I liked how close it was to our venue but there is NO parking or valet. It’s a very sketchy area at night - so beware
Also, we were woken up at 2am by an alarm that went off every minute.
We called the front desk and basically said there’s nothing they can do and they had no idea what the alarm was for so that’s comforting. Finally went off around 4am but we had to be up at 7am so no sleep for us
Honestly, the MN governor and mayor have really destroyed Minneapolis
Only go if you really really don’t mind crime or drugs

DON’T STAY HERE! My wife and I had a terrible experience in this place. The price is not cheap as you can tell but the service and cleanness of the place is horrible! Rooms are not cleaned, you have to personally beg to get it cleaned (or otherwise they won’t do it), front desk staff is absolutely helpless and if you have an issue they give you the email of the hotel manager (who doesn’t visit the hotel) and she never replies. We don’t want people to go through what we had to live. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, even if you have to pay a couple of dollars more. Look at the rating of this hotel in Expedia and Google and you’ll understand that is not only us thinking the same

We stayed here for our wedding and we loved the room. It was clean, spacious, and it felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. It was really cozy. I also love that they’re pet friendly. The only cons to staying here is that i had an issue after booking that I needed to talk to them about and their phone line was unreachable. Also, be aware that there is no parking lot, it is paid parking. The ramp is very secure though. The staff was also very kind.

Parking for one night should not be $40, and it does not matter what the situation is involving the hotel being downtown. It’s obvious the Citi does not care if visitors want to come back and the hotel isn’t negotiating with the city well enough there needs to be a partnership, but it seems like I’m paying for lousy management of the city.

When we checked in, we noticed lobby was very warm. Were allowed into the room 2 hours ahead of nornal checkin, so that was nice. Received our keys and went to our room only to find out it was 88 degrees and the AC wasn't working. We went to the desk and they explained the Central AC in the hotel wasn't working and they were having trouble getting someone to come in and work on fixing it. We went to the baseball game and then we came back, the temp had fallen to 85. Checked back with the front desk. They offered a fan. We then went out to dinner. Upon our return, room was at 84 degrees and we let the front desk attendant that we would be leaving and that we expected a full refund, which she said shouldn't be an issue. It's unfortunate as the hotel seemed nice ans very conveniently located to many downtown Minneapolis events and locations. Would consider giving the place another shot.

This stay raised serious concerns regarding habitability and basic consumer rights. The building’s HVAC system was completely nonfunctional, and the hotel had no fans available. My room remained at 85°, making it unusable.

When I asked for an explanation, the staff told me the temperature was “controlled by the state of Minnesota” and took zero ownership of the issue. No alternative accommodations, remedies, or meaningful assistance were offered. This response was dismissive and unacceptable.

Given the lack of climate control, the refusal to take responsibility, and the failure to provide a habitable room, I am requesting that Expedia contact me directly. A refund or appropriate compensation is warranted based on the circumstances and the hotel’s failure to provide the services

The thermostat didn’t seem to work. Room was very warm but thankfully I had a window that opened. Even though it was cold outside I had to sleep with it open. Didn’t seem to have enough staff as I couldn’t get buzzed in when I arrived because desk staff told me (when he finally came back) he was off dealing with a shower issue and was alone. Since I was just arriving I didn’t have a key card to get in and had to wait a long time for him to let me in, while it was raining. The breakfast each morning was great on my way to the conference center. Room was fine other than the temp which I’m unclear if they ever looked into even though I mentioned it to staff multiple times. Probably wouldn’t rebook

Breakfast was store-bought fare, which we microwaved ourselves. Nothing fresh. Parking was not included. The bathroom had no hooks or rod to dry towels on.The room was 82 degrees, but the AC was not working. We were told it was against Minnesota law to run AC before summer, which isn't true. There was a fire underneath the building, which knocked out power for at least several hours. We checked out 3 days early due to the fire (by the way, no emergency lights in the stairwell). Yet, The Chambers refused a full refund, claimed the power interruption was minor (it wasn't), and only refunded half of one night. Apparently we were expected to stay in a hotel which was literally under firefighter care. Ridiculous. DO NOT STAY AT THE CHAMBERS!

Stayed at The Chambers Hotel Minneapolis and had a pretty mixed experience.

When we arrived, the hallway and our room were extremely hot (around 80°), which made it uncomfortable right away. We were also told breakfast ended at 10 AM, but found out the next morning it actually ended at 9—so we missed it entirely due to incorrect information from staff.

The biggest issue, though, was the lack of hot water. Our shower would not warm up at all. When we went downstairs to ask about it, a different employee informed us that there was no hot water in any of the rooms in the building—and that this should have been communicated to us the night before (it wasn’t).

At that point, we decided we couldn’t stay and checked out early. To their credit, the staff member we spoke with was very kind and handled things well. We received about 75% off the first night and a full refund for the second night, which we appreciated.

Overall, I’d rate this stay a 5/10. Not terrible, but definitely frustrating due to multiple communication issues and the lack of basic amenities.

Overall, nice hotel, great location, cool and modern rooms with huge showers. No amenities which doesn’t bother me that much but it would be nice if they had a small bar maybe. The breakfast was a bit depressing and the shower could’ve been cleaned up a bit better, but I’m also a bit of a clean freak so most people wouldn’t have noticed; other than that - great place to stay, friendly staff, and overall a great hotel.

Front desk was aware and stated they had someone coming out to fix it but next day, it was still not fixed. Not the staffs fault hot water was broken but definitely not ideal. The room also didn’t have AC so it was 75 in our room the entire stay. Thankfully, our room didn’t face he sun and it wasn’t hot out so we could crack the windows. When we checked out we got 50% reimbursed for the no hot water issue, which was nice. I probably wouldn’t stay here again just because it wasn’t really what pictures had shown and the parking ramp behind the building doesn’t have a skywalk connecting, so we had to walk in the pouring rain with all of our stuff.

This was tough! The hotel ran out of hot water on Friday night, our stay was until Sunday. When we realized, we tried to call… the phone had no cord connected to the wall. We had to head down and ask what was going on. Mason was absolutely amazing, he handled every inquiry professionally, if it wasn’t for him I fear the outcome would have been worse. We had to turn the AC off because it was this loud metal cranking sound. Overall we didn’t shower for 2 days, we got a “refund”, breakfast was very sad, the phone didn’t work, the AC was broken, there is no parking and we got the “a mechanic is coming in 30minutes for about 24hrs. I would probably pause on staying here.

The hotel was super clean. Love the decor. The person who checked us in. Was way too talkative and not really listening to what he was asking us as he would ask a question about something we already answered. Also was told the whole fee was now $75 not $50. The person said that that’s on their website. And it may have been but I’ve stayed at this place over three times and it’s always 50. So maybe something happened where they raised it. They were out of ice since Friday. So the water in the lobby was warm as well as the water at breakfast was warm. Also, they no longer have the Fuller continental breakfast. Maybe that’s why they have to feed to cover the breakfast. But all there was cold items not even bagels. I saw a piece of toast in a bag. Cereal, yogurt. Two eggs boiled. Orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice. Oh, and oatmeal. And some sort of cold waffle. I love the location, which is why I went here again and usually had a really good time here, but those things really stuck out to me as things that really mean a lot to customer customers. Probably won’t stay here again because of those things. But if you’re just looking for a nice clean, good looking place and not expecting anything else to go along with that you should definitely stay here.

They mentioned the free grab and go breakfast, but when we went and stopped by, the buffet was not stocked at all and we only could choose from cold cereal or oatmeal packets. The people in front of us complained that they were out of toast, muffins and donuts.
