 o’clock, we tried to check in but were told they were oversold and had no rooms available. They tried to accommodate us at a sister property but eventually told us they might have a room after all. The system was showing the room as dirty so they were going to go check it out to see if it had indeed been cleaned. Another party tried to check in after us and they were told the same. We were perplexed about them not having a room for us as we were there at noon and they had our bags stored. Their reservation system is very inadequate, I have never been denied a room with a valid reservation! They eventually got us a room but the experience was bewildering. The hotel buffet was non existent and the bar closed by 9. We had to walk 3 blocks to get a coke. Not the experience we had hoped for.

Front desk employees were rude at check-in and made comments about it not being their problem after another guest complained of the air conditioning not working after they walked away. Our room had stains all over, hair in the tub, false lashes stuck to the carpet. There was nothing that said you had to pay extra for parking. We were so unsatisfied we left 13hrs before check out. Hotel also had 2 restaurants near with rooftop seating during world cup playoffs, so heard yelling all night. In addition I was told they needed a card for incidentals (which I have never had to do before) and was charged $200 not including the extra $68 I had to pay to park in their lot. Will never recommend tis hotel to anyone ever.

The staff were great! But the property is in rough shape; walls, furniture, floors, etc. were all in a state of disrepair. The restaurant/bar was open when it should've been and the parking was almost $40 extra. Not to mention the lobby was completely tore yp due to a water leak - which happens, but they didnt offer an apology or discount or even mention the noise would be so loud and disruptive.

Made a reservation online, and got there for the Chris Brown / Usher concert - no where to park, parking is hard to find, and then told us when we were checking in that there was no rooms due to an emergency renovation and didn’t care to tell us beforehand. Horrible service. Horrible everything.

-My room barely had any water flow in the sink. Could not use it to wash up or brush teeth. Staff was aware of the issue but hotel management has not fixed it still.
- Gym did not have a bench to perform any work out routines.
Dumbell rack is nice with good amount of weights.
Overall property needs to be cleaned up and alot of maintenace to care for.

Everything was good except there was no running hot water in my room. For washing my hands, and taking a shower, you had to let it run for a long time before it got a little warm. They were doing maintenance throughout the hotel, so maybe that effected the water, but otherwise I slept well.

Did not have breakfast as described. Charged $3 per water bottle in hotel room. (Obviously snacks are never free, but I had never encountered being charged for water. Let alone $3 for a tiny bottle.) Additionally, I was not notified UNTIL I arrived that there would be no hot water in the morning. Diego, who was working the front desk, was amazing... and the best part of our stay. I booked 3 rooms for the weekend - 2 of those rooms had no water to the shower/bathtub the entire weekend. Hotel security was lacking as the front door had to be propped open 24/7 because the 'after hours' card reader was inoperable. This hotel relies on a 40 spot public parking ramp, so it's hit-or-miss if you get a parking spot (which you are charged $30 a night for if you're fortunate enough to get a spot.) I recommend staying anywhere else but here.

Diego was amazing when we checked in, but that's where the amazing ended. Property is being renovated, so our room on the 3rd floor had no water running to the bathtub/shower for the 5 days we were here. The front entrance door could not be secured due to the room card reader not working properly, so the door was blocked open at all hours of the day and night. The hotel only has a public parking ramp (approximately 40 spots) so it's hit or miss if you can park your vehicle or not. This property used to be one of the best in downtown Minneapolis, but I would recommend staying anywhere but here.

Property had construction on going, which was not listed or mentioned during booking anywhere. Elevators were not clean, room carpet did not look very clean. Hangers had dust on them, so i had to clean them before placing my cloth on. Sink and toilet were outdated. Shower was nice and roomy.
I am suppose to be traveling weekly for work and was hoping to stay at this hotel every week. Hoping after construction/remodel is complete, the place will look better.

Note that we didn't end up staying here. Upon checking in, they told us their AC was broken. They let us cancel without penalty (or use box fans) so that was a plus and I appreciated it! But I wish they had told us ahead of time so we could plan, rather than parking, bringing everything inside in the rain, and scrambling to find another hotel. It didn't look like the issue had just happened, because lots of box fans were already sitting behind the check in desk for use and it was already quite hot inside. I can't speak to the state of the rooms, but what I did see of the hotel (lobby, lobby restroom) looked quite run down and dingy.

The entire hotels air conditioning was broken in the middle of the summer-They claimed they couldnt reach us due to booking through a third party. Hotels are ALWAYS able to email-It was too late to find other accommodations but have been trying to contact the general manager for 1 week since the stay to discuss this situation and they have made no attempt to return any phone calls-This is a hospitality industry and I find it unbelievable the lack of consideration, courtesy and professionalism.

Any other week, this hotel should be a great choice to stay in downtown. Large rooms, convenient parking (additional), good breakfast choices a la carte, attentive staff... just that this time, as summer starts, and on a weekend, the AC failed in the whole building. There were also some renovations taking place at the same time, and the water heater was somehow affected. They did their best to ease the situation, providing complimentary water bottles, breakfast vouchers and free parking. I would give them another try.

Our room was unusable due to plumbing issues, so they had to move us. Buty biggest issues with the hotel is that they are under construction and never notified us of that. They didn't have a kitchen, so no breakfast was available. No air conditioning was available the whole weekend we stayed. They offered box fans, but the hotel was hot, and very stuffy. And they have no pool as advertised. We were offered to leave and get refunded, but where would we find another place to stay late Friday night when 3 big sporting events were going on at the same time. Very disappointed in Double Tree. Normally they are a good hotel to stay in. This was the worst one we ever been to.

There was NO air conditioning in our room because they’re “saving” money so it wasn’t going to be turned on until after Memorial Day. If I would have known that ahead of time I wouldn’t have booked here. On the 11th floor is was kinna toasty in there.

The air conditioning didn’t work, so they gave me a fan which barely helped when the temps were in the 80s during the day and heated up the room. Toilet stopped working the second night. Bed was not comfortable. They didn’t offer water or anything to make up for lack of AC. It seems this property has been without heating or air conditioning for 7+ months. I stayed here about a year ago and it was a great stay so I was sad to have such an awful experience this time. Will not be back.

So many issues I will list them individually.
1. Parked vehicle in ramp upon arrival - access phone at entry door does not reach anyone. You have to walk downstairs and walk through WIDE OPEN doors on the main level at 10 PM.
2. Room 316 smells from marijuana and cigarettes. This is a non-smoking room.
3. Bathroom is falling apart - faucet drips, faucet trickles out water when turned on, toilet seat is broken, shower takes 10 minutes for water to warm up
4. Room was extremely cold. Set thermostat to 81, never got over 70.
5. Closet door is broken, cannot open or close it
6. Cannot phone to front desk - have to walk back to lobby to talk to staff
7. Needed blankets and pillows for sofa bed - he had to leave front desk unattended to go to the 6th floor for where they store blankets and pillows.
8. No sign left for the few guests that arrived while he was retrieving the requested blankets
9. “Blankets” were two sheets and a flimsy layer, maybe a blanket if your internal temp is always hovering around inferno
10. Individuals loitering around the property. An actual security guard would go a long way.

In the end- I do not recommend. This wasn’t a bad day as the last time I stayed there a year ago had mechanical issues that clearly haven’t been resolved (no heat / last year it was no A/C)

I will never stay here again.

The fronts of doors and cabinets were marred and the bathroom door frame looked dirty at the bottom. Our next room looked somewhat better in these regards. We checked in, and our room was far less than average. No hot water, the shower didn't work, two lamps didn't work, lights in the bathroom were incredibly dim, the HVAC didn't work. The craziest part was that this was in an accessible room, and I hope they address the issues. We did not request or need an accessible room, but that was what they assigned us. We told staff about it and they weren't able to switch our room the first night (sold out for a concert), but we were able to switch the next day. The new room had no hot water, but everything else worked. When we checked out, no one asked how our stay was, probably because they were dealing with a lot of guests in similar situations, and the ceiling had a gaping hole with a huge leak and part of the walls and trim were coming off in the lobby. I'm sad that Hilton has attached their name to this hotel. I changed my reservation in Seattle from a Hilton to a Hyatt because of this. They will have to work to get me back.
I have already submitted feedback to DoubleTree and Hilton directly.

I had high hopes for this stay but was unfortunately disappointed from the start. I called ahead to check if our room was ready and was placed on hold for 10 minutes after being told to “hold on,” with no one ever returning to the line.

Upon arrival, several maintenance issues were immediately noticeable. The parking ramp was experiencing mechanical problems, the revolving front door was broken, and there was a significant leak in the ceiling just inside the entrance, with water actively dripping.

The overall service experience did not improve. We were not greeted or acknowledged upon arrival, and staffing appeared to be very limited throughout our stay, with only 1–3 employees managing the front desk during peak check-in times.

Cleanliness and upkeep were also concerns. The elevator floors were visibly worn and dirty, with crumbs present. Additionally, the hotel had not yet switched from heat to air conditioning, making the room uncomfortably hot. We had to open the windows just to make it tolerable.

There were a couple of positives: we were provided a warm cookie at check-in, and the staff did hold our luggage for us. However, a comment was made about us having “a lot of stuff,” which felt unnecessary given it was for four people.

Overall, the experience fell well below expectations, especially given the number of operational and service issues encountered.

Check in was awful! Truly terrible. Check in is late, 4:00 and they don’t text or anything if your room is ready early. They turned everyone away and told everyone to come back at 4 which lead to long lines and wait times. Digital keys don’t work on the elevator so those that had them, still had to stand in line for room keys There were only two check in clerks. When concert starts at 5, people were doing hair and make up in the small bathroom in the lobby. Parking is not good at the hotel either and it’s $30 a night if you find a spot. The ceiling in the lobby appeared to be falling down and baseboards were ripped off the walls. We won’t be staying here again. You’d think they would be used to large crowds but it was poorly handled last night.

Front desk staff was excellent! Helped with an early check in and offered a complimentary bottle of water. The room had an odor that wasn’t awful, but wasn’t pleasant. The toilet plunger situated between my room and the next was off putting to say the least. The toilet didn’t flush well, but did eventually flush which was a plus. The shower first sputtered as if the water had recently been shut off. This may seem silly, but the bath towels smelled like burnt caramel corn. Parking was convenient. Easy walk to the convention center.

Checked in and the toilet was backed up. Called front desk and they were only able to bring a plunger to the room. Half of the outlets didn’t work. I went to get ice and the ice bucket had moldy water sitting in it. I went to the front desk and the woman wasn’t much help. She told me I had to contact Hotels.com because I booked through them. She also told me I would get a new ice bucket brought to my room and I never received it. I’ve stayed at this property before and always enjoyed the stay, but after this last experience I will definitely not be returning.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament. When checking in, there were a lot of people, but only 1 person working the desk and he was also trying to train a new associate. This young man, curly black hair and mustache (I didn’t get his name) was the saving grace of this whole experience. He went over and above and was very professional with the checking in chaos. The major downside was there was no AC in the rooms. Each room was over 75 degrees with the hallways being extremely warmer than the room. Luckily the windows opened up a little bit.

I had a very uncomfortable stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown. The room was excessively hot, and it felt like the heating system was constantly running with no way to cool it down. I was told there were limited fans available, which didn’t really solve the problem.

There was also a maintenance issue with the tub, which leaked very hot water continuously. This not only made the bathroom uncomfortable but seemed like a serious waste of water.

While the breakfast was decent, the overall experience was disappointing due to the room conditions and the level of customer service I encountered.

The room was clean. The fridge and microwave were nice to have. The cookies were a nice touch. The beds were not comfortable. I felt like I was at an angle and the mattress felt like it was on a board. We were there 4 nights and only had our trash taken and fresh towels once. I had to call multiple times to get towels and trash out. Our beds were never made. The restaurant/bar was closed most of our stay and when it was open, they did not have a cook and limited stock of beverages. Definitely opportunities for improvement.

Overnight staff was so rude , first did not even look up from his phone when we arrived. When we were showering and watching a movie and they called and told us if we keep making noise they were going to call the police and have us escorted out at 3AM, we were on the 8th floor and he said he could hear us from the lobby ? On top of that skink handle was broken, the shower was freezing on the hottest level, window was so dirty could barely see out of it. And when my car was in there parking lot, my trunk handle “weirdly” got broken so now I cannot open my trunk even tho upon arrival we had no issue. We were supposed to check out Sunday and left Saturday instead ! Staff could not even care why.We will never stay there again ! Never felt so uncomfortable somewhere in my life . I personally don’t recommend staying here ! :)

Staff was nice. Rooms are nice. Parking ramp attached to hotel. The door from the parking garage to the hotel has a buzzer that’s broken.l but you don’t know it. Just sit there buzzing forever. You have to walk around to the front and this is annoying to do with luggage when it’s -5 degrees outside. Staff said “yeah, it’s broken, sorry…” Should probably fix that especially when charging $30/night to park.

the staff were horrible especially to people with special needs!! Your policies are horrible also. I wanted to cancel my reservation for the next day and they said I had to contact expedia. Expedia said the hotel need reimburse the fee. You should be ashamed to run a business like this.

The thermostat was not working. The room remained cold no matter what temperature I set. Also the water did not get hot; it remained luke warm. The knob to switch from faucet to shower was broken too. The coffee maker was dirty and there was no replacement of coffee grounds or tea bags or paper cups even though I stayed for 3 nights.
The positive thing was that the room was very roomy and the bed was comfortable.

The room felt neglected such as tiny black fruit fly gnats flying around and there's no vegetable or food or garbage around but yet it's questionable why there's even any in there if it was cleaned. There's two spots in the wall behind the couch of the furniture when you walk in that has openings in the fixture of the wall which is questionable too. The water pressure in the bathroom wasn't the greatest using the sink, plus my card got hacked randomly out of nowhere after I used a free secured Wi-Fi connection, which is really making me questionably wondering why somebody from Florida would be able to go on the Wi-Fi that far out and hacked my card for using it to purchase dinner using doordash, I understand that the hotel is a cashless Hotel but the meal prices were a little bit High but the service downstairs in the bar was wonderful yesterday morning ordering breakfast when I was staying there and I definitely give her very high credit and respect for her professionalism and being super polite and kind. Plus nobody told me that parking was separate from being included in the booking process which almost caused me to go negative to my account. Veey overwhelmed. I spent a ton of money here suring the Twin Cities Con 2025 and it just really just makes me wonder why I booked here...

My stay was not great. There was no A/C and the rooms were extremely hot so I could not sleep. The rooms were not serviced and there were blood stains on the towels and on the curtains. There was no hot water in my shower until day 4 and the staff were not very helpful when the issues were raised

We booked through expedia... arrived to find our king suite was reduced to 2 full size beds. The room had what looked like sauce on the walls, floors, our toliet paper holder was missing:/ even when putting the air conditioner at 62 degrees there was barely any air coming out. Which lead to us sleeping in what felt like 75 degrees in the room both nights. The front desk staff was super nice but their were too many problems woth the room and when we complain they said we could wait until tommorow to get the king suite but we were only there for 2 nights and had no where to go if we didnt take the 2 fulls. Overall, actual place is nice but room cleaniness was bad and some things need to be updated.

My room had a bloody bandage stuck to bathroom wall. We had a large patch of what appeared to be black mold in the ceiling by the window. And to top it off I was locked in the bathroom due to a faulty door for over an hour. I have photos if needed as well.

I found the furniture dirty in the lobby which is the last place I would expect. Big picture the hotel looks great; but things like seeing dirt around the bathtub, and the vanity was disappointing.

This not the standard for a Hilton chain of hotels.

The dining area was the cleanest area in the hotel.
